Hello everyone.
The New Face update for Three Kingdoms Classic, version 1.3.0, is now available.
The main focus of this update is officer portraits and user-created content.
All officer portraits included with the game have been comprehensively polished, with improvements to character direction, gaze, and on-screen composition. For players who prefer the previous artwork, a Classic Portrait Pack is also available through Steam Workshop.
We have also added a User Content Hub where players can create and manage their own portrait packs or publish them to Steam Workshop. Portrait packs created by other players can be subscribed to and applied in-game, while custom officers can now use up to 200 user-provided portraits.
Steam Deck support has also been substantially expanded. The compact layout has been improved for the Steam Deck’s 1280×800 display, and gamepad and Steam Input controls have been refined across multiple screens. The compact layout originally introduced for Steam Deck is also available on desktop, reducing the space occupied by the UI and allowing more of the map to remain visible.
An in-game editor has also been added, allowing officer stats to be changed during an active campaign. Alongside this, the update introduces officer disposition, troop disbandment, anti-hegemony coalitions, and other strategic features, while improving field battle AI, Lure tactics, famine management, scenarios, maps, saves, replays, and overall performance.
