Right now, our programmers are fixing the bugs you encountered today: occasional typos in subtitles, incorrect display of node descriptions, occasional freezes, and more.
If you experience lag, crashes, or subtitle display issues during your playthrough, please bear with us. You are welcome to report problems via our official QQ group or the Steam Community. We will carefully log every feedback and speed up fixes to live up to your enthusiasm.
We also want to take this chance to talk about how to fully experience this game.
After watching many streams today, we noticed that some players may feel that certain branches are not unlocking smoothly early on.
Our narrative design encourages you to explore different story branches through multiple playthroughs. This is not a simple linear story — it is an intricate web of plots.
If a character seems to hold back their words, or an event feels confusing during your first run, please don’t worry. This often means the key to the truth lies hidden in another timeline.
Regarding feedback about not being able to skip scenes in the second playthrough:
Early on, the story is highly interconnected across chapters. Combined with our heavy use of live-action footage, many side stories are logically nested within the main plot. In our current structure, some side and main story video clips are intertwined, so replaying certain segments is sometimes necessary to unlock new story nodes.
While we cannot yet offer a full “one-click skip” for seen content (as we want to preserve the immersion of your choices), please try manually fast-forwarding by clicking quickly. We are exploring better presentation methods to make multi-run experiences more convenient.
Our original design philosophy was: after making a different choice, you can revisit the story with the knowledge you’ve gained, and truly feel the shift in the characters’ fates — rather than just checking for differences like looking up a dictionary. This immersive multi-playthrough experience is our gift to players who love deep story exploration.
However, since we’ve received a lot of feedback on this, we understand your desire for smoother multi-run exploration. Our team is already discussing more reasonable skip and backtracking systems, aiming to improve the experience without breaking the story’s logic.
The most fascinating part of making an interactive movie game is seeing thousands of players walk completely different paths within the same story.
Some become heroes, some carry blame, some find happiness, some end with regret…
And everything that happens is your choice.

The full-motion interactive narrative game THE VIG Official Version is officially released on Steam at 21:00 on March 5, 2026 (ET) for players worldwide.
The game will present you with an immersive, high-stakes psychological revenge story.
The protagonist, Xie’en, was wrongfully imprisoned for eight years, losing everything he held dear.
Eight years later, under the alias Wu Wei, he infiltrates Yongqiang Group—a business empire built by his once-mentor—with a flawless resume, to carry out an elaborate, layered revenge plan.
Set in the modern business world, capital and power are intertwined, and trust is only a thin line away from betrayal.
But the story is far from simple.
Along the way, he meets many characters:

THE VIG is our studio’s first live-action interactive film game. From the initial concept to the release of the demo, every challenge we faced along the way has become a valuable part of our creative journey.
Since the demo launched on February 13, we have received enthusiastic feedback and valuable suggestions from more than 20 players, along with nearly 100 reviews and expectations on Steam. Every review, every comment, and even every criticism has been carefully read, documented, and discussed by our team. The entire THE VIG team would like to express our deepest gratitude to you all.
Regarding the issues you have reported:
We are aware that some players experienced problems such as audio-video desync, save mechanics for branching choices, and control issues during gameplay.
In particular, the audio-video desync was mainly caused by environmental noise interference in some actors’ on-site recordings. To ensure the final presentation quality, we used post-recording dubbing, which resulted in imperfect lip-sync in certain scenes. We acknowledge this as a shortcoming in our production process, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and patience.
All your feedback and reminders are invaluable assets to our team and important lessons we will carry into future projects. Thank you to every player who chose to spend one or two hours experiencing, reviewing, criticizing, and supporting THE VIG among so many interactive games. We truly take every word to heart.
