Changes and Fixes
Summer is in full swing, and it’s time to experience New York as you have never seen it before.
From July 21 to August 11, defeat powerful enemies, collect exclusive loot and navigate hazardous weather conditions in the Dust Storm Event. All players who log in to the game during the event period will be granted the Parched Mask as a free reward.
As part of the celebrations, access to the Warlords of New York expansion will be free for all players for the duration of the event. Event participation will require a character level of 40 and completion of the Warlords of New York campaign.
New York is experiencing turbulent dust storms, obscuring target visibility and ramping up the tension, heightening the risk of hidden enemies. There are two variations of the storm effects:
Calm Dust Storm
The default weather system upon loading into the New York map, obscuring sightlines and keeping you on your toes. The Calm Dust Storm will last up to 18 minutes before intensifying. Note that this timer will restart upon each login.
Raging Dust Storm
The Raging Dust Storm kicks things up a notch, further limiting visibility and buffeting agents with intense wind noise to disorientate you for a tense 8-minute window. This provides the perfect cover for constant ambushes from squads of enemy Dust Devils.
After the Raging Dust Storm has passed, the weather may return to either a Calm Storm state, or a brief respite of clear, sunny weather to allow you to get your bearings and prepare for the next fight.
Dust Devils are group of Rikers that saw the perfect opportunity to seize on the chaos of the storm and use it for their own gains. Dust Devil Kill Squads spawn on a 6-minute timer in groups of 4 named enemies, that will actively hunt you down. The Dust Devils are using the storm to their advantage with multiple modifiers, so be sure to close the gap:
Status Resistance Modifier
0% Status Resistance if Agents are between 0-25 meters
80% Status Resistance if Agents are further than 26 meters
Decrease Damage Dealt
Reduces damage by 20% to Agents between 5-25 meters
Reduces damage by 50% to Agents further than 26 meters
Increase Damage Taken
Takes 50% more damage from Agents between 0-10 meters
Takes 20% more damage from Agents between 11-25 meters
Plan your attack carefully and make use of positioning to maximize the effectiveness of your close-range tools.
During the Raging Dust Storm enemies spawn continuously on a short cooldown until the Raging Dust Storm subsides. Up to 6 enemies can be active at any one time- kill them fast enough and you can defeat up to 48 enemies in a single Raging Dust Storm.
Make sure to keep moving, as spawns will not trigger if you are stationary.
Cause enough trouble for the Dust Devils, and they’ll call in the big guns. Once you defeat enough enemies and near the threshold of 50 kills for a boss spawn, you will receive a prompt to Call for Backup. Make your preparations, as the event bosses are on their way:
Pall hides in the storm as a sniper using Sniper Turret and Decoy tech, while being invisible to Pulse scanning.
Black Lung acts as a tank, using an LMG to lay down heavy fire and is supported by an Artillery Turret.
Both bosses will spawn simultaneously, for groups and solo players. Pall and Black Lung can spawn in any weather condition, so long as the Dust Devils Named Enemies kill threshold of 50 Named Enemies is reached.
Upon being defeated, each boss will drop a Storm Key, as well as a unique mask on first defeat.
It isn’t just the weather that has seen a change; the storm has brought new environmental decorations, and some intriguing caches.
Throughout the New York map you will encounter 20 hidden caches of loot, split amongst the decorated areas- destroy them to be rewarded with the same gear found within the Event Vendor Gear Caches. The Dust Devils will repair these caches, allowing them to be interacted with again after each daily reset.
Keep your ears open- the limited visibility in the storm can make visual identification tricky, so be sure to pay attention for the distinct audio cue played by the caches.
The Dust Devils aren’t ones to forgive your interfering with their loot, however: interacting with a cache prompts a group of Named Enemies to prepare to ambush you.
Rumors have reached SHD that the dust storms hide an even greater threat, attacking sporadically once a Raging Dust Storm has subsided, preying on weakened Agents. Reports say that they can be identified by their distinctive mask, and are in possession of Storm Keys.
After amassing your stock of keys, it’s time to head to the Haven settlement. Residents of Haven have updated their decor to combat the dusty conditions, and the Event Vendor has been given a refresh.
The Event Vendor will be your main hub for redeeming keys.
You can get Storm Keys by:
Defeating Dust Devil Kill Squads
Defeating Dust Devil Bosses
Defeating The Scoured Hunter.
Keys are guaranteed scaling with difficulty:
Normal: 14 Kills
Hard: 14 Kills
Challenging: 12 Kills
Heroic: 10 Kills
In addition to this is the Daily Boost: every day, the first 150 kills will have the requirement for a key reduced by half. The Daily Boost resets 24 hours after the first event enemy squad you kill.
Apparel Caches contain only vanity items, with no duplicates, so every key spent gets you closer to completing the full collection:
Wired Outfit (headgear, shirt, pants, shoes)
Vagabond Outfit (glasses, shirt, pants, boots)
Parched Outfit (headgear, shirt, gloves, pants, shoes)
Breathless Outfit (headgear, shirt, gloves, pants, boots)
Breathless (Grey) Outfit (headgear, shirts, gloves, pants, boots)
Yield Outfit (headgear, shirt, pants, shoes)
Parched Headgear (Black/Red, Green and Orange variants)
Black Lung Headgear (Black/Red, Green and Orange variants)
There are 43 items in total, and collecting the full set will reward you with the new Black Blizzard Scanner Pulse Skill VFX. Apparel Keys can also be purchased with Premium Credits.
Gear Caches bring a mix of returning and event-specific loot, including Named items, Exotics, and a rare chance to obtain Prototype gear.
Alongside this comes a new event weapon:

REALISM MODE COMEBACK
Realism Mode returns, running for the duration of the Dust Storm Event. For those that missed it the first time around, Realism Mode is a limited time experience that lets you enter New York and see what it means to operate as a Division Agent in a more grounded and unforgiving way, where every decision matters.
It’s a separate character journey that takes place throughout the Warlords of New York campaign. Warlords of New York is accessible to everybody throughout the Dust Storm Event, giving everyone the chance to step into Realism Mode during the celebration.
At its core, it’s about immersion and tension. Fights are faster and more lethal for both agents and enemies. Mistakes carry weight, but victories feel even more satisfying.
You’ll notice the interface has been reduced, placing more emphasis on reading the world around you. Ammo is recovered directly from defeated enemies, and while skills remain powerful, their longer cooldowns and added risk make them tools best saved for critical moments.
Gear and weapon bonuses reflect the physical nature of what you wear, with heavier pieces providing increased protection at the cost of mobility, while lighter gear favors speed and flexibility at the cost of survivability.
This refresh brings new rewards, too: players who complete the Liberty Island mission will be rewarded with the Salt Flat MK46 LMG Skin, while those that are brave enough to complete it with a Hardcore Character will also be awarded the Kill Count skin, also for the MK46.
Alongside this, the earlier Realism Mode rewards return too: Arid Forest Camo for the KSG Shotgun and the Concrete Camo for the Police M4 should you complete it with a Hardcore Character.
Previous Realism Mode characters have been removed, with all players starting the experience from the beginning.
We’re also launching a new Creator Collaboration with NGN, Charles, and FilipeRaaamos, with their own activities and rewards from July 21 until August 11.
Each creator introduces their own Project Chain, taking you across different areas of New York, and asking you to complete activities in specific Named Zones.
New steps unlock daily, with each project building on the last. You can progress at your own pace, once a project becomes available, it remains accessible until the event ends.
You can focus on a single creator or work through all three, depending on how you want to approach it.
As you progress through the chains, you’ll earn:
Named Item Caches
Exotic Components
Recalibration Caches
Optimization Caches
Completing all 6 projects in a chain unlocks the final reward:
An exclusive backpack themed after that creator.
There are also rewards to find outside of the Project Chains. You may also come across creator-themed apparel, like caps, shirts, and hoodies hidden in containers as you explore.
Each creator will also be sharing codes for exclusive arm patches through their own channels, so if you’re following them, you won’t want to miss it!
The Paradise Lost Incursion is getting a refresh on July 21, with a new Exotic Weapon. The Incursion will also now allow the Ambush and Assault Global Events to be active in the Incursion. This is with the aim of allowing those that have yet to engage with Incursions to have a helping hand when tackling the content for the first time and give them a fighting chance in securing the new Exotic weapon.
Check out the new Exotic, Prima Donna, below:
Prima Donna
Exotic Marksman Rifle
Talent:
You can look…
When out of combat, receive 10 stacks (PvP: 5 stacks).
This weapon deals +12.5% Amplified Damage (PvP: +12% Amplified Damage) per stack.
…but you can’t touch.
1 stack is automatically consumed to fully repair one instance of damage you receive.
1 stack replenishes every 3s (PvP: 8s).
Alongside its talent, Prima Donna has notably different stats from a regular Mk20:
Damage (Level 40): 417.7K
Rate-of-Fire: 55
Magazine Size: 7
Prima Donna will not be replacing Ouroboros. Instead, both Exotics will drop in the same way: with a higher chance from the final chest of the Incursion, and a low chance from completion of the Wright, Martinez and Johnson Named Boss encounters.
We have a packed schedule of smaller events, too:

The Kenly College Expedition is open to all and grants the Diamondback Exotic Rifle upon completion.

Improvements and Fixes
From June 30 through July 14, the Fog settles over the streets with a new Event Pass inspired by Dead by Daylight.
Earn Season XP through regular play to progress the Event Pass and unlock a collection of outfits and backpack trophies inspired by some of the Entity’s most recognisable Killers.
The Deathslinger Outfit
The Deathslinger’s Hat Backpack Trophy
The Huntress Outfit
The Huntress’ Axe Backpack Trophy
Available for 1000 VC, the premium track includes:
The Oni Outfit
The Oni’s Mask Backpack Trophy
The Trapper Outfit
The Trapper’s Machete Backpack Trophy
2 Exotic Caches
The hunt does not end with the Event Pass. From June 30 through July 7, Rage Harvest puts you against enemies that grow stronger as they build Overheal. Every Star earned during the event will also contribute 50 XP toward the Dead by Daylight Event Pass.
With the Global Event active, all enemies enter the fight with Overheal, giving them additional protection and increased damage. When they hit you, they restore any missing health and armor before building even more protection. The more they accumulate, the tougher they become and the more damage they deal.
But the strength they steal can become yours. As you damage enemy Overheal, you gain Rage and receive bonuses to your Weapon Damage, RPM, Weapon Handling, Critical Hit Chance and Critical Hit Damage.
Rage thrives on pressure. Stay on the offensive to keep building power, but slow down for too long and it will start to fade.
The longer you stay on the offensive, the more likely you are to take a hit. Guardian Angel is there when your armor finally gives way.
When your armor is fully depleted, Guardian Angel activates automatically, briefly making you immune to damage and Status Effects, clearing any already affecting you, and increasing your movement speed.
Once triggered, the effect needs time to recharge, so it will not be available every time your armor breaks.
Keep harvesting Rage, and the rewards will follow. The 10-tier track includes Named Item Caches, an Exotic Cache, and the Rage Harvest Mask.
Rewards can be claimed throughout the event. Any rewards left unclaimed will be delivered to your mailbox.

Addressed several issues contributing to game crashes and unexpected disconnects. We will continue monitoring stability following the update.
Based on your feedback since launch of Into the Dark, we have made a few adjustments to the PvE Dark Zone:
Loot dropped in PvE DZ is now only visible to the player it belongs to, preventing others from picking it up.
Hunters will now destroy deployed skills instead of taking control of them.
Reduced the visual intensity of the toxic gas to make it less obstructive during gameplay. \
Adjusted the Toxicity audio effect in the PvE Dark Zone to make the persistent background noise less intrusive. \
Increased the amount of Toxicity removed by each Surge activation.
Increased the time the extraction helicopter remains at the extraction point from 60 to 120 seconds.
Added Stabilization Agent information when hovering over an Extraction on the map.
Added Stabilization Agent counter to HUD.
Added quick navigation and the ability to mark cosmetics as favorites.
Fixed an issue where Rikers Rusher enemies had significantly more health than Rushers from other factions. \
Fixed an issue where Classified Assignments displayed already unlocked Collectibles as available rewards for other Agents. \
Fixed an issue where the Manhunt tab could disappear from the Megamap after switching between characters.
Fixed an issue where “Containers” was used instead of “Canisters” in the requirement for the Journey Mission 2, Objective 8.
Fixed an issue where the Y8S2 Seasonal Modifiers Vendor displayed its previous name at the White House Base of Operations.
Fixed an issue that allowed Dark Zone Toxicity and its effects to be cleared after reconnecting.
Fixed an issue where pipe lids did not take damage during the “Destroy the pipe lids” objective in Countdown. \
After the events of last season, the pressure from Black Tusk has eased around D.C., giving the Division a chance to turn its attention back to threats closer to home.
The Hyenas have taken advantage of that opening.
Reports indicate they have developed a new Potent Spice formula, one that makes their fighters more resistant to pain and harder to bring down. The source appears to be a chemical compound recovered from the Dark Zone, now being stored and moved through new Hyena outposts inside the area.
That same compound could be used by the Division for something very different: medical support for civilians and Agents still holding the city together.
Your objective is to enter the Toxic Dark Zone, disrupt the Hyenas’ operation, and recover Sample Cannisters before they can be turned into something far more dangerous.
Here’s what’s coming with Into the Dark.

New Weapons, Gear, and Talents

Classified Assignments
Season Pass
One Time Offer
And More…
Into the Dark includes the first step in a broader update to the PvP experience, with changes applying across Conflict and all Dark Zone variants.
For this first phase, the focus is on Weapon and Gear Talents. The goal is to reduce the gap between overperforming and underused options, create more room for different builds, and improve the overall PvP balance.
This is part of a longer process. Future PvP updates are planned to look at Skills, Attributes, Status Effects, and other areas that affect the competitive experience.
For the full list of value changes, please refer to the dedicated PvP balance notes.
Entrance turrets have been adjusted to better prevent door camping by dealing additional direct Health Damage to hostile Agents within range.
Agents now receive a brief invulnerability window when entering the Dark Zone, giving them time to load in and assess their surroundings. This protection ends early if the Agent moves or fires their weapon.
Across all Dark Zones, Landmark activities have become more rewarding. Landmark Chests now refresh more quickly, and Dark Zone Keys have a higher chance to drop from Landmark Bosses and Named enemies.
Exotic Component drop chances from Landmark Chests have been increased:
PvP Dark Zones: 40%
Toxic Dark Zone (PvE): 25%
In the Balanced and Classic Dark Zones, Landmark Bosses now also have a higher chance to drop Exotic Components:
Challenging Landmarks: 33%
Heroic Landmarks: 48%
Dark Zones will now rotate between three variants: Classic, Toxic, and Balanced.

Active
(PvEvP / Normalized / Global PvP Balance: Active / SHD & Expertise: Active / Rogue Protocol: Active)
This variant plays closest to the current Dark Zone experience. Rogue Protocol remains active, Invasions continue to function as they do today, and Agents keep the benefits of their SHD Watch and Expertise progression.
(PvE / Normalized / Global PvP Balance: Active / SHD & Expertise: Active / Rogue Protocol: Disabled / Season / Toxicity)
The Toxic Dark Zone is a variant specific to this season, directly connected to the Cleaning up the Streets Global Modifier.
This version of the Dark Zone is a shared space for up to 12 Agents, designed for those who want to experience the area without the same PvP pressure. Rogue Protocol is disabled, Agent damage is turned off, and you can group up with up to 3 other Agents through the standard party system.
Toxicity covers the entire zone and builds over time, applying hazardous effects the longer you stay inside. To reduce it, you’ll need to activate Surged Active Modifiers, and leaving the Dark Zone completely clears it. Checkpoints and Safe Houses pause the buildup and freeze your current Toxicity value.
Global PvP Balance also applies in the Toxic Dark Zone, allowing builds to follow the same PvP ruleset used in other Dark Zone variants. This should make moving between PvE and PvP variants feel less abrupt, without requiring a full build rethink.
Sample Cannisters can be found in the Toxic Dark Zone as contaminated items, meaning they must be extracted before they can be claimed. Calling the Extraction Helicopter requires a Stabilization Agent, which has a chance to drop from Landmark Chests and Landmark Bosses.
Hunters in the Toxic Dark Zone now guarantee 1 Exotic Component when defeated and have a dedicated 2% chance to drop Eagle Bearer or Ravenous.
(PvPvE / Normalized / Global PvP Balance: Active / SHD & Expertise: Disabled / Rogue Protocol: Active)
The Balanced Dark Zone is for those looking for a more competitive PvEvP experience, with high-level normalization based on the Conflict ruleset.
SHD Watch and Expertise bonuses are disabled, making the experience less dependent on long-term progression. Rogue Protocol remains active, contaminated loot is still at stake, and extractions can still turn into a fight.
To make this variant more rewarding, deconstructing contaminated items inside the Balanced Dark Zone grants double DZ Currency.
Dark Zone vendors have been updated with new cache options focused on progression, crafting, and build improvement. Vendor costs have also been adjusted across all Dark Zone entry points.
Each vendor now offers different cache options:
DZ East: Recalibration Cache (40 DZC) and Optimization Caches (60 DZC).
DZ West: Exotic Component Cache (120 DZC / 4 Items) and Reconstructed Cache (180 DZC).
DZ South: Prototype Core Caches (125 DZC) and Prototype Caches (260 DZC / Higher Chance for Better or Perfect Stats).

The Hyenas have pushed their Potent Spice experiments further, using the Toxic Dark Zone to store and move the chemical compounds needed to produce it.
Your task is to recover Sample Cannisters from Hyena activity and stop those materials from feeding back into their operation.
Once secured, Sample Cannisters can be used in two main ways:
Contribute Sample Cannisters at the seasonal vendor to increase the Sample Size bar and unlock stronger High Quality Munitions bonuses.
Active Modifiers can automatically consume Sample Cannisters on activation to trigger a more powerful Surge version of their effects.
The seasonal vendor is located in the Base of Operations, next to the Specialization table.
At the vendor, you can contribute Sample Cannisters to increase the Sample Size bar. As the bar progresses, it unlocks additional High-Quality Munitions bonuses for the season.
High-Quality Munitions is a temporary buff granted after contributing Sample Cannisters. While the buff is active, you benefit from all bonuses currently unlocked through the Sample Size bar. Each reload consumes one stack, and the buff ends once all stacks are depleted.
Active Modifiers return with a new Surge mechanic.
When you activate an Active Modifier and have enough Sample Cannisters in your inventory, they are automatically consumed to trigger a stronger version of that modifier.
Surged Active Modifiers improve the base effect, add extra bonuses, or reduce certain drawbacks depending on the modifier used. Inside the Toxic Dark Zone, activating a Surged Active Modifier also helps reduce Toxicity.
Active Modifiers can also be upgraded, improving effects such as cooldown, duration, or Surge cost.
The three Active Modifiers this season are:
Invincible - focused on healing, armor repair and temporary damage reduction.
Pneuma - focused on weapon swap speed and stacking bonuses based on weapon types.
Vicarious - focused on skill efficiency, skill damage, and supporting your allies with repairs and healing.
There are 9 Passive Modifiers, split into three categories: Gadgets, Resistances, and Offensive.
They can help you reduce Surge costs, improve your resistance to Toxicity and Status Effects while inside the Toxic Dark Zone, increase how many High-Quality Munitions you can carry, and give you new ways to debuff enemies.
These modifiers can make enemies harder to ignore and more dangerous if left alive. Inside the Toxic Dark Zone, they can also interact with Toxicity, making certain enemies a bigger threat the longer you stay exposed.
Folie à Deux - When the enemy first takes or deals damage, a timer starts and their damage increases over time. If the enemy dies after that timer ends, the modifier can transfer to another nearby enemy.
In the Toxic Dark Zone, it can also increase Toxicity for nearby agents.
Plague Doctor - Grants health regeneration to nearby enemies from the same faction.
In the PvE Dark Zone, agents within its radius gain Toxicity over time.
Soporific - Can apply Lethargy debuff when damaging an agent. While affected by this debuff, incoming damage has a chance to inflict Disorient Status Effect. Killing a Soporific enemy removes the debuff regardless of its remaining duration.
In the PvE Dark Zone, Toxicity increases whenever Soporific triggers Disorient.

Escalation Completion rewards now grant +1 Exotic Component for each Escalation Tier, starting at Tier 5.
Prototype targeted loot drops have been added back to Escalation chests.
Tier 0 rewards now 1 token per player.
Several Escalation mutators have been updated.
Current Escalation mutators include:
Harvester - Regenerates Armor and Health when dealing damage. Can be disabled by damaging the enemy with a grenade or applying any Status Effect.
Suppressor - Charges an EMP blast when damaged, then releases it once fully charged.
Aid Specialist - Repairs the armor of nearby allies when they are heavily damaged.
Hot Foot - Standing still builds up a charge. Once full, you are shocked and take damage.
Unyielding - Cleanses Status Effects once when the enemy reaches a set Armor or Health threshold.
Variety Pack - Repeated kills with the same weapon reduce that weapon’s damage until you switch weapons.
Augment upgrade costs have been adjusted to be cheaper on initial levels and more expensive on later ones. Maxing out one item cost remains as 31 Prototype cores.
Augment reroll cost has been reduced and now caps at 6 Prototype Cores, starting from the 3rd reroll.
Hyena Kill Squads can now ambush you during Retaliation. Stay alert.
The Purple Flame outfit now changes color when paired with the Phoenix Hunter Mask, shifting from purple to red for a new look. The Purple Flame outfit will be available in the store until June 23.
The art team has also added new tech that allows compatible masks to be worn under a veil, giving you more ways to customize your outfit.
Several store improvements have also been made for Textiles:
Textile prices are now shown more clearly across bundles, individual items, Skill VFX, Exotic weapon skins, and other store categories.
Textile currency is now visible in bundle views when items can be purchased with Textiles.
Some bundles can now be purchased with either Premium Credits or Textiles.
Bundle prices now better reflect items you already own, with adjusted prices shown before purchase.
Textile-only items and Textile-only bundles are now supported.
Two new Classified Assignments will be available during Into the Dark: Conspiracy Zone Hideout on June 16 and McMillan Reservoir Assault on July 21.
The first assignment follows an unknown piece of Division tech repeatedly pinging the SHD network from the Conspiracy Zone entertainment complex. The second begins with an urgent request for backup after a fellow Division Agent is injured and trapped while investigating an SHD network anomaly at the McMillan Reservoir.
Classified Assignments offer a more contained experience, with a stronger focus on exploration and storytelling. If you enjoy digging into locations and uncovering what happened there, these are worth checking out. You can search for collectibles, including echoes and audio logs, and earn additional rewards such as themed backpack trophies and named item drops.
Classified Assignments can be accessed through the dedicated Assignments tab on the map once they become available. Access unlocks at Level 30, and assignments can be purchased and launched from there.
The optional Season Pass is available for all The Division® 2 players starting at Level 1, priced at 1000 Premium Credits ($9.99 or your regional equivalent) in the in-game store and it’s available to everyone. While the Season Pass is accessible from Level 1, some of the rewards will be usable only when you reach Level 40.
Additionally, players can opt for the Premium+ option, available for $29.99 or your regional equivalent, which bundles the Premium Season Pass with multiple rewards, offering even greater value.
Players with the Season Pass can unlock premium track rewards such as:
2 Prestige Arm Patches
Hyena Turret Skill VFX
Hyena Kill Squad – Sniper Outfit
Hyena Kill Squad – Rusher Outfit
1 Extra Copy of the Caduceus Exotic Weapon
SHD Approved Exotic Weapon Skin
10 Gear Dyes
10 Universal Weapon Skins
400 Premium Credits
The free track also includes rewards like:
3 Arm Patches
Hyena Hive Skill VFX
Hyena Kill Squad - Controller Outfit
Caduceus Exotic Weapon
Nurse’s Kneepads Exotic Kneepads
Block by Block Universal Weapon Skin
2 Named Weapons
2 Named Gear
1 Brand Set
Both tracks also feature multiple caches to unlock along the way.
Don’t miss out on this exclusive One Time Offer, available for $19.99 or your regional equivalent. It includes 2000 Premium Credits and 600 bonus Credits, plus the CBRN Mask Headgear, perfect for stepping into the season’s most toxic corners.
A storm is closing in on Steel Creek Dam and Hydroelectric Plant.
Later this season, Agents will face a new Incursion as the Rikers take control of the facility under worsening conditions. Breach their defenses, take down the leadership inside, and secure the site before the situation spirals further.
We’ll have more to share soon.
That’s all for now, Agents.
Into the Dark is just the start of the season, with more still to come, including our upcoming summer event later down the line.
As always, if you run into any issues while playing, please report them through the Bug Reporter so the team can investigate.
Good luck out there.

Escalation Tokens will no longer reset at the end of the season.
While our original plan was for Escalation Tokens to reset with each new season, we have since moved away from this decision. Any Escalation Tokens you have earned will remain available after the season ends, so you can continue using them in future updates.
Gear Mod and Skill Mod Targeted Loot in Escalation will now provide drops.
Drops will use Heroic-level roll chances from Tier 0 to Tier 4, and Legendary-level roll chances from Tier 5 onwards.
Improved the Matchmaking Station menu in the Base of Operations and Safe Houses to make the Retaliation matchmaking option easier to find. \
Field Proficiency Caches can now be opened without the hold animation.
Fixed the issue where ECHOs collected before Y8S1.2 did not count toward the “Library of Congress” Classified Assignment collection progress. \
Fixed the issue where overly bright lighting could appear in The Summit on PlayStation 5.
Fixed the issue where the same hold input could be assigned to both “Escalate Mission” and “Open Global Events,” causing a double input conflict on keyboard and controller.
Fixed an issue where the “Busy Little Bee” Talent could grant a higher damage bonus than intended.
Fixed the issue where the Big Alejandro Blueprint could not be obtained from the NY Kill Squad Cache.
Fixed the issue where aiming down sights with the Agitator Exotic Weapon could incorrectly force a scoped-in view. \
Fixed the issue where Master difficulty could fail to appear when switching between Manhunt Climax Missions located in the same area. \
Fixed the issue where restarting the Library of Congress Classified Assignment after completing it could block mission progression by preventing a required door from opening.\

Agents, it has been one year since we returned to Brooklyn, and we are marking the occasion with a special in-game celebration available across Brooklyn, New York, and Washington, D.C.
The Brooklyn Celebration Event Pass will be available from May 21 through June 4.
All Agents can earn free rewards, with the option to unlock additional premium rewards for 100 VC. Progress is tied to regular play. Earn Season XP to move through the Event Pass and use Global Event Stars to speed things up.
The reward lineup features outfits inspired by familiar faces and factions tied to New York and Brooklyn.
Free Track:
Rat Queen Outfit
Danvers Black Tusk Outfit
Premium Track:
LMB Boss Outfit
Cleaners Boss Outfit
2 Exotic Caches
Available from May 26 through June 4, Corrosive Shell is a new Global Event built around Status Effects, explosive reactions, and maintaining momentum.
During the event, hostile factions are protected by a volatile chemical plating known as a Corrosive Shell. Enemies protected by the shell will glow with a purple aura and deflect most regular bullet damage, making them much harder to take down through direct fire alone.
To break the shell, hit enemies with Status Effects. Bleed, Burn, Blind, Ensnare, and other Status Effects can all do the trick. Environmental hazards count too, so a nearby fire canister can be just as useful as your own skills, grenades, or gear setup.
Breaking a Corrosive Shell triggers a corrosive blast around the enemy.
This blast applies the Corrosion debuff to everyone caught in its radius, including you. For Agents, Corrosion temporarily lowers max armor until you leave combat. Enemies that survive are set on fire for 6 seconds, and this is your chance to finish them off.
Defeating a corroded enemy during this window grants Corrosive Momentum, a powerful buff that gives you:
+50% Weapon Damage
+25% RPM
+25% Status Effect
+50% Reload Speed
Corrosive Momentum lasts for 20 seconds, and defeating another corroded enemy refreshes the buff.
To gain Corrosive Momentum, you need to deliver the finishing blow yourself while the enemy is corroded. If the enemy dies from fire damage, another source, or another player’s kill, you will not receive the buff.
If a shielded enemy survives, their Corrosive Shell will regenerate 15 seconds after the initial shell meltdown. This timer includes the time they spend on fire.
In co-op, groups can combine Status Effect builds and work together to keep the Corrosive Momentum active.
Corrosive Shell includes a set of optional Global Event challenges.
Six challenges unlock each day for the first four days. Once unlocked, they remain available until the event ends, so by day four all challenge sets will be active at the same time.
You do not need to manually activate or claim them. They progress automatically as you play.
These objectives are optional, but they are a good way to earn additional Global Event Stars. Stars earned from both Ambush and Corrosive Shell can be used at the Seasonal Vendor, progress the Global Event reward track, and contribute to the Brooklyn Celebration Event Pass.
Make it through the Corrosive Shell chaos, and there is a new reward waiting at the end – the Corroded Mask, earned by completing the event track.
While you enjoy the celebration, remember that Brooklyn may not be as quiet as it seems.
Starting May 26, new activity has been detected beneath the city. Agents returning to the area may come face to face with the Phoenix Hunter.
Proceed with caution.

Cherry Blossom Event
Creator Collaboration
Stats And Resources Multiplier Events
Improvements and Fixes
Cherry blossoms have begun to fall across Washington D.C., but this isn’t just a change in scenery.
From April 21 to May 12, the city shifts with the season. Decorations appear across familiar streets and hidden corners, and a new atmosphere takes over the map, with a few surprises waiting for those who look closer.
All players who log in during the event will receive the Rising Sun Headgear.
The event is active for all level 40 players with seasonal progression unlocked.
Exploring the streets won’t stay quiet for long. Roughly every 10 minutes, squads of five Kitsunebi Named Enemies, a splinter group of the Outcasts, will track you down and engage.
Unlike standard patrols, they fight differently and have a few unique traits:
Shared Health Link means damage dealt to one enemy is spread across the group.
Their tech isn’t fully stable, occasional malfunctions will shock individual enemies and break the link.
When that happens, that’s your window to isolate and take them out.
Stay in the fight long enough, and something stronger answers back. After defeating enough Kitsunebi, the Ronin will appear. You’ll get a prompt to call for backup, and it’s there for a reason.
When they arrive, the world shifts. Dark blue petals fall, the audio changes, and the encounter begins.
Solo Agents will face one Ronin.
Groups will be dealing with both Fox Ronin and Red Ronin at the same time.
They’re more deliberate, more resilient, and equipped to sustain themselves in longer fights. Take them down, and you’ll earn Event Keys, along with unique Skill VFX skins tied to each boss:
Fox Ronin – Drone, Turret.
Red Ronin – Hive, Seeker Mine.
Higher difficulties increase their chances to drop Event Keys.
Not everything is trying to kill you, some thigs are worth slowing down for. Cherry blossom decorations are scattered across D.C., some easy to spot, others tucked away in places you might normally pass by.
Interacting with corrupted decorations restores them, but it doesn’t go unnoticed:
Nearby enemies are more likely to ambush you.
Pink petals begin to fall, signaling the encounter.
Each interaction contributes to your overall progress.
There are 40 decorations to restore across D.C., and finding all of them unlocks the Cherry Arm Patch. Even after that, 3 decorations will reactivate daily at 08:00 UTC, so exploration doesn’t stop once you’ve cleared them all.
Everything you do during the event feeds back into the Base of Operations. The Event Vendor has been given a seasonal refresh and will be your main hub for spending Event Keys.
You can get keys by:
Taking down Kitsunebi squads.
Defeating the Ronin.
Interacting with cherry blossom decorations.
Apparel Caches contain only vanity items, with no duplicates, so every key spent gets you closer to completing the full collection:
Horned Oni Outfit (gloves, shoes, shirt, pants, mask)
Kitsune Outfit (pants, mask, shirt, gloves, boots)
Tiger Boxer (mask, jacket, gloves, pants, backpack, boots)
Autumn Tiger Boxer (mask, jacket, gloves, pants, backpack, boots)
Winter Tiger Boxer (mask, jacket, gloves, pants, backpack, boots)
Kintsugi Fox Mask
Iron Fox Mask
There are 30 items in total, and collecting the full set will reward you with the Lucky Cat Emote. Apparel Keys can also be purchased if you’re looking to complete the collection faster.
Gear Caches bring a mix of returning and event-specific loot, including Named items, Exotics, and a rare chance to obtain Prototype gear.
At the center of it is the event weapon:
First Bloom
Named PDR
Talent Blossom Harvest
Deal 3.3% more damage for each 10% of total HP and Armor the enemy has remaining.
It’s especially effective against high-health enemies, and pairs well with the Kitsunebi health-link mechanic, keeping its damage bonus active for longer.
Gear Cache also contains:
Rare chance to obtain Prototype Gear Set and Prototype Seasonal Named items.
Special Named Gear
Lexington
Turmoil
Caretaker
Shield Splinterer
Huntsman
Hunter-Killer
Handbasket
Seasonal Named Gear
The Harvest
Chill Out
Sleigher
Slingshot
Oh Carol
First Sight
Quickstep
Festive Delivery
Snow Machine
Bell Ringer
General Pool Exotics
During the Cherry Blossom Event, all Agents contribute to a shared, cross-platform Community Challenge.
Progress unlocks exclusive Ronin-themed rewards:
1M Keys – Ronin Outfit
3M Keys – Ronin Gloves
5M Keys – Ronin Mask
You can also earn personal rewards along the way:
10 Keys – Sakura Arm Patch
20 Keys – Koi Arm Patch
40 Keys – Great Wave Arm Patch
80 Keys – Bamboo Arm Patch
Even if you join late, contributing is enough to qualify for rewards once milestones are reached.
We’re teaming up with three members of The Division 2 community, Otsuichi, Rezina, and Mobilmobil, each bringing their own set of activities and rewards into the game through a limited-time collaboration.
The event runs from April 21 until May 12 and is available to all players who have reached level 40 and unlocked seasonal progression.
Each creator introduces their own Project Chain, taking you across different areas of Washington D.C. and asking you to complete activities in specific Named Zones.
Apr 21 - May 5
Earn double Optimization Materials from all available sources throughout the event, making it the perfect time to fine tune your build
April 28 – May 12
Earn triple Conflict XP from playing Conflict, making it easier to rank up and unlock rewards.
Increased Prototype item drop rates across all Escalation tiers, excluding Tier 1.
Added Prototype items to the Targeted Loot daily rotation in Escalation. Enemies tied to the daily rotating Targeted Loot pool now have a chance to drop Prototype versions of those items.
This applies only to the daily Targeted Loot rotation and does not apply to selectable Targeted Loot sources such as Countdown or Summit.
The chance for Prototype targeted loot drops increases with higher Escalation tiers.
Added a warning message to clarify that Matchmaking in Escalation is based on selected Tier rather than Mission.
Added a warning message to clarify that once an Escalation Tier has been confirmed, Matchmaking becomes unavailable for that run.
Disabled certain Matchmaking and Call for Backup options during active Escalation runs to reduce cases where players could be moved into unintended sessions or lose tokens after confirming a Tier \
Prototype items with Skill Tier cores now grant 1.5 Skill Tier per item.
Each item contributes more than a standard Skill Tier, and multiple Prototype items can combine into higher total values.
This allows players to reach higher Skill Tier levels with fewer equipped items. For example:
1 Prototype item provides +1 Skill Tier
2 Prototype items provide +3 Skill Tier
3 Prototype items provide +4 Skill Tier
4 Prototype items provide +6 Skill Tier
This change applies retroactively, meaning previously acquired Prototype items will automatically benefit from the increased Skill Tier values.
Fixed an issue where Prototype items could be lost when upgrading while the inventory was at maximum capacity. \
Fixed an issue where items with mods equipped could incorrectly appear to have reduced or altered Talents and Attributes after being upgraded to Prototype quality. \
Fixed an issue where Daily and Weekly project objectives requiring Named enemy eliminations or faction bounties would not progress if a Level 3 Retaliation for that faction was active. \
Fixed an issue where the “Abridge” Talent did not function with Prototype weapons. \
Fixed an issue where optimized attributes would revert to their original values in Raids and Incursions. \
Fixed an issue where only items of the same type could be compared in the inventory. \
Fixed an issue where players were unable to redeem rewards for the “Summit Combat Mastery Merit”. \
This fix is not retroactive, players will need to replay the Summit activity to receive the reward.
Fixed an issue where the Ruin Mask loot drop from the Pentco Fairview Power Plant mission displayed an incorrect Exotic rarity indicator. \
Fixed an issue where the “Quickstep” Pistol would not receive a Terminal attribute after being upgraded to Prototype quality.
Fixed an issue where the Recombinant Global Modifier description incorrectly listed the base value as 10 stacks instead of 8.
Fixed an issue where the Agitator Exotic weapon was missing a Skin Slot.
Alongside these fixes, we will be granting a Compensation Cache to all players starting April 21 as a thank you for your patience with the unexpected maintenance and store issues.
The cache will contain:
1 x Prototype Core Cache
1 x Optimization Cache
The cache will be delivered via the in-game mailbox.

Black Tusk aren’t holding back this time. They’re moving fast, launching operations across the city in response to Division activity. Agents are left dealing with the fallout, putting out fires wherever they can, and facing some of their most dangerous units yet.
At the same time, this season brings a number of additions aimed at veteran agents looking for more challenge.
Settle in, there’s a lot to cover.
Escalation
Prototype Gear
Retaliation
Modifiers
Gear, Weapons, Talents
Master Climax Mission
Classified Assignments
Season Pass
One Time Offer
Escalation introduces a new way to replay missions, with increasing difficulty and rewards. Designed as an endgame challenge, it’s aimed at agents who have completed the main campaign, reached Level 40, and are looking for something tougher.
At launch, Escalation focuses on main missions and strongholds, but it’s designed to expand over time to cover more activities across the game. The rotation refreshes weekly on Tuesdays, bringing a new set of five each time.
You can access available Escalation missions from a dedicated menu in the Base of Operations, located near the Countdown vendor. From there, you can fast travel directly to the mission.
To begin a run, head to the Escalation panel at the mission entrance. There, you can select a Tier, see the Escalation Token cost, preview rewards, and check which Mutators and Modifiers are active.
Each mission has 10 Tiers, and the higher you go, the tougher things get. You can always attempt the lowest Tier for free, while higher Tiers require Escalation Tokens, with the cost scaling based on the selected Tier.
Completing a mission rewards additional tokens while failing a run means the tokens spent on that attempt are lost.
Each Escalation run is a single attempt. There are no checkpoints, and the mission has to be completed in one go. If your group is wiped or the mission timer runs out, the run fails and you’ll need to spend tokens to try again.
The highest Tiers are meant to challenge even the most optimized builds.
Mutators add an extra layer to Escalation by changing how missions play. They are tied to the selected Tier, with each Tier having its own a consistent set of effects.
This is the current set of Mutators:
Harvester - When dealing damage, this enemy regenerates Armor and Health by a percentage of your maximum Armor. Can overheal.
Suppressor - When damaged, this enemy charges an EMP blast and releases it once fully charged, disrupting everything nearby.
Aid Specialist – Repairs the armor of nearby allies when they are heavily damaged.
Anchor - Gains damage resistance and uses incendiary ammo while allies are still alive.
Hot Foot - Staying in one spot builds up a charge. Once full, you are shocked and take damage.
Unyielding - Enemies become immune to crowd control effects while heavily damaged.
Each season, Mutators will be adjusted, with some added, replaced, or rearranged to keep Escalation feeling fresh.
Escalation can be played solo or in a group, depending on how you want to approach each Tier.
In a group, the party leader selects the Tier, spends the Escalation Tokens, and launches the mission. If the run is successful, the leader receives the main token reward, while everyone else earns standard mission rewards and a smaller share of Escalation Tokens.
Matchmaking is available and based on the Tier you select, rather than a specific mission, making it easier to find others going for the same level of challenge.
Escalation is currently the main source of Prototype Gear, with higher Tiers offering better chances and stronger rolls. If you’re chasing those pieces, this is where you’ll want to be.
Higher Tiers also mean better rewards overall. You’ll earn more Escalation Tokens, increased XP and Season XP, along with rare Expertise materials, but you’ll definitely have to work for it.
At the start of each season, Escalation Tokens reset, so everyone starts fresh as the rotation updates and new challenges come in.
Prototype Gear is a new item quality that sits above High-End, Named, and Gear Set items. Your existing builds will still hold up, this is more about pushing them further if you want to.
These items offer stronger attribute values and come with Augments, giving you more to experiment with. The previous maximum attribute value becomes the new minimum, while the new maximum can reach up to 1.5x higher.
Skill Tier core attributes currently remain unchanged, though additional bonuses for Prototype Gear featuring Skill Tier cores are planned for a future update.
You can obtain Prototype Gear in two main ways, through Escalation runs, where Prototype items have a chance to drop, or by upgrading eligible High-End, Named, or Gear Set items.
Most gear items starting from High-End quality can be converted into Prototype Gear. Exotics are currently excluded but may be supported in future seasons.
To upgrade an item, it will cost 1 Prototype Core and needs to meet a few requirements:
The item must be Level 40
At maximum Expertise level
Reaching Expertise Level 30 is now less demanding, as the upgrade cost has been reduced. Fully optimizing an item is not required before converting it to Prototype, as the upgraded version scales as if the item had been fully optimized.
One attribute is guaranteed to roll at the new maximum, while the others remain at their previous maximum values, with a chance for additional attributes to also reach the new maximum. The chance for additional max rolls has also been increased.
Because of this, you might find yourself upgrading multiple copies of the same item if you’re chasing the best possible rolls.
Once an item becomes Prototype Gear, it can no longer be optimized or recalibrated, so make sure you’re happy with the base item before upgrading. Options to allow recalibration are being explored for future updates.
All Prototype Gear comes with a special effect called an Augment. They function similarly to talents but are drawn from a shared pool rather than being tied to specific gear types, allowing any Prototype item to roll with any Augment.
Augments can also be improved over time as you use the item, so they grow alongside your build. You can reroll them to try for a different effect and choose whether to keep the new result or stick with the original.
Both rerolling and upgrading Augments require a new resource, Prototype Cores, which are mainly obtained by dismantling Prototype Gear. They can also be found in the Prototype Core Cache available in Raids and the Incursion. It’s a rare resource, so you’ll want to spend it carefully.
Currently available Augments:
Quantum - Provides a small chance to become temporarily immune to damage.
Echo - Each bullet fired has a chance to deal its damage a second time.
Atomize - Increases grenade radius and damage.
Amalgam - Each bullet hit has a chance to apply a random status effect.
Trapper - Increases the duration of status effects you apply.
Entropy - Increases your Health based on a percentage of your total Armor.
Anomaly - Skills restore a portion of the damage they deal as healing.
Paradox - Provides a chance to refill part of your magazine while firing.
Synesthesia - Bullet hits have a chance to slightly reduce skill cooldowns.
Overall, Prototype Gear is all about giving you more room to push your builds further.
Prototype Gear is handled differently in certain modes, including Raids, Incursion, and PvP (Dark Zone and Conflict).
In these cases, Prototype items are normalized, with stats set to lower end of the Prototype range, and Augments disabled.
Retaliation is getting a few updates this season, with a new focus on the Black Tusk, something many of you have been asking for.
The Black Tusk Agitation Meter works similarly to other factions, filling up as you eliminate enemies and complete related activities. It can also progress during other factions’ Retaliations, though at a slower rate. BT Retaliations can take place in Washington, D.C. and Warlords of New York.
For the first time, Black Tusk can now take over Control Points in the open world. This only happens if a Retaliation is lost, and unlike other factions, they won’t expand further through convoys or territory control.
Enemies defeated during these events can drop a new material, DIAMOND Transceivers, used for blueprints tied to Retaliation.
You may also encounter a special Black Tusk Maneuver objective, which rewards additional time when completed.
Black Tusk Kill Squads don’t just show up, they come prepared, and they hit hard.
Taking them out is worth the risk, though. Defeating Kill Squads gives you a chance to earn blueprints for several rare Exotics, including Climax exclusives, as well as Capacitor and Vindicator. Completing a full Retaliation also gives you a chance to earn blueprints for certain Raid and Dark Zone exclusive Exotics.
There are two types of Black Tusk Kill Squads, Regular and Elite. The Elite squad, known as BTSU Team 9, is rarer, more coordinated, and significantly more dangerous. They can also show up during other factions’ Retaliations, so you might run into them when you least expect it, watch your back.
A few quality of life improvements have also been made to Retaliation.
This season introduces a change to how the Agitation Meter behaves.
Previously, once the meter was filled, you could trigger a single Retaliation before it reset. With Agitation Overclock, the meter now has multiple levels, allowing you to trigger up to three Retaliations back-to-back.
Retaliation events are no longer tied to real-world time. The timer now progresses based on in-game playtime and pauses while you are participating in another Retaliation.
The time available to collect loot after completing a Retaliation has also been increased from 30 seconds to 90 seconds.
You can now use matchmaking to find other agents participating in Retaliation events. You’ll be matched with players using the same global difficulty.
This season introduces a new modular system built around Recombinant, the core Global Modifier. It’s experimental Black Tusk tech that lets you shape how your bonuses and abilities behave.
Recombinant is built around three modules, Offense, Defense, and Utility.
At the start of the season, they’re evenly balanced, each one providing the same baseline value. As you progress, you can change that balance by increasing or redistributing stacks across the three modules through Active and Passive Modifiers.
Active Modifiers are abilities tied to Black Tusk tech, each linked to one of the three modules, and they play a big role in how your setup comes together.
You upgrade them by using them and defeating enemies while they’re equipped. As they level up, they unlock additional effects and become more powerful.
This season, three Active Modifiers are available:
Blackout Pulse - Releases an EMP pulse that disrupts enemy electronics and applies shock to enemies within range. Each level up raises your base stacks across all modules, and at the highest level the EMP will also pulse enemies hit by the blast.
Cloud Armor – Instantly restores armor to allies within range. Each level up raises your base stacks across all modules, and at the highest level the cloud also blinds enemies caught in the effect.
Optimize / Overload - Enhances skill performance by reducing cooldowns. Each level up raises your base stacks across all modules, and at the highest level it also Overcharges your skills for a short duration.
Passive Modifiers don’t give you an ability, instead they change how your Offense, Defense, and Utility stacks behave.
This season introduces 34 different Passives, and you can equip multiple at once. The order matters, as each modifier influences the ones that follow and affects the final outcome.
You can get Passive Modifiers through the Seasonal Journey, or pick them up from a vendor at the White House using BTSU Firmware, which you’ll earn through the Seasonal Journey and Scouts.
Not every fight will play fair, some enemies bring modifiers that can mess with your setup.
System Drain - Each hit temporarily reduces your module stacks.
Inversion Field - Enemies create a polarity field that reverses the effects of your strongest module while you remain inside it. Taking them out grants temporary protection from these fields.
Obstructor Virus - Defeating affected enemies temporarily disables one of your Passive Modifiers, unless you eliminate them with a headshot.
Enemies using these countermeasures will display modifier icons above their heads, so you can spot them and react in time.
This season’s gear and weapons are built around weapon swapping and adapting mid-fight.
Instead of locking into one approach, you’re encouraged to switch, adjust, and keep your build moving. The more you adapt, the more you’ll get out of it.

Join us on Wednesday, April 1, as we discuss the new season Rise Up and embark on our first journey into Year 8 of The Division 2! 🕛4PM CET/10AM ET/7AM PT 🔗
A new wave of Agents has been activated.
Head over to our official Discord server and join the community for build recommendations, LFG channels, lore chat and more.
Ten years ago, The Division invited players to become agents in a world on the brink, carrying the responsibility of protecting what remained and rebuilding what had been lost. Since then, agents have crossed snow-covered streets in New York and fought to reclaim Washington, D.C., continuing the work of restoring order wherever it was needed.
This anniversary is a moment to reflect on that shared journey, the challenges faced, the victories earned, and the community that has stood alongside us throughout the years.
From March 3 to April 2, we invite you to take part in celebrations created to honor the past decade of The Division. This update also brings visual improvements to the world itself, with refinements to lighting, shadows, fog, reflections, and materials that enhance atmosphere and detail while preserving performance. The result is a Washington, D.C. and New York that feel sharper, richer, and more immersive.
Below, you will find everything arriving with the anniversary and the experiences waiting for agents throughout the month.
To celebrate ten years of The Division, we wanted to create something that lets you experience the world from a fresh perspective. Realism Mode is exactly that, a limited time experience that lets you enter New York and see what it means to operate as a Division Agent in a more grounded and unforgiving way, where every decision matters.
It’s a separate character journey that takes place throughout the Warlords of New York campaign. WONY expansion will be accessible to all Division 2 players during the Anniversary Season, giving everyone the chance to step into Realism Mode during the celebration.
At its core, it’s about immersion and tension. Fights are faster and more lethal for both agents and enemies. Mistakes carry weight, but victories feel all the more satisfying.
Once the campaign is complete, New York is still yours to explore, with content available to replay at your own pace. In many ways, Realism Mode is a reflection of what has always sat at the heart of The Division, risk, survival and the feeling of navigating a living world one encounter at a time.
The Anniversary Season also introduces a limited time Event Pass packed with rewards for you to earn. Progression through the Event Pass will feel familiar, with regular play and completed activities earning Season Pass XP that advances levels naturally over time just by playing. Global Event Stars can also be used to speed up progress.
This time, we reach into the wider Tom Clancy universe. Drawing inspiration from Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, and Rainbow Six Siege, the track features outfit pieces from across those worlds, allowing you to assemble sets inspired by some of your favorite Clancy titles as you progress.
While crossover rewards may draw the spotlight, the event offers much more. You can collect Exotic, Legacy and Enhanced Legacy Caches, the new 10 Year Anniversary Cache, and chase newly added Exotic and Named gear.

Two familiar Global Events from the original The Division make their return: Ambush and Assault.
Ambush rewards patience and positioning, building towards a damage multiplier that can reach up to 200% while you stay still and gradually dropping as you move.
Assault, on the other hand, favors aggressive play, granting increased damage against nearby enemies with a multiplier of up to 200%.
Each Global Event will run for one week and has its own unique mask to earn. Over the anniversary month, Ambush and Assault rotate twice, so be sure to take part each week to collect all four of them.
Ambush: March 3 – March 10
Assault: March 10 – March 17
Ambush: March 17 – March 24
Assault: March 24 – March 31
Alongside the Anniversary Season activities, a themed project will be available from March 16 to March 24 in celebration of National Panda Day. Agents can complete Manning National Zoo and earn the Panda backpack trophy, proving that Division agents protect all civilians, even the ones covered in fur.
To mark the occasion, every The Division 2 player who logs in during the anniversary month will receive an exclusive hoodie featuring Tommy the Bear, a small thank you for your continued support.
The Anniversary Bundle brings a set of extras designed to complement the celebration. Agents can unlock Frost and Flame, a special weapon skin for the Big Alejandro exotic, 50 additional stash space to support growing inventories, and 20 Event Pass level skips.
As we mark ten years of The Division, this celebration is as much about the agents who have shaped this journey as it is about the world itself. This anniversary is an opportunity to look back on how far we have come together while continuing the work that defines every agent.
Thank you for being part of The Division. We look forward to the moments still ahead.

Below is a list of known issues currently being tracked by the team.
As the Stash is not available in Realism Mode, players who purchase the One Time Offer or Anniversary Bundle while using a Realism character will need to switch to a non-Realism character to access Vanity and gameplay rewards stored in the Stash. Items are not lost and remain accessible once switching characters.
Newly dropped or crafted instances of the Lockdown Named Shotgun have incorrect attributes and Total Damage values.
The Military Mk17 deals less damage than intended.
Certain cinematics may not play if the player has previously completed the WONY campaign on a non-Realism character.
"Share items" hints may appear on Item Preview screens within the Inventory when acquiring items while grouped.
You can also track some of the top-level investigations being conducted by the team over on our Known Issues Board.

Strike from the shadows with The Division 2 x Assassin’s Creed collaboration from January 29th until February 12th.
The Event Pass returns with free and paid tracks featuring uniforms inspired by iconic looks from the Assassin’s Creed franchise, including Ezio Auditore and Edward Kenway. Alongside these, Agents can unlock exclusive weapon skins, backpack trophies and arm patches to round out their assassin attire.
Here’s a look at the reward tracks:
As before, the Event Pass is progressed with Season XP, with the Free Track available to all players.
Survive Fest returns for a second run from January 22 through January 27. This is your chance to jump back into Survival in the original The Division and continue your progress.
All rules and rewards remain unchanged, and your previous progress is preserved and combined. If you completed 2 extractions out of the required 5 during the first run, you only need 3 more to finish the objective.
This event also supports the development of Survivors, a new game mode currently in production. After participating in Survive Fest, you will receive a short survey. This feedback will help us shape the direction of this new mode with the community in mind.
Play Survival in The Division at any time between January 22 and January 27.
Fight the cold, scavenge what you can, manage your condition, and aim for one clear objective, reach extraction alive.
Every successful extraction counts toward your event progress.
There are multiple ways to earn rewards, with something waiting for everyone who takes part.
All agents who log in to The Division 2 during the event will receive the Silver Survival 2025 Patch automatically. No extra steps required.
Complete at least one successful extraction in Survival to earn the Golden Survival 2025 Patch in The Division 2.
Agents who push further and complete five successful extractions will unlock the Pestilence Exotic Weapon Skin, “Serum.”
Your extractions from the original run carry over and continue counting toward this total.
A brand-new backpack trophy is available during this run of Survive Fest. Successfully extract at least once to unlock it. Shaped like a rugged stopwatch clipped to your pack, it tracks how long you’ve stayed alive, showing days, hours, minutes, and seconds.
Each day during Survive Fest, 20 Woodsman Outfits will be raffled among agents who successfully extract within the daily eligibility window.
To enter a raffle, complete at least one successful extraction during one of the following periods:
January 22, 9AM to January 23, 8:59 AM CET

Two “Massive” worlds come together in a special crossover event bringing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora into the Division 2. The entire set of collaboration rewards is free and can be earned through the themed Project Chain running from January 13 to January 27.
This special event drops a 7-day Project Chain open to any agent who can access the project system. Each stage leads you to Named enemies throughout the city, turning your daily run into a hunt that becomes more rewarding with each victory.
Completing the entire chain grants all four pieces of the RDA SecOps Uniform along with eye catching Specialization weapon skins inspired by the Ash Clan. Sharpshooter, Gunner, and Firewall each get their own themed skin, letting you bring a touch of Pandora straight into your loadout. Along the way, you will also collect Named Caches and Exotic Components.
A new project unlocks each day, and all seven need to be finished before January 27. Log in, clear your targets, and claim the crossover gear before it disappears!
Take care out there and enjoy the run, agent.

In the wake of a heartbreaking loss, the Division 2 community has come together to honor one of its own. The support the community showed inspired us to take meaningful action, and today, we’re proud to announce a special charity collaboration with Worldwide Cancer Research.
Exclusive Curestarter Bundle - A collaboration with Worldwide Cancer Research
Starting December 18, we are introducing a new bundle: United in the Division - Curestarter Bundle, available for a limited time only through January 6. One hundred percent of net proceeds will go to Worldwide Cancer Research.
United in the Division – Curestarter, will include:
The Curestarter T-shirt
The Curestarter jacket
Worldwide Cancer Research focuses on funding discovery research - the critical first stage of the research journey - into any type of cancer, anywhere in the world. Because the brightest new ideas could come from anywhere, and there are over 200 types of cancer that all need different cures.
Since 1979, Worldwide Cancer Research has invested over £220 million in more than 2,000 research projects in 35 countries worldwide, leading to remarkable breakthroughs. But with cancer rates increasing, and global discovery research funding decreasing, there is an urgent need to push forward faster and fund more new projects.
This simply won't be possible without the continued support of the charity’s incredible community of Curestarters - people who turn their compassion into action by supporting Worldwide Cancer Research's work - for themselves, for their loved ones, and for the millions of people around the world affected by cancer.
Becoming a Curestarter is a positive way to be part of something bigger and to contribute to vital research that will save lives.
Learn more about Worldwide Cancer Research here.
All net proceeds from your donations will go to Worldwide Cancer Research.
Your support will power bold ideas for new cures from world-leading scientists. Cures for the cancers that few have heard of, and for the ones that we know too well. Every single contribution is crucial, because every breakthrough starts with a single action.
Any new test or treatment for cancer starts with discovery research, and more of that research will start with you.
This collaboration is just the beginning. We hope this charity event becomes a recurring tradition, one that unites players and contributes to making an impact outside of the game. Together, we can turn compassion into action and make a real difference.
