Full Steam announcements and update articles for this title.
Hi everybody.
I'm very pleased to announce that a demo for our new game Thorner will be released on 30 July. It's a 10-15 minutes slice of suspense that will act as a preview of the terror that awaits you in the main game. There are three endings in total.
To celebrate, we've released a trailer for the demo which can be viewed below.
We’re very pleased to share that our new game Thorner, a horror visual novel is now available to Wishlist.
Thorner is a dark, disturbing visual novel featuring three possible endings.
You are Colin Snead, a military veteran. Haunted by your time in the service, you flee to the Scottish wilderness attempting to escape your past. However, you will find that spilled blood is not easily forgiven, and you are not alone. The land knows what you did. The land judges. Thorner awaits.
We’d like to thank everyone for their incredible support with The Flayed Man, it's been a long road and we’re excited to finally share Thorner with you. If you’d like to help us out, please consider sharing the game on your socials, telling friends and family, posting on Bluesky or Twitter, or tagging your favourite content creators or media outlets, or covering it on your own channels
You can find the press kit here.
Oh and to celebrate we're permanently lowering the price of The Flayed Man.

It's been a little over 4 months since we released The Flayed Man and if you've followed our updates, you know it was a bumpy ride. The move to a paid model from free was a tough decision, but ultimately it's one that's paid off, because we have now raised enough funds to make our next game. I'm very pleased to share with you the Steam Capsule Art below:
Thorner is going to be a horror visual novel and we're looking forward to sharing updates with you as we progress. Lucio has returned to complete the UI and Rafael will be completing both the steam capsule and in-game illustrations. The aim is for the Steam Page to be available in Q1, with the game to be released towards the tail end of 2026.
I've shared more details on the inspirations for the game on our discord and mailing list, and I look forward to be able to share the formal announcement and trailer for the game with you next year.
Oh and to celebrate, we're offering The Flayed Man for 35% off this weekend.
Hi everybody. It's now been roughly six weeks since The Flayed Man changed from free to a paid model and I wanted to share an update with you all on the impact this has had and the future of Snoring Dog Games.
Before I do, I'd like to bring to your attention that The Flayed Man is now 35% off as part of the Steam Sale, including the Give Me Your Skin Bundle. If you haven't already grabbed a copy or would like to gift a copy to a friend, make sure to do so now!
As per my last message, sales of The Supporter Pack were low and so the move to a paid model was an attempt to raise the funds to make another game. I'm very pleased to say we are now 75% of the way there, and it looks very likely another game will be coming your way.
We had previously shared some of the games we would like to make. However, we're still nowhere near the level of funds we'd need to make these a reality at this point. Instead, our next will be a visual novel horror roughly 90 minutes to 120 minutes long. The plan is for this to feature the same art style many of you loved along some really weird, unique imagery and thematic points you probably wouldn't have seen in other games. It's much more along the lines of Slay The Princess, Milk Inside A Bag of Milk and other such games than a traditional VN.
I'm going to put everything I have into the story and the game, and we will be aiming for a 2026 release for this. I'll still be paying the accountant out of my own pocket, so all funds raised from The Flayed Man will be going into paying the artists for the game.
When I say we're at 75%, this is for what I would consider the bare minimum we need to bring the game to life. We can probably still make the game with current funds but we are reliant on your continued support to bring our full vision to life. If we can exceed the 25%, that will allow us to expand and make the game even better.
That's why I'm asking you to help make this a reality. Things you can do:
Buy a copy of the game or Give Me Your Skin Bundle for yourself or a gift to friends.
Share the game on social media or tell your friends and family about it.
Leave a review on the Steam page if you enjoyed it.
Any of these actions will be a great help and much appreciated. I'm hoping our next message will be to confirm we reach our target.
Special Thanks To Our Turkish Fans
Inexplicably our game caught on in Türkiye, and roughly 70% of all sales has been from you. I want to give you all a special Teşekkürler for helping to ensure we will be able to make another game. I would love to have The Flayed Man and our next game translated, but again this relies on funds. If you'd like to make this a reality, then please help us by doing any of the actions above so we can do so.
Lastly, I would also like to offer all of my future games on a special once a year heavy discount on a special day in Türkiye. Republic Day falls into Halloween sales, so if you're a Turkish fan, please let me know a different special day in Türkiye that would be best.
I'm also very grateful to all our fans worldwide who make up the other 30%, you've really helped us and we hope to repay you with another great game.
Our next update will be after the Summer Sale, I hope we will be able to share some positive news and a teaser for our next game then.
