https://store.steampowered.com/app/3531630/Hello everyone! I'm happy to introduce Tomb of the Bloodletter's newest character: The Dockhand! He can only spell words that are six letters or less, so you'll have to make clever use of his random toolset!
Additionally, I've added two new steam achievements to the game, one for beating it with each of the two newest characters (The Hothead and The Dockhand). We’re also part of the indie.io Franchise Sale, and the game is currently 25% off ( the lowest it’ll be for the foreseeable future), so there's never been a better time to jump into the tomb!
I'm looking forward to seeing the new strategies you all come up with, and if you'd like to discuss the game or provide any feedback, please join our community discord!

Hello everyone! Tomb of the Bloodletter is 20% off for the Steam Spring Sale, and now's the best time yet to give it a go! Players have been really liking the new Hothead character, and there are now some very helpful community-made guides for getting started in the Tomb!
Plus, an EVEN NEWER character is on the horizon! Start playing now so you're ready when this new nautically-themed friend washes ashore on April 3!
I hope you all look forward to the new character, and I'm happy everyone is enjoying the game thus far!

Hello everyone! It's been almost a month now since TOTB came out, and I'm really glad people seem to be liking it! I'm excited to share that the first of 4 new characters is now available to unlock, once you've beaten the game with the first 4.
I'm really happy with how this character's turned out, as it's going to encourage a playstyle that revolves almost entirely around the Fury mechanic, which some players seem hesitant to engage with. I won't say much more about the Hothead because I think his abilities will be a fun surprise, but I think he'll do a good job shaking the game up for any players who've gotten used to relying on certain strategies.
Additionally, I've drastically improved the history panel! It now displays a graph of your lifetime letter usage, and keeps track of all the Magicks you have (and haven't) used!
Smaller changes include a few bug fixes, polish updates, and some new words added to the dictionary.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts on the new character, and thank you all so much for playing!

Tomb of the Bloodletter is finally out, and you can start playing it right now! I poured a lot of time, effort, and weird squiggly lines into this game and I really hope everyone enjoys it!
If you have any issues or find any bugs, please hop into our discord server and let us know in the #bugs channel!
Additionally, if you're having fun with TOTB, please leave a review on the store page as soon as you can! This really helps spread the word about the game and encourages steam to show it to more people.
I hope to see you all down in the Tomb, using the word "squelching" to attack a sentient candelabra!

Tomb of the Bloodletter is finally releasing on Feb 5, 2026! The full version of the game will feature 4 playable characters, dozens of enemies, steam achievements, and more!
Strategically craft words to defeat the wacky weirdos that infest this ancient tomb, and build your unique deck of Magicks each run to your liking!
After over 2 years of development, I'm really happy with how the game's turned out, and I can't wait to see the different strategies players come up with. Join our Discord to discuss the game and stay up to date on further announcements, and remember to wishlist the game before it comes out on the store page, where you can also try the demo!
Thanks for following TOTB's development thus far, and I think you'll really like the game when it releases in a few weeks!
I'm Ethan, and I've been working on this game for around 2 years now - refining combat mechanics, designing enemy abilities, and - yes - drawing crazy stuff like this:
Tomb of the Bloodletter is a roguelite with a focus on the meat of each and every turn. Yes, you'll be accruing various and interesting items throughout each run, but you'll need to really think through each battle in order to make use of all those goodies. Here, using an "A" before a "G" at the right time can be just as consequential as deciding between which powers to add to your deck.
In addition to boasting 4 playable characters, 3 unique zones, and over 25 usable letters(!), TotB employs an innovative dungeon-navigation system wherein you make the map of each floor yourself, using (what else?) a word! Want a new ability and an HP upgrade? No problem! Just think of that elusive string of letters that makes it possible!
If all that sounds up your alley, you can actually try it out right now!
The TotB demo is live, so go ahead, string together some truly cursed words, and see how long you can survive the alphabet soup of doom.
I've also got some big news , especially exciting as a solo dev!
I've chosen to partner with publisher indie.io because I've heard lots of great things about them from other developers, and I really think they'll help bring Tomb of the Bloodletter to a wider audience! For those of you who may not know, working with a game publishing platform like indie.io greatly helps indie developers focus on game development while they handle all the behind-the-scenes magic. From helping manage store pages to crafting marketing campaigns and even helping the game shine at both digital and live events, indie.io helps in all the aspects that indie developers often struggle with alone.
If you want to check out some of indie.io's other games, you can do so here: https://store.steampowered.com/publisher/indieio
I hope you're all ready to hit monsters in the face with awesome words like "swirling" and "warthog," and don't forget to wishlist and follow Tomb of the Bloodletter wherever you can!
