Greetings, Heroes,
In combat, your squad’s skills are key. But when the battle gets a little tricky, you have an extra weapon to rely on: synergies. These powerful abilities, unique to each character, will help your entire team triumph over your enemies.
Before you can use this power, you must first fill the synergy gauge, which is shared across the entire team. In combat, certain actions help build it up, such as defeating enemies, but also by supporting your squadmates with buffs or healing.
Once the gauge is full, you can activate one of your character’s synergy abilities to turn the tide of battle.

Greetings, Heroes,
We hope you’re enjoying your adventure in the lands of Terrinoth®! Whether you’re a seasoned tactical RPG player or Terrinoth®: Heroes of Descent is your very first, here are 5 tips you can use during your playthroughs:
Exploit enemy weaknesses Every enemy you encounter comes with its own set of resistances and vulnerabilities. Learning how to identify and exploit them is key to overcoming tougher encounters. While at camp, you’ll be able to preview the most effective skills for the dungeon ahead - use this information to carefully assemble a team that can fully capitalize on enemy weaknesses!
Leverage the environment The battlefield itself can become one of your greatest assets. With the right abilities, you can push enemies off cliffs or into hazards for instant eliminations. Positioning also plays a crucial role: attacking from higher ground increases your effective range, while attacking from below reduces accuracy. Smart positioning can make all the difference.
Unleash Synergy Attacks Each character possesses unique synergy skills: powerful abilities capable of turning the tide of battle. To use them, you’ll need to fill a shared synergy gauge across your team. This can be achieved not only by defeating enemies, but also by supporting your allies with buffs and healing, encouraging a more strategic and cooperative playstyle.
Make smart use of items As you explore and complete dungeons, you’ll acquire a variety of items. These can be used in combat to heal your team or deal additional damage when needed. Don’t forget you can equip new items directly within the dungeon you found them in. Back at camp, you’ll also have access to a shop where you can purchase essential supplies to prepare for future challenges.
Chain powerful combos Each character brings a unique set of abilities with distinct tactical advantages - such as rooting enemies in place or dealing increased damage to isolated targets. Combining these abilities across your team is key to maximizing your damage output. If needed, you can also adjust your characters’ initiative order, allowing you to execute effective combos with greater control. But reordering your initiative can only be done once per combat round.
Got tips of your own? Drop them in the comments!
You can also join our Discord to chat with other Terrinoth®: Heroes of Descent players.
See you in the depths of Terrinoth®!

We're closely monitoring your feedback and actively working to address remaining issues. Keep the reports coming!
Fixed a softlock occurring during the Troll encounter. Please note this fix is not retroactive, saves where the Troll was already healed during combat will not be affected.
Fixed a softlock occurring when Cedwin dies during the first skirmish in Crypts of Aerendor (game over was not triggering correctly)
Fixed the Forge being accessible immediately when the tutorial was disabled
Fixed status effects displaying infinitely, and occasionally on the wrong character, after combat
Fixed an infinite loading screen for guests when joining a session started from a demo save file
Fixed a softlock triggered when a guest leaves the lobby after clicking "Ready"
We're currently working on fixes for the remaining multiplayer issues. A first patch is on its way soon. Stay tuned!

Greetings, Heroes!
Countless of you have already explored what the lands of Terrinoth® could offer so far and we wanted to thank you for playing and giving us so much quality feedback! This allowed us to improve parts of our tutorial and the first dungeon. The demo has just received a new update so, without further ado, let’s deep dive!
Added a tutorial for equiping items/skills while in dungeon. This feature was largely ignored and the added tutorial should make it more visible.
We noticed that the "stress" induced by the ambush made people miss the tutorials on this fight. We changed things to make sure that the initiative shuffle and initiative cluster features are correctly understood.
Added a quest step after the undead fight in order to finish the dungeon. This will allow players who trigger the final fight to explore the dungeon after it if they want to.
Added multiple call to action to ease the understanding of what's expected of the player.
Changed the way to access the collection, and added messages to remind the players who missed it of it's existence.
Added vines in the Crypts of Aerandor to make sure the player understood interactions with the environment.
As always, we would love to hear your feedback, feel free to share them on Discord or down below, and let us know what you think!
Feel free to have another go at the demo, or dive straight into the full game now! Buy Terrinoth®: Heroes of Descent on PC and consoles to take on new challenges and uncover the full story!

Greetings, Heroes,
In your journey across the perilous lands of Terrinoth®, you will face many dangers. Thanks to your four active companions - their skills, resistances, and synergy attacks - you will be able to overcome these challenges!
Discover our recommendations for pre-built teams tailored to different playstyles.
With this team, you have all the tools needed to handle most situations. It features the classic role-playing game composition: one tank, one healer, and two DPS with different profiles.
The Devoted Defender: Kharaz – With their shield and taunt abilities, Kharaz is an ideal tank and an essential part of this setup. Use their skills to protect allies while also controlling enemies and drawing their focus onto them.
The Lifeline: Finniel – She provides area healing for the entire team, ensuring that battles don’t end prematurely. Her abilities also grant protection and remove any negative status effects affecting allies.
Area Control Adept: Aurta – Her area damage and lightning and ice attacks not only deal damage to enemies but also apply effects to them if raw damage isn’t enough to defeat them.
The Disruptor: Cedwin – Our agile rogue is key for dealing damage and triggering combos with the effects applied by Aurta and Kharaz. His ability to quickly reposition also allows him to swiftly finish off enemies who manage to escape the group.
If you prefer quick and brutal combats over prolonged battles, this team setup should suit you well. Stay cautious, however: the margin for error is very slim, and your team is far more vulnerable.
Area Control Adept: Aurta – By applying effects to enemies and the environment, Aurta sets off the first domino in a devastating chain, dealing damage over time and slowing enemies.
The Berserker: Nomharr – Driven by a thirst for glory and blood, Nomharr does more than just deal damage: each execution allows him to heal. Sacrificing his own health can pay off, granting him permanent buffs throughout the fight. Be mindful of his positioning to avoid costly mistakes.
The Multiplier: Veshi – Not only does Veshi provide healing to the team, but her fire affinity allows her to strike enemies immobilized or slowed by Aurta, triggering detonations to finish them off. If that’s not enough, her ability to stack effects on targets is a major asset for securing a swift victory.
The Assassin: Myria – Those lucky enough to survive the Aurta–Veshi combos and Nomharr’s fury will still have to face Myria… who excels at taking down isolated targets.
This team rewards tactical minds: thanks to these heroes’ abilities, you take control of the battlefield, effects, and debuffs like a true conductor of war. Everything is interconnected, everything works in harmony—the more states and effects are applied, the more explosive the combo becomes.
The Maestro: Arlo – His role is to control the field by cleansing negative effects from your allies and positive effects from your enemies. His ability to create surfaces also gives you the upper hand. In short: you decide where and how the battle unfolds.
The Converter: Cedwin – His unique ability to capitalize on applied states allows him to amplify and optimize what the team sets up.
The Stabilizer: Finniel – With her powerful area healing and her ability to summon healing or decay surfaces, Finniel provides the team with valuable sustain, especially in longer fights where setups take time to trigger.
The State Generator: Kharaz – Taunt, push, and daze your enemies! He creates the conditions and effects that the rest of the team can exploit, working in tandem with Arlo. Cedwin can then convert these conditions into advantages for allies and prepare the damage trigger for a devastating finale.
Which team do you see yourself playing the most? Let us know in the comments!
Greetings, Heroes!
Whether you’ve been following our game since the announcement or you’re just discovering it today, here’s a full recap of everything you need to know about Terrinoth®: Heroes of Descent.
With launch rapidly approaching, we wanted to take one final moment to prepare you for the adventure ahead before the gates of Terrinoth finally open.
Set in the iconic universe of Descent, Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent is a brand-new tactical dungeon-crawling adventure designed for both tactical RPG fans and longtime followers of the franchise.
The story takes place before the events of the board game, making it the perfect entry point into the world of Terrinoth. And while the game draws inspiration from tabletop RPGs, it has been built first and foremost as an accessible video game experience. You won’t need to learn complicated rules, initiative systems, or endless mechanics before jumping in.
Our goal has always been simple: create a game that’s easy to pick up, while still delivering satisfying tactical combat, exploration, puzzles, loot progression, and cooperative strategy.
Whether you enjoy fighting through dangerous encounters, optimizing your builds, exploring every corner of a dungeon, or simply sharing a fun evening with friends, the adventure has been designed to support all kinds of playstyles.
The entire adventure can be played solo or online with up to four players.
From the start, co-op was designed to feel smooth and flexible. Loot and progression are shared across the whole party, and players can seamlessly join a session even after a dungeon has already started.
Whether you prefer venturing alone or gathering a group of friends for a full evening of dungeon crawling, the game naturally adapts to both experiences.
At launch, Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent will feature four themed campaigns spread across twenty handcrafted dungeons.
Each mission has been designed as a self-contained adventure with its own pacing, atmosphere, encounters, secrets, and rewards. From hostile underground ruins to mysterious forgotten locations, every dungeon aims to feel like a complete RPG session from beginning to end.
The structure also makes the game perfect for shorter sessions and co-op evenings, without requiring massive uninterrupted playtime commitments.
The game is brought to life through a fully voiced cast featuring experienced actors from the worlds of games and animation, including Samantha Béart, Gideon Emery, David Gasman, Sharon Mann, Barbara Scaff, and many more talented performers.
For more details on our amazing cast, check out our dedicated news post about voice acting:
To make sure everyone can enjoy the adventure at their own pace, the game will feature several difficulty settings at launch, including a fully customizable mode for players looking to tailor the challenge to their liking. Full controller support is included from day one.
Terrinoth®: Heroes of Descent will launch very soon on PC, MacOS, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The game will be available for $34.99 USD on Steam, with a launch discount available for a limited time.

In Terrinoth®: Heroes of Descent, our goal is to deliver an adventure that’s accessible to all players, whether they’re seasoned RPG veterans or brand-new recruits. That’s why the final version of the game will feature multiple difficulty levels, allowing every type of player to enjoy the experience with a gameplay style that suits them. These difficulty settings are available when starting a new game.
Four difficulty levels are available by default:
Story: Designed for beginners and players discovering RPGs for the first time, or those who prefer focusing on the narrative rather than exploration and combat mechanics.
Adventure: The default, balanced experience for players, offering a well-rounded adventure.
Veteran: For players seeking a more challenging combat experience.
Darkness: The highest difficulty level, aimed at players looking for intense strategic challenges where every mistake can be fatal.
You can also create your own custom difficulty by adjusting a wide range of parameters, making the journey across Terrinoth® either more forgiving or more punishing.
Here are the values you can freely tweak to craft your own experience:
Hero health points
Hero damage
Hero protection
Hero resistance to different elements
Hero vulnerability to different elements
Number of rounds a hero can remain unconscious before triggering a game over
Synergy gains
Enemy health points
Enemy damage
Enemy protection
Enemy resistance to different elements
Enemy vulnerability to different elements
Note: Resistance and vulnerability values modify base stats, not additional buffs or debuffs.
And if you're looking for a truly unforgiving experience… Iron Man mode is made for you.
In this mode, every mistake can come at a heavy cost, as you only have a single save slot for the entire adventure. Stay sharp, think strategically, and be patient… and you might just make it through.
We surely hope you will find the perfect settings for you to enjoy the adventure. Until then heroes, stay safe and let us know which one you’ll pick for your first run!
We’re thrilled to give you an up‑close look at the talent that will bring our world to life! The project brings together experienced professionals in both voice acting and animation, with each performer carefully chosen to embody the spirit of their character and fully immerse you in the story.
