Full Steam announcements and update articles for this title.
Hey guys, hope you doing good.
As some of you might have noticed, the Steam page for Tangy TD was taken down a while ago.
This was due to a DMCA take-down because I had taken an image from google and used it in my game without their permission. This was totally my fault, I should have known better than to just take something and only make minor changes to it.
I apologize for the confusion, the issue has been resolved and the store page is back up.
But since this took a lot of time, unfortunately I didn't have much left to work on the new Anubis patch, but I wanted to share with you, what I have so far.
Just wanted to inform you guys about how the game is coming along. I'm still reading your feedback, I understand that you want more maps & I'm working on it.
Thank you all for your support and have a nice day ːsteamhappyː
Cheers ~Cakez
Hey guys,
Happy Easter! Hope you all are having a great weekend.
With this patch I'm rebalancing the endless mode so you don't have to spend upwards of 11 hours to get a top rank. This is also why the leaderboards have reset, to give everyone a new chance at reaching the top. I also fixed a lot of bugs and worked on some more QoL things like mouse keybinds & selecting the monitor the game should open on. A detailed list can be found below. Please let me know if I should keep the updates this detailed in the future or if you prefer a more "compact" list.
You can now continue your previous runs. I have tested this extensively, but I don't know how it will perform on other machines. Please report any issues, if there are any!
Hovering over items in the shop and inventory will now display a green arrow on Heroes that could use that item to combine it into an Upgrade.
Side mouse buttons can now be bound as keybinds (button 3, 4 and 5)
The game allows opening on different monitors and saves the decision
You can now change the target priority on Tangy by clicking on her
Lifting Heroes with Tangy should function a lot better now
Leaderboards have reset because of changes made to the endless mode
Added new weapon Rune Sword with a new ability
Swarm minions longer cause life loss on Tangy Trees (rare interaction with stun & knockback)
Buying items into empty slots on Heroes is now possible, even with a full inventory
When Tangy dies while carrying a Hero, they will now attack again
Lifted Heroes now ignore obstacles, allowing them to shoot over them if Magic Gloves are equipped
Lifting heroes no longer causes them to be detected by ranged enemies behind obstacles
Tangy can no longer get stuck inside tree stumps, knockback code has been rewritten
Improved Hero knockback collision (change from above)
You can now save & load runs (experimental, works well on testbuilds, please report any issues!)
You can now see Tangys STATS when choosing a relic (comparison current and new in green)
Fixed an annoying bug when buying items with units next to the shop (instant buy/equip)
Cold damage now scales chill, for example: With 30% chill effect, 1 Cold Damage will inflict only 10% (minimum) Chill, while 100 Cold Damage will inflict 30% Chill. This is to avoid stacking Chill Effect and slowing units to a crawl with only 1 Cold Damage.
Hovering over items in the shop or inventory, highlights heroes that can use it as upgrade (Arrow)
Clicking with the mouse skips Tangy choose relic animation
Healing Power is now displayed on the stats display
True Damage is now displayed on the stats display
SLI Can cause flickering, if you disable it, it should be fine
Endless Mode is now much harder, enemies scale up their Magic Resist (caps at 95%) and Armor (caps at 115%), if they didn't start above the cap (Ice Golem will still have 100% MR at all times.) The change was necessary because some some builds (Healer Shock Effect with the Lightning Burst Keystone) were doing millions of damage and people played upwards of 11 hours just to get a top rank. This is unfair towards players that don't have this much time. The playtime is great for me! But it sucks for you.
Added Ghost detection Keystones to all skill trees, no more RNJesus just to hit Ghosts. Due to this change, the Skill Tree needed to be reset, I'm sorry!
Reduced shock chance of Thunderclap (100% -> 20%)
Wolfs Den Campfire is now a real Campfire that heals
Items that have an upgrade path now show a green arrow next to their name
Items in Cauldron exchange are sorted by slot now
Removed the OK button in bestiary
Made the house inaccessible in the Skeleton map. Some enemies got stuck here
Added real Tree stumps to both the "Wolfs Den" and "Campsite Road"
Added Credits to the game, thanks to everyone who helped. If I missed someone, DM me on Discord and I will add you!
Fixed a bug where you could equip items on Tangy, this is no longer possible
Pressing ESC while holding and item now deselects it
There are some other minor changes, but I won't bore you anymore. Again, please let me know if you like those lists or if I should keep em short. Not sure how I would shorten this, tho.
I will now begin working on a bigger content update that includes a new biome (desert), new bosses, more items, and additional levels in the ice and undead regions. This patch will take some time, but I will share updates with you throughout. I don't like making promises; I would rather show you what I have when I have it, so stay tuned for that.
While working on the patch, I will still update the game, if there are any issues, of course. Just don't expect a bigger patch until I'm done with Anubis.
Thank you all for the feedback, especially those that joined the Discord server and made posts detailing their issues and wishes.
Cheers ~Cakez
Hey guys,
I have been reading your feedback and as a result added Keybinds and more Content to the game.
First let me say that I'm thankful for your patience. I can understand that only 8 Maps is very thin compared to other tower defense games. In this patch I'm going to add two new maps to the game, one in the forest and one in the ice region.
For those that want more content, don't worry, there will be more content and updates in the future.
This might not be the perfect solution. But at least you can now rebind keys. I hope you like it.
With this patch there are 10 maps in the game now, and more will be added over time. I try to make the maps somewhat unique so it doesn't feel like you are repeating the same map, just with different paths.
Thank you again for your ongoing support. I hope you enjoy the game, and thank you for playing ːsteamhappyː
Cheers ~Cakez
I have been reading your feedback and made quite a few balancing changes regarding "Bay Harbour Butcher" and "Mountain Trail". I understand that many of you have hit a wall in those maps, and I apologize for the badly implemented mechanics.
English, Deutsch, Español, Português, Italiano, Türkçe, Polski, Russian, Ukrainian
I understand that many of you want more skill points to fill out the skill trees. Is this enough? ːsteamhappyː
It's very tedious to pull the boss just because you accidentally hit him. Or to get nuked because you walk around with Tangy. As a solution, I added an aggro meter that fills with vision and every attack. The aggro reduces slowly over time if no target is in sight.
In addition to those changes, I have further done minor tweaks to the spawn patterns, as well as some changes to boss damage and enemy health. (Full list of changes below)
When you start the game for the first time, you are now prompted to select your language. You can always change the language from the main menu at any time. Thank you for all the volunteers that have helped me translate the game. It's not perfect, but it's a good start, so THANK YOU!
New option, "Disable Screen Shake" has been added to the options menu
Added an eye toggle button to the skill tree to show/hide nodes
Added an eye toggle button to the level to show/hide all UI elements
Skill point cap has been raised to 520 MAX
Added 8 New Items (Stone Hammer, Ban Hammer, Ivy Bow, Venom Bow, Pumpkin Lord, Pumpkin King, Ultra Vision Goggles and Emerald Bow)
Orks health has been reduced from 12.000 -> 10.000
Fixed a bug that allowed for infinite Shield Orbs. Sorry guys^^
Fixed other UI bugs, crashes & oddities.
Thank you very much for playing my game and giving me feedback. I totally understand that the game is still missing quite a few things and the difficulty is still not there yet. But I'm sure we'll get there.
Cheers ~Cakez
Hey guys,
Take any items, toss it in, stir, and voilà, you can choose any item of the same tier!
Since many of you asked for this, it's actually quite relaxing to play now. Thank you for the feedback!
Since a lot of you were outright rage-quitting trying to beat "The Bay Harbour Butcher", I have done some changes, so that this map should now be "winnable". Catapults now die when the boss dies!
I'm sorry for the poor balancing. I have tested the map mostly alone on my knowledge, and made it WAY TOO HARD.
Minor tweaks/changes & bug fixes
You can no longer earn Skillpoints past the cap of 420 (displays "MAX!" now)
Some improvements have been made to the font on odd resolutions, still needs more work, tho
New! Option in the settings to control Tangy level ups by hand! Click the level up button & choose relics
The Tutorial can now be skipped
Inactive window no longer plays buttons sounds
Tangy is now invincible for 2s after reviving
New items in the inventory now glow
Thank you for your incredible support, and I hope you have fun with these changes! Cheers, ~Cakez
Hey guys,
finally after four long years of development with ups and downs, the game is finally coming out!
I hope you enjoy the game! And thank you for the long lasting support ːsteamhappyː
Cheers ~Cakez
Hello my brothers,
my game is finally releasing. To showcase all the changes & mechanics of the game, I made a gameplay trailer.
Hope you guys like it!
Here is a short overview of the features:
Equip & combine items. You have up to four slots on each hero. Create crazy builds, and make damage numbers go crazy!
A deep stat system allows you to create your own builds & strategy.
Each with unique mechanics and abilities to overcome.
Test your builds against an unending swarm of enemies and rank up against other players to see who can stay alive the longest.
Hope you have fun in Tangy TD and thank you very much for the support until now!
Cheers, Cakez
It all started with a somewhat joke post on Discord by a fan of the game. But it quickly turned into an idea, and the idea into reality. I know some of you really liked the Oranges, but it's time to say goodbye.
I understand that this change might upset some of you, but in all honesty, I have been looking to change them for the longest time, and I feel a lot happier with this change.
Maybe in the future there will be a patch and or update to bring them back.
In any case, cheers
Cakez
Hey there,
it's been a long road but I'm happy to finally announce the release of the official Tangy TD Demo page.
3 Classes (Ranger, Defender, Healer)
BIG Metaprogression Skilltree
4 Maps with Challenge mode & Leaderboard each
over 40 Items to explore & equip/combine on Tangys
I'm excited to unveil my latest trailer, featuring a sneak peek at the new content I've been crafting behind the scenes. This trailer highlights the new gameplay experience you can expect from the game. I plan on leaning more into the TFT(Teamfight Tactics) item progression, since this has been to most well received feature of the game.
Hope you guys like it! There will be 3 classes (Defender, Ranger, Healer) available to play, a giant Skilltree, around 50 items, a bunch of weapons, challenges and much more! Please let me know what you think, I am open for all your feedback!
I will of course keep updating and adding free content to the game! THANK YOU
