Hello everyone,
We've just released v1.1.10, a fairly substantial update that addresses a number of feedback points we've received since launch. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their experiences, suggestions, and bug reports!
One of the most significant additions in this update is a new hint system designed to help players who get stuck without spoiling the investigation.
After two failed attempts on a question, you'll now have the option to ask Lenore for advice.
Hints are designed to gently steer players in the right direction while preserving the satisfaction of solving the case yourself.
When reviewing a question with only one correct answer, already-correct sections will now be skipped automatically.
Clicking the "?" button next to correctly entered evidence will now replay the reasoning behind why that answer was correct, rather than simply repeating information about the evidence itself.
Added many more "close, but not quite" responses throughout the game, providing additional reasoning and, in some cases, extra hints to help guide your thinking.
Fixed an issue where fullscreen mode could occasionally create black borders.
Added Space Bar support as an alternative "left click" input.
Fixed the trigger for the "Here's What I'm Thinking" achievement.
After investigating reports, we realized the conditions required to unlock the achievement were far more awkward than intended, which explains why so few players had earned it. To correct this, we've fixed the trigger and also added an additional achievement check before the credits roll.
If you believe you should have already unlocked the achievement, we recommend loading your save and playing through to the ending again. Since the final autosave occurs in Lenore's office, this should only require a short replay before the credits sequence.
Thank you again for all your feedback and support. We hope these improvements make your time in Big Hollow a smoother and more enjoyable case!
