Virtual Open World: The taskbar icon will now automatically appear when pressing Alt + Tab, making it much easier to switch between windows!

Background Music: Added in-game background music, generously provided by our amazing fans! More BGM and sound effects will be added in future updates.
Music Player: The music player is now available under the \ sub-menu. It supports adding and playing your own local music files!
Mute Toggle: A quick mute button has been added to the top quick-access bar on the main menu. You can now toggle all in-game music and sound effects on/off with a single click.

Check-in UI: The daily check-in feature has been moved to the top quick-access bar on the main menu.
Camera Effects: Optimized the camera visual effects when interacting with all seats in the Virtual Open World.
Seat Controls: Fixed an issue where players couldn't stand up from a seat using WASD keys in the Virtual Open World.
World Environment: Added preliminary dynamic effects to trees in the Virtual Open World.

Virtual Open World: The first-person scene (temporarily named "Virtual Open World") has been updated with optimized buildings, greenery, and supporting facilities.
Test NPCs: Added test NPCs in the Virtual Open World (currently located in the cafe).
Character Interaction: Added character interactions in the Virtual Open World, such as sitting on chairs (currently undergoing continuous adjustments and optimizations).
Shop Update: Added categories to the in-game shop to prepare for the upcoming release of more item types.

First-Person World: The first-person world scene is currently undergoing continuous updates!
New Features:
Daily Check-in Event: A new check-in event is now available! You can find the "Calendar" icon with a checkmark right next to the close button on the main menu. This is Phase 1 of the event, lasting for 30 days (please refer to the in-game announcement for the exact schedule). Check the interface for more details!
New Accessories: Added Pink-Purple Dew, Pink Playful Ahoge, Monochrome Plaid Headband, Pink Fluffy Meow Ears, and Graceful Meow Tail.
New Outfits: Added Source Realm Walker, Pure White First Love, and Extinction Black Lotus.
Special Desktop Scene Action: Added a new special action, "An Unexpected Sailing Surprise"! You can purchase it via the in-game store bundle.
First-Person Scene Update (Beta): The first-person scene has been updated and is currently in testing. We sincerely invite players to experience it and witness its development together! We will be updating the scene daily and welcome all your valuable feedback. (Note: The entrance is located at the top of the main menu, represented by a "Little House" icon.)
Optimizations & Bug Fixes:
Outfit Color Variants: Outfits of the same style but different colors are now merged in the dress-up interface. You can click the color swatch in the top-left corner of the outfit to switch colors.
Special Action Indicator: Outfits with special action effects will now display an "ACT" tag in the top-right corner of the outfit interface.
Store Display: Fixed an outfit display error in the shop. The currently listed swimwear outfit is: Azure Sea.
Store Items: Optimized item names in the shop by adding ID tags and adjusted prices downward.
Action UI: Optimized and updated the layout of the action configuration interface.

Optimizations & Bug Fixes:
System Tray: You can now double-click the game's icon in the system tray to bring Zena back if she was accidentally hidden.
Entrance Animations: Entrance intro animations now play correctly. (Note: You must own the corresponding action to use it.)
Item Stacking: Items in the inventory can now stack and display normally. (This specifically fixes the issue where items removed from the Steam Community Market were not merging properly.)

Action UI: The action configuration sub-menu will no longer close unexpectedly.
Crafting UI: Fixed an issue where the red notification dot displayed abnormally in the crafting interface after collecting all outfit fragments for a set.

Affection System: A new Affection System is now available! You can find it under Bonds | Rewards on the main menu. Players can gift affection items obtained from the gacha to Zena to receive exclusive rewards. Please refer to the detailed instructions within the interface for more info.
Dynamic Responses: Zena will now give unique verbal and visual responses based on the specific gifts you give her!
Community Market: Players can now freely trade gacha-obtained outfits on the Steam Community Market.

Item Count UI: Fixed and optimized the display of item quantities across the game.
Item Display: Resolved an issue where certain items were failing to appear in the inventory interface.
Batch Usage: You can now use items in bulk for a smoother experience!
Crafting UI: Fixed a display error for certain outfits in the clothing synthesis/crafting interface.
Coming Soon (Next Update):
First-Person Interaction: First-person interactive scenes are coming! In Phase 1, you will be able to freely explore the outer streets of the city.
Daily Check-in: The check-in system is still in testing. More exclusive outfits are currently in production, so stay tuned!
Shop Expansion: The in-game shop will feature new outfits and items purchasable with in-game currency.
Special Animations: High-rarity outfits will feature unique idle animations or entrance effects, which will be applied automatically upon acquisition.
Free Camera Mode (Desktop Pet): We are developing a free mode for the desktop pet, allowing you to freely zoom in/out and observe Zena from any angle.
New Desktop Pet Gameplay: More desktop pet features are in the works, such as autonomous idle actions that allow the pet to earn rewards for you!

Quick Top-Up Button: Added a button next to the in-game currency display on the main menu and gacha screens. Players can now click it to quickly jump to the Steam store to top up their balance!
Dev Roadmap & Previews: Added a "Version Preview" section to the in-game announcements. Players can now check out upcoming content and learn about our future plans for the game's gameplay and features.

Action UI: Fixed an issue where unowned actions were displaying as transparent in all action sub-menus.
Item Details UI: Moved all item detail panels to the side of the in-game menu to prevent them from blocking other important UI elements.
Outfit Rendering: Fixed an issue where the masking on certain outfits was incomplete under specific conditions.
Facial Expressions: Added missing facial expressions to a few specific action animations.
Adjusted the display position of certain elements in the main menu.

Cloud Save: Fixed cloud save issues. Players can now properly save their favorite outfits, and outfit configurations will no longer be lost.
Action UI: Resolved a display error that occurred when deleting an action while configuring them in the action menu.
Action List: All sub-menus in the action interface are now displaying correctly. Unlocked actions will appear grayed out.
Action Animations: Fixed an issue where some action animations were not fully rendered.
Announcement: Corrected the display error regarding gacha/lottery drop rates in the in-game announcements.
Store Pricing: Fixed an abnormal pricing issue in the shop. Players can now purchase items normally again!

Manual Resource Refresh: Added a new feature allowing you to manually refresh in-game resources.
In-Game Guide: A comprehensive guide is now available, featuring detailed explanations and tutorials for all in-game modules.
In-Game Store: Browse currently available items, including outfits and in-game currency. Simply click on an item's image to be redirected directly to the Steam store for purchase!
Optimizations & Bug Fixes:
Drop Rate Boost: Significantly increased the drop rate for outfit items in the gacha/lottery system. Please refer to the game description on the Steam store page for exact probabilities.
Desktop Pet Fix: Resolved issues with the desktop pet "Always on Top" feature.
Zena's Hands: Fixed a model display error on Zena's hands.
Zena's Expressions: Fixed abnormal display issues with all of Zena's expressions.

Daily Check-in (Testing): A check-in system is currently in testing. Players who check in consecutively will earn exclusive outfits and more surprises!
Affection System (Testing): You can gift affection items from the gacha system to Zena. Reaching specific affection milestones will unlock free outfits!

Outfit Memory The game now remembers Zena’s outfit from your last session—no need to re-dress her every time!
Online Economy & Gacha System (Coming Soon) Implemented the core logic for earning coins online and the gacha (draw) system. These features will go live directly in the next Early Access update!

Improved Item Categorization The inventory interface has been reorganized into clearer categories for better readability.
Fixed Clipping Issues Resolved clothing clipping problems that occurred under specific conditions.
Enhanced Eye Rendering Optimized the visual quality of Zena’s eyes for a more lifelike appearance.
Skirt Physics Refined (WIP) Adjusted how skirts behave in sitting poses. (This is still a work-in-progress and subject to further tweaks.)
“Bond & Rewards” Preview Added placeholder tabs for Gacha (Draw) and Affection systems within the Bond & Rewards menu. → These sections are currently for testing purposes only—buttons are non-functional, and core mechanics are still under active development.
New Content in Testing Created 5 full outfit sets and several individual clothing pieces, along with over 20 new character animations. All of these assets are now in the game and undergoing testing and refinement.
Chat Bubble Stability Fixed an odd bug that occasionally caused dialogue bubbles to appear too frequently.
Window Detection Improved Resolved most cases where Zena would incorrectly “sit in mid-air” due to hidden windows being misidentified. ⚠️ However, this issue may still occur with certain third-party applications, as it’s impossible to test every program on the market. If you encounter this, please let us know!
Accidental Action Prevention Added confirmation pop-ups for select sensitive actions to prevent unintended operations.
Language Localization Added The game now supports both Chinese and English! You can switch between languages anytime in the Settings menu.
“Outfits & Expressions” System A new “Outfits & Expressions” panel has been added, where you can view and customize Zena’s current clothing and animations.
“Bond & Rewards” Hub Introduced a “Bond & Rewards” section to lay the groundwork for future updates—including gacha-style draws and an affection (favorability) system.
Visual Refresh Zena now features updated hair and a new idle animation, making her overall appearance more natural and expressive.
UI Overhaul Redesigned the entire in-game menu interface and improved the visual style of dialogue bubbles.
Outfit Transition Polish Enhanced how Zena appears during outfit changes across all states (e.g., sitting, standing, perching) for smoother visual continuity.
Item Rarity Indicators All collectible items and props now display their rarity tier clearly.
Clearer Hotkey Labels Keyboard shortcut hints in the Settings menu have been made more visible and intuitive.
Menu Interaction Fix Resolved an issue where moving Zena would behave unexpectedly when the menu overlapped her character.
Announcement Menu Bug Fixed Fixed a bug that caused the announcement menu to be unresponsive when clicked.
Outfit Testing – Socks Edition! In the Preferences > Outfits menu, we’ve rolled out an early version of the outfit system for community testing! For now, you can choose whether Zena wears socks: → Click the sock icon on the right to put them on. → Click the equipped sock slot on the left to take them off. Give it a try and let us know what you think!
Inventory Visibility The Items menu now correctly displays all items currently in your inventory.
Announcement System Added A new in-game announcement feature has been implemented to keep you updated on news and events.
Cloud Save Support (Beta) Cloud saving is now available—but please note it may still have occasional issues as we fine-tune the system.
Foot Visual Refinement We’ve continued improving Zena’s foot rendering—her feet now appear smaller and more aesthetically pleasing from the front view.
Taskbar Icon Toggle Fixed The “Show Taskbar Icon” option in Settings now correctly reflects its enabled/disabled state.
Text Corrections Fixed minor typos and wording errors in several menu entries.
Movable Menu The main menu is now draggable, allowing you to place it anywhere on your screen for better convenience.
Redesigned Scaling Slider The zoom function in the settings menu has been updated to a horizontal slider, enabling smoother and more precise size adjustments.
Footwork Update We've tweaked the visual effects of Zena's feet. For now, her shoes and socks have been temporarily removed to pave the way for the upcoming outfit customization system.
Idle Pose Refinement Made minor adjustments to her default standing idle animation to make it look more natural.
Interaction Logic To prevent operation conflicts, you can no longer adjust Zena's position or size while the menu is open.
Chat Bubble Frequency Significantly reduced how often the dialogue bubble appears above Zena's head.
UI Polish Optimized the display effects of several menu elements for a cleaner look.
New Features
Categorized "Preferences" System We've organized the "Preferences" feature into two distinct sections: "Outfits" and "Animations". You can now view your currently equipped looks and actions directly within these respective interfaces.
Taskbar Perch Zena can now sit comfortably on your taskbar!
Added Dialogue Bubble A chat bubble has been added to the side of Zena's head, paving the way for future feature expansions.
Optimizations & Fixes
Eye Health Update Following her treatment for strabismus (crossed eyes), the frequent blinking symptom Zena experienced during her recovery period has been alleviated in this version. She is now mostly back to her healthy self!
UI Fixes Fixed several menu display issues.
Added a “Preferences” menu option for the desktop pet—laying the groundwork for quick outfit and animation customization in future updates.
Zena now hides and reappears along with other desktop applications when you press Windows + D.
Press Left Ctrl + ` clicking on Zena to instantly minimize her to the system tray.
Right-click the Zena icon in the system tray and select “Show Desktop Pet” to bring her back onto your desktop.
You can now use the mouse scroll wheel to adjust Zena’s size while she’s peeking from the left or right edge of your screen.
We recently took Zena to the eye clinic—and we’re happy to report her squinting issue during exit animations has been mostly resolved! 👁️✨
Zena's Departure Animation: Zena now has a farewell animation! Please, let her stay by your side a little longer each day; she really hates to leave you.
Easy Positioning: When Zena peeks out from the left or right sides of your screen, you can now directly slide her up or down to adjust her position.
One-click Scaling: A one-click zoom function has been added to the Menu -> Settings.
Taskbar Icon Option: You can now choose whether or not to display the desktop pet icon in the taskbar via the settings.
Always Interactive: The desktop pet is now interactive regardless of whether the menu is open or not.
Menu Behavior: After closing the menu (no matter which submenu layer you were on), it will now default to reopening at the main menu.
Bug Fix: Fixed a rare issue where scrolling the mouse wheel while browsing webpages would inadvertently zoom the desktop pet.
Added a “Hide to System Tray” option, allowing you to minimize Zena to the taskbar.
Gave Zena cozy socks for the winter—her feet were getting cold! ❄️🧦
