Greetings, warriors!
Today we have a major announcement: Veterum is leaving Early Access and launching into full release on September 7, 2026.
We entered Early Access on November 27, 2025. Over these past 9+ months, we have walked an incredible path together with you. We originally chose this format to polish the game to perfection—refining the balance, UI, and mechanics based strictly on your feedback. To be completely honest, we never expected the game to undergo such massive transformations. We are deeply grateful to each and every one of you for standing by us all this time, supporting our vision, and forgiving our early mistakes and bugs.
The biggest gameplay overhaul during Early Access is our intricate city development and mission generation system. Cities now feature a "Prosperity Level" and temporary statuses. The higher the prosperity, the more mercenaries you can hire and the richer the merchants' inventory becomes—though prices will rise accordingly... Prosperity, city statuses, and available missions now form a unified, interconnected system where every element impacts the other. Your actions now directly shape not only how cities view you, but their overall survival and growth.
We have also introduced a unit talent system, random world map events, brand-new missions, special locations, unique units, terrain objects, artifacts, potions, and a vast amount of diverse decor...
Visuals received a ton of care as well: we added settings to adjust brightness, contrast, and saturation, implemented 4 distinct colorblind modes, and introduced multiple new visual effects while upgrading the old ones.
Furthermore, we expanded the game’s localization. Veterum now officially supports English, Russian, Japanese, Spanish, and Ukrainian. Huge thanks to Rokusai Katsushika and Takakidougata Udon for the Japanese translation, and to Akkar72 for the Spanish version! Thank you so much! Additionally, AI-generated translations for Chinese, German, French, and Portuguese (Brazilian) have been added (the Portuguese patch arrives in the next update).
Of course, throughout the entire Early Access period, we stuck to our core promise: constantly tweaking the balance, squashing bugs, and polishing the game to a shine.
Finally, we have integrated full Steam Workshop support. Now you can easily share your custom battle maps, perfectly-balanced unit stats, or custom localizations in your native language with players worldwide.
The full release is coming on September 7th. Version 1.0 will bring the final story missions—the grand conclusion to the journey of Sir Edward, the last Interrogator of the Gatekeepers Order.
Thank you for your endless support, patience, and faith in Veterum!
Best regards, The Crasleen Games Team
