We are insanely happy to announce that Tavern Talk is getting its very first physical Nintendo Switch release. The Complete Edition, including the game DLCs Tempest Tantrum and Pirate Palooza, is the definitive version of our beloved cozy fantasy visual novel.
We have collaborated with Strictly Limited to bring it to cartridge this fall -including the French localization update that's scheduled for all platforms by the end of May.
We have three editions coming up (all details below): 1. The standard Limited Edition with no extras, just the cartridge. 2. A Deluxe Edition featuring a ton of collectible items alongside the limited cartridge. Among other magnificent merch, it includes an amazing dice scroll displaying the Map of Phesoa on its flap, our most-downloaded free product on itch.io to date.
It also boasts the first-time print of the extended edition of the Lorebook (88 pages), our number one community fave non-game DLC. 3. A No Game Deluxe Edition: "just" the above pile of merch without the limited Switch cartridge. Perfect for everyone who already owns the game. 👀

Creating a localized version for French took quite a bit of time, effort, and, of course, money. With roughly 190.000 words to translate, including the Story DLC Tempest Tantrum, we had a lot of narrative to plow through. But as we saw a huge engagement in wishlists, sales, and community interaction from our French fans, we've been looking for opportunities to make this happen for months now.

the Among Us crew is coming back this April to run wild again in the Wayfarer's Inn with this free content update for Tavern Talk!
Until the end of April, some screens and events will look-... a bit different thanks to the Among Us crew - watch out for the bell used to complete drink mixing being replaced with the emergency button, sending not only magical drinks through the primordial vortex, but maybe even an imposter or two. 👀
Not interested in any of this? There is now an option in the settings menu to turn them off entirely so you can enjoy the pure original Tavern Talk immersion.

Ever since we've been working on our visual novel, we were obsessing over lofi versions of selected tracks from the Original Soundtrack. So our music composer Filippo Beck Peccoz whipped out his fave tools and threw some tunes together. We were instantly hooked, and we’re sure you’ll feel the same when you listen to this little sample!
As we've reached the stretch goal of 40.000 € of our Kickstarter campaign our prequel Tavern Talk Stories: Dreamwalker, we will make this happen! The Lofi EP will become available here on Steam when the new game is launching!

Yes, it's true: Cyrus Nemati will voice the narrator and tavernkeep of the Drowsy Dragon in the intro cutscene of Tavern Talk Stories: Dreamwalker. He is known from Hades I & II, where he voices Ares, Theseus, and Dionysus.
This was made possible by the success of our Kickstarter campaign, which was funded in under 1 hour!
When we crossed 30.000€, we unlocked a lorepage that will be added to the in-game journal. It will offer rich lore related to the many themes found in Dreamwalker, like the star signs, the cosmology, the draconic pantheon, and the calendar.
You can now look forward to diving into Asteria lore in-game!
But the Kickstarter didn't stop there. We also managed to smash five other stretch goals with the support of our community. The next is just a few hundred Euros away and should really get you excited:
If we manage to cross 50.000€ we will implement a decoration mode that lets you swap interior items, customizing your tavern background. Right afterwards, at 55.000€ we will add seasonal decoration packs for Halloween and winter.
We have many more stretch goals planned for y'all.

And those of you who've played the original game know that adventurers used to bring back trinkets from their quests, keepsakes that would then find their place in the tavern. Until now, they had no place in the budget.

if our Kickstarter gets funded, we will invite a very special guest to lend their voice to our narrator and tavernkeep of the Drowsy Dragon – our dear friend Cyrus Nemati, founder of indie development team Little Bat Games which made Vampire Therapist, but also the voice of Ares, Theseus, and Dionysus from Hades I & II.
We would be over delighted, if we are able to welcome Cyrus on this adventurous journey through the mysterious and fantastical lands of Asteria, here in Tavern Talk Stories: Dreamwalker.
