Full Steam announcements and update articles for this title.
Thanks to everyone's support for "The Cheated Man's Revenge," our new title "The Counter Gambit" is now available. The new game launches with a 29% discount, and owners of "The Cheated Man's Revenge" can get an additional 10% off through the bundle. There will be no discount lower than the launch price for at least six months, so you can purchase with confidence.
After carefully reading and listening to your feedback on "The Cheated Man's Revenge," we have made several targeted improvements:
UI Improvements:
Added a dialogue history log.
Scroll down with the mouse wheel to advance the story, and scroll up to call out the history log.
Added a dedicated CG section in the Gallery.
Gaming Experience:
This time, we created at least 4 outfits for each main character, resolving the issue where visuals didn't match the descriptions.
All main characters now have multiple facial expressions, so they won't be "poker-faced" the whole time.
Interactive Scenes:
We've attempted to create more complete H-sequences, moving beyond simple animation loops.
The "clapping" sound effects are now properly synced during H-scenes.
Of course, the biggest improvement is the addition of multi-person (group) scenes for the first time, filling the gap of having a harem-themed game without multi-person activities.
By purchasing through the bundle, you can enjoy an extra 10% discount that others can't. We provide extra discounts to players of our previous games with every new release. This is to encourage you to try our new work, see our progress, and know that we value and respect player feedback.
I have always believed that the relationship between developers and players is more than just a transaction; it's like a student and a teacher. "The Counter Gambit" is my new exam paper, and your reviews are my grades. If you are still unsatisfied with the quality after playing, I sincerely hope you can maintain faith in us and not misunderstand our intentions. We don't want to be a studio that churns out AI-generated low-quality smut. Our vision is: To create industry-leading harem-themed H-game. Although our current skills are still developing, I believe that as long as we continue to listen to your suggestions and accumulate experience in each title (for example, the next one will focus on gameplay and H-scene presentation), we will achieve this goal. We hope you will leave many reviews and suggestions—we really are watching and listening!
PS: In the first half of this year, there will be another harem-themed NTL title that you might enjoy even more. It’s roughly about a anti-hero protagonist aggressively taking over the wife and mother of a tyrannical boss... It will no longer be a pure visual novel; we will add more gameplay and focus heavily on the presentation of H-scenes. These scenes will be longer, with more variety in movements and facial expressions. We hope the next title brings you more immersive and expressive content. If you've played any games with animated H-scenes that truly impressed you, please let us know in the comments! We will carefully study the strengths of these outstanding predecessors and incorporate them into our new work.
The Winter Sale is here, and The Cheated Man's Revenge is at a massive discount. To thank everyone for supporting our debut title, owners of The Cheated Man's Revenge will receive an additional 10% Loyalty Bundle discount when our new game, The Counter Gambit, launches!
Added 4 new achievements.
Fixed several known bugs.
Replaced Tang Zhu's static portrait with an animated portrait.
We know The Cheated Man's Revenge has many shortcomings, and we truly appreciate all your feedback.
Our new title, The Counter Gambit, will be released on January 7, 2026. The launch price will be significantly lower than that of our first game, as a small token of our apology.
If you already own The Cheated Man's Revenge, you will get an extra 10% discount through the Loyalty Bundle when the new game debuts.
The DEMO for The Counter Gambit is now live. We hope you can see our growth in this new project. Thank you!

Optimized Zhao Manli's restaurant scene.
Converted the original static CG to animated CG.
Added more expressions in this scene to fit the script:
Hope everyone likes it, thanks for playing!
(In the next update, each female character's portraits will also have richer expressions.)
We've received many players' feedback on gameplay, and starting next week, we'll be adding various facial expressions for the female characters in different states, as well as animating some static CGs.
This will be updated synchronously with next week's Steam patch approval (assuming no review issues).
The content of this update is as follows:
Added a set of expressions for Zhao Wei.
Fixed the issue where some options in the options menu were not taking effect.
Fixed the issue where the OP couldn't be skipped when opening the game for the first time.
Regarding a few issues raised in feedback:
During the game's project initiation, to ensure smooth completion and launch, the rich expressions for characters were implemented as an optional feature. Based on everyone's feedback, we've recognized the mistake and understood the importance of this aspect. We won't make the same error in the next game.
For the next game, we'll manage the launch properly to ensure the main game and patches are released simultaneously.
Regarding the lack of voice acting for characters in daily scenes, we're very sorry, but due to cost constraints, this couldn't be done. However, it will definitely be included in the next game.
We are a newly established studio, launching our first game on Steam, and indeed there are many areas where we lack experience. But we've learned a lot from this, and we'll strive to make each subsequent game better than the last. Thank you very much for everyone's feedback!
