Zort – Episode 3: SEAGATE is coming!

We know you’ve been waiting for this one for a long time… and it’s finally here. Episode 3: SEAGATE will be released on October 4!

This chapter brings new mechanics, bigger areas to explore, and plenty of adventure waiting around every corner. We’ve put a lot of love into this update, and we can’t wait for you to dive in.

ZORT – Episode 3 Delay

• Fixed the issue where settings were not applied when no microphone was plugged in.
• Added Vulkan and DirectX 12 support. Default still will be DirectX 11
• Fixed Osman drag animation not working while emoting.

• Fixed game crashing at the start for some people.
• Added settings for camera effects, leaning and view bobbing toggle for accessibility.
• Fixed a stuck position on first map.

Episode 3: Seagate

Bugfixes

• Removed presents since it was temporary for the new year. Other new year stuff will be available for a little while. You can return to the presents branch from steam betas named "presents". But that version will not be updated.
• Fixed deactivating mines didn't show for clients.
• Fixed mines exploding constantly for some reason.

PATCH NOTES

• Added Steam Cloud integration.
• Added head bob toggle setting.
• Fixed players wearing boxing gloves like an item.
• Fixed weird things happening when you return to lobby after changing floors.
• Fixed loading times taking longer when changing floors.
• Better player controls after getting hit with a bottle.
• Fixed getting stuck on loading screen if disconnected.
• Removed Zorti plushie ads since we didn't reach the threshold :')
• Fixed snow effect stuck on screen after ending an emote.

UPDATE 0.2.7

The Christmas Holiday:

• You will find the lobby full of christmas decorations! Also don't forget to press alt + 3 on the snow!
• Many things in levels are adjusted so they suit the christmas theme.
• Added christmas gifts to all episodes. Random things will happen when you open them!

Added The Chaos Slider.

• This is a lever that sets the chaos value for your next playthrough.
• It tweaks spawn times, monster values and many other things!
• Since this breaks the game in many ways, you can't play a level with chaos value before finishing it once.

Added the Boomerang.

• This is an item that comes back to you. Any items it touched will also be picked up.
• Be careful with it though, since it is dangerous.
• See how it interacts with other things in the game!

• Added the two robots that Telerick is talking about.
• Now you can't bring down the net before the mudur event.
• Now host can force players back to level selection lobby.
• Fixed mines sometimes not triggering.
• Fixed getting stuck on collision in a cinematic in second level.
• Fixed sanity post process not correctly working on first level.
• Now zoomies will be affected by Mudur and mines.
• Adjusted Mudur's disabled texture so it is more clear when it happens.
• Adjusted LODs for many models so they don't popup very clearly.
• Now mine explosions can be chained.
• Fixed light probes not updating when active scene is changed. (Black items and ultra bright main menu)

🚨PATCH NOTES

• Added Direct IP connection and LAN connection. Port is 7777.
• Now everybody can't die to one explosion, there is always one survivor. (Except when you are playing solo)
• Now Osman pulls you toward him with a ground pound if it can't reach you.
• Fixed skinwalkers sound levels not matching the players sound levels.
• Fixed UI stuck on "Waiting For Other Players to Skip"
• Fixed cinematics stuck on black screen.
• We made it so you can play instruments on the concert zone before and after the concert.
• Adjusted some no-instrument zones.
• Adjusted the lighting for the ritual room so it is easer to see where the code is.
• "Music improves mental health" signs are not lying anymore.
• Now you can't pause the instruments while on the concert.
• Fixed the CaRtOoNz bug.
• Fixed low framerates or frame drops causing players to fling themselves out of map. Yeah weird shit...
• Fixed Osman glitching when thrown a bottle to the face.
• Fixed chat UI being active in main menu.
• Fixed occlusion for some walls.
• Fixed some spawn points for Mi and Zoomies.
• Fixed being able to activate the turnstiles from behind.
• Fixed multiple Osmans spawning if you return to the first floor too many times.
• Fixed other mines not working when at least one is deactivated.
• Now you get the hint reminder every 5 items you pick up.

Localization and languages

• Fixed some typos in all languages.
• Added in spanish.

We worked on making you play the game better...

• Fixed the echo effect remaining on players' voices after falling into holes
• Many of the unclear areas where you need to progress in the game have been clarified.
• Reduced the spawn rate of mimic creatures.
• The error in purchasing items from vending machines has been fixed.
• The settings menu has been made more functional.
• Sound detectors (ZORTO) have been heavily nerfed. They can no longer be heard from a distance and a time period has been added before they can work again.
• Fixed a lot of collision bugs.
• Fixed monsters getting stuck while walking.
• Fixed Dexter's walking error after being scared.
• Ambient sound bugs have been fixed.
• Character story music has been fixed.
• Noise pollution in the game has been prevented to a large extent.
• Errors related to the number of players in the cinematic have been fixed.
• Added hidden antis to creatures.
• Spider mimics can now be kicked. All you have to do is walk on it.

• Fixed items not working when exiting and re-entering the game.
• Notes and some environment details have been localized to all other supported languages.
• Holes have been added to the map. Thus, moving around the place became more difficult. You can also have fun moments by pushing your friends into holes.
• Some lighting bugs fixed
• Dexter's chance of appearing has been reduced
• The chance of Skinwalker appearing has been reduced
• The chance of ManSlender appearing has been reduced
• Jimmy's key was moved to a much more prominent location
• The saw in the factory was moved to a much more prominent place
