Hey everyone,
This update brings a lot of improvements to Idle Life. It includes many new items, reworked crafting recipes, adjusted item drop chances, a reworked main menu, multi save support, start settings, performance improvements, and many bug fixes.
A lot of this update is focused on making the game cleaner, faster, and easier to expand in the future.
New Items 🌿
A large amount of new items has been added to the game.
These new items help expand progression, crafting, gathering, research, and future content paths. Some of them are already used directly, while others prepare the game for upcoming systems and balancing changes.
Reworked Crafting Recipes ⚒️
Many crafting recipes have been reworked and adjusted.
The goal of these changes is to make progression feel smoother, remove confusing recipe steps, and improve the overall item flow.
Reworked Item Drop Chances 🎲
Item drop chances have also been reworked.
This should make gathering, crafting, smelting, and other item sources feel better balanced. Some items may now be easier or harder to obtain depending on their place in progression.
Major Performance Improvements 🚀
This update includes significant performance improvements across multiple areas of the game.
We improved performance for CPU, GPU, VRAM, and RAM.
Since Idle Life is heavily based on UI, widgets, item data, textures, saves, and backend systems, these optimizations are very important for the long-term health of the game. The game should now run lighter and more efficiently, especially as more content gets added over time.
Reworked Main Menu 🖥️
The main menu has been reworked and now includes a few small settings options.
You can now adjust basic options such as:
Screen Mode
Screen Percentage
Max FPS
More settings will be added in future updates.
Multi Save Support 💾
Idle Life now supports multiple saves through the UI.
You can now create and load multiple saves directly in the game, without needing to rely on console commands or manual save handling.
This should make testing, restarting, experimenting, and playing different worlds much easier.
Start Settings 🌍
We also added support for Start Settings.
This means you can now configure special options directly in the create menu when starting a new world.
The first custom start setting is No Durability Mode. With this mode enabled, durability is disabled and items will no longer lose durability.
Important: Any special mode that makes the game easier will disable the Shop and Events for that save.
This is done to keep community systems fair, especially because Shop and Event systems are connected to shared or online features.
Database Item Costs 🛒
Item costs are now handled through the database.
This means we can now reconfigure item prices without needing to release a full game update every time.
This gives us much more flexibility for balancing, the shop system, events, and future economy changes.
Research Highlights ✨
Research entries now support special highlights for different research types.
This should make it easier to understand what kind of research you are looking at and help important research paths stand out more clearly.
Bug Fixes 🛠️
This update also includes numerous bug fixes across different parts of the game.
Some of these fixes are small, while others improve stability, progression, UI behavior, and general gameplay flow.
Why this update matters 💚
This update is another important step toward making Idle Life more stable, flexible, and ready for future content.
The new items, recipe changes, drop chance adjustments, multi save support, start settings, database item costs, UI improvements, and performance optimizations all help build a stronger foundation for the next updates.
Thank you for playing, testing, reporting bugs, and following the development of Idle Life. Your feedback helps a lot and makes it easier to improve the game step by step. 💚
