Hello everyone! In this hotfix, we’ve added an auto-save feature to reduce progress loss caused by unexpected situations.
Previously, the game was saved primarily at key moments, such as:
Sleeping until the next day
Teleporting
Player death
Entering or leaving areas with a fade-to-black transition (e.g., temples or NPC rooms)
Normal game exits (as long as the game is given time to complete its saving process)
In multiplayer, world data is saved by the host. If the host doesn't trigger these key moments for an extended period, the world remains unsaved. If a crash or unexpected disconnect occurs, this can lead to significant progress rollback.
The new auto-save feature adds an extra layer of protection on top of the existing key-moment save system. When enabled, the game will periodically save at your designated interval, helping lower the risk of losing progress during longer play sessions. You can set the auto-save interval in the Game Settings (ranging from 30 seconds to 30 minutes). Please select an interval based on your PC performance and play style. Selecting "Key Events Only" will maintain the original save behavior.
Fixed an issue where controller users could not select items on the second page of the right-side scroll list in the Learn Talents panel.
Adjusted the repair UI to remain open after a successful repair, making it easier to repair multiple pieces of equipment.
Added extra explanation and hint dialogue for the "Cave Watcher Clue" quest.
Many players mentioned that the second observer in the "Cave Watcher Clue" quest was tricky to find, so we’ve added some text hints to help guide you. While this might not be the absolute ideal solution, we hope it brings some immediate relief to everyone in the short term.
We’ve also been carefully gathering feedback from reviews, community posts, and player groups regarding game design, user experience, performance, bugs, and other issues.
While we may not be able to reply to every message individually, please know we are tracking and discussing all of them. Over the next few days, we will continue prioritizing stability, compatibility, save functionality, and multiplayer issues to ensure everyone can enjoy the game smoothly.
As always, we’d love to keep hearing your thoughts on game design and player experience. Whether it's suggestions, praise, or constructive criticism, it all helps us grow. A sandbox game develops together with its community, and we will keep working hard to improve Wonderia based on your feedback!
If you encounter any other issues or have suggestions for the game, please join us on Wonderia Discord.
Thank you again for your feedback, patience, and support! 🪐🫶
Hello everyone! Thank you so much for your recent feedback and support.
To address the major issue regarding controllers being unresponsive, we have released an emergency fix in this update to improve your gaming experience!
Here are the detailed patch notes for this Hotfix:
Key Fix: Controller Experience
Fixed an issue where the D-pad was completely unresponsive on certain Xbox and Sony (PS) controllers (So sorry for the trouble caused to controller players!).
Combat & Quest Fixes
Fixed an issue where the "Big Blackbird" in the Passage had abnormal attack behavior.
Fixed an issue where the host/presenter dialogue in the Anomalous Passageway was unresponsive.
Level & Mechanism Adjustments
Added a reset switch for the Forest Box-Pushing Puzzle: We noticed that players could potentially get stuck in a unwinnable state in this puzzle, so we added a reset switch to this section.
Special Note: Following the same reset logic as the previous version, this reset switch is currently only visible to players who have not yet entered the Temple. For veteran players who have already explored the Temple, the level refresh mechanism is still under active development. If you are currently stuck, we kindly ask for your patience!
Optimized Crab House Dismounting Logic: Adjusted the detection logic when dismounting the Giant Crab to prevent characters from falling into water or getting stuck in walls.
Stability Improvements
Attempted a fix for an issue where pressing the pause key during profile avatar generation failure could cause the game to freeze.
We are continuously gathering and investigating other issues reported by the community. Thank you all again for your understanding, patience, and support!

v0.5.8.2140 Additional Fix:
Fixed an issue in multiplayer mode where taking damage from a Rock Monster could cause client crashes and lead to lost death backpacks.
(Original Patch Notes below)
Hello, everyone! This Hotfix adds a crafting recipe for Bandages and addresses several community-reported issues involving multiplayer loading, damaged save data, freezes while paused, and character collision.
We noticed that after progressing through part of the early game but before meeting the pharmacist and obtaining the Potion Workstation, players can go through a period without a sustainable source of instant-healing items.
To make this stage of the game smoother, we have added a crafting recipe for Bandages. Bandages can now be crafted at the Crafting Table using Cranberries and Fiber.
Bandages provide a relatively modest amount of healing, and obtaining their materials still requires some farming and preparation during the early game. We want them to fill a gap in basic healing without replacing supplies found through exploration, the pharmacist, or the later potion-crafting system too early.
This is an experimental adjustment, and we will continue monitoring its effect on early-game pacing and the game’s other progression loops.
Fixed an issue where bait could still be consumed after an empty cast. If your cast does not land on a fish shadow and you pull up another item instead, your insect bait will no longer be consumed.
Fixed an issue where map-loading progress could become stuck at 100% when joining a multiplayer world.
Fixed an issue where force-closing the game could occasionally damage minimap data and prevent the affected save from being loaded again.
Improved exception handling for save and minimap data. If critical data fails to load, the game will stop loading and saving to prevent incomplete data from overwriting the existing save.
Attempted to fix a freeze that could occur while the game was paused or while generating a character-avatar screenshot. If you previously encountered a blank avatar followed by a crash while the game was paused, please update to this version and try again. We will continue monitoring the results of this fix.
Fixed a severe performance issue that could occur when the TV character appeared in the desert due to an abnormally large target-detection range.
Fixed an issue where repeatedly switching held items while two active-skill accessories were equipped could cause one of them to stop working—for example, after using a shield and the Wood Flyer together for a while.
Fixed an issue where items placed in the trash slot were not included when calculating carried weight.
Fixed an issue where trapped characters were not properly released after a web trap was disabled.
Fixed an issue where a character’s collision bounds could enter walls when transforming or quickly mounting a vehicle.
Fixed an issue where some off-hand items could stop working when two off-hand items were equipped at the same time.
Fixed incorrect source information for the Desert King Coin by removing an invalid crafting recipe and Workstation association. We have also received feedback that this coin is difficult to obtain sustainably. For this update, we are first removing the incorrect information to avoid misleading players while we investigate a more appropriate renewable source.
Reduced the volume of furnaces and spike traps, and added a compressor to the audio mixer to improve peak-volume control when multiple sound effects overlap. We will continue improving the game’s volume controls in future updates.
We have identified the cause of the D-pad not working on some controllers and have implemented a fix in our internal build. However, the fix is still being tested and unfortunately could not be included in today’s update.
We will continue testing it across different controllers and aim to include it in the next Hotfix. If you encounter any other issues or have suggestions for the game, please join us on Discord:
Thank you again for your feedback, patience, and support! 🪐🫶
Hello, everyone! This Hotfix includes the following updates:
Fixed an issue in multiplayer where planted Tree Monsters could send duplicate network events after finishing their growth, potentially causing state errors.
Fixed an issue where Water Wheels could fail to be placed in multiplayer.
Fixed player-name placeholders that remained in some localized lines of Saru’s dialogue.
Refined a section of the cave challenge “No Holiday for Archers” by adding a reset option to a pushable-block sequence where players could easily become stuck.
Reduced the recovery rate of bathtubs and increased their carry weight.
Please note: Players who have already played “No Holiday for Archers” are currently still unable to reset the challenge. We are discussing ways to let players replay or refresh previously explored challenges, and we will share more information once we have a plan.
In our previous Patch, we reduced Food consumption while the player is not moving, which has already eased the overall pressure from Food.
We later found that, during the mid-to-late game, players could carry a bathtub while traveling and use it to recover Food, reliably bypassing the need for food supplies. This had effectively become an overly reliable, low-cost “cheese” strategy. We still want farming, cooking, and food to have a meaningful role during the mid-to-late game. At the same time, we do not want to force players to spend excessive time grinding for food. Beyond their numerical value, food and cooking also contribute to collection, decoration, and the feeling of everyday life in the game. For this update, we have reduced the recovery rate of bathtubs and increased their weight, adding an appropriate time and carrying cost to this strategy. We will continue monitoring the experience and may explore more natural and interesting solutions in the future.
We are currently investigating several known issues:
The D-pad may not work correctly on some Xbox controllers.
In multiplayer, the backpack dropped on death may occasionally disappear.
We have also received the other issues reported by the community and are continuing to organize and investigate them. Since the game has only just launched, we may not always be able to respond immediately, but please know that we are reading your messages carefully.

In this update, we’ve focused on several areas that have received a lot of community feedback, including survival pacing, base production, multiplayer rewards, and display compatibility.
Food no longer drains passively over time. We hope this reduces the food pressure during long expeditions, building, and inventory management.
The repair material cost multiplier has been reduced from 50% to 35%, lowering the amount of materials required to maintain equipment.
Reduced the crafting costs of swords:
Copper Sword: Copper Ingots reduced from 15 to 12.
Tin Sword: Tin Ingots reduced from 20 to 16, and Bones reduced from 20 to 12.
Hematite Sword: Flame Cores reduced from 20 to 16.
Adjusted the durability of metal tools and weapons:
Tin Sword, Tin Axe, Tin Bow, Tin Hoe, and Tin Shovel durability increased to 300.
Hematite Sword, Hematite Axe, Red Iron Bow, Hematite Hoe, and Hematite Shovel durability increased to 400. Hematite Pickaxe durability increased to 450.
Copper Pickaxe durability increased to 200. Copper Hoe and Copper Shovel durability adjusted to 175.
Adjusted the prices of recovery items sold by Rohen:
Each Bandage purchase now provides 5 Bandages. The total price has been reduced from 600 to 500, lowering the price per Bandage from 200 to 100.
Each Compressed Biscuit purchase now provides 5 Biscuits. The total price remains 1,000, lowering the price per Biscuit from 1,000 to 200.
Workstations can now connect to storage boxes from one tile farther away. We’ve expanded the range from which Workstations automatically pull crafting materials by one tile in every direction and fixed the size and appearance of the range indicator. We hope this gives everyone more flexibility when laying out and managing their bases.
When donating items in multiplayer, non-host players now receive 100% of the Skill Points, up from 50%. All players in a multiplayer session will now receive the same full donation rewards.
Based on your feedback, we’ve optimized the default graphics and display settings for different hardware configurations:
The game now automatically selects a graphics quality preset based on available graphics memory. Devices with 2 GB of graphics memory or less will use Medium quality, while other devices will use Ultra quality.
Low-VRAM devices will now default to Full Screen (Windowed). Existing exclusive fullscreen settings on these devices will also be migrated automatically to improve display compatibility.
VSync is now enabled by default on PC, with a target frame rate of 60 FPS for more stable visuals.
These changes are intended to address two issues:
Long black screens that may occur when switching display modes.
Stuttering on some netbooks when the default graphics settings are too demanding for their hardware.
We’ll continue monitoring performance across different hardware configurations and make further improvements based on your feedback.
Fixed an issue where the jump animation of the neutral creature Fisheep could become stuck on its final frame.
About story dialogue: You can select your preferred Dialogue Length in the game’s Options menu. A shorter Brief Dialogue mode is also available.
About finding more Copper Ore:We’ve received your feedback that ore can be difficult to find. Metal deposits are primarily found around the outer edges of forests and within cave biomes, so you may need to venture farther from your starting area to gather them. This update has reduced the crafting material requirements for metal equipment, and we’d like everyone to try these balance changes first. We’ll monitor their impact before deciding whether the distribution of mineral resources across the world also needs to be adjusted.
About the Hand Drill: With passive Food drain removed, the Hand Drill has returned to its Demo behavior and can once again continue producing minerals indefinitely while unattended. We understand how convenient this is, but it may also accelerate mineral acquisition significantly and allow players to complete the related progression too early. For this reason, the EA version prevented unattended production while the player was starving. For now, we’ve restored the Demo behavior and will monitor its impact on progression and resource balance before deciding whether further adjustments are needed.
While reviewing your feedback on Food consumption, mineral availability, production efficiency, and multiplayer rewards, we found that players have very different expectations for the game’s pacing. Some prefer a more relaxed experience focused on exploration and building, while others want greater survival pressure and a longer progression curve. The same set of rules can also feel very different in solo and multiplayer games.
A single set of universal balance values cannot fully accommodate all of these playstyles. We’re therefore increasing the development priority of Environment Settings, with the goal of letting players choose a pace that better suits their preferences and the number of people in their world. We’ll work to make this feature available as soon as possible.
If you have any questions or feedback about this update, please let us know on

Thank you for your continued support!!
This update fixes a critical issue that prevented players from creating or joining multiplayer games.
If you encountered this issue, please update the game to v0.5.8.2106 or later. You should then be able to create and join multiplayer games normally.
We sincerely apologize for the impact this had on the launch experience, especially for those who had planned to play with friends. If you still cannot connect after updating, please let us know.
Gameplay Adjustments
Fixed an issue where elements of the time UI could overlap.
Based on player feedback that Food drains too quickly and there aren’t enough ways to recover early on, we’ve made the following adjustments:
Increased the number of Compressed Biscuits and Bandages in the starting chest.
Players joining a multiplayer world will now automatically receive the same number of Compressed Biscuits and Bandages, reducing the increased pressure on starting supplies in multiplayer.
Minor spoiler: There is a hot spring near the starting area that can help replenish your Food. It should also become easier to manage once you harvest your first crops.
We’ll also take this feedback into account when adding customizable world settings, giving players more options to adjust their experience.

🚀Hello, Wanderers!
Just one more day until we can welcome you all to our little planet!
Before launch, we wanted to answer some of the questions we have been hearing most often. We hope this helps!
Q: Where can I play Wonderia?
A: We'll be launching simultaneously on Steam, Steam China, and WeGame.
Q: When exactly does the game launch?
A: Wonderia goes live on July 23 at 2:00 AM UTC. That's July 22 at 7:00 PM PDT / 10:00 PM EDT, or July 23 at 10:00 AM Beijing Time.
Q: How much will it cost?
A: We'll be offering a 10% launch discount for the first week. After the discount, the game will cost RMB 46.80 in mainland China, US $12.59in the United States, and ¥1,620 in Japan.
Q: Is this Early Access or the full release?
A: This is an Early Access launch.
Wonderia is a 1–8 player open-world survival sandbox featuring base building, exploration, combat, puzzle-filled dungeons, and plenty of offbeat humor.
We believe sandbox games with multiplayer features are ultimately shaped by the way their communities play them. Early Access gives us the chance to learn what you enjoy, what you need, and which parts of the game we should focus on next.
For an online co-op sandbox game, it is difficult to put an exact date on every stage of development. Our current estimate is that Wonderia will remain in Early Access for approximately 12–18 months.
Q: How long does a playthrough take in the current Early Access version?
A: In solo play, completing the main story takes around 30 hours, while fully exploring the game takes over 50 hours. We’ll continue adding more content and will share a roadmap with our future plans soon.
Q: What can I do in the current version?
A: Quite a lot! You can play solo or team up online with as many as seven friends.
The game features 3 major biomes, 50+ creatures, 50+ weapons, 200+ pieces of gear, 350+ crafting recipes, 150+ cosmetic items, and more than 30,000 Chinese characters of original story content.
You can explore alien ruins, gather resources, craft items, build a base, and take on dangerous creatures. Or slow down, go fishing, tend your crops, and see what has sprouted today.
We will continue expanding the game with more content in the future. We would also love to hear your thoughts about this planet in the community.
Q: Which languages are supported?
A: Ten in total: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, English, French, German, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Latin American Spanish.
Q: Which operating systems are supported?
A: The game currently supports Windows and macOS.
Q: Where can I meet other players and follow the latest news?
A: Come join us on our official Discord server!
Q: Are mobile and console versions planned?
A: Yes. Additional platforms, including mobile and consoles, are something we would like to explore in the future.
Q: Can I play with a controller?
A: Yes. The game supports most major controllers.
Q: Does the game support Steam Deck?
A: Yes, it does!
That's everything for this pre-launch Q&A. If there is anything else you would like to know, please tell us in the community or on the discussion boards.
❤️If our little planet feels like somewhere you would like to visit, we'd be grateful if you told your friends about Wonderia!
Thank you again for all your kindness and support! 🫶

📡 Wanderer, hello!
On the cooled remains of an Insect civilization, we will rebuild the future. Set out from a battered old RV, venture into the wilds, turn ruins into tools, and build your own outpost.
Wonderia is a 1–8 player co-op survival adventure sandbox. The Next Fest Demo is now live — step out of the RV and bring back a story of your own!
Next Fest Demo Highlights (Approx. 4–6 hours of gameplay)
The complete loop of the first Forest biome: from early survival and base-building to your first Boss encounter
Supports up to 8-player co-op
Multiple combat styles — melee, ranged, and transformation devices — that can substitute and combine with one another
🎨 Manga-Style World: Colossal rounded insect remains are scattered across the planet. Clear them out, wire them up with salvaged circuits, and transform abandoned ruins into modern, comfortable outposts.
⛵️ Your strength depends on how far you travel: In this strange world, the path is free — but the loop is clear: Leave the camp → Explore ruins → Bring back resources → Grow and upgrade. Travel by cars, boats, or rail vehicles, deploy and store them with a single key. Repairable teleport points add strategy and depth to long journeys.
🐦 Cute Creatures vs Strategic Combat: Don’t be fooled by their innocent eyes. Being cute is their talent — turning them into materials is your job. Want that Tree Beast’s trousers? Think like an agent and use every tool at your disposal. Smash them with a Stone Feather Warhammer, or slowly wear them down with rockets — combat isn’t about one “optimal” answer, it’s about your style.
👾 Transformation System: Activate a special “game device” to transform into alien creatures. Use their instincts to fight, sneak, or infiltrate camps. When you return from afar, you might not just be stronger — you might be something else entirely.
📖 A Mysterious Past: The “Stellar” force that transcends time and species… the ever-returning Black Rift… The truth behind the destruction of the Insect civilization awaits discovery. But as a practical wanderer, bringing home whatever can be dismantled — and living well — is also a form of tribute.
☕ Refined Alien Living: Beyond exploration, you can build homes, cook meals, and interact with NPCs — a forgetful guide, a shrewd merchant, a band of artists. When will the Black Rift descend? Who knows. As long as there’s coffee brewing and your gun is still warm, you’re the coolest wanderer around.
Whether this is your first time discovering Wonderia or you’ve played earlier versions, this Demo is more complete and better paced than ever. Your feedback means everything to us:

Hello, Wanderers! This is the dev team of Wonderia! ✨🛰️
On the very last day of 2025, we want to share this update with you as a small New Year’s gift. Thank you for all your warm support, thoughtful feedback, and encouragement along the way! 💛
Discord: https://discord.gg/y3rY4XhpB5
We’ve added two boomerangs to the Forest biome, and you can find them while exploring. Their single-hit damage might not look impressive at first, but if you’d rather keep some distance from enemies, boomerangs can be a very handy alternative. Also worth highlighting: try attacking while moving—because the return flight pierces and damages all obstacles. It can lead to surprisingly strong results.
We’ve significantly increased the drop rate of Arrows in the wild, and moved the Bow into Handcraft. We hope this makes it easier to choose a ranged option early on—so you don’t always have to commit to close-range fights.
We’ve rebalanced loot distribution during exploration:
Smashables (breakables like slime piles), pots, and other roadside objects now feel more like supply stops on your journey
Chests now provide higher-quality rewards, and each chest guarantees at least one distinct “core reward”
With this change, we hope you’ll run into fewer “out of supplies” moments that interrupt your flow—and that even in the mid/late game, clearing out the edges of the map will still come with that satisfying “what’s in this chest?” feeling. We’ll keep iterating on loot balance based on your feedback.
Steam Cloud Saves have now been integrated for the first time. When you read this post, it may still be rolling out gradually—but the feature is ready, and we plan to fully enable it in the coming days.
If you encounter any issues while using it, please let us know—we’ll follow up as quickly as we can!
When using weapons/tools on your hotbar: You can pre-select the next item with number keys or controller shoulder buttons, and once your current attack animation ends, it will switch instantly to your buffered choice. This makes it easier to chain attacks, weave in items, and quickly eat/heal during combat (for example: “fish slap → copper sword → fish slap → copper sword”).
Bug net: failing to catch a bug no longer consumes durability【Arès】
When an item’s durability runs out: a prompt appears and the game tries to auto-switch to the same item in your inventory; if none exists, it switches to empty hands【Zero Tachikoma】
Broken items: their inventory icons are now tinted, making the reason they can’t be used more obvious
Fixed: you could not quickly switch hotbar items after closing the inventory【Zero Tachikoma】
When empty-handed or holding an inventory item, the mouse wheel still cycles the hotbar hand slot (loops from the first/last slot based on scroll direction)【Zero Tachikoma】
While the inventory is open, the mouse wheel can cycle the hotbar hand slot【Zero Tachikoma】
Workbench recipe sorting improved: craftable recipes are shown first; recipes that require an upgrade are clearly marked
When placing chests and workbenches: supply/ingredient range is now visualized
Workbench upgrades are now handled via a “recipe-style” UI and no longer use temporary item storage—upgrades can pull materials directly from nearby chests, and you won’t lose stored items if the workbench is removed
Chest deposit/withdraw now supports Same and All behaviors
Default stack limit increased to 999
Handcraft supports long-press to craft multiple items【Super】
Marvin’s RV item query station: items are automatically returned when closing the UI
Biome transition rule refined: environment changes only trigger continuous tiles
Added arrow recovery: fired arrows can now be picked up and reclaimed
In co-op, when any player chooses “sleep until next day,” a message is posted in chat
If a bed is assigned to a co-op player, their ID is shown at the corresponding spot
Room ID input: removed auto-paste behavior
Improved overall scene lighting and significantly reduced overexposure
Improved train controls and handling (smoother acceleration/deceleration and overall responsiveness)
Finally, thank you again to every player who supports Wonderia. Thank you for trusting us with your time, for sharing patient suggestions, and for leaving your creativity in this world as it continues to grow. In the new year, we’ll keep making this journey more fun, more warm, and more worth traveling together. 💛💛💛
Happy New Year! We’ll keep listening for your signals. See you soon! 👋

🌟 Co-op Skill-Point Sharing from Donations — Recap
Many players told us co-op is a lot of fun, but skill-point progression used to be confusing. So here’s a reminder that we’ve adjusted the rule:
In co-op, whenever anyone makes a donation, the host receives 100% of the skill points;
Every other member receives 50%.
This way, everyone progresses. We know this isn’t a perfect solution yet—we’re still exploring better team distribution. Come discuss your ideas with us in the community!
Removed the restriction that only the host can donate Entomorbs.
Fixed an issue where 1★ Treants failed to spawn in certain forest camps.
Slime Bracelet: increased Dash speed; optimized dash animation duration and facing.
Simple Fryer buffed above the Kitchen Workstation; fixed missing stats for Grilled Fish, Rainbow Fruit Cup, and other dishes. (Thanks to ういんど for the feedback and suggestions!)
Localization: corrected Survival Academy and Fishing Magazine effect descriptions; improved the Japanese description and spelling for Green Slime. (Thanks to ういんど for the help!)
Attempted fix for a case where dropped items in co-op could be duplicated. (Thanks to chcdjcdez&m013 for the thorough repro video.)
Fixed a case where sleeping in Marvin’s RV → going to the map edge → respawning could lose progress. (Thanks to 乐正Noa for promptly providing video and clues right after the Demo went live.)
Fixed an issue where, after placing furniture indoors and re-entering, the Hammer could not edit. (Thanks to 近ガン for the report.)
(Faster dash—how will you weave it into combat?)
ういんど: Found a bug where handcrafted chairs could restore satiety—now fixed. Plus many other helpful notes above!
abcdefg:
Switching items with the scroll wheel while feeding pets could cause item loss;
Placing bridges simultaneously in co-op could cause sync anomalies.
rninja88: Attack stat does not refresh after switching shoe equipment.
(Every minute in the kitchen turns into better-tasting numbers—thanks for your feedback and fixes!)
思羽: Stonefeather Tyrant not displayed after summoning.
タイガ: Possible crash when using the Slime Morpher.
MZero_Devel: When a chest stack reaches the single-slot cap, same items in the backpack cannot auto-transfer.
哇咔咔: Morpher may disappear when switching.
y.: Black lines appear on the map.
As always, thank you to everyone who’s shared videos and save files!💛

Wonderia is an open-world game that blends survival-sandbox adventure, micro-scale interstellar storytelling, and co-op play.
Explore a vast world; farm, build, fight, cook, and adventure online—or just space out by a fountain and study the wreckage left by those who came before.
🪐 In the Demo you’ll find:
Estimated playtime: 4–6 hours
World structure: a large, seamless map combining procedural generation with handcrafted content
Creatures: 10+ types (regional, nocturnal, ranged, neutral, etc.)
Exploration: 40+ handcrafted points of interest in the Forest biome—temples, ruins, mystery huts, story clues, and more
NPCs: 7 interactive characters
Playable systems: combat / building / farming / cooking / puzzle-solving
Online co-op: 1–8 players
✨ v0.4 Demo Highlights
🌍 World Structure Upgrade: A Seamless Open World
We’ve moved away from layered maps to a dynamically streaming, continuous world. In practice, that means:
No more vertical “layers”: traverse distinct biomes in one continuous space—no need to “go underground.”
The world streams in as you approach: faster loads, better performance, and room to scale in the future.
Co-op is fully adapted for the big seamless map—explore side by side.
Each world is unique (seed-based), with many handcrafted discoveries and clues woven in.
🤝 Progress Together in Co-op
When players donate items to earn skill points, everyone online gets rewards:
Host: 100% (the museum display slots belong to the host)
Other players: 50% (you still gain) This is an interim approach—we’ll keep improving the skillbook system. Join our Discord to share ideas.
🔧 Systems & UX Improvements
Food: smoother pacing When Food drops below 50%, Max HP now decreases slowly—clearer warning and flow.
Big storage quality-of-life boosts: Workbenches can pull from diagonally adjacent chests; a single chest can now supply up to 8 workbenches (up from 4). Chest capacity was raised to 40 slots—easier inventory management.
Food effects differentiated: Early foods grant clearer buffs (e.g., higher max satiation, more defense). Crops now take slightly longer to grow for balance.
Merchant Rohen buys gear & outfits: Sell surplus equipment and clothing for a cleaner pack. We’ll expand buyback categories later (currently in testing).
Take home small decorations with ease: Shade flowers, riverside grasses, and other ambience bits can be dug up with a shovel—no more pickaxe-highlight fuss, same freedom to redecorate.
Minimap background transparency: Unexplored areas no longer fill with solid color—map reading feels better.
Interaction highlight update: From white outlines to a ground selection frame—aiming and judging are more intuitive.
Creatures & the hero feel livelier: Blackbirds and the Great Serpent have more ambient behaviors. Fixed dim lighting while carrying a lantern. New idle animations for the player—dozing off, reading, pondering. Big-eyed yellow flowers can be punched bare-handed to trigger a “bounce”—use it to speed up or to aid counters in combat.
📓 More Little Stories in the World
A makeshift camp from the STB-03 pilot now appears near cave edges—possibly pointing toward a new temple.
Several insectoid ruins now grant one-time rewards: attune to the message to gain rare recipes or items.
📡 A Note From Us
We started by making a “multiplayer open-world sandbox,” and somehow stumbled into a seamless world, layered exploration narrative, and co-op play—slowly and clumsily inching toward a kind of “realistic fantasy.” Our question is:
Waking on a strange planet, what would make you stay?
The first golden stalk of rice in the field?
Your very first raspberry cake?
An inscription you can almost understand?
A friend saying, “Teleport to me—now!”
Or that moment when night falls on your return, and NPCs step out of warmly lit homes…
We don’t know the answer yet, but we’d love to search for it with you.
Thank you for visiting us in November 2025—come back anytime, or make this a new home. 🧡
This demo is just the beginning. In development:
New biomes (Caves, Desert)
A more complete skill system and growth paths
Richer food, cooking, and status mechanics
More varied temples and insectoid challenges
More interactive NPCs and short story chains
We’ll share a clearer roadmap in the future. Follow the store page and join Discord for first-hand updates.

Hello, Wanderers! This is the dev team behind Wonderia ✨
For this update, we focused on one thing: Making the world’s background information easier to stumble upon, without interrupting your play.
Instead of long cutscenes or forced exposition, we tried to hide fragments of the past along naturalexploration paths—abandoned insectoid ruins, a missing pilot, missions that never got finished... We’re still figuring out how to enrich the world without getting in your way, but we hope things start to feel a little more alive as you explore. 🌱
If you have any thoughts about this world’s “past” or “future,” we’d love to hear from you in the community! You’ll find many others who are also eager to chat, share feedback, or just laugh about weird bugs.
🧑🚀 Reworked the STB-07 departure ship scene, with added visual and narrative details
🚀 Added a new point of interest: the STB-03 crash site
🌲 Rebuilt the Insectoid Civilization Ruins in the forest biome, with clearer signs of its lost culture
🗿 Adjusted layout of many points of interest, to improve how exploration and combat flow into narrative hints
🏡 Updated main NPC dialogue with more backstory; most translations completed with help from our localization team
🍳 Hunger system: Hunger no longer slows you down—it now reduces your maximum health. The risk remains, but pacing feels smoother.
⛏️ Loot balance: Item drops have been tuned to feel more generous without turning into a grind.
🌱 Farming changes: Crops now grow more slowly, and merchants can now buy excess seeds, helping with mid-game food overflow.
👌 UI improvements: The “drop item into world” button has been moved to the backpack screen for easier access. It’s now simpler to hand items to friends in co-op.
💬 Community-inspired tweaks:
Added more fixed teleport points to reduce unnecessary travel
Craftable gear like Grass Armor and Blackbird gear can now be recycled
Lots of minor optimizations and bug fixes!
The game now supports 11 languages. All content was originally written by our team; except for Thai, all translations were done by our professional localization partners.
Due to some last-minute script changes, you may still encounter machine-translated lines—we’re working to patch those quickly.
We’ve also added a Thai language option. We saw a lot of love from Thai players in earlier Playtests (thank you!), but we must be honest: the current Thai version is fully machine-translated. If you're willing to help us localize the Thai version properly, please reach out at [email protected] — we’d be deeply grateful and will credit all volunteers in-game and in the community!
Thank you for reading this, and for being part of our journey! We know many of you are excited about new biomes, monsters, and content—and we’re working on them in parallel. But this update doesn’t include flashy new areas yet. Instead, we focused on laying the groundwork: helping the world feel clearer, richer, and more connected, without getting in your way.
If you play this version and notice anything—whether good or confusing—we’d love to hear from you.
We’re still on the road, and we hope we’ll hear from you again soon. ✨🚀
