This is just a small patch that addresses two bugs/issues:
When using “Inverted Masks” in your Live2D models while having “Mask Smoothing” active in VTube Studio, this would sometimes lead to random black lines appearing on your models due to an issue in the rendering system. This is now fixed.
VTube Studio was still using old (beta) Twitch event topics for the events sent when Twitch "Power-Ups" are redeemed. This led to longer Twitch login times. This is now fixed.

This update adds support for using the new Twitch Power-ups as Twitch hotkey triggers in VTube Studio.
New feature: Support for Twitch Power-ups
Power-ups are very similar to regular Twitch Channel Point Redeems, just that viewers use Bits to redeem them. So basically, paid redeems.
More info on how to set them up on Twitch: Custom Power-Ups Guide for Creators
In VTube Studio, they can now be used by your viewers to trigger any Hotkeys.

This update adds a few things that didn't quite make it in time for the SFX update.
New feature: Auto-stop hotkey-triggered sound effects when hotkey is deactivated.
When a hotkey plays a sound effect and that hotkey is deactivated, you can now choose to also stop the sound effect.
Only available for the hotkey types:
Expression on/off
Load VFX preset
Load Item-Scene
Also works in VNet collabs.
New feature: New hotkey type for toggling model sound on/off.
You can toggle the volume for your model or a Live2D item between a fixed value and 0.
For more info about how to set up sound effects, check out the SFX manual page.

This update adds a fully dynamic, reactive sound effect system that can play sound effects based on your model movement.
New feature: Sound Effect System
Hotkey Sounds: Play SFX based on hotkey activations.
Parameter Sound Triggers: Dynamically play SFX based on Live2D parameter values.
There's a ton of customization: Volume and pitch control based on parameter movement speed, echo/reverb, playback chance and cooldowns, anti-repeat randomization, spatial audio with stereo panning based on model/item position, and much more.

This update adds ArtMesh/Layer Groups so you can easily modify colors of layers in bulk. It also adds native controller support!!
New feature: ArtMesh/Layer Groups
You can now set up groups of layers and use those groups to batch-modify ArtMesh colors of your model more easily instead of having to color them one by one.
More info: ArtMesh Groups
New feature: Native controller support
VTS can now directly read connected controllers and use controller parameters as tracking inputs for models.
Extended support for DualShock 4 and DualSense (incl. Edge) controllers: VTS can read their orientation/tilt and touchpad touch positions (up to 2 fingers) and use that as tracking input or for gesture recognition to trigger hotkeys.
More info: Controller Input
Bugfix: Fixed issue that prevented some "corrupted" models from being loaded after the last update. These models had duplicated Live2D parameter IDs for some reason, which should not really be possible. These models can now be loaded again, but it is recommended to fix them anyway.
Also comes with a free controller asset by 7M Productions for you to try out and use as reference.

This small patch fixes an issue with the new screenshot system where certain visual effects (like the outline and backlight VFX) would be incorrectly scaled and positioned when using custom screenshot resolutions. The patch also improves how the bloom effect looks when using very high screenshot resolutions. Finally, the patch adds a screenshot button in the Expression Editor. This makes it easier to manually pose your model from there and then take screenshots. If you have any questions, please join our Discord!! Join Discord
There will be multiple updates this week, this is the first one! This update adds an improved implementation of the screenshot system and Expression Editor!
New screenshot system: arbitrary resolution up to 16k x 16k and better semi-transparent color handling.
New Expression Editor: Much faster load times and added functionality. Mostly features useful for customizable models and Live2D assets.
Support for "Parameter Folders": Parameter Groups / Parameter Folders set up in the Live2D Cubism Editor are now shown as collapsible folders in the Expression Editor in VTube Studio.
Parameter customization/localization: Riggers can decide which parameters are shown/hidden by default in the Expression Editor, making customizable models much easier to use. Also, riggers can now provide custom translations for models/assets they sell to make their work more accessible.
Customization Expressions: You can mark an expression as “Customization Expression”. Expressions marked as such will not be turned off when a “Remove all Expressions” hotkey is used.
There is now a warning when users mess with the physics settings of their models.
Bugfix: Fixed issue that incorrectly caused "hotkey key combination already taken" warning to be shown.
Bugfix: Fixed issue that stopped some friends from being displayed in the Steam friends list for VNet.
Verified that VTube Studio is fully functional on Windows Arm64 devices. VTube Studio is supported on Windows On Arm under emulation.

This patch contains various bugfixes and improvements.
Memory-management improvements.
Models should now use significantly less memory when loaded (GPU memory remains unaffected).
Fixed bug in model outline calculation that caused significant lag when:
Twitch Emote Dropper is active.
Plugins were used that access the model outline (like T.I.T.S, etc.)
Multiple small performance improvements.
Added warning when old NVIDIA tracker (v1) was used on newer NVIDIA GPUs (this is unfortunately not supported).
Fixed bug in Twitch Emote Dropper where some config values were not saved correctly.

This patch mainly fixes the Unity security vulnerability that was disclosed today but also contains some other improvements/fixes.
Fix for CVE-2025-59489, a security vulnerability affecting all Unity-based games. VTube Studio now uses Unity 6000.0.58f2 and is not affected.
Increased maximum VNet model/asset size from 300 to 320 MB to accommodate certain bigger models.
Fix for issue that made VTube Studio freeze intermittently every few seconds/minutes for some users.
Various improvements of per-frame memory usage. Should improve performance especially for larger models.
VTube Studio now automatically makes sure the window cannot be smaller than a certain threshold. This change was made to fix a bug where VTube Studio could become a 1x1 pixel window and crash on startup.
Fixed bug in animation system that caused glitching when using Live2D "inverse step" keyframes in animations.
Finally, this update adds back the manual key selector when setting up hotkeys. You can manually select keys from a list by clicking the pencil button here:

It's most likely because you don't have the most recent "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable" installed. From now on, VTube Studio will automatically install it when updating. But if you are getting crashes right now, please install it manually for now:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170 Make sure you get the X64 version from this page.
Here is a direct link to the currently most recent version: https://download.visualstudio.microsoft.com/download/pr/7ebf5fdb-36dc-4145-b0a0-90d3d5990a61/CC0FF0EB1DC3F5188AE6300FAEF32BF5BEEBA4BDD6E8E445A9184072096B713B/VC_redist.x64.exe After downloading and installing, VTube Studio should work again. This small patch (1.32.3) fixes some bugs introduced by the previous update, adds one new asset and slightly re-adjusts the watermark coverage.
Fixed a bug where items loaded from item scenes during collabs would mistakenly get attached to your collab guests if their models contained the same ArtMesh IDs as your own model.
Fixed a bug where locked and pinned items would very slowly move upwards.
Adjusted watermark coverage from ~70% to exactly 50% to precisely match the updated Live2D SDK free version license requirements. The initial increase was meant to comply with Live2D's recently updated licensing policy, which now requires at least 50% horizontal coverage (and at least 20% vertical coverage). We overshot a bit to be safe, but based on feedback, we’ve fine-tuned it to match the required amount more closely.
Finally, one more split Live2D model asset by @7MC_Official was added: a cute swim ring (called "Swimming Tube \" in VTube Studio). Didn't quite make it for the initial release, but it's done now!!
More things coming soon!! If you have any questions, please reach out on the VTube Studio Discord: Join VTS Discord (〃^▽^〃)
The first big new feature is Split Live2D items!! You can have split Live2D items now with a front and back part, so they're wrapping around the main model and make it look like you're really wearing the item.
Internally this works by splitting the Live2D item at a certain layer into a front/back part and then setting orders within the main model for those parts separately.
VTube Studio comes with a few items that already have this set up so you can play around with them. But, you can also easily set this up for your own Live2D items.
More info: https://github.com/DenchiSoft/VTubeStudio/wiki/Between-Layer-Item-Pinning
Isn't that cool!?
Next, you can now pin stuff to other people during collabs or take their items now. This also works with the split Live2D items. Not much else to explain here. People requested this one a lot!
More info: https://github.com/DenchiSoft/VTubeStudio/wiki/Multiplayer
Also, there are new expression parameter modes! When you create an expression, you can now select between "overwrite" (standard), "add" and "multiply".
"Add" just adds a static value to that parameter at the end (after tracking) and "Multiply" multiplies the Live2D parameter by the set value. The value can also be negative, so you can do a lot of interesting stuff with it, like having hotkeys that invert the tracking.
Oh and there's mocopi tracking in VTube Studio now!!??! It's a bit crazy to use that in 2D models, but the Sony mocopi team reached out and asked if it could be added. They even made a really pretty example model you can use for free.
For more info on that, check this page: https://github.com/DenchiSoft/VTubeStudio/wiki/mocopi
There's even more stuff:
You can now turn expressions on/off WITHOUT making hotkeys for them.
You can now create expressions and expression hotkeys for items super easily.
You can now set ArtMesh recolors for items directly.
You can set fixed positions for VNet collab participants (who's in front).
VNet collab guest model positions will now be remembered when guests leave and re-join (if you control their positions).
There's now detailed upload/download statistics so you can see how far along VNet model upload/downloads are (can sometimes be useful when models take long to upload).
"Alt" is supported as a hotkey now.
You can now turn on pin notifications that show you exactly which layer in your model items pin to.
You can set items to only pin to one specific layer in your model. Useful to actually get those hats to pin to your head and not some weird hair overlay layer (though that can look pretty funny too).
And then there's some more stuff and a bunch of bugfixes.
Finally, there were some adjustments that had to be made to the watermark in VTube Studio so the app stays compliant with the updated Live2D SDK licensing terms. For more information, please check this Tweet: https://x.com/VTubeStudio/status/1930366944441511953
