There haven‘t been any updates in the past few days because I’ve been working on optimizing combat and trying to improve the feel of the combat system. This work is not yet finished, but several bugs have piled up from player feedback, so I‘m releasing an update to fix them first. (I’m encountering some difficulties with the bug where the game freezes when searching for furniture inside rooms – it will take a little more time. I‘ll fix it as soon as possible, perhaps in the next update.)
Preliminary adjustments have been made to melee combat actions and judgment logic. Currently, the melee actions have some flaws, and the attack feel hasn’t been greatly improved yet. First-person animations also have matching issues. These will be resolved as soon as possible. At the same time, gun sound effects and performance will also be adjusted and improved.OptimizationAdjusted melee combat. Now, in addition to being able to attack while walking, a heavy attack has been added. Each heavy attack will knock back enemies.
During the wind-up of melee attack animations, the character will automatically face the direction of the crosshair or the target.

Fixed an issue where sorting the backpack would increase the number of items.
Apologies first: It has been four days since release. During these four days, thank you very much for your feedback and suggestions. At the same time, I am sorry that the game is meeting you in this state – bugs, optimization issues, and lack of content have caused a poor gaming experience. Regarding bugs, I am working hard to collect and fix them. Optimization will also be completed in the coming days, and content will be filled in subsequent updates. As a solo developer, I may not be able to cover every aspect of the game, so I look forward to more feedback and suggestions. I will strive to improve the game and optimize the experience. Frequent updates are expected this week. I apologize again if this bothers you. Once performance optimization and bug fixes meet expectations, I will slow down the update frequency (e.g., once a week), focusing mainly on adding new game content. Adjustments Added category tabs in the backpack to filter items by type. Added sort/organize function and a one‑click transfer function to move items to other containers. The pause menu now pauses the game (oops). Bug Fixes Fixed issues related to save file location and old save file loading.
You need to move the original save file from: (drive where Steam is installed):\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\WinterSurvivorProtocol\\WinterSurvivorProtocol\\WinterSurvivor\\Saved\\SaveGames (You can find it by right-clicking the game in your Steam library → Manage → Browse local files) to: C:\\Users\\\\\AppData\\Local\\WinterSurvivor\\Saved\\SaveGames
Again, I apologize. Fixed an issue where skill experience values were not displayed when loading.Adjustments
Addressed unreasonable object placements (e.g., floating vehicles) in the Foghorn Port map.
Train carriages in Foghorn Port can now have certain placeable structures.

Fixed abnormal item drop counts when searching – no more full chests of excessive loot.
Fixed world map markers disappearing after closing the game and becoming misaligned when crossing maps.
Fixed vehicles disappearing after loading a game when crossing maps – they are now properly saved.
Fixed zombies spawned from houses getting stuck inside walls.
Fixed vehicle movement issues after reset – vehicles no longer move erratically after being reset and placed.
