First of all, we want to apologize to everyone. Since we are developing a new game, we haven't had the time to continuously maintain the game.
However, we haven't given up on Touhou Witch's Night Market. Version 1.3 and the Creative Workshop will be released as planned, it's just that it may take a few more months…
We hope everyone continues to support us and give us more suggestions to help us improve the game!

Notes on the 1.2.3 Update
After updating to version 1.2.3 this afternoon, a large-scale error occurred. The specific reason is that some computers seem to prevent the game program from accessing certain folders (referring to C:\\Users\\(your username)\\AppData\\Local\\Temp), which caused the mod to be unpacked to the wrong location, resulting in file conflicts and various error messages popping up in the program.
We have now fixed this issue and re-released version 1.2.3. If you encounter any serious or minor problems in the game, please immediately join the QQ group 1062830120 or the Discord "Touhou Witch's Night Market Community" to provide feedback, and we will handle it as soon as possible.
If you unfortunately encountered error issues after updating this afternoon and the errors still persist after rolling back the version, the game may prompt you to delete certain files after this update. Please follow the prompt to delete the corresponding files (you may need to start-delete-error-stop several times before returning to normal). If you cannot find the related folder, it may be because hidden files are not allowed to be displayed; please set your system to show hidden files.
We apologize again for the inconvenience caused to everyone! We will learn from this incident and continue to improve our future work!
Finally, we sincerely thank everyone for their continued support!
There was a problem with version 1.2.3, so we have temporarily rolled back to version 1.2.2a. We apologize for any inconvenience caused!

Hello everyone, this is E17bits.
Touhou Witch's Night Market has been released for three days now, and I'm glad to see your supports and love to this game.
Many players are curious about our upcoming update plans.I'll reveal a preview of the upcoming free updates here:
Many players have been eager to see what Marisa looks like when defeated… Although it's a bit embarrassing, the thought of getting a really big mushroom makes Marisa resolutely willing to sacrifice herself…
More items and skills are already being developed at full speed! We will ask for players' suggestions for naming them—who knows, in the end, you might decide the names of these items and skills!
Marisa wants to adventure in more places, so of course more events are included in the update plan!
Everyone seems to want more cute stickers to decorate their desktops! In that case, more stickers will definitely be added! Our artist is working on it now (he works so hard that even lost some hair for drawing them)
Many players feel that the customization options in Extra mode could be improved. Soon we will release a variety of more interesting options!
Have you ever felt unsatisfied after winning a round? In our next update, you will be able to hit sandbags in your historical records! Many people are interested in sandbox mode, but due to some technical reasons, it may be released in a later update!
Steam achievements will be coming soon! Although you could press F1 to bring up the console and earn achievements easily, but I believe good kids will definitely try to unlock all the achievements by their own efforts!
Many players using touchscreens and controllers are eager for a more proper support! In the next update, everyone will be able to enjoy the game using touchscreens and controllers!
Besides the updates mentioned above, we will also make a lot of balance adjustments to the game!
Recently, I've received a lot of bug reports, and the programmers have been working hard on it. Our dev team will fix all the bugs before creating new content! (Hopefully no more bugs will ever appear)
Whether you have any suggestions about our game, or you want to share your build with other players, feel free to join our Discord Touhou Witch's Night Market Community to give us your feedback or participate in the discussion!

Hello everyone, I am E17bits, the producer of Touhou Witch's Night Market. After three and a half months of development, this game is finally meeting everyone! With feelings that are hard to put into words, I have finally reached the moment to write this article. Along the way, this game has gone through many experiences, and I would like to take this opportunity to briefly share the story of its development with you.
In August 2025, our other game, Overheat, ran into very serious development difficulties. We encountered many major design problems that caused the game to be constantly revised without ever meeting our expectations.
Ultimately, we made a bold decision: to create a lighter game and take this opportunity to re-examine Overheat. After a rapid design phase, the project Touhou Witch's Night Market officially began on August 14, and then followed three and a half months of intense work.
At first, the development of this game went very smoothly. We completed 80% of the game in the first month; however, we still faced design and art issues... To solve these problems, we spent all the remaining time continuously optimizing every part of the game. During this period, we practically worked overtime every day until after eleven o’clock.
Originally, this game was scheduled to release on November 25, but due to various reasons, the release date was eventually changed to December 3. Nevertheless, we completed all the planned development work. Despite some lingering regrets, we are very confident in our work. I can proudly say that after six years of game development, I finally created a game that I am truly satisfied with and passionate about.
The story of Touhou Witch's Night Market doesn’t end here. We have already planned some updates and will share them with everyone in the near future. We also hope that our supporters will find joy in this game!
I am E17bits. For more development stories, please visit the Meboxen club in the game!
