Hello Everyone!
Major update #3 has just gone live!
First of all for everyone who has played before, we really recommend resetting your save file for the best experience with this update!
We really wanted to have players be able to adjust their playstyles a bit somehow, so we decided to add a Gear System. The Gear System will allow you to select from multiple gear pieces after defeating a boss. These give you powerful playstyle specific bonusses. You can equip up to 4 of these in total.
We added a beach level. We had to do some interesting stuff for it this time, adding water tiles with a water effect when monsters are on these tiles. Our art pack also didn't include tiles for a beach so we had to art these up ourselves, including the animated water shoreline. This level also includes a new boss with a new mechanic! It's our favourite so far!
Ghost Hammers are a new type of mechanic which you can get both from upgrades, weapons and gear. You have a chance to hit random enemies with a ghost hammer when attacking. These hammer also copy your on hit effects, so a ghost hammer with a column hammer equiped will also attack in a column for example!
We also took a look at some other things for this update. Improving stuff visually and fixing bugs all over the place. Tldr summary - Level 3B - Deadwater Beach | 4 new enemies and a new boss - Gear System | A Gear system to customise your playthrough - Ghost Hammer Mechanic | Ghost Hammers that have a chance to hit a random target on hit - More Bug fixes and improvements Enjoy the new update! Hello Everyone! After a lot of hard work we are finally done with the big update!
Hey everyone,
Quick update from us.
We’re still hard at work on the Major Demo Update and are aiming to release it next week.
Alongside the previously announced third level and Armory system, we want to show a bit more of what’s coming.
The Lightning Hammer already feels extremely satisfying to play. Visuals are still work in progress and will receive proper pixel-art treatment before release.
We’re also adding additional hammers to allow you to change up your playstyle a bit more.
We’re introducing new upgrade types, including:
Life on Hit
Enemy Spawn on Kill Chance
Electrified enemy chance
The upcoming boss is the first one in the game with actual mechanics. It won’t just stand there and get whacked. We’ll let you discover the details yourselves. That’s all for now. Back to polishing. Brainfog Games
Hello Everyone!
Once again a huge thanks to everyone who picked up the demo! We've been hard at work implementing feedback and making new content!
We wanted to give a more in-depth look at what we’re currently planning for the next major demo update. Nothing here is live yet — this is an early look at what we’re working toward. First of all a new level: Level 3 - The Cursed Grove
The next area will introduce:
5 new enemies
A new boss encounter
Secondly The Armory.
This will be a new system where you can view and upgrade the weapons you have unlocked. We will of course also be adding some new weapons to play with. We’re still receiving lots of useful feedback from players and continue to implement improvements and polish across the demo.
That's all folks! Have an awesome day. Brainfog Games
