Have fun playing!
Trash Rush is a beta mode. We are collecting feedback and will tune, rebalance, or expand it if players enjoy the mode.
- The run lasts for 30 minutes.
- There is no story, phone calls, or business secrets.
- You score points whenever you earn income. At the end of the run, compare your score with your personal best. Your best score is also stored in the Steam leaderboard.
- Skill tree nodes unlock automatically when your accumulated score reaches the next threshold.
- Taking a skill reveals two random reachable nodes connected to any skill you already own. If the new node has no children, it will not reveal more options. You cannot pick freely from the full tree like in the main game, so adapt to the situation and use your choices to shape it.
- You always have two tasks: find a requested item, and craft rare materials. The item reward is paid when you find that item for the first time; after every item from every package is unlocked, the task asks for a rare version instead.
- Packages improve faster: every completed package work cycle gives that package a new level. Packages also have a Value level. Raise Loot and Value levels to make trash from that package sell for more.
We’d love to hear what you think about the new mode. Have fun!
I’m happy to announce that a new patch is now available - so don’t forget to update the game! Based on the most common criticism from players, this patch will hopefully solve, or at least significantly reduce, the game’s biggest issue: excessive grinding.
It addresses the problem in two ways. First, the balance has been adjusted in several areas to make progression faster. More importantly, we have also added an optional recommendation window that will appear the first time you open the skill tree.
We have been carefully reading all of your feedback, including the critical reviews. Although many players have mentioned that the game feels too drawn out, the amount of time it takes to complete the game and see all of its endings varies greatly - from around 3 hours to as much as 12 hours.
Of course, everyone plays at a different pace. Some players rush, while others prefer to take their time. However, experience with similar games also plays a major role. Some players immediately understand which upgrades are the most effective, while for others, the best choices may not be obvious at all.
Because of this, instead of simply making progression much faster across the board, we have added an optional recommendation system. When enabled - and it is enabled by default - you will not just be choosing which skill to upgrade next. Instead, the game will highlight the skills worth prioritizing if you want to progress efficiently.
Players who prefer to figure everything out on their own can disable this option at any time.
I sincerely hope these changes will make the game much more enjoyable. Since the recommendations are optional, everyone can choose the playstyle they find more fun - progressing efficiently or simply experimenting with different upgrades.
I would really love to hear what you think. I’ll be very happy if your reviews show that the pacing has improved, allowing us to start thinking about larger and more substantial updates.
We read every single review without exception, in every language.
Have fun!
The day has finally come - Trashy Cashy is officially out now on Steam!
It’s time to dive into a world of trash, money, and questionable business partners. Join the shady Trashy Cashy franchise, dig through mountains of garbage, find your own path to wealth, and perhaps make a few morally questionable decisions along the way. It’s only a game, so anything goes!
The full release includes:
the complete gameplay loop and all core content;
an entire Robotics section featuring two controllable helper robots;
a skill tree;
trash processing and the ability to turn materials into other materials;
a huge amount of trash. Seriously, a lot of trash;
and even a few story twists :)
Thank you to everyone who wishlisted the game, played the demo, shared feedback, and supported its development. This release would not have been possible without you.
Special thanks to the content creators who featured the game:
and many others!
Trashy Cashy is available now - jump in, leave a review, and let everyone know just how dirty your road to riches became!
See you among the mountains of trash! 🗑️💰
Hi everyone!
We’re thrilled that so many of you have enjoyed the demo!
Steam Next Fest starts today, and Trashy Cashy is taking part!
We’ve also updated the demo, mainly to make one of the mechanics that many players found confusing a little clearer: selling items through the smartphone.
Just a reminder: you can only sell rare items that have a special marker underneath them on the shelves! :)
Here’s what you can expect in the full version:
Most importantly: mountains of new trash and packaging!
A new robot type, Shelfie, designed to work with shelves
A dedicated Robotics section for fine-tuning your robots’ behavior
Rebalancing of just about everything, with around 4-6 hours of engaging gameplay instead of roughly one hour in the demo
A much larger skill tree
A material system featuring six new resources in addition to money
A new material processing window
Various new mechanics, including flies and dirty items
Even a story and multiple endings! We know that’s not the most important part of an incremental game, but we had a lot of fun making them
We hope you enjoy the demo - or at least remember to add Trashy Cashy to your wishlist!
We look forward to seeing you in the full game when it launches on June 24.
