🌜QoL🌛:

• Adjusted loot screen type label so it's easier to see

• Space is now ignored as a default in input

🪳Bug Fixes🦟:

• Music didn't work correctly on game start

• Fixed several localization issues

• Removed offensive words

• Removed most names

• Removed a crash on startup when language didn't exist in game

• Fixed crash when locale wasn't setup correctly and an ability was used

• Fixed an issue where abilities weren't being triggered correctly in other languages

• removed exploit when looting

• enemy ability timers now correctly pause when looting

• removed 100% loot and pickup chance

• removed buggy transition out of loot screen

• removed words that conflict with auto submit

• fixed abilities not working in another language

What's New? 🤔🤔🤔

🎊 Features 🪄:

• Added a tutorial! 👉 auto plays first time player enters a map and starts a game

• Added modifiers! 👉 endless: game goes on forever, frail: you only have one health, perfect: a single wrong keystroke ends the run

• Added difficulty selection! 👉 from 50 to 500. Influences enemy word length, spawns, speed, ability usage, etc.

• Added a ton of pickups! 👇

• pickup: damage 👉 doubles damage dealt from typing

• pickup: experience 👉 doubles all experience and gathers automatically on first pickup

• pickup: health 👉 heals you by 3

• pickup: letter 👉 reduces all enemy words by one letter. If the enemy has a 4 letter word, it dies

• pickup: loot 👉 open it for a bunch of upgrades!

• pickup: movement 👉 quadruples your movement distance!

• pickup: push 👉 pushes all enemy back a huge amount

• pickup: refresh 👉 refreshes all your ability cooldowns

• pickup: shock 👉 when you damage an enemy by typing, damage another random one in range

• Added a special event per map! 👉 rewards will be available in a future patch

• Added support for Russian Language

• Added credits scene, now you can see everyone who's helped on the game!

• Added minimap in-game! 👉 see where you are relative to pickups

🔨 Balancing 🔧:

• Changed all ability cooldown values

• Made characters starting ability three times as strong

• Enemy spawns are now more dynamic to ensure a stable level of difficulty

• Enemy words also increase in length as the game goes on

• Enemy movement scales with difficulty and time

• Enemy word length influences amount of xp dropped

• Enemy abilities scale with difficulty and time as well

• Map has been completely reworked so the player can actually traverse through it more easily

• Improved player movement distance

🌜QoL🌛:

• Language can now be chosen by typing it from main menu!

• Enter advances main menu automatically; can be done all the way into the game!

• Added pickup disappearing animation

• Added pickup duration display

• Added pickup active VFX

• Ability duration and stats are now reflected correctly in-game and in Main Menu

• Added animation for player movement

• Improved SFX for different events in-game

• Movement directions now auto-submit!

• Typing "menu" or "restart" from the pause menu in-game automatically executes those actions

• Pausing the game shows what each value on the left-hand UI means

• Added pickups on the minimap display

• Added loot screen and three different rarities; I hope you enjoy the VFX!

🪳Bug Fixes🦟:

• Language button(s) now works correctly in Main Menu

• Pickups correctly stop when game is paused

• Fixed incorrect highlighting of words

• Select Screen text overflowing is no more!

• Cyclic dependency which caused game crash has been slain!

• Fixed issue with game not pausing correctly

• Fixed enemy abilities still occurring when game is paused

• And many others I forgot to document! 🙈
