Hunters, The Phantom Update is now live! This update brings a mix of new threats, new content and quality of life improvements to the Bunker and Zone. From a new roaming danger in the Swamp, to expanded storage systems that make your stash more organised and easier to manage, there's plenty to discover both in and out of raids. Stay sharp! This update changes more than it seems...
Something is moving in the Swamp… and it doesn't stay still for long... We've added a new roaming boss to put you even more on edge when trying to find and secure your loot. Not only that, but he's rocking a ghillie suit to make him just as much an unseen threat as he is a formidable enemy. Should you track him down and come out of the battle victorious, you'll find coordinates on your map leading to his secret stash, which has some epic gear inside. Just make sure he doesn't find you first...
Added a new roaming boss to Swamp called Phantom.
Phantom actively patrols the map, similar to Arman, so you'll need to stay alert at all times.
Phantom is equipped with a unique loadout, including a Ghillie Suit armor designed for maximum concealment, and custom ghillie modifications for his N1o, enhancing stealth gameplay.
Once killed, Phantom drops Coordinates revealing a hidden chest location directly on your map.
The long awaited Stash containers are finally here! And it's not just ammo that's getting the upgrade... We saw your feedback and couldn't agree more that expanding the system beyond improving ammo storage was a must, so now you can also stack your scrap to your hearts content (as long as your hearts content is equal to or less than 99,999 per container...). Containers cannot be taken into raids to keep them as a purely bunker-focused storage solution, but items stored inside containers still count towards quests, crafting and repairs, and they will be automatically consumed when used in these systems.
Added containers to support a variety of items, including: all types of ammo, Scrap Ammo, Scrap Armor, Scrap Food, Scrap Material, Scrap Meds, and Scrap Weapon.
Each container can hold up to 99,999 of a single item, allowing for large-scale resource management.
To craft a container, head to your Crafting Bench in the Bunker and select the new 'Containers' option.
For easier crafting, tick the "Track" option for the Container you want to craft. This helps you know how many materials you need when out in the field.
To help make the Bunker feel that little bit more homely, we've added an array of speakers throughout, along with a radio in the bar to control them. To use the radio, you need to complete the new quest "Get Some Music" given by the Barman. This opens up a new area in Forest with a little surprise inside... Once complete, you can be the DJ in your own post-apocalyptic hellscape. Music tracks are both found around the Zone and unlocked when completing specific quests. There's eight different tracks currently available with more coming in future updates.
Added a new quest "Get Some Music", given by the Barman after completing "Towards Makeshift Camp".
Completing this quest unlocks the brand new Bunker Radio feature.
Added a Bunker Radio and speakers which allow you to find and play music tracks in the Bunker.
Now you can choo-choo-choose your favorite skin for your favorite locomotive! It was about time the train got some love. After all, it's what takes to your hunting grounds which leads to your success or your demise... Either way, now you can show your progress with a load of new visual unlocks, making your trip to the Zone that little bit more your own. So you can enjoy the train skin goodness across all of your saves, skins are unlocked at the account level and not per save. Hunters who have already completed these requirements will instantly unlock all relevant skins.
Added a new train skin system, used by talking to the Conductor.
6 new train skins available, each tied to specific achievements and progression paths:
Green Army - Join the Green Army.
Crimson Corporation - Join the Crimson Corporation.
Scientist - Reach 450+ reputation.
Watcher - Complete the quest "The Crystal".
End Game - Finish the game with any ending.
Anomaly - Complete the game via the secret ending.
There's even more to chase in the Zone with 20 new achievements added in this update!
Whether you're a completionist hunting every last challenge or simply playing through the new content, keep an eye on your achievement list as you might be closer to unlocking something than you think.
The Networker has a new selection of tasks to give! Over 50 new mission objectives have been added to the Networker's pool of repeatable daily quests, giving you more variety and more reasons to head back into the Zone each day. Whether you're hunting specific targets, gathering resources, or pushing deeper into dangerous territory, there's always a fresh contract waiting
Improved image quality - fixed pixel shimmering.
Fixed an issue where certain quest items would fail to spawn.
So, The Phantom Update is here! New threats roam the Zone. New systems help manage your gear. And the Bunker is now more homely than ever before. Whether you're tracking Phantom through the Swamp, uncovering hidden stashes, fine-tuning your loadout, or simply bringing a bit of life back to your bunker with music, this update is about giving you more control, more clarity, and more ways to survive. Stay prepared, Hunters.
Hello everyone,
If you’ve got questions about ZERO Sievert, ZERO Sievert 2, multiplayer, development, or anything else for Luca from CABO Studios and Giuseppe from Underdog, come join us here:
Join the AMA!
Hello everyone,
We wanted to let you know that we’ll be doing an AMA on r/ZEROsievert on Wednesday 6th May at 2pm BST.
Taking part will be Luca from CABO Studios and Giuseppe from Underdog!
If you’ve got questions about Zero Sievert, Zero Sievert 2, multiplayer, or the future of the series, this will be a great chance to ask them.
We hope to see you there!
Hello everyone, Before anything else, we want to say this clearly. Zero Sievert 1 is still a big focus for us, and we’re continuing to support and improve it while we work on what’s next. (As part of that, we’ve just released a new beta that includes a Russian translation!) With that said, today we’re excited to officially share that Zero Sievert 2 is in development! Watch the reveal trailer here For us, this is a chance to take everything we love about Zero Sievert and push it further. We want to build on what made the first game special, keep that addictive extraction loop at the heart of it, and crank up the tension and atmosphere even more. Most importantly, Zero Sievert 2 is being built with multiplayer in mind from the ground up! We also know how much the original Zero Sievert means to this community, so we want to be clear that there’s still more coming for it.
Continue QoL and performance improvements
More content! (Weapons, enemies, etc.)
More languages!
We’ll also keep sharing progress with you regularly through Shoe’s excellent YouTube videos and in our Discord.
You can play solo or in co-op!
It has a team of seasoned developers supporting it
It has a ✨beautiful✨ 2.5D art style
Did we mention that it’s multiplayer?
We know sequel announcements can make people wonder what that means for the original game, so let us be clear. Zero Sievert 1 is still very much part of our plans. Zero Sievert exists because of this community, and we want to take this next step with the same honesty and transparency that got us here in the first place. Thank you for sticking with us, for playing, for sharing feedback (even the negative stuff), and for continuing to support Zero Sievert. We’ll have more to share on Zero Sievert 2 soon (but not too soon 😉), and we’ll keep you updated on Zero Sievert as well. CABO Studios + UNDERDOG Wishlist now!!
Oops! 😓 We made a mistake with the previous build, and we’re really sorry if you were affected by the crash.
The team worked quickly to get a hotfix out, and this should now be fixed.
Patch Notes
Fixed a crash on death.
Really sorry about that! We were so excited to share the Controller Improvements and ✨Borderless Fullscreen✨, but we should have left this one cooking in beta for a little longer.
Hello Hunters!
We just published another hotfix, this one includes some important quality of life updates:
Borderless fullscreen is now available: Hopefully this means less issues with alt-tabbing and gpu drivers, it's enabled by default on fresh installations but you may want to turn it on if you have existing settings. If you are one of the users experiencing issues with alt tabbing the game go and turn Borderless mode ON, tell us here in the comments or on Discord if this solved your issues.
Fixed several potential crashes
Map markers can be placed and removed with just one button on controllers
Map navigation now uses analog stick instead of dpad on controllers
Improved gamepad aim assist
Steamdeck glyphs: steam deck users will now see console-correct images on button prompt, before the graphics were shared with the xbox pad
Inventory: Better handling of item dragging with controller
Radial menu on controllers swapped from right to left stick
and many other minor fixes!
Our next update is FULL of content, fixes and train skins (more on that later...) and we want you to jump in early to put it through its paces.
This update brings a mix of new threats, new content, and meaningful quality-of-life improvements to the Zone. Hello Hunters!
Following the launch of The Rotking Update, we identified several stability issues that were causing unexpected crashes for some players. Thanks to your quick reports (and the log files you sent in), we were able to track these issues down and roll out a hotfix to address them.
A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to report issues and share logs — your feedback and support help us keep ZERO Sievert stable and improving with every update.
If you continue to encounter any issues, please report them on the Steam Discussions or the official Discord so we can investigate further.
See you in the Zone, – The ZERO Sievert Dev Team
This update brings some of the biggest additions yet to ZERO Sievert — new bosses, enemies, factions, perks, and gear — alongside dozens of quality-of-life improvements and fixes.
Face off against the Rotking, uncover chemical secrets beneath the Swamp, and encounter a new Industrial Faction with powerful, unique equipment.
All that, plus new ammunition types, perks, and smarter UI and sound systems make this update one of the most feature-packed yet.
Let’s dive in.
A new threat stalks the Zone. The Rotfang is a twisted mutant born from chemical corruption, bringing new challenges to deep-zone expeditions.
A terrifying new boss emerges from the sewers:
Wields a unique weapon and armor, both infused with chemical properties.
Armor Passive Effect: Standing on chemical anomalies restores HP.
Pairs perfectly with the new Chemical Grenade, offering deadly combat synergies.
A deadly new tool of chaos. On impact, it spawns temporary chemical anomalies on the ground, dealing area damage over time and opening up creative tactical options.
After completing “The Crystal”, a new quest — “Chemical Documents” — sends you back into the sewers to confront the Rotking. Defeat him and recover critical intel to unlock the crafting recipe for Chemical Grenades.
A powerful new end-game faction has appeared in the Industrial Area, unlocked after completing “The Bridge to Zakov.” Speak to the Barman and select the new dialogue option, “Any news?”, to begin your involvement.
Standard Faction Armor: 15% chance to deflect bullets — includes VFX and SFX.
Boss Armor: Deflected bullets heal 25% of their damage back to the wearer.
Unique Boss Weapon: A one-of-a-kind firearm wielded by the faction leader.
5.45x39mm BP – Craftable, high-penetration rounds.
5.45x39mm Horizon – Exclusive to the new Horizon Boss.
7.62x25mm Chemical – Craftable after completing “Chemical Documents.” Dropped only by the Rotking.
Rolling Start (Pistols, SMGs, Shotguns): After standing still for 1 second, gain +30% movement speed for 2 seconds.
Point Blank (Pistols, SMGs, Shotguns): Shots inside effective range have a +20% armor penetration chance on full hits.
Sticky Fingers (Hunter): Find 5x more Roubles in loot.
Grenade Expert: Now grants immunity to flash grenades and your own grenades.
Phantom Bullets (SMGs): Level requirement reduced from 15 → 11.
Point Blank: Adjusted behavior — now triggers on full hits instead of crosshair color indicator.
Ear Ring Volume Slider: Control the volume of grenade ringing effects separately.
Ammo Type Indicator: Easily see which ammo type your weapon is currently using.
Improved Item Tooltip: Now shows how many of that item you own in your bunker stash.
ESC Key Behavior: Consistently returns to the previous menu when navigating settings.
UI for Active Injectors: Cleaner, clearer visualization of currently active injectors.
Rain Sound Fix: Rain audio now correctly stops when the player moves indoors.
New Achievement: Steam achievement for completing the tutorial (unlocks automatically when
the extraction countdown reaches 0).
New Quest – “Chemical Documents”: Introduces the Rotking boss and Chemical Grenade crafting.
New Quest – “Base Building”: Unlocks after “Valuable Item.” Tasked with constructing your first base module.
Swamp Sewer Rework: Major layout and lighting improvements for smoother navigation and stronger atmosphere.
New Extraction Point: Added a new extraction zone in the south-west area of the sewer.
Fixed barman text “Any news?” not displaying correctly.
Fixed crash on chemical anomaly interactions.
Fixed solid wall misalignment during the “Machinery” quest.
Fixed crash caused by player’s own flashbang.
Grenade Expert perk flashbang immunity now works correctly.
Shotgun Slug ammo no longer has a minimum effective range limit.
Fixed lighting issues in the sewer.
Fixed dialogue display issues after “Revelations.”
TSU Scope can now be mounted on the Wintar BK.
General localization fixes and improvements across menus, quests, and tooltips.
As always, your feedback helps shape ZERO Sievert. Keep sharing your thoughts, builds, and stories with us — and we’ll see you in the Zone.
– The ZERO Sievert Dev Team
This update expands your arsenal like never before. The Armoury Update introduces five brand-new weapons, a deadly new ammunition type, and a host of quality-of-life features designed to make every raid smoother and deadlier. We’ve also made tweaks to NPC behaviour, recoil, and world systems to ensure firefights feel sharper and more immersive.
The Zone just got a whole lot louder. Five fresh firearms join the fight, each bringing unique firepower and tactical depth:
A semi-automatic shotgun with blistering stopping power. Devastating at close range and perfect for clearing corridors, the Paiga-12 offers serious crowd-control with every trigger pull.
This modular rifle combines precision and flexibility. Chambered in 5.56mm, it’s designed for mid-to-long-range engagements, offering versatility in raids where reliability is key. Alternatively, run the more compact 9x19mm version! This SMG-calibre rifle trades stopping power for controllability and ammo efficiency, a great choice for fast-paced, close-quarters encounters.
Built for speed and mobility, the NP9 is a lightweight SMG perfect for aggressive pushes or as a trusty backup when things get tight. Or give the heavier-hitting cousin of the NP9, chambered in .45 ACP a go instead! It sacrifices some fire rate for raw damage per shot, rewarding steady aim with brutal stopping power.
A new round designed to shred through armour. When regular buckshot won’t cut it, AP Buckshot ensures no target feels safe behind protection.
Fire Mode Icon: A new HUD icon makes it clear which fire mode you’ve selected — no more guessing in the heat of combat.
Quick Attachment Handling: Attach or detach scopes, silencers, magazines, lasers/torches, and foregrips directly without opening the modding menu (only when the weapon is not equipped). You can do this anywhere! So both in the bunker and when out on a raid, so keep an eye on enemy attachments, because now they're up for grabs!
Inventory & PDA:
New option to auto-close Inventory when hit.
New option to auto-close PDA when hit.
Storage Base: Renamed single-use storage base for clarity.
Recoil Adjustments: All SMGs now have reduced recoil, making them more stable in firefights.
Healing Confirmation: Setting added to remove confirmation before healing from Doctor.
NPCs will no longer shoot at you from outside the visible screen.
High-tier NPCs wielding automatic rifles now fire closer to their weapon’s true rate of fire, making them deadlier and more realistic opponents.
Slightly increased the chance of Emissions occurring in the Zone.
Until October 6th, ZERO Sievert is 30% off as part of the Steam Autumn Sale. If you’ve been waiting to gear up your friends and bring them into the Zone, now’s the time.
A few issues slipped through the cracks in this build, but we’re working to resolve them in a future update:
Attachment list may persist when ALT-TABBING in and out of the game.
Incorrect capitalisation can appear when using storage icons.
Stash page names may not update correctly.
Inventory highlights sometimes display incorrectly.
Unable to mod loadouts #2 or #6.
In rare cases, the game may fail to launch and get stuck on the loading bar.
As always, your feedback is essential in shaping ZERO Sievert. Keep sharing your thoughts, builds, and raid stories with us.
See you in the Zone... – The ZERO Sievert Dev Team

This update is packed with game-changing upgrades that will level up your entire experience. From smoother menus to smarter systems, we’ve supercharged everything to make your journey more intuitive immersive and downright fun. Let’s jump into the highlights.
Added new Difficulty Setting flow with a redesigned selection process
Difficulty Preset selection updated so that selecting any difficulty other than "Custom” now proceeds directly to the next page. And selecting “Custom” opens the existing Difficulty Modifier screen with new preset buttons
Preset buttons now highlight in golden yellow to indicate selection, replacing the previous pip system
Current menu selection for difficulty is visually emphasized with a highlight
Improved visual clarity and interactivity for UI value sliders (e.g. volume mix)
Equipment loadouts can now be named for better customization and reference
Removed news feed elements when full-screen menus are open to reduce clutter
Sprint toggle is now ON by default for all players
Bar is selected by default when opening the Sleep Menu
Players can now drag the sleep duration bar and press the (A) button to sleep for the chosen amount (If only getting your 8 hours was this easy in real life!)
Controller users now see a clear button badge labelled “(A) Sleep”
Trade category buttons now feature a golden yellow icon to indicate the active selection
“Tooltip” renamed to “Item Info” for clarity
Item Info behaviour for right-hand side items in the trade menu now matches the left side—hold the Item Info button to display details (gamepad-friendly)
Removed all decimal points when displaying values for buying or selling services
Quest button now opens by default when accessing the PDA (swapped position with the Map button for easier navigation)
Quest label formatting updated from “Quest Giver: NAMEHERE” to “Giver: NAMEHERE”
Introduced a grid system for the map to reflect explored areas more clearly (development note: "Luca problem")
Selecting a map now instantly loads that map, removing the need for a separate “Go” button
Map buttons now display the name of the location directly on or near the button
Flavour text is displayed for the currently highlighted map to give more context and immersion
That’s the rundown Hunters. Every tweak every fix every new feature in 1.2.1 was made to sharpen your edge out there. Whether you're bartering in the dust, creeping through the dark or catching a few hours of rest under a broken sky, these updates are built to keep you one step ahead in the Zone.
Stay sharp, watch your corners and don’t let your guard down.
