Hi, thank you all for your supports!
And, I should mention it again:
If someone may experience an issue where the black background cannot be removed.
To resolve this,
1) navigate to the Steam installation directory of the game, locate the DreamGlobe.exe file,
2) right-click on it, select Properties → Compatibility → Disable full-screen optimizations. This should allow the game to run properly.
Hello everyone, the community items for the game are now available, including six collectible cards, six exclusive Globe emotes, three backgrounds, and various level badges. After being online for a period of time, trading cards can be dropped. Once all six cards are collected, they can be crafted into a badge, while exclusive emotes and backgrounds will also drop simultaneously.
Here are the minor updates to the game content:
Quests will now be sorted by region.
Chickens in the coop will be sorted first by gender (male/female), then by value. An extra warning message will no longer appear every time when manually selling chickens.
The bread / fishing mini-games now only respond to mouse clicks within the mini-game interface. Clicking elsewhere will no longer end the game.
Fixed the sorting of certain items in the lesser altar—they are now strictly sorted by rarity.
And, I should mention it again:
After the update, if some Windows 11 platforms may experience an issue where the black background cannot be removed. This is caused by certain incompatible automatic optimizations in Windows 11. To resolve this,
1) navigate to the Steam installation directory of the game, locate the DreamGlobe.exe file,
2) right-click on it, select Properties → Compatibility → Disable full-screen optimizations. This should allow the game to run properly.
1.A hunting icon has been added to the forest scene, which appears when the miner goes out hunting.
2.The hover sound effect when moving the mouse over scene items has been categorized under working sounds and can be turned off.
3.The clickable berries in the mud water of the marsh scene has been changed to an eye-catching blue color.

The game will be participating in the Steam Winter Sale, starting in just a few hours. If you're interested in purchasing it, I recommend waiting until the sale begins.
1.If quest items are locked, the game will automatically search among unlocked items. If only locked items meet the conditions, a corresponding prompt will now be displayed in the quest items section.
2.In the four scenarios, after the decoration level reaches level 2, items such as treasure chests or golden mushrooms that appear will provide a small number of offering points.

1.When the option window is opened, the game will pause and then resume once it is closed.
2.After the Exp level exceeds 100, higher levels will provide a bonus to money acquisition, with the maximum level increasing it by approximately 30%.

An option has been added: a switch for High Frame Rate Mode. The game runs by default in Low Frame Rate Mode, which has lower overhead. Enabling this switch can increase the frame rate but will also result in greater CPU and GPU overhead.

A major update is released with the following key contents:
Introduced the fourth scenario: Marsh. Added two major categories with dozens of new collectibles and new achievements.
Updated the Shop with new items available for purchase.
Added a new pet in the Snowfield scenario: Penguins. They can be purchased directly from the Shop and will occasionally help with fishing.
Introduced the Pray Mechanic. After purchasing the corresponding Shop unlock, players can pray to increase production rates or change the weather.
The maximum decoration level for all scenes has been increased to Level 3. Upon reaching Level 3, the corresponding Seasonal Blessing can be activated.
Tasks can now be refreshed by spending money, with the cost increasing each time.
Detailed explanations of these contents will be added to the Guide I put on the community forum. And, I should mention it again:

In mini games like baking bread, the quality of items will now be displayed based on your collection progress. If you have already collected an item of that quality, it will appear in gold; otherwise, it will be silver.
The number of clicks required to collect certain items in the scene has now been reduced.

When the EXP level reaches 50, 60, and 70 or above, and the corresponding production facilities have been upgraded, lesser altars will appear next to the chicken coop, vegetable garden, and brewery hut. After using offering points to pray, there is a chance to successfully designate the next product to produce.
(I hope this update will help players who are stuck in their collection progress.)Hello everyone! The game has been released for a week now, and many of you have purchased and played it, offering both encouragement and feedback. Thank you all for that.
During this time, I’ve made some minor adjustments based on your suggestions, but there are still larger aspects I’d like to improve:Limited Game Scenes I plan to spend some time adding a new scene to the game, along with corresponding resources and collectibles, to enhance its richness. This will be my main focus moving forward.
Lack of Late-Game Mechanics Experience levels, offering points, and money tend to lose their significance in the late game after early accumulation. I aim to introduce mechanics to utilize these resources, which will not only enrich the gameplay and reduce repetitiveness but also address the issue of some players getting stuck with collection progress—specifically, the frustration of repeatedly failing to obtain certain items.
Adding Interactive Elements to the Map Depending on practical circumstances, I’ll try to incorporate more interactive objects and events into existing and future maps. For example, adding pets to snowy scenes.
These are my preliminary update plans. Even though this is a small game project, I still want it to exist in the most polished form possible, no matter how many people end up playing it.I aim to introduce the main content mentioned above via a free update by the end of the year—no DLCs. Stay tuned! After the update, some Windows 11 platforms may experience an issue where the black background cannot be removed. When buying and selling items, the scroll bar will no longer reset to the top but will remain at the current position.
Adjusted the transparency effect for the spherical parts.
The sound effects for puppies, babies, and children have been categorized as work sound effects and can be turned off collectively.
Some other minor bugs.
Add a feature where using the scroll wheel while hovering over the sphere base allows direct scaling.
Add a feature to adjust the transparency of the spherical part (the adjustment may not be very convenient, but it's better than nothing).
Some other minor bugs.
After having a baby, continuing to submit quests will grant some monetary rewards and increase the collection level of this item. Previously, it only increased the collection level without providing money.
When baking bread and brewing alcohol, a progress indicator will display how much time is left for the current product to be completed.
Adjusted some mechanics of the chicken coop. Upgrading farming tools will now affect the egg-laying speed of the chicken coop. With four hens, the highest-level farming tools can increase egg production efficiency by 200%. The quality and rarity of hens and roosters still do not affect this metric (Selecting chickens in the coop is a bit troublesome, let's simplify it...).
Some other minor bugs.
Adjusted the product value and the numerical values of the coin animation effects under the money increase buff. In the previous version, the money increase under that buff was calculated correctly, but the UI displayed the value before the buff was applied.
Removed the food bubble display in the forest scene. The meat and its stock are used to restore stamina for miners before they start mining. Since players cannot interact with it, there is no need to display it and cause confusion.
Slightly increased the bonus effect of stockpile upgrades. The stockpile capacity is now a bit larger.
Some minor bug fixes.
The maximum scalable size of the game can now adapt to the screen, allowing the globe to appear larger on high-resolution displays.
The triggering conditions for achievements such as "Baby" and "First Chicken" have been expanded. For instance, the game will now check whether the player has already obtained the "Baby" achievement when opening the quest interface.
When turning in quests, the game will check if the required items are locked. For example, a locked chick will not be automatically used to complete a quest unless it is manually unlocked.
Some minor bug fixes.
Locked items will not be sold even if manually clicked. You were right—this helps prevent accidental sales.
After starting the slot machine, pulling the lever again will immediately stop the animation and show the result. This speeds things up a bit, especially since you have so many dice.
The teleportation butterfly in the upper right of the sphere is now more noticeable. I don’t want you to miss this important button.
Quests received at the beginning will no longer require submitting minerals or fish, which are resources only available later in the game. But later quests will become harder
When the warehouse is full, characters' rest time has been reduced, allowing them to return to work more quickly.
Cat will no longer play outside in the rain. Unless it are sleeping in a tree, it will go to seek shelter.
The color of the lock button for items on the product interface has been modified. Now, green = unlocked (can be sold automatically), yellow = locked (cannot be sold automatically). Manually clicking on an item will always sell it, regardless of whether it is locked or not.
The logic for automatic selling has been adjusted. Items currently required for quests will no longer be automatically sold. The system will keep one of such items and sell the rest if there are extras.
Occasionally live stream during the release week, might help boost sales:).
Hello everyone, the game has officially been released.
Players who have previously purchased "The Dream Within" should buy the supporter bundle at an additional discount. You only need to pay $1.95 * 0.9 = $1.75 to complete the bundle.Demo save data can be carried over.Compared to the demo, the full version includes:New scenes—click the butterfly on the sphere to switch between them
An added achievement system with 50 achievements to unlock, level cap increased to 200, and cloud save enabled.
Six new skins to change the sphere’s appearance, unlocked when collection progress exceeds 60% in any of the six categories: bread, minerals, vegetables, and others.
Once the Offering level reaches 100, you can have a new family member.
Other UI and gameplay mechanic adjustments.
The Steam Next Fest is almost over, and I am grateful that over 1,500 players have downloaded and played the game, providing feedback and encouragement through various channels. Thank you everyone for trying out the game. I truly appreciate it! You are welcome to continue trying the game and sharing your thoughts to help me further improve it!
Today, I rolled out a minor update to the demo, primarily addressing the issue where the game could trigger false alert by firewall software on certain devices, along with a few other small fixes. More functional improvements—such as preventing specific items from being auto-sold, UI optimizations, and others—are still in progress and will be implemented in the released version.
Lastly, I’d like to address a few frequently asked questions:
Items, gold, levels, and quest progress obtained in the demo will carry over to the released version.
The demo currently has a level cap of 31 and only allows access to the first scene. More scenes will be available in the released version, which is why, after reaching level 15, the butterfly button on the globe sphere does not allow scene selection—you can only preview them for now.
When the house stock is full, characters will enter rest modes. After resting for a period (10-20 minutes), they will automatically sell the products and resume work.
Development is progressing well, and the game remains on track for its planned release. See you then!
Welcome to try out the demo! Demo game save can be used in released version, with a level cap of 31.
game demo is on, featuring the first scene of the game with a level cap of 30.
Hello everyone, as the Steam China 2025 Show Case Festival is on, we'd like to take this opportunity to launch the first round of testing. The game content is still incomplete and features are limited—we sincerely welcome everyone to share your thoughts!
Note that the playtest will be closed on 2025-0801
