Thank you very much for your support of The Last Salvage Squad. If you encounter any bugs or have any concerns while playing the game, Please post them on the bulletin board.
We hope you continue to enjoy the game!
Thank you for your patience. “The Last Salvae Squad” is now available!
We will continue to work on improvements so that you can enjoy the game long after its release. If you discover any bugs or issues, please take a moment to report them on the message board.
And, We will continue to address bugs and make balance adjustments through future updates. We are also considering additional features to make the game even more enjoyable.
As one example, we’d like to announce “Arcade Mode” (tentative title). Aiming to provide a gameplay experience that lets you fully savor the action elements of this title, we are planning to add a mode that focuses on the satisfying feel of FPS firefights and arcade-style gameplay progression.
Restrictions on various equipment and other elements encountered during the main story missions will be lifted, allowing you to clear a series of missions under a more flexible, custom resource management system as you work toward completing the final mission. You could say this mode places greater emphasis on the “boomer shooter” elements.
We have other modes in the works as well, but for now, please enjoy the main game to your heart’s content!
Also, if you have a moment, we’d appreciate it if you could leave a review. Thank you very much!
We have some exciting news for everyone.
The release date for The Last Salvage Squad has been set for June 18 (JST)!
The price is expected to be 9.99 USD, etc.
In related news, we’ve updated The demo version currently available. While the playable stages remain the same, We’ve fixed bugs and made the game more enjoyable to play. Be sure to give it a try before the full game launches.
The Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 versions of *The Last Salvage Squad* are now complete! We are now finalizing the release date.
The game has passed Steam reviews! It's what you'd call “Gone gold”!
That said, the most crucial work for game completion—balance adjustments and bug fixes—begins now as we head toward the game's release.
Have you already played the demo version of this game?
The full version, scheduled for release this spring, implements the following additional elements beyond the demo's content:
・Vending machines now offer an expanded lineup of sub-weapons and additional features!
・More weapons added, including shotguns and rocket launchers!
・You can now select your weapons before starting each mission
The lineup of sub-weapons and additional functions available from vending machines will expand as you progress through the stages.
Prepare for battle by equipping gear suited to the stage, within your cost limit! Also added in the full game is lock-on aim assist, an auxiliary feature that allows even FPS beginners to accurately target enemies with their aim. New players can relax—we've revised each stage to deliver more challenging combat. Essential weapons like shotguns and rocket launchers have been added. Shotguns pack less punch per shot but reload faster than rifles, making them surprisingly versatile. A must-have for those who love fast-paced close combat. The rocket launcher is pure justice. Unleash it on hordes of enemies.
If you possess multiple weapons, you can now select which weapon to use before embarking on a mission. Note that you cannot swap weapons once you enter a stage! (Some exceptions apply).
Featuring 25 missions packed with diverse combat scenarios and engaging story content, ‘The Last Salvage Squad’ is being refined daily by creator Sunfish Kumano with numerous tweaks and bug fixes to enhance the game's polish.
If you're interested in this title, please show your support by adding it to your wishlist or playing The demo version!
Starting around 9 PM to 10 PM Japan time on February 26th, game streamer Riko Oga will be doing a live playthrough of ‘The Last Salvage Squad’ demo. You can watch it on YouTube as well as the Steam page. If you've got some free time, come check it out!
The test stream for the live gameplay broadcast has ended.
Look forward to the main broadcast on the 26th!
The demo version of The Last Salvage Squad has been updated, and sub-weapons are now unlocked! Various other elements have also been updated, so please be sure to read this post.
A vending machine-like device has been placed in the Cogrina Unit's secret base.
Using this machine, you can collect resource chips (gear-shaped items) obtained by defeating enemies during stages.
This allows you to implement a variety of sub-weapons and additional functions.
Sub-weapons can be equipped after unlocking. However, there is a cost cap; in this screenshot, the cap is 600. Therefore, equipping all three—HoloDecoy, AddBooster, and StickyBomb—will max out the cap.
Furthermore, with the addition of systems like sub-weapons, the mechanics for increasing Cogrina Unit lives have been significantly changed.
The new system allows you to use Resource Chips at vending machines to increase your lives. In Normal Mode, upgrades purchased at vending machines are permanent. In Hard Mode, if you are defeated, your lives will decrease for the next sortie, but you can repurchase them.
Note: The Arena stage included in the demo version cannot be cleared, meaning Resource Chips cannot be retrieved. However, due to the stage's layout, large quantities of chips accumulate. Therefore, this stage comes standard with an effect that slightly restores health when collecting Resource Items.
Collect Resource Chips to enhance allies (lives), weapons, and functions—making the gameplay more fitting for the name ‘The Last Salvage Squad’!
Sub-weapons can be used with the R button (or G key). They are used in the order they were equipped and cannot be selected. Enhancements like jump boost or armor reinforcement take effect simply by equipping them. You only carry one of each sub-weapon. There's no space to carry more than that! Other updates included in this release are as follows.
【Update Details】
・Removed the system where picking up Resource Chips increased extra lives
・Updated the tutorial to reflect the new Resource Chip collection system and the addition of sub-weapons
・Clear times are now measured for each difficulty level on all stages. These can be checked on the Mission Select screen.
・Adjusted difficulty levels (Easy and Hard only. Normal remains unchanged.)
・Fixed key binding bugs
(Previously, you could partially change key bindings using a game controller. We've adjusted this so you can no longer change the keyboard bindings menu using a game controller.)
・Renamed “InputBinding” to “Keyboard Bindings”
・Updated settings within “Input” under GamepadProfiles
・Changed the initial amount of money held upon first launch/save data reset
・Various other minor bug fixes and adjustments
The Last Salvage Squad is currently in development towards its full version completion. Please play The demo version and prepare for the story and battles ahead!
Hello.
The chance to experience this game on your PC is almost here!
The Last Salvage Squad demo is scheduled for release around February 12th.
This demo supports English, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), allowing you to play through the first three stages and one stage featuring an intense battle royale—a total of four stages—before the full game's release.
If you have any thoughts about the game or encounter any bugs, Please share them on the message board!
Hello. I'll be introducing weapons featured in this game on an irregular basis. First up: the sniper rifle!
The sniper rifle featured in 『The Last Salvage SQUAD』 has a 5-round magazine capacity. While hip-firing is possible, its damage output is limited. To unleash its maximum power, you must properly aim through the scope and wait for the power to charge. As shown in the video, it's an overwhelmingly advantageous weapon on stages where enemies advance, but it may not be suitable for stages where close-quarters combat is expected. Choose carefully on stages where you can select your weapons!
This is not a progress report on game development, But I captured some video footage using the demo version currently under development for exhibition purposes. :)
We hope you enjoy the intense battles against attacking aliens and the fierce fighting of the unusually strong "sister unit-chan" (tentative name) in the video!
The Last Salvage SQUAD is currently in production for release in 2025. Please add it to your wish list and stay tuned!
