Following the VR Update, here are a few improvements to the VR version : - Leak filler no longer fails to repair when held very close to the hole

- In-game menu will no longer vanish behind walls

- A new option in the menu allows to increase the tutorial text size

- Doors manipulation has been improved

- Coop mode now works as intended

How to Access VR

VR support is included for all owners at no additional cost.

When you launch the game on Steam, you can now select VR mode directly from the launch options.

No separate download required — just choose VR and jump in.

About This Update

Bringing Tin Can to VR has been a significant technical milestone for us.

As with any VR release, behavior may vary depending on:

* Headset model

* Runtime (SteamVR / OpenXR, etc.)

* CPU / GPU configuration

* Play space setup

We’ve tested across multiple configurations, but real-world setups always reveal additional edge cases.

Feedback & Bug Reports

If you encounter issues, please include:

* Headset + runtime

* System specs (CPU / GPU)

* Clear reproduction steps

* Logs if available

Structured reports help us track down and fix problems much faster.

What’s Next?

If the VR version stabilizes well over the coming months, we’re considering a **Meta Quest port.**

No timeline to share yet, but it’s something we’d like to pursue.

Two new difficulty modes added:

►Peaceful: You asked for more breathing room in the cosmic panic... and we heard your call through the interstellar void. Welcome to a gentler apocalypse! The atmospheric values have been adjusted in this game mode, significantly reducing the survival-related difficulty. ►Hardcore: Prepare yourself for a challenge designed for seasoned engineers No more error codes! You’ll have to deduce the causes of system failures using everything you’ve learned so far. Good luck!

► New mechanic: You can now throw objects by holding down the button to release them. ► Technical upgrade: Transition to a more recent version of Unity and an enhanced rendering pipeline for even more immersive visuals. ► Fixes and adjustments:

!YOUR ATTENTION, PLEASE! I've had to roll the game back to 1.0.02e because the last update broke the tutorials. I'm on it and will reupdate as soon as it's fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience! 1.0.03c Fixed: - Holes behind airlock (You could see through it) - Missing components in relay station (fast charger) - A few typos - Main Computer can no longer boot if game is paused - Information not being populated properly in the menu when loading a scenario in the scenario editor - Issue forcing some players to reset controls when restarting the game - Update on the character controller (We need feedback from people who experienced jerking motion when moving to know if it has been fixed) Changed: - Progression in ranking (Asteroids now become more aggressive with each cycle of events and are more and more likely to damage unplugged components) We are still hard at work fixing the remaining issues as fast as possible. If your game suffers from regular crashes, or even crashes on startup, we would appreciate it if you could join our Discord to help us fix it. We may have found what the problem is but we need someone who's having the issue to confirm that we have indeed found the way to fix it.

We are officially out of early access with the release of Tin Can 1.0 ! It is said that in space, nobody can hear you scream, and if you are seeking the ultimate thrill we encourage you to check out all our new content! This has been quite an adventure and we are happy to have worked alongside you all. We hope you will enjoy this version of the game as much as we enjoyed making it. As usual do not hesitate to leave us your feedback, reviews and other comments! Since the early access release, we've added the following content: - Second Pod (Relay Station) - New Event - Fire and Leaks - Storage - Rescue Mode - Improved Soundtrack - Scenario Editor - Revamped Medusa Pod - New Physical Interactions - Improved Graphics - Tutorials (4 improved tutorials, now) - Challenges - New Achievements - A Few Easter Eggs ;) - Re-balancing - Lots of Debug and Various Small Improvements - VR is Underway and Available in Alpha We have a lot more in store if things go well so keep an eye open for future announcements!
