Ahoy, Tinkerlanders!
The next major update is getting closer and closer - just a little more patience, and we’ll finally be ready to show you much more. July was another busy month for the team: we kept polishing the game, improving visuals, and preparing new islands, events, enemies, and class content for the upcoming update.
So, what’s new this month?
Visual Upgrade: Caustics
We’ve been improving the visuals of the whole game here and there, and this month we wanted to show one of those upgrades: a new caustics effect in Coraline Fields. It’s a small detail, but the kind that makes the world feel more alive, more polished, and a little more magical. Water should sparkle. That’s just science. Probably.
Musician Shredder
Here’s a sneak peek at the Musician class using the new Shredder weapon.
The Musician is all about bringing a different kind of energy to combat - less “quiet background bard” and more “the soundtrack is now a weapon.” We’ll share more about the class and its abilities as we get closer to the update.
Pirate Invasion
Something is very wrong in town. This month, we’re teasing the new Pirate Invasion event, where all NPCs have been tied up by pirates. How rude, isn't it?
You’ll have to deal with the invasion, rescue the NPCs, and probably remind the pirates that this is not how guests are supposed to behave.
Fungal Event
Fungal Island is getting its own strange little conflict: a rebellion between different types of mushrooms. Green and pink mushrooms on one side. Yellow mushrooms on the other. A tiny mushroom war with suspiciously serious vibes.
This event helps give Fungal Island more personality and makes the biome feel like a place with its own problems, factions, and weird local politics.
Rusty Factory
We also prepared a quick look at Rusty Factory, a new mechanical island with a very different atmosphere from the rest of the world.
It’s rusty, industrial, and not exactly the kind of place where you’d want to have a picnic. Unless your picnic basket contains spare parts and questionable life choices.
Mecharachnid
And finally, here’s a sneak peek at the boss of Rusty Factory: Mecharachnid.
Yes, it’s a rematch with the spider. And no, it has not become friendlier. Expect a tougher, meaner, more mechanical version of a familiar enemy - because apparently one spider problem was not enough.
That’s all for July!
We’re getting very close to the next major update, and we can’t wait to share more with you soon. Thank you for your patience, feedback, bug reports, and support while we keep working on making Tinkerlands bigger, smoother, and more fun to explore.
As always, our Discord is open for feedback, questions, bug reports, and finding co-op partners!
Enjoy your adventure in the Tinkerlands - and happy August!
