After one year in Early Access, Tavern Legends officially leaves Early Access today and reaches Version 1.0!
The release update introduces new locations, systems, plants, drinks, quests, and numerous improvements.
Approximately once a week, an inspector will visit your tavern and evaluate your business.
Cleanliness, service, dirty dishes, as well as discipline and order affect your final result. At the end of the inspection, you will receive a rating that shows how well your tavern is being managed and positively or negatively affects your Fame!
The higher your Fame becomes, the more difficult it will be to maintain it!
The Fame system has also been adjusted so that your tavern now starts at 0 Fame, making progression more challenging.
The main lighting of each tavern can now be adjusted individually.
Change the brightness and colour temperature to create the perfect atmosphere for each tavern.
From a warm and cosy inn to a brightly illuminated dining room or a magical blue atmosphere!
The general lighting has also been improved to provide an even better visual experience.
A new casino has opened in the town.
Complete a new questline, gain access to the Golden Chicken, and try your luck at roulette.
Take an evening off and earn your gold in a different way... or lose it!
Why create elaborate meals with Moon Mushrooms when you can simply throw them into the juice press?
Process the glowing blue mushrooms into Moon Juice and serve the new drink to your guests.
The effect remains the same: Moon Juice makes guests especially happy and generous with their tips, but it can also make them considerably more aggressive!
You can now unlock a beautiful backyard for your house through a new bank project!
Place planter boxes there and grow your own vegetables. When watered regularly, the plants will grow twice as fast.
Mushrooms can now also be grown directly inside your tavern using special mushroom farms.
Four new reservation types have been added, and weddings can now include significantly more guests. A groom now officially attends wedding reservations as well.
Your tavern now starts at Fame 0 and develops step by step.
New tavern stars display your current Fame status. Tavern Legends can now also be officially completed, but you can, of course, continue managing and expanding your taverns afterward.
The game now offers three preset playstyles at the beginning: "Cozy, Normal, and Crazy." These affect the entire gameplay experience but can also be adjusted individually during the game.
The cleaning system has been reworked: Dirt on tables now disappears progressively while wiping instead of being removed instantly.
A tutorial archive, a setting for the maximum number of active orders, reworked workers, numerous UI improvements, and many other adjustments have also been added.
The appearance of your workers is now permanently saved, so you will no longer have to get used to a new hairstyle every time you load the game.
In addition to the new content, numerous issues involving workers, guests, lighting, inventories, storage, dirt detection, pathfinding, and the user interface have been fixed.
Thank you to all players who supported Tavern Legends throughout Early Access, provided feedback, and reported bugs.
The total amount of beer tapped so far will be reset to zero, giving every player an equal chance to reach the Top 10 of the Beer Leaderboard.
Your save files have not been deleted. Existing taverns and progress remain fully intact and are compatible with the release version.
Due to the new progression system, starting a new game is recommended, but it is not strictly necessary!
Cheers!

Tavern Legends entered Early Access on July 4, 2025. Since then, the game has received new systems, additional content, major reworks, quality-of-life improvements, balancing changes, and countless bug fixes.
Before Tavern Legends leaves Early Access on July 17, 2026, here is a look at the most important features and improvements added during the past year.
The fundamental tavern systems were continuously improved, including workers, storage, reservations, statistics, building placement, opening hours, guest behaviour, and general tavern management.
Players can now talk to different residents of the town, including merchants, craftsmen, neighbours, and other characters. These interactions introduced trading, services, small tasks, and new ways to learn more about the town.
The original building system was extensively redesigned. Exterior walls can be changed, interior walls can be freely placed or removed, and floors and ceilings can be customised.
Grid placement, improved snapping, and additional building tools also make it much easier to design individual taverns.
New walls, beams, railings, curtains, stair variants, furniture, and decorations were added throughout Early Access.
These additions allow players to create more detailed taverns and make better use of multiple floors.
Female characters were added as guests, residents, merchants, and hireable workers, making the population of the town considerably more varied.
A new district was opened, including a larger unlockable tavern.
New reservation types and guest groups were also introduced, adding more variety to daily tavern operations.
Players can purchase meadow plots, place beehives, produce honey, and process it into mead using small distilleries.
Mead was added as a completely new drink that can be produced and sold to guests.
Storage buildings received categories and improved organisation.
Additional transport options, larger delivery capacities, reservation controls, and new doorman settings were added to give players more control over their businesses.
Streamers can allow viewers to appear directly inside their tavern as guests.
Viewers can join through chat commands, participate in votes, and trigger events or rewards through Twitch interactions.
The tavern interface was expanded with clearer information about reservations, occupied seats, workers, stock, and other important business details.
Rebindable controls, additional settings, new Steam achievements, and many smaller usability improvements were also added.
Players can unlock their own brewery cellar and build brewing equipment, fermentation tanks, and pipe connections.
Different ingredients can be used to create beer and custom craft beers with varying alcohol levels, quality, and selling prices.
Guests now react to how well the player maintains order inside the tavern.
Ignoring fights, sleeping guests, vomiting, urinating, or other bad behaviour can cause the situation to escalate. A report after closing time shows how well discipline was maintained.
Workers received many new abilities and improvements.
They can collect tips, gather dirty dishes, refill empty beer barrels, move prepared drinks, organise stored goods, and perform their assigned tasks more reliably.
The town was expanded with new characters, activities, quests, and locations.
A butcher moved into the lower district, pigs were added, and an arena was opened near the castle where players can bet on knight fights.
Weddings and other town events also received additional details.
Buildings, streets, vegetation, furniture, characters, and many smaller objects were redesigned to create a more consistent visual style.
Cleaner shapes, improved readability, and less visual clutter make the town and taverns feel more cohesive.
Dress codes can be configured separately for individual workers.
Service workers can also be assigned to specific floors, giving players better control over larger taverns.
Players can sit on benches, stools, and stairs, order drinks, tell jokes, and raise their mug together with other guests.
This allows players to experience their own tavern from the perspective of a customer.
The bank was expanded with tradeable gold bars whose value can change over time.
Stored wealth is also represented visually inside the bank.
Throughout Early Access, worker AI, pathfinding, reservations, storage, deliveries, save systems, NPC behaviour, multiplayer systems, and performance were continuously improved.
Many smaller features and fixes were implemented directly in response to community feedback.
Tavern Legends has changed significantly during its year in Early Access.
Many of these improvements would not have been possible without your feedback, suggestions, bug reports, reviews, and continued support.
On July 17, 2026, Tavern Legends will officially leave Early Access and launch as Version 1.0.
