Thank you again for your support!
Dear players,
The NOexistenceN of Lilith has received an "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating since launch. Thank you so much for all your love and support!
Regarding the voice acting that many of you have been asking about: full voice acting and Japanese dubbing are both in the works. Full Chinese voice acting will be released by the end of this month, and Japanese voice acting has been fast-tracked for October.
Thank you again for your support!
Dear players,
Version 1.0.1 of The NOexistenceN of Lilith is now live. This update fixes the two most impactful issues — the opening sequence replaying on every launch with progress loss, and saves failing to persist under certain system regional settings — resolves several compatibility conflicts with Wallpaper Engine and fullscreen games, and ships a fully reorganized settings panel. Details below.
1) Fixed: for some players, the opening sequence replayed on every launch and save progress was lost
The duplicate-instance protection did not work correctly in the release build: when the game was launched twice (most commonly "launch at startup" plus a manual Steam launch), two processes wrote to the same save file and corrupted it. The protection has been rewritten (a second instance now exits automatically), and save writing has been hardened — a complete, valid save file is kept on disk at every moment, so power loss or force-killing the process can no longer corrupt saves.
2) Fixed: settings and saves reset on every restart under certain system regional settings
On systems using a comma as the decimal separator (Russian, German, French and others), save serialization produced data that could not be read back, resetting all progress on every launch — including re-naming, lost settings, and playtime achievements not accumulating. All data serialization is now culture-invariant, fixing this completely. Special thanks to the community members who helped track this down.
Saves that were already corrupted cannot be recovered. We sincerely apologize to the players affected by these two issues.
3) Fixed: focus conflicts with Wallpaper Engine, video players and fullscreen games
Clicking Lilith's window used to steal system focus, which made Wallpaper Engine pause the wallpaper, paused video players, and occasionally kicked fullscreen games back to the desktop. The window no longer takes focus, resolving all of the above.
4) Fixed: Lilith briefly floating, and falling without an animation, when a window she stands on is maximized or closed
5) Fixed: dialogue options occasionally not responding to clicks while she is sleeping or lying down
6) Fixed: the head-pat gesture was too sensitive
Dragging and single clicks were easily misread as head rubbing; detection now requires clearly rubbing side to side while holding on her head.
7) Improved: stuttering voice playback; her lines are no longer cut off by action sounds
Voice loading and caching have been reworked; extended dialogue now plays back smoothly. The voice system has also been rebuilt into three independent tracks (dialogue / action vocals / action SFX): this fixes an issue where the first voice line was occasionally skipped when answering options while she was lying down, and her lines can no longer be cut off by getting-up sounds.
8) Fixed: window recognition and standing stability
· Fixed a detection flaw where Lilith could only stand on windows if some window was maximized (special thanks to the player who provided exact reproduction steps);
· Fixed an issue where maximizing the window she was sitting on could squeeze her off-screen into an endless falling loop that even tray recall couldn't stop.
9) Other fixes
· Her hat briefly disappeared while turning around after a walk;
· Her talking expression froze while being dragged;
· The Windows Search panel failed to render when summoned during fullscreen games;
· The fallback voice line for missing recordings no longer repeats the same clip;
· A new eye-rubbing transition plays when she is woken up from sleep, for a more natural motion.
■ Reorganized settings panel
The settings panel (right-click the tray icon → Settings) now has sidebar categories: Controls, Display, Sound, Language, Lilith, and Me.
■ New settings
· Click-through (Controls): single clicks and drags pass through Lilith to the desktop; double-click or right-click still opens the chat panel.
· Auto pass-through in game (Controls): when a game is detected running, Lilith automatically becomes fully click-through and stops intercepting any mouse input; restores automatically when the game exits.
· Show accessories (Lilith): take off or put back her glasses, hats and other accessories at any time.
· Open music folder (Sound): opens the custom music folder (now located under your system Music folder as "Lilith"); drop audio files in and she can play them in game. Files from the old music folder are migrated automatically, and music no longer takes up cloud-save space.
· Play mode (Sound): jukebox music now supports three modes — single loop, sequential loop, and shuffle.
· Music folder location (Sound): point the music folder to any location via a system folder picker.
· "More music" shortcut: when only the built-in track is available, the music menu shows a "More music" entry that opens the folder — and Lilith tells you where the songs go.
· View notes (Me): browse all the notes Lilith has written to you.
■ Miscellaneous
· About 45 seconds after the first launch, a one-time tray notification points new players to the settings entry.
· Performance: the frame rate is now intelligently reduced while idle, significantly lowering CPU usage when she is just keeping you company (especially on macOS); full frame rate resumes when you approach or interact.
· Playtime achievement progress (1/10/100 hours) is now tracked on Steam's servers: it follows your account with a visible progress bar, and is no longer affected by switching computers or save issues. For players previously affected by the save bug, playtime now accumulates in the cloud from your current progress onward.
· This update does not affect healthy saves. You can update directly.
· If you are affected by the opening-replay issue: after updating, please check Task Manager to confirm only one game process is running; your progress will then save correctly.
· Regarding the widely reported multi-monitor issues (secondary-screen positioning, vertically stacked monitors, staying on a secondary screen): improvements are in active development and will arrive together in the next update.
Thank you for your support and feedback.

Thank you to everyone who brought Lilith to their desktop tonight. Here are answers to the most common questions, plus what we're already working on.
Quick tips
• Open Settings:
• Resize Lilith:
• She's blocking your clicks? Drag her elsewhere, or adjust her position and behavior in Settings
• She disappeared (can happen with multiple monitors): use "Call Lilith" to bring her back
• Hat or accessories missing: use "Restore Entitlements"
About voice: the current version is partially voiced — some lines have voice, others don't yet. This is expected, not a bug.
About the sleepwear outfit: it's not missing — Lilith changes into it at bedtime. Check on her when it's late.
Known issues (fixes coming in v1.0.1)
• Interacting with Lilith may pause Wallpaper Engine animated wallpapers
• Lilith may briefly float in the air when a window is maximized
• Choices while she's curled up occasionally don't apply
• Settings could be easier to find — clearer guidance is on the way
Spotted something else? Reply here or post in the discussions — we read everything. Thank you again, and may she keep you good company.
1.Fixed an issue where the small icon could not be switched out of the settings interface after adjusting the default position multiple times in the settings screen
2.Improved localization display

A: Windows and macOS. One purchase works on both platforms.
Q2: When will Linux be supported?
A: Once official testing is complete — expected around September 2026. (This date is not guaranteed~)
As for compatibility when running the Windows version through Proton, we are still looking into it and cannot give a definitive answer yet — we will let you know as soon as we have a conclusion.
Q3: Which languages are supported?
A: Text is currently available in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, and Japanese. Voice-over is currently in Chinese.
Q4: When will the Japanese voice-over be available?
A: Japanese voice-over will be added in a future update, expected around December 2026. Please note this date is not guaranteed — thank you for your understanding!
Q5: What about localization for other languages?
A: Localization for other languages is being continuously updated. If you would like to volunteer as a translator, please send your translation résumé to [email protected] — we truly appreciate it!
Q6: Will Steam Workshop be supported?
A: Steam Workshop is not supported for now, as we currently lack the manpower to review community content. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we will let you know right away if this changes in the future.
Q7: How can I report bugs or share feedback and suggestions?
A: Please email us at [email protected]. We read every message carefully.
Q8: Can Lilith move across multiple monitors?
A: Yes! The game stays on a single monitor by default; you can enable multi-monitor mode in the settings. (Due to platform feature differences, multi-monitor mode is not yet supported on macOS — thank you for your understanding!)
Q9: Where are my save files stored?
A: Save files are not in the game's installation folder, so uninstalling or updating the game will not affect them. Locations:
• Windows: C:\\Users\\\\AppData\\LocalLow\\Nino\\Lilith
• macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Nino/Lilith
To migrate to a new computer, simply copy this entire folder over.
Q10: I pre-ordered on Modian — how do I activate my Steam key and get the Strawberry Cake Hat?
A: First, check your Modian order details / direct messages for your Steam key and hat redemption code, then:
1. Open the Steam client, click "Add a Game" in the bottom-left corner → "Activate a Product on Steam...", and enter your Steam key to add the game to your library;
2. Launch the game, right-click the icon to open the menu → "Online" → "Redeem", and enter your hat redemption code. Lilith will then put on the Strawberry Cake Hat!
If you later switch to a new computer or clear your save data, simply restore your entitlements from the same menu — the hat will not be lost.
If you have not received your Steam key or redemption code, please contact us via the customer service email above.
Q11: As a crowdfunding backer, how do I find my name in the backer list?
A: Right-click the icon and choose "Credits" to open the credits screen, then scroll down to the "Crowdfunding Backers" section to find your name. Once again, thank you to every backer!
Lastly, we wish you and Lilith many happy days together~
