v0.2.9 — 26 July 2026
Ranked searches no longer die quietly while you wait, leaving a match ends it for your opponent straight away, and you can now cap your frame rate or jump to the community Discord from the menus.
New
- If the ranked queue cannot find a human opponent within 60 seconds, you are now matched against an AI opponent instead of waiting indefinitely. It counts as a full ranked game - the win gold, the rating change and the saved replay all work exactly as they would against a person, and quitting still concedes. This is a temporary measure while the player base grows.
- VIDEO settings now include an FPS Cap, anywhere from 10 to 500 frames per second, or Uncapped. It takes effect immediately and is remembered between sessions. Uncapped stays the default, so nothing changes unless you set it.
- A DISCORD button now sits at the end of the main menu's bottom-right buttons and opens the community server invite in your browser: discord.gg/Ky6PU9fDTQ — if a fullscreen game cannot hand off to your browser, the invite link is copied to your clipboard instead.
Fixes
- The ranked search could quietly die without telling you. If its connection dropped - a brief network blip, a server restart, or a connection that went stale while you left the game sitting - the 'Finding match' panel kept counting up forever, while the server had long since forgotten you were waiting. Nobody could be paired with you, and only cancelling and searching again fixed it. The search now watches its own connection, reconnects by itself when it drops (the panel says RECONNECTING while it works), and if it genuinely cannot get back in it ends the search with a clear message instead of pretending to still be looking.
- Leaving a match left your opponent watching a disconnected marker for up to a minute before the game resolved. Your departure now reaches the server immediately, so the match ends for them right away.
