This update focuses on improving accessibility, combat feel, and overall gameplay polish.

Assist+

A new Assist+ option has been added to the Settings menu and can be toggled on or off at any time while playing on Assist Mode. When enabled, Assist+ provides:

• Unlimited handgun and crossbow ammo

• Slow health regeneration

• Easier boss encounters

Combat & Gameplay

• Polished reload animations for selected weapons.

• Added in-game voice lines during exploration and combat.

• Rebalanced boss encounters for Assist Mode.

Before He Falls

• The results screen now displays your Best Time and the completed sub-mode.

Localization

• Added Japanese localization.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed various bugs and improved overall stability.

This major update introduces a brand-new game mode, new challenges, and an overhaul of Beth's movement animations.

New Game Mode – Before He Falls

Play as Serena and fight your way back to Silken Veil in a desperate attempt to save a dear friend.

• Includes 9 sub-modes featuring different rule sets and challenge conditions

• Features 13 brand-new achievements

• Designed as a fast-paced, replayable experience with unique objectives

The mode can be accessed from Main Menu → Extras → Game Mode.

Beth Movement Overhaul

Beth's movement animations have been remade, including idle, walking, running, and their transitions, resulting in smoother and more natural movement.

Combat Improvements

• Rebalanced zombie combat for more intense and responsive encounters.

• Improved zombie hit reactions and stagger feedback.

• Enhanced gore presentation during combat.

Zombie Visual Updates

• Added male zombie garment damage.

• Added new head and body destruction visuals for zombies.

• Added new headwear variants for zombies.

Improvements

• Updated Repair & Craft prompts and item descriptions to make them clearer and easier to understand.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where switching to Stealth Mode right before entering the Casino bathroom section could prevent objective prompts from updating.

• Fixed certain zombie animation issues in specific situations.

• Fixed an issue where the inventory could fail to open after certain interrupted interactions.

New Features

• Ammo now automatically stacks when picked up into the inventory.

• Added new settings:

  • Hide Equipped Weapons

  • Mouse Sensitivity

  • Controller Sensitivity

Adjustments

• Adjusted crossbow damage to garments.

Fixes

• Fixed an issue with the storage box interaction in certain cases.

• Various bug fixes.

New Game Plus

• Certain Sketches and Accessories (including new ones from the DLC) now unlock permanently once collected and can be carried into a new game.

• Revisit the nightmare with select items carried over and new ways to approach survival.

New Cosmetic Storage

• Added a dedicated Style tab for cosmetic items, with support for future expansion.

• Store and manage accessories separately from your main inventory.

Visual Update

• Added new undergarment visuals when the protagonist’s outfit is damaged.

Free DLC – Survival Pack

Available now for all owners of the base game.

• 11 new garments

• 4 new accessories

• New Enemy – Veil Stalker All available right from the first playthrough and don’t require to finish the game first.

Combat Experience Adjustments

Combat pacing and enemy behavior have been rebalanced across difficulties to make each one feel more distinct and consistent.

New Difficulty: Assist

A more accessible assist mode has been added for players who want to focus on exploration, atmosphere, and story.

Minor Item Placements

Some items have been slightly repositioned across levels.

Recommendation:

We recommend starting a New Game to experience all of these adjustments.
