Today is the day: we're over the moon to finally share our next narrative gem with you. After 18 months of hard work, Tavern Talk Stories: Dreamwalker is OUT NOW!
Today, you can dive into the next standalone (!) Tavern Talk adventure. Open the doors of the Drowsy Dragon to welcome your patrons, listen to their stories, and mix them a fate-altering drink before they set out on the quests you've assembled from rumors.
So, step behind the bar, get to work, and stop dreams from twisting into nightmares. Roughly 10 hours of game time await on your first playthrough –up to 25 hours if you set out to see every twist, every turn, and every ending. Captain Beebug, your cozy and loyal companion, will keep you company no matter how the plot twists, so pet them now and then.

You might already know that our demo of Tavern Talk Stories: Dreamwalker is now available in five languages: English, German, French, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. So have a look at the new demo and consider leaving a review! 😊
Ever since we've been working on our visual novel Tavern Talk - currently 40% off - we were obsessing over lofi versions of selected tracks from the Original Soundtrack. So our music composer Filippo Beck Peccoz whipped out his fave tools and threw some tunes together. We were instantly hooked, and we’re sure you’ll feel the same when you listen to this little sample!
As we've reached the stretch goal of 40.000 € of our Kickstarter campaign for Dreamwalker, we will make this happen! The Lofi EP will become available here on Steam when our game is launching!
Our composer Filippo is also back on board to write the sea-shanty score for Dreamwalker using his favorite plugged instruments among some synthi waves. Have a look behind the curtain and into Fillipo's studio:

Amazing times! While we're still in Steam Next Fest with the Tavern Talk Dreamwalker demo (please play as much as you can and wishlist the game), our Kickstarter campaign crossed 1.000 backers and reached the 55k stretch goal that brings seasonal decorations for the recently unlocked tavern decoration mode for the Drowsy Dragon!
But there is more: up next are exciting D&D one-shot adventure pamphlets based on real Dreamwalker quests, and if we manage to reach 70.000, you'll be able pet adorable Captain Beebug in-game! 💖🐝

We thought: why not run an indie game appreciation collaboration? So, we asked around and looked at all the awesome games we managed to team up with. For each of them, you'll be able to put an iconic item into the tavern. Can you recognize each game by its item?

Seems like the protagonist forgot their iconic hat in the Drowsy Dragon.
At our friends over at VoodooDuck, cuteness has reached new levels with Collector's Cove! Ever wondered what it would be like to sail the high seas and uncharted waters, discovering new islands and crops, and doing it all from your own floating farm and garden? The game is about to launch super soon, so better go check it out!
Our friends at Stray Fawn Studio know what they are doing, and Kill Your Darlings is no different: monsters, prison break, dating, and time management, all in one good hell of a combo! And did we mention that the characters are hot?
Spellgarden Games, the team behind Sticky Business, is bringing 90's nostalgia to you in the form of Thrifty Business, a management sim that puts you at the helm of a vintage thrift shop. Go find treasures and pre-loved gems by rummaging through boxes, and create gorgeous displays for your customers to discover.
When neoludic games brought us Tiny Bookshop, you also thought about leaving your old life behind and starting your own cozy adventure, didn't you? You're in Bookstonbury-by-the-Sea and open a tiny bookshop from inside an adorable camper. You recommend books to the local community, decorate your bookshop to your liking, and discover little secrets around town as you explore the different spots to set up shop.
Just in case you didn't know: Twisted Twenty Studio is an indie dev studio from Spain, currently working on their very first project, Dating & Dragons - A Love Quest, a D&D-inspired dating sim that blends visual novel storytelling with RPG mechanics. It has a rich, branching narrative (with secret endings), strong LGBTQIA+ and queer representation, and all of it while rolling dice and exploring dungeons. Rumor has it that Captain Beebug has a crush on their super cute little red dragon mascot, Gazpacho, which is why their portrait can now be found on the tavern's wall - if you put it there.
We are so happy to have our friends' projects included in our game! What more can a true Indie dev heart want?!

Decoration mode that lets you swap interior items, customizing your tavern background. Spot the missing ones, which can be unlocked by playing other branches of the narrative.

Yes, it's true: Cyrus Nemati will voice the narrator and tavernkeep of the Drowsy Dragon in the intro cutscene of Tavern Talk Stories: Dreamwalker. He is known from Hades I & II, where he voices Ares, Theseus, and Dionysus.
This was made possible by the success of our Kickstarter campaign, which was funded in under 1 hour!
When we crossed 30.000€, we unlocked a lorepage that will be added to the in-game journal. It will offer rich lore related to the many themes found in Dreamwalker, like the star signs, the cosmology, the draconic pantheon, and the calendar.
You can now look forward to diving into Asteria lore in-game!
But the Kickstarter didn't stop there. We also managed to smash five other stretch goals with the support of our community. The next is just a few hundred Euros away and should really get you excited:
If we manage to cross 50.000€ we will implement a decoration mode that lets you swap interior items, customizing your tavern background. Right afterwards, at 55.000€ we will add seasonal decoration packs for Halloween and winter.
We have many more stretch goals planned for y'all.

And those of you who've played the original game know that adventurers used to bring back trinkets from their quests, keepsakes that would then find their place in the tavern. Until now, they had no place in the budget.

if our Kickstarter gets funded, we will invite a very special guest to lend their voice to our narrator and tavernkeep of the Drowsy Dragon – our dear friend Cyrus Nemati, founder of indie development team Little Bat Games which made Vampire Therapist, but also the voice of Ares, Theseus, and Dionysus from Hades I & II.
We would be over delighted, if we are able to welcome Cyrus on this adventurous journey through the mysterious and fantastical lands of Asteria, here in Tavern Talk Stories: Dreamwalker.

last week, we were at Gamescom 2025 to present our new game Tavern Talk Stories: Dreamwalker and to talk to the players!
It was amazing to see and hear how much people enjoyed the new mechanics and the overall atmosphere of the new settings. Thank you all for taking the time not only to play the shorter Gamescom demo, but also to talk to us afterwards.
We talked to so many players and even to different press outlets! This is always exciting for us, since it allows us to spread the word and reach a new audience.
And as always, Gamescom is an incredible place to meet other devs and make fun things happen, like the cozy indie game sticker rally! We collaborated with 9 different games and if you played all of our demos, you could receive an exclusive sticker sheet!

With all the amazing things, there was also a downside. 😱 We had an Andu plushie with us. To show it to others and to give people an idea of how the possible Dindi plushie can look and feel like...
Well, needless to say, the Andu plushi got stolen by someone...
While this was a sad moment and Andu never came back to us, we hope they have a loving home with the thief. 🫰 And we managed to get a lot of people interested in the Dindi plushie!

And last but not least! Cosplayers! We love it so much that people take the time to actually make cosplays of our characters. This is just beautiful and always a highlight.

We are starting with Toukana Interactive. The devs behind the indie hit Dorfromantik (which is currently 40% off 👀) have a very special place in our hearts. Their new game, Star Birds, is a relaxing asteroid base-building and resource management game developed with the team of kurzgesagt - in a nutshell. It combines the iconic kurzgesagt art style (and birds!) with deep gameplay systems. They have a demo up that lets you discover and mine countless asteroids, create production networks, and guide your flock of spacefaring birds to new interstellar horizons! Munich-based Jumpy Bit is making a game about making games while navigating the challenges of life. The Games You Make not only features exceptionally stunning art but also innovative, immersive simulation gameplay full of consequences to your decisions. Implement features that will probably break your game, hunt down bugs, and chase that mysterious thing called fun. Also, your mom may occasionally text you. Sounds like something to put on your wishlist?
Cloudscrapers by two-person studio Nementic Games is a relaxing, minimalist strategy game that lets you build the highest tower, continuously adapting to the challenges and opportunities provided. Manage resources and upgrade your building tools to discover mysterious spheres way beyond the clouds. Even the occasional lightning strike can't hold you back! If cozy building sims are your jam, you will probably appreciate this one. Time to put it on your wishlist and sign up for upcoming pre-release playtests.
If farming on a boat that's a swimming animal sounds like something you'd like to explore, you can do so right now! Voodoo Duck has recently dropped a demo for Collector's Cove that lets you set sail on your customized friendly sea familiar (they have hats for it and you can cuddle it, too!). They frequently run playtests for their game to improve the experience and involve the community. So check out their Discord server for a shot at participating in the next.
