//misc changes - Achievement - Community Busters Unite: When opening the Leaderboard from the Meta Screen it will now trigger the achievement if you have a score (in case it failed to trigger normally). - Brainals and their shielded Xenos now create electric spark effects (so it's easier to see they are linked together). - Ambient sounds have been added when your cursor is close to the anomalies in sectors 1-5.

Welcome back Xenobusters. Originally this was just going to be a quick patch but had a few neat meta gameplay ideas to help mix up those runs. Also I had to make sure there was 67 achievements... :] 18 new meta unlocks... - Brainal Xenoforms: Adds a new rare Xenoform called the Brainal who psychically shields nearby Xenos from harm. - Beacon Room: Adds a new Hackable room which when hacked makes all current Convicts a Priority Convict and all Xenos a Bounty Xenos. - Convict Compensation: Points from escaping Convicts are doubled until a certain amount of Convicts have been Abducted. - Golden Ticket: Can be used to fully Level Up a chosen unlocked Action or Gadget. - Extra Extra Left Action: You can now assign a third Action to the Left Button. - Gadget Pocketeer: Adds another Gadget slot. - Pong Bansheeed: Your sector Pong Balls can now even bust Banshees. - Pong Manoeuvrer: You can steer your sector Pong Balls. Other new stuff... - The different sectors now have their own colours (so the sectors have more of their own flavour). - 8 new Rewards/Achievements: Fully Actioned, Power Hackathon, Beacon Hackathon, VIP Spotter, Gigald Spotter, Braaains Spotter, Braaains Butcherer, Pong Enjoyer. - 2 new Actions: Beacon Repair, Braaains Lure. - 2 new Gadgets: Beacon Dominance, Brainified Xenoforms. - 1 new Log: Specimen Brainal Xenoforms. Misc changes... - Escape Menu: When playing a research run there's now an option to quickly start a new run. - Escape Menu: When opened repetitive sound loops will now mute themselves (eg Banshee, TV Anomaly, etc). - Settings - Fullscreen: This has had some changes under the hood (to improve compatibility). - Meta Screen: The top HUD elements have been rearranged (so there's less mouse work needed when changing tabs). - Meta - Pongiphilia: The sector pong ball will now bounce off enemies when busting them (instead of just passing through). - Meta - Pong Bump: The extra speed is now also given when the ball busts a Xenos. - Meta - Priority Lift: The chance for the Convict to become a Priority Convict has been increased to 67% (from 25%). - Meta - Anomalous Specialise: These now have their own chance of giving Special Points (instead of it replacing the regular Research Point gain). - Reward - Marine Frag Party: This now gives Special Meta Points (instead of normal points). - Action - Pongmaxxer: The health of the balls have been increased (so can bust more). - Action - Flare Drop: This now drops a flare near to the cursor (instead of in a random position). - Sector 2 - Special Xenos: Killing it by using the Static Bomb or Battery Room will now also instantly kill its offspring. - Sector 5 - Anomaly Apple: It now can't be destroyed (eg by Marines). Bug fixes... - Meta Screen: The Confirm button tip wasn't showing when hovering over the unread message box. - Meta - Meta Perusal: You could move the Meta Screen using the right mouse button even if you didn't have this meta unlocked. - Meta - Fractal Banks: They could give too many Meta Points. - Meta - Anomalous Research: Some of them were using Special Points to buy (instead of Research Points). - Gadget - Convict Stim / Xenos Guts: It was wrongly having a 10% effect (instead of 5%). - Gadget - Bodged Repair: The hackable rooms weren't renewing correctly. - Apple - Anomaly_08: It was showing even if the cursor wasn't near the TV. - Fixed a few typos. //bug fixes - Randomiser Mode: The Meta Perusal meta had a chance to start offscreen. - Randomiser Mode: The Mimic special xenos could lure convicts through walls. - Pressing Alt+Enter to switch between Fullscreen and Windowed wasn't working correctly.

//bug fixes - Randomiser Mode: The Clone anomaly could cause a crash if the special Flower xenos were spawning. - Sector 2: If a prisoner was captured by the train anomaly then it would cause a crash. - Sector 2: The Apple train could capture prisoners. - Sector 2: If a prisoner was freed from a Xenos that was over a train track junction then the prisoner could move along the track. - Level Room - Prisoner Lift: Using a Repair action on it wasn't re-sealing its bottom doorway.

//Randomiser Mode run changes - These runs now have their own Speedrun leaderboards (previously they used the normal leaderboards). - Actions/Gadgets can now be unlocked in any order (previously they used the normal unlock process which scales so later ones couldn't be unlocked early). - The position of important meta in the meta tree is now randomised though remains a somewhat similar distance from the middle of the tree (previously they remained in the same default position). - Some of the more basic Meta gameplay elements have been added to the important meta list (such as special rooms and early Energy boosts so the early game isn't as uneventful). - Meta Screen: The Sector will now say "(R)" before it (to signify it from normal mode). //misc changes - New Game - Fresh Wipe: This option is now locked until you have started a run before (was a bit confusing if you haven't played before). - Meta Screen - Actions Tab: When adding Actions to the Left Button it now starts from the left (instead of the right so is more consistent). - Meta Screen - Apple Tab: You now need to have all meta unlocks to begin the true ending (was a bit weird getting it before the regular ending). - Meta Screen - Pong Tab: It now has an icon next to the meta if it can be upgraded (so it's a bit clearer that's where it's done). - Meta Screen - Meta that has been turned off will now say "(deactivated)" next to its title (so it's clearer). - Meta - Rewards Tabular: It now costs 1 Point (instead of 3 so you can pretty much always get it after the first run). - Action - Freeze Rays: Frozen xenos now cannot capture prisoners (if they were already captured then they will now be freed). They will now always die in one hit (eg from Marine bullets). - Action - Fortuity Destiny: This will now say the name of the random action triggered (so at least you have some idea). //bug fixes - Achievement - Community Busters Unite: This was triggering even when you didn't have the High Score Challenge meta. - New Game: It was resetting the Fresh Wipe setting each time you booted up the game. - Starting the game using the Fullscaling option wasn't setting the scaling correctly. - Randomiser Mode: Some special xenos may not give meta points if they showed in a sector sooner than the default. - Meta Screen: The "next sector is available" message wasn't showing if you already had its Signal log message from a previous run. - Meta Screen: The Speedrun record popup wasn't removing itself when viewing a message. - Meta Screen: Scrolling the meta tree by using the right mouse button could make the icons look scuffed. - Meta Screen: When hovering over a Tab button it was using the highlight colour when you were already viewing the Tab. - Meta - Tasty Apple: Turning it off then on was a bit scuffed. - Action - Freeze Rays: Some special xenos were not showing the blue flash or fully stopping movement. - Xenos - Banshee: The Energy reduction when touched could show as a decimal number.

The Soundtrack DLC now sounds more like a proper soundtrack (the track length has doubled, they now fade out at the end, and the mp3 quality improved). //misc changes - When hovering the cursor over a Xeno the charging animation now shows an internal expanding sprite (to better show it's charging). - Meta Tree - Mouse: You can now scroll the Meta Tree by holding the right mouse button. - Meta Tree - Gamepad: You can now use the shoulder buttons to cycle through the Tabs. - Sector 6: Some of the edge corridors have been removed and some corridors now start blocked with rubble which the Special Xenos can dig through destroying it. - Sector 7: The edge rooms now also contain decorative droids and all of the wall lights now flash. - Sector 8: The Special Xenos can now also shoot at Marines. //bug fixes - Sector 5 - Special Xeno: The large bubbles were finding it hard to capture and hit Convicts. - Sector 5 - Marines: They were instantly dying when touched by an active buzzsaw. - Sector 6 - Special Xeno: When exiting the screen the end of its tail could be seen being destroyed. - Sector 6 - Special Xeno: Its tail wasn't being affected by the 'Freeze Rays' Action. - Action - Growth Spurt: Xenos weren't passing on their Gold/Giga status to their duplicated. - Special Vine Xenos: In a Randomiser sector the vines were showing over the darkness.

The Options menu now has a Gamepad section which has several settings... - Stick Deadzone: Adjusts the deadzone threshold for the analogue stick (useful for if you have stick-drift). - Move Speed: Adjusts the base movement speed of the cursor. - Left Trigger Speed: Adjusts the cursor speed modifier when holding the Left Trigger/Shoulder. - Right Trigger Speed: Adjusts the cursor speed modifier when holding the Right Trigger/Shoulder. //misc changes - Meta Tree: Some of the top-left and bottom-left Meta Perk positions have been swapped around so they are grouped with similar types. - Log - Xenosensory Initiation: The wording has been tweaked so it's clearer you just need to hover the cursor over Xenos to automatically bust them (ie no clicking needed). - You can now also press the Space Bar to open/close the Options menu. - The different game Grind levels now have their own separate Speedrun leaderboards. - Pong Apple: The hint now shows as "67>=" (instead of just "67" so you don't think it requires the exact number) - The position of the High Score and Speedrun buttons have swapped places (since you're more likely to look at the High Score one). - Action - Prioritised Convict: This now also affects Convict Lifts. //bug fixes - Achievements - Promotion Meeting / Director Meeting: If these didn't trigger at the intended count then you would need start a new game to try again. - Starting a new game wasn't resetting the Meta Tree scroll position. - The Giga Xeno could cause a crash if its captive was killed. - Sector 3 - Anomaly: Spawned clones weren't using their parent's Gold/Priority/Giga status. - The Options menu title was incorrectly called "Settings". - Apple End scene: There was a rare chance of a crash.

//new stuff - 2 Meta Perks have been added called High Score Challange and Speedrun Challenge. These add online leaderboards so you compete on who has the biggest and fastest busting skills. There's a Log message for each explaining their mechanics and also an achievement for submitting a score/time. - An extra Gadget Pocketeer perk has been added to the Meta Tree (so have you have an extra Gadget slot to play with). //misc changes - Added a noshing sound when you find an Apple. - Action - Exterminatus: This will now also bust Banshees. - Action - Growth Spurt: This now has a 67% chance of duplicating the Xeno (instead of 100%). - Action - Leech Life: This now only works when you use your Xenosensor to bust (instead of all busting). - Sector 6 - Anomaly Apple: It now slightly sways (to get your attention). - Sector 7 - Anomaly Apple: It's Health has been increased (so is more difficult for Marines to destroy it). - Sector 7: They now have some decorative drone rooms. - Banshee: If busted it will now show the Meta Points earnt above them (like regular xenos). - Unlocking a Tasty Apple Perk then exiting and re-entering the Meta Tree would give you its Apples (without completing the treasure hunt). //bug fixes - Apple Ending: When changing to the Title Screen it was still playing some looping sounds. - Apple Ending: If you had the Pong Tab open just before entering this scene then the Pong objects would still show. - Meta Tree: The bottom right Apple wasn't showing its description correctly. - Action - Primus Convicts: Its percentage description was wrong. - Sector 2 - Special Xeno: If the big guy was busted then the little guys weren't using the same Gold variant status. - Sector 4 - Anomaly: It wasn't hasting any dudes. - Sector 5 - Special Xeno: Their collision mask wasn't fully extending to their bubble edge.

//new stuff - 2 Rewards/Achievements have been added: Gigald Slayer, VIP Chauffeur. - A new meta called Giga Xenoforms has been added which adds a chance for regular Xenos to spawn as a more dangerous version which give more Points. There's also a Log message for them if you bust one. - 3 Apples have been added, one each for the Action/Gadget/Pong Tabs. - 3 Gadgets have been added: Nullify Banshees, Primus Convicts, and Gigafied Xenoforms. //misc changes - The 2 Meta Tree Apples are now more of a treasure hunt to unlock them (instead of just buying them). - The end of the special ending will now loop back to the Title screen (instead of closing the game) and the Title screen will change. - Action - Freeze Rays: Moving your Xenosensor over frozen Xenos will now instantly bust them without using any Energy. //bug fixes - Sector 1 Anomaly: It was unlocking the wrong Apple. - When reading a Signal message it could still show the green Know text even if you have the Signal Apple.

//new stuff - When starting a New Game there's now a Fresh Wipe option that also removes all unlocked Log Messages and Apples (by default they carry over into new games). - A Meta Perk called Priority Convicts has been added which adds a chance Convicts become special Priority Convicts which boosts their Meta Points by +100% and gives them a flash so you know which are special. - 3 other Meta Perks have also been added related to the Priority Convicts: Priority Lift/Stims//Blades. - An Action called Prioritised Convicts has been added which has a chance of making Convicts a Priority. - 2 Apples have been added, one each for the Sector 1 and 5 Anomalies. //misc changes - Meta Perk - Fractal Surge: This now starts you with an extra 0-2 Damage (instead of 0-1) and now also gives 0-2 Random Meta Points per run. - Meta Perk - I See Dead Meta: You can now turn this off. - Sector 1 Anomaly: It can now sometimes teleport your Cursor if you get too close to it. //bug fixes - Escape Menu - Audio: The selector wasn't in the middle of the options. - Unlocking the 'A.I. Pong Miner' Meta Perk wasn't unlocking the 'A.I. Pong Miner Initiation' message. - Some of the Special Room related Achievements wouldn't trigger if you somehow already had the Reward. - Fixed some typos.

//new stuff - 2 Rewards/Achievements have been added: Ball Buster, Banshee Busted. - An Apple has been added for the Sector 4 Anomaly. - A Meta Perk called Convict Shivs has been added which adds a chance abducted Convicts will instead bust free. - An Action called Banshee Buster has been added which busts all active Banshess giving random Meta Points. - A Log message has been added that explains the Pong Miner mechanics. - Sector 4: It now contains decorative morgue rooms and the Anomaly rooms now have writhing body bags. //misc changes - Escape Menu - Video: When the Glitch Effects are off the Signal Message and Sector 8 Anomaly now have reduced visual effects. - Escape Menu - Video: The CRT Screen and Glitch Effects option names have changed. - Meta Perk - Radio Tunes: It now unlocks a button at the top where you can change the music (so you don't have to hunt for its icon). - Xenos: When chasing Convicts their chase speed has been slightly increased based on the Sector number (as they struggle to reach Convicts late game). - Banshee: Its spawn location now can't be very close to your cursor. - Banshee: It now creates a sound effect when it first spawns. //bug fixes - When playing a randomised level backing out of it via the Escape menu could give you fractional Meta Points. - Escape Menu - Video: The Steam Deck resolution was overlaying the left text. - Rewards Tab - Convict Massacre: It was giving Research Points as a reward (instead of Convict Points). - Meta Perk - _tasty_apple_: Playing an earlier version of the game could have this perk active but not give the Apple unlock. - Meta Perk - Convict Stims: During runs they could stay partially transparent if they were too fast coming out of the entrance. - Sector 4 - The Anomaly rooms could spawn in the same position as other special rooms.

//new stuff - A Banshee xeno has been added who show up if you spend a long time in a sector. Busting them uses up 25% of your Energy so you'll want to avoid them. There's also a Log Message which you unlock when busting them. - Added 2 new Apples: Stat and Anomaly_7. //misc changes - Sector 8 - Anomaly: The screen effect is now more transparent (so less epilepsy inducing). - Data Drones: They no longer emit a light after they've been hacked. - Action - Exterminatus: This now also destroys Hackable rooms and Data Drones. //bug fixes - Rewards - Fresh Apple: The reward would only trigger once you got an Apple after starting a new game. - Action - Deputise Cadet: It could trigger on a Lift Convict instead of a regular Convict. - Action - Parasites: Duplicating a Bubble Xeno while it was abducting a Convict could cause a crash. - Action - Exterminatus: The explosions could cause a crash if colliding with an active Data Drone. - Gadget - Electro Strikes: When combined with the Critical Stacks meta it could create a hell of a lot lightning late-game.

//new stuff - A new perk called Pong Homer has been added which makes the sector pong ball home into xenos for a while. - A new perk called Pong Bumper has been added which temporarily boosts the speed of the ball when the Xenosensor collides with it. - A new perk called Pong Speedster has been added which boosts the speed of the Sector Pong Ball based on how many points you've spent in the Pong Tab. - A new Action has been added called Multiponger which spawns a Sector Pong Ball. //misc changes - The Apple Tree and Signal Messages now have a small delay when you can close them (in case you happened to be spamming the button (easily done for level Anomaly Apples)). - Apple Tree: The "signal" hint has been changed to "log_signal". - Meta Perk - Pongiphilia: When colliding with the Xenosensor the direction the ball moves in is now the same direction the cursor was moving (makes it much easier to target). - Action - Fortuity Destiny: The random Action it triggers must now be unlocked. - Sector 2 - Special Xenos: The smaller spawns will now always use the same Gold status as its parent. //bug fixes - Meta Tree - Data Drone: Data Drones weren't spawning unless you had the Data Bonanza gadget equipped. - Sector 2 - Special Xenos: The smaller version could attack convicts that were being abducted. - Colonial Marines: They could struggle to find a Xenos target if they were in front of walls. - Colonial Marines: Their targeting would favour shooting at Xenos in certain directions (they now shoot at the closest). - Fixed a few typos.

//meta tree changes - A new perk called Pongiphilia has been added (which creates a sector Pong ball that busts Xenos). - A new perk called Critical Stacks has been added (which can stack Critical Hits (nice for crit builds)). - A new meta called I See Dead Meta has been added (which lets you turn off meta perks for some reason). - Fractal Banks: This now also gives 0-2 random Meta Points (was a bit naff before). - The various Pong related perks are now grouped together (instead of being scattered around). - The various Marine related perks are now grouped together (instead of being scattered around). //misc changes - Sector 2 - Apple: The speed of the train has been reduced by 25% (so easier to hit when using a gamepad). - Gadget - Null Anomolous: This will now give the usual meta related Anomaly bonuses (even if the Anomaly doesn't show). - Gadget - Null Specimens: This will now give Special Meta points for each Special Xeno that doesn't spawn (so at least you get something). //bug fixes - Gamepad: The D-Pad was moving the cursor (instead of scrolling the Meta Tree). - Meta Tree: Opening one of the top-right Hidden Caches would also open another nearby Cache. - Action Tab: It wasn't showing the right-button control tip. - Randomiser Mode - TV Anomaly: Its screen was showing below the darkness overlay. - Action - Growth Spurt: This was also affecting Special Xenos. - Action - Battery/Vault/Lift Repair: It wasn't spawning the new special room in the correct place. - The darkness overlay shown in the middle of closed rooms were not showing over some objects (eg Data Drones). - Special Suicide Drone Xeno wasn't creating a light aura when they explode. - Fixed a few typos (eg spelt the name of the game wrong in the first intro message lol).
