Since the last update, the game can now be paused during dialogues, and we’d like to clarify how it works.
Time of day stops, and new customers won't arrive. However, customers who have already appeared in the location will continue their current actions. They may reach their destination or finish being served at automated services. During this time, you may still see notifications (such as income updates). Very soon, you’ll arrive at your own little gas station, tucked away far from city life – a quiet place where days pass slowly and every small task feels just right.
Serve customers, restock shelves, clean up, and take care of your station at your own pace. Grow your business, upgrade buildings, unlock new areas, and turn this forgotten stop into a place people love to visit.
You’ll discover new locations and mini-games, meet charming (and sometimes a little weird) characters, decorate your station, and sell souvenirs to passing travelers. And when the day fades into night, the world around you might start to feel just a bit different.
Something strange lingers here. Something you’ll have to uncover on your own on April 28!
Hey travellers,
We wanted to share some WIP and give you a behind-the-scenes look at what we’ve been working on lately. Some things are already taking shape, others are still in progress but all of them are slowly becoming part of The Last Gas Station.
If you’ve played the demo, you probably spotted those abandoned buildings and thought: "okay… what’s this place?" Well, we can finally tell you.
As your station grows and becomes more popular, you’ll unlock the ability to restore the old car repair building and bring it back to life turning it into a place where you can service and repair cars. It will also bring new mini-games — from tire inflation and scratch polishing to oil refills and battery checks.
Scratch polishing mini-game:
Let’s take the car wash as an example. At first, it’s just a worn-down, forgotten building…
But as your business grows, you’ll be able to restore it and later upgrade it into something much more useful (and a lot better looking).
We’re also working on different visual variations for buildings. For example, here are a few versions of the main station 2 lvl:
We’re actively working on new locations around the station. Here’s one of them — any guesses who might be creating all these tire sculptures deep in the woods?
We’ve been adding a lot of new decorative elements to make the station feel more alive — both inside and outside. Here are just a couple of them:
Not everything we’re working on is easy to explain. Some things are better discovered on your own… so we’ll keep them a secret for now. Trust us — they’re worth it. But here’s a small glimpse:
Development is moving forward step by step, and we can’t wait to show you more soon.
One more thing – we’ve updated the game's key art! What do you think about the new version? Let us know in the comments 👀
By the way, we’ve shared some of these WIP bits on the game's X profile already, so if you want to be among the first to see what we’re working on, feel free to follow us there 👀

Hey there, travelers!
The old gas station at the edge of the road is finally awake. The floors are freshly swept, the shelves are stocked (mostly), and there’s a soft hum in the air — like something slightly unusual is keeping an eye on the place after dark. This is your chance to step inside early, take things slow, and experience life at a quiet roadside station in a world that has almost moved on without it.
During the playtest, you’ll get to take care of a small roadside gas station at your own pace – tidying up the shop, welcoming travelers, stocking shelves, and fueling passing cars. Your daily routine is filled with cozy mini-games, light management, and gentle customization, letting you slowly turn the station into a place that truly feels like your own.
This playtest represents an early version of the game, so you might notice a few creaky floorboards or rough edges here and there.
At this stage, you may encounter the following limitations and issues:
Saving and settings are not available yet
You may occasionally run into text or visual glitches
Controller support is still being polished and may have issues
Some audio bugs can occur
Parts of the tutorial may feel rough or unfinished
Thank you for your understanding - your feedback helps us improve the game 💛
Join the playtest, slow down, take it easy, and enjoy the calm rhythm of running your tiny business
We’re opening sign-ups for the The Last Gas Station playtest! ⛽️
The playtest itself will be available later this year or early next year, but you can already add your name to the cozy little list.
If you enjoy warm summer light, slow days in quiet places, friendly animal neighbors, and a sprinkle of nighttime mystery, we’d be so happy to have you join us on this early journey✨
💌 And if you’d like to stay close to the heart of the project, follow The Last Gas Station on X — that’s where we gently share work-in-progress bits, tiny peeks behind the scenes, and small stories from around the station.
