The wait is almost over. After months of testing, balancing, and polishing, we're excited to announce that Tears of Metal will launch in Early Access on July 22nd.
The Early Access version includes the complete core experience:
The full progression loop from beginning to end
Three Acts, each with unique enemies, Elites, and Bosses
Three playable Heroes
Village upgrades, Emblems, Equipment, Companions, and more
The game is fully playable from A to Z, but we believe Tears of Metal can become even better with community feedback. Early Access will allow us to continue expanding the game while working closely with players to improve and refine the experience.
New playable Heroes
New Emblem Family
New Equipment and Charms
New Companions
Additional Village content
Balance updates and gameplay improvements
Performance optimizations
Quality-of-life features based on community feedback
We're proud of where the game is today and feel it's ready for players to jump in. At the same time, we have exciting content planned for the months ahead, and your feedback will help shape its future.
We know we missed our original Spring release window, and we appreciate your patience. Thank you for sticking with us! At least we ALMOST managed to announce the release date before Spring ended... by a few days. We're almost there! Can't wait to welcome you all on July 22nd.
One final note: the demo will be removed on July 6th.
The demo no longer reflects the current state of the game. Because it is significantly out of date, and because save files will not carry over to the full version, we've decided to retire it ahead of launch.
If you haven't played the demo yet, this is your last chance to give it a try before it disappears.
Thank you for all your support, feedback, bug reports, and encouragement throughout development.
See you on July 22nd.

Hey everyone!
Long overdue update! We’re getting closer to the finish line. We did have to shift our target release. Although we’re not far off, we’re now aiming for SPRING. To give you a bit more visibility on where we’re at: we’re planning to start running playtests for the full game next month. So in short RELEASE WINDOW: Q1 -> Spring.
SHOWCASES
Today and next week, Tears of Metal will be part of a couple of showcases!
Today: QUEBEC GAMES CELEBRATION
Next Week IGN FAN FEST: https://www.ign.com/articles/ign-fan-fest-2026-how-to-watch-and-what-to-expect
Again, thanks for your support everyone. We’re hard at work finishing things up and your support means a lot to us!
Hey everyone!
We’ve been a bit quiet since the demo, but rest assured we’re still hard at work on the game. A big part of our focus lately has been on the additional playable characters, and we can’t wait to share more about them soon.
Before the year wraps up, we just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Your support and passion over the past year truly mean the world to us. It’s incredibly motivating, and it keeps us pushing forward every day.
We’re excited to keep building and can’t wait to get this baby into your hands in 2026.
Happy holidays, and see you in the new year!

First off, a massive thank you to everyone who played the demo, shared feedback, ideas, and reviews! Your support has been incredible, we’re honestly blown away.
During Steam Next Fest, Tears of Metal climbed all the way to #16 in player count, earning a spot in Steam’s “50 Most-Played Demos of the October 2025 Event.” That’s huge for us and it’s all thanks to you!
Even more heartwarming was earning the “Overwhelmingly Positive” review rating on the demo. It’s been an incredible boost to our morale, and we can’t wait to get the full game into your hands.
With all this momentum and plenty (or dare I say infinite) of new feedback in hand, we’ve decided to shift our release window to Q1 2026. We mostly want to take the extra time to polish the experience in the later part of the game. We promise, the wait will be worth it!
Thanks again for marching with us. Your support truly gives us the final push to make Tears of Metal everything it deserves to be. ⚔️
Stay tuned for more updates,
Thanks!

33,526 runs played
8,643 hours of playtime (≈ 360 days of non-stop battles!)
That’s incredible. We’re blown away by your support! Thanks to you, we stress-tested the game and gathered tons of feedback.
We’ve just finished going through most of your feedback and bug reports. If you still have ideas, critiques, or suggestions, please keep them coming!
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the stuff we’ll be adjusting and improving based on your playtest feedback.
So… that boss was hard, huh? Sorry!!! We added a last-minute broken system that scaled difficulty with the threat bar. The result? Gilles turned into a bullet sponge with huge HP and brutal one-shot hits. That’s on us, and it’s getting fixed.
We’re also reworking his behavior and stats to make the fight more engaging and up-close. Expect less running in circles and more real clashes.
Some content missing in the beta/demo is pretty obvious (characters, enemies, etc.), but let’s talk quickly about Emblems.
In the beta/demo you only saw 4 incomplete families, including tier 1 and some tier 2 Emblems.
In the full game, there will be 8 base families, each with emblem tiers going from 1 to 3, and each also having unique Emblems for synergies with other families.
So for now, in the version you tried out, the Emblems pool is smaller and more focused than what is to be expected. We’ll also be rebalancing existing emblems (yes, Orbs, we see you).
You asked for it, and we agree: there will be more ways to heal.
From your feedback alone, we logged 231 new tasks (not even counting bug reports). Expect a lot of meaningful improvements coming your way.
Thank you again for diving into Tears of Metal. Your support means the world to us.
See you soon!

New objectives
New unlockable content
Company system
and more!
Keyboard controls refined → as snappy as controller

We can’t wait to hear what you think, especially about Multiplayer. Thanks for helping us make the game better!
Cheers,
