Full Steam announcements and update articles for this title.
We hope you've all been doing well since our last development update! The team has been hard at work on some of the biggest additions to Tamer since Early Access launched, but before we dive into what's coming, we wanted to kick things off with a little gift for everyone.
This year marks America's 250th birthday, and we wanted to celebrate with the entire Tamer community.
Whether you're playing from the United States or anywhere else in the world, every player will receive the new America 250 Costume Pack completely free with this update.
Victor, Sheela, Trel, Galmine, and Kacerie have all received patriotic new outfits that can be worn throughout gameplay, cinematics, and romance scenes.
It's our way of saying thank you for supporting Tamer during Early Access. We hope you have fun taking them into the jungle.
We've also seen plenty of questions about our exclusive Day One Supporter rewards.
The Blind Bunny and Pajama Party costume packs are still on track to arrive before the end of this month.
These outfits were created specifically to thank everyone who purchased Tamer during launch week at the original Early Access price.
Once those rewards have been distributed, both costume packs will become optional DLC for anyone who would still like to add them to their collection.
We're also working on additional outfits that can be earned by playing the upcoming Deep Jungle Endless Hunt, giving players even more cosmetic rewards to unlock as development continues.
Endless Hunt Continues to Take Shape
Our biggest development focus remains the Deep Jungle Endless Hunt, and it's quickly becoming the largest gameplay feature we've built since entering Early Access.
Unlike the story campaign, Endless Hunt is designed around combat, progression, replayability, and seeing how long you can survive against increasingly dangerous dinosaur waves.
Over the past few weeks we've been building:
Wave-based dinosaur encounters
Progressively increasing enemy difficulty
Experience and reward progression
Environmental hazards and combat modifiers
New enemy health bars showing dinosaur names and levels
Custom objectives and interface improvements
A brand-new Deep Jungle arena built specifically for this mode
We've also continued polishing the arena itself with improved foliage, lighting, crystal effects, particles, and other visual improvements.
There's still balancing and testing ahead of us, but Endless Hunt is moving from prototype into a fully playable game mode.
Another major milestone is our new Cooking Mini-Game, which has officially entered beta.
Rather than simply selecting recipes from a menu, cooking is built around a series of short interactive steps designed to make preparing meals feel satisfying without becoming repetitive.
Galmine prepares meals for the tribe, but each companion has different tastes and preferences, meaning you'll often prepare similar ingredients using different methods.
A huge amount of work has gone into new animations, visual effects, interface elements, and interactive sequences. We're excited to start sharing gameplay footage soon, although there's still sound design and lighting polish left to complete.
Combat continues to evolve as we expand the behavior of the island's dinosaurs.
The Deinonychus has received an aggressive new three-hit bite combo for higher-level encounters.
The Dilophosaurus is receiving a new acid projectile attack, while the Europelta is gaining a powerful shockwave attack capable of disrupting nearby players.
Behind the scenes, we've also expanded the systems that support projectiles, environmental hazards, unblockable attacks, hit reactions, and other combat effects. These improvements will make it easier for us to create more varied dinosaur encounters in future updates.
Development also continues on our new NSFW Cinematic Mode, which we're currently expecting to complete later this month.
This feature will allow romance scenes to play automatically using cinematic camera work while still giving players the option to take manual control whenever they wish.
We've also completed backend improvements that will make future scene development significantly easier, along with a number of animation and audio fixes.
Alongside these larger features, we've continued improving the core game.
Improved heavy spear attack animations
New combat particle effects
Better hit reactions
Improved execution detection
Floating damage numbers now in testing
Improved enemy health bars
Better objective markers
Improved navigation indicators
Improved music transitions
Removed the persistent low-health screen effect
Added brightness calibration when starting the game
Improved Skill Stat interface
Renamed "Day Complete" to "Quests Complete"
Player feedback continues to drive our priorities, and we've completed a large number of fixes, including:
Fixed progression incorrectly carrying into New Game
Skill points now correctly carry over into New Game
Fixed Day 2 gathering progression
Fixed incorrect Day Recap character icons
Fixed clothing issues during races
Fixed loading transition problems
Fixed multiple dinosaur AI issues
Fixed Hope's incorrect crest colors
Fixed missing skin materials
Reduced hair clipping on Trel
Improved mounted animations and riding IK
Updated tutorial and objective text
Removed unnecessary dialogue icons
Thank you to everyone who has submitted bug reports, save files, screenshots, and feedback. Every report helps us make Tamer better.
Our immediate priorities remain the same: delivering a polished Deep Jungle Endless Hunt, finishing the Cooking Mini-Game, expanding dinosaur combat, and continuing development on Block 2.
Endless Hunt is shaping up to be something very different from the story campaign. It's built around replayability, character progression, unlockable rewards, and surviving against increasingly difficult dinosaur encounters.
At the same time, we're continuing to improve every part of Tamer based on your feedback while building new story content for future updates.
Thank you again for all of your support, reviews, bug reports, and suggestions. We're excited to show you what comes next.
Much Love and Dinosaurs,
The Ride the Lion Studios Team

Hello to all of our players around the world!
One of the biggest questions we've been receiving since Early Access launched is simple: "When is Block 2 coming?" Today, we'd like to share our current roadmap, some of the major features we're working on, and where we expect Tamer to be headed over the coming months.
One of the biggest questions we've seen since Early Access launched is: "When can we expect Block 2?". We've been seeing this question everywhere, and we're excited to finally share a little more about where things currently stand.
While development timelines can always shift during Early Access, we wanted to provide the most transparent estimate we can at this stage. Block 2 is already in an alpha-playable state internally, but it still needs to be updated with many of the new systems and improvements we're building, including taming and fort-building minigames, cooking minigames, additional side content, and other gameplay enhancements that are being integrated across the entire game.
This expansion is also going to be applied to the Block 1 content you’ve already received, which will significantly increase the amount and quality of content available in Tamer beyond what was initially planned.
Based on our current planning, our very conservative estimate is:
July 2026: Combat difficulty settings, additional combat improvements, NSFW updates
August 2026: Deep Jungle Endless Hunt (more below)
September 2026: Core new gameplay systems (taming, cooking and fort building minigames, combat improvements, etc. detailed below) completed and integrated.
October 2026: Additional Block 1 content, quest updates, and system improvements released.
December 2026: Target window for Block 2 content (Sheela romance, additional Galmine and Trel romance quests).
These dates are intentionally cautious and may change as development continues, but we'd rather under-promise and over-deliver than the other way around. As always, we'll continue sharing progress and keeping everyone informed as we move forward.
But we want to give you more to do ASAP. So with that, we’d like to introduce you to…
As we continue expanding Tamer, we wanted to create a new way for players to test their skills, earn exclusive rewards, and continue progressing beyond the current story content. Because of that, a feature originally planned for much later in development is being moved to the front of the roadmap: the Deep Jungle Endless Hunt!
This new game mode is a Survival Roguelike that takes place deep within the most dangerous region of Dinosaurland. Players will first encounter the Deep Jungle as part of Block 2's story content, making this mode an early glimpse into one of the deadliest locations still waiting ahead.
Upon reaching the current end of the available story content, you'll unlock the Deep Jungle Endless Hunt. From there, you'll be able to access it by leaving the fort through the gate.
Once you activate the hunt, you'll be dropped directly into the Deep Jungle and challenged to survive against endless waves of increasingly dangerous dinosaurs. Every run is an opportunity to push farther, improve your strategy, and discover just how long you can survive against overwhelming odds.
Our goal is to make this mode feel meaningful, not just endless. The deeper you push into the hunt, the greater the rewards you'll earn. Eventually, exclusive outfits, cosmetics, achievements, trophies, and other unlockables will be tied to your performance, giving players long-term goals to pursue and reasons to keep coming back.
The Deep Jungle Endless Hunt is also intended to grow alongside Tamer itself. As we continue expanding and refining combat, we'll introduce new enemies, encounters, rewards, random events, gameplay modifiers, and additional challenges to keep the experience fresh throughout Early Access and beyond.
Combined with the new Chapter Select system, the Deep Jungle Endless Hunt will ensure that every major update gives players something new to explore, master, and earn, even as we continue building toward future story content.
In addition to the Deep Jungle Endless Hunt, you can expect several major additions to Tamer over the coming months, beginning with new combat difficulty options.
The current version of Tamer will become the default Casual difficulty, allowing players to enjoy the story, characters, and adventure at a relaxed pace.
For players seeking a greater challenge, Normal difficulty will feature more aggressive dinosaurs, increased damage, improved enemy behavior, and other balance adjustments that place a greater emphasis on combat mastery, character progression, equipment upgrades, and consumable buffs.
Finally, we'll be introducing Hardcore difficulty. In this mode, dinosaurs will hit significantly harder, survive longer, and punish mistakes much more severely. Hardcore will continue to evolve throughout Early Access as we gather player feedback and refine the experience, but we know many of you are eager for a true challenge, so we want to get it into your hands as soon as possible.
We're also adding new combat mechanics that make encounters feel more reactive and dynamic, giving dinosaurs additional ways to counterattack and encouraging players to engage with combat systems beyond simple button-mashing.
Of all the major systems we've previously discussed, the Cooking System will be the first to arrive.
It's important to note that both the Cooking and Fort Building features are designed as integrated minigames that support Tamer's story, progression, and daily gameplay loop rather than standalone survival-sandbox systems.
Throughout your adventure, Galmine will provide optional gathering requests that encourage you to hunt, fish, forage, and collect ingredients from across the island. At the end of the day, those ingredients can be transformed into hearty meals for yourself and the tribe. Beyond simply providing food, each recipe offers unique benefits and bonuses that can aid you in combat, exploration, and survival, while making the fort feel more alive as you help provide for the community around you.
Recipes will feature a variety of primitive cooking techniques, including hot-stone searing, flint-knife filleting, mortar-and-pestle preparation, roasting, smoking, and more. Our goal is to create a system that feels rewarding, immersive, and cozy while still serving an important role in your overall progression.
The Cooking Minigame is expected to arrive in September alongside the first wave of Fort Building minigames and Defense systems. As development continues, these features will be integrated into the existing Block 1 content before we begin releasing Block 2 and beyond.
Each of these systems is being designed not only to expand future content, but also to enrich the days that players are already experiencing today.
We're also continuing to improve and expand Tamer's romance content.
Within the next month or so, we plan to introduce a new Cinematic Mode for romance scenes. Players who prefer a more cinematic experience will be able to sit back and enjoy professionally directed camera movements and scene framing, while those who prefer a more hands-on approach will still be able to take manual control at any time.
We're also working on visual improvements to several existing systems, including updates to fluid effects and other presentation elements to improve overall quality and immersion throughout the game's romance content.
Customization is another area we plan to expand significantly throughout Early Access.
Here's a preview of one of the upcoming outfit sets, Blind Bunny, which will be available in both black and white variants:
As a thank you to everyone who supported Tamer during its original $40 Day One launch period, both the Blind Bunny and Pajama Party outfit sets will be provided free of charge to qualifying players who purchased Tamer during the original Day One launch period at the original $40 price point.
IF YOU HAVE NOT REACHED OUT TO US YET and purchased the game on Day One at it's original price, please do so by the end of of this month (June). For direction on how to claim your rewards please see the end of this post: We expect the Blind Bunny set to arrive around the beginning of July, with the Pajama Party set following shortly afterward.
Beyond these two promised rewards, we plan to continue expanding character customization throughout Early Access with a combination of achievement-based outfit unlocks, in-game cosmetic rewards, and optional DLC outfit packs. Our goal is to give players more ways to customize their favorite characters while also providing meaningful rewards for progression, exploration, and completing challenges throughout the game.
To summarize, here's what we're working toward over the next several months:
Blind Bunny and Pajama Party outfit rewards for qualifying $40USD (or equivalent) Day One Supporters (July). Can be purchased as DLC if you didn’t buy the game at this price.
Normal and Hardcore difficulty settings, combat improvements, and enemy AI updates (July)
Deep Jungle Endless Hunt Survival Roguelike mode (August)
Cooking Minigame, Fort Building Minigames, Fort Defense Minigames, and other major gameplay systems integrated into Tamer (September)
Additional Block 1 quests, activities, romance content, progression updates, and system improvements (October)
Block 2 content expansion, including Sheela's romance route and additional Galmine and Trel content (Current target: December 2026)
We'll continue updating our roadmap each month as development progresses. Player feedback, testing results, and the occasional development hurdle may influence priorities and timelines along the way, but our goal is to remain transparent throughout Early Access and keep everyone informed about what we're working on, what has changed, and what players can expect next.
Thank you all for your feedback, bug reports, suggestions, screenshots, videos, reviews, and support during Early Access. Every report we read and every conversation we have with the community helps shape the future of Tamer. We're building this game alongside you, and we're excited to continue expanding Dinosaurland together.
If you're enjoying Tamer and like the direction we're taking the game, please consider leaving a review and sharing it with friends. Every bit of support helps us continue growing the game and reaching new players.
See you in Dinosaurland!

Today's patch is now live!
One of the biggest additions in this update is a new save recovery and chapter select system. As we've continued expanding Tamer, especially the first 10 days of content, it became clear that we needed a more reliable way for players to jump back into the game whenever major updates are released.
Starting today, once you've completed a day during a normal playthrough, that day will be unlocked in the new Chapter Select menu found on the main screen. Choosing Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, and so on will start you at the beginning of that day with all previous days marked as fully completed.
This system gives us a safety net during Early Access. If a future update causes save compatibility issues, or if a save becomes corrupted, you'll still be able to jump back into the game near where you left off without having to replay everything from the beginning. We expect this feature to remain throughout much of Early Access before eventually being replaced with a more robust long-term solution as we approach Version 1.0.
Beyond the new save and chapter systems, today's patch includes a large number of bug fixes, balance adjustments, quality-of-life improvements, and player-requested changes. We won't cover every fix here, but below are some of the highlights from today's update:
Fullscreen Mode Resolution bugs hotfix
Updated translations
Fixed physics interactions in several cutscenes
Made new language selection before EULA
Updating many SFX classifications so they are within control of the master volume
NSFW Hut level lighting update
D10S7 Kacerie rescue sequence Hope animation bug repaired
Added retry button to race sequences
Fixed spear fishing not working properly on lower setting
Fixed gamepad not working on D10 when talking to the female characters
Reduced the emission (bloom) on the RaceGate's material
Fixed sprint toggle on the gamepad not working
BP_Dino_Erlikosaurus: Tweak jaw dmg shape so bite attacks miss less
TamerHumanCharacter: Halve delay between target switching, when target dies.
Fixed end day grade final grade calculation issues
Fixes for outfit physics for all of the girls
Cranked up the lights in D8 carnotaurus cave shooting sequence for visibility
Fixed stuck locations in Day1 walk with more blocking volumes
Made it so you can queue special attacks in the middle of any primary or secondary combo
Execute level sequences now align to terrain instead of staying level while the ground tilts underneath
Please report any bugs using the form on ridethelion.com or by joining our discord. Much love, and Dinosaurs - RtLS

* Price may very based upon region.
For those of you already playing, thank you all for your support, feedback, bug reports, and enthusiasm during Early Access. Your input is already helping shape future updates, and we're excited to continue building the game alongside the community. And with that, let’s dive into what’s cooking under the hood.
The first patch for Tamer will go live soon, and it will feature an updated save system. We’ve made the decision to add a ton more content to the game, especially the first 10 days, so we need a save system that is going to be stable and allow players to start from wherever they want in order to enjoy the new content.
As a result, we’re adding a simple chapter select to the main menu. Once you get past a day during a normal run, it will unlock for selection in this menu. Selecting day 2, 3, 4, etc. will start you at the beginning of that day with 100% completion of all previous days regardless of your previous performance.
That way if your current save is ever incompatible, corrupted, etc. the current one will be able to override it and get you going with the best possible status. This feature will remain in place throughout much of Early Access and will eventually be replaced with something more robust by 1.0.
In addition to the new save system, we’ve fixed a ton of bugs. We can’t go through all of them here, but these are some of the upcoming patch notes for those that are interested:
We’re in the process of finalizing the design and then the project management of all the additional content we want to add to the first ten days of the game. Next week we’re planning to make a post to go over that schedule so you can see how all of the changes will be rolled out to Steam and know when you can expect to play upgraded and/or new content.
Thanks again for your support! See you next week.
We again want to give a HUGE thanks to those of you who purchased the game on day one at our original $39.99USD or equivalent price point. You saw that price tag and STILL purchased the game and that means a lot. We learned a lot that day and adjusted accordingly. Greetings to all of our new players! Tamer: King of Dinosaurs is now live on Steam in Early Access.
So what exactly does that mean?
Just like we broke it down on our Steam store page, we currently have the first of three planned blocks of content available for the game. This features 10 playable days of content out of what is an approximately 30 days calendar inside the game (not counting the narrative time skips!) we currently have planned. The Early Access of the game is currently Block 1, but we are going to be making dramatic quest and game improvements to this section while we work on Block 2 and 3.
This launch represents the beginning of a conversation with our community. Throughout development, our internal team and dedicated beta testers have provided invaluable feedback that has already helped shape the game. Many of the improvements and refinements you see today are a direct result of their input.
As we move through Early Access, we fully expect the game to continue evolving. We'll be listening closely to player feedback, identifying what resonates most with the community, and making adjustments where needed to create the best possible version of Tamer. Some of the plans outlined below are already in active development, while others are ideas we're exploring based on feedback we've received so far.
Finally, if you like what we're building, please help us spread the word. Share Tamer: King of Dinosaurs with your friends, post about it on social media, leave a (hopefully positive) review, create content, or tell your favorite communities about the game.
We're a small team with a big vision, and every Early Access purchase, review, recommendation, stream, video, and social media post helps more people discover Tamer. The more successful the game is, the more resources we can reinvest into development, which means more content, more features, and a better experience for everyone.
Your support genuinely makes a difference, and we're incredibly grateful for it.
Here’s the list of general planned improvements:
Post-Launch Content
Cinematic NSFW Mode
One of the most heavily requested features was a way to play fully “hands off” during the romance scenes in terms of the controller, so we’re making a cinematic mode that uses preset cameras to give sexy, sweeping shots of the action in the NSFW module so you can just watch it like any adult video - but it’s also able to be manually engaged at any time!
This is definitely going in the game, but requires us to enhance our current control system and will take a bit of time to implement.
Bring the Overworld to Life
Tamer is already a good-looking game, but we want the overworld to feel really alive every day. That means more neutral dinos, more encounters with wildlife in general and a greater degree of biodiversity.
We’re already in the process of creating and sourcing assets to pull this off, so you should see some of these changes in the game relatively soon.
Expand Harem & Tribe Interaction
We’ll be giving all of the women additional voice lines for every day in the cave where they talk about the current events of the story and even compliment Victor on his accomplishments.
Interactive dinosaurs inside your camp will also be a new feature, so you can pet them, feed them, and give them gifts. There might even be some light customization added.
Loading Screen Improvement
We know there’s too many loading screens in Tamer, and we’re currently optimizing under the hood to remove as many as possible!
You should see big improvements here soon.
More Side Quests & Combat Every Day
Tamer is primarily a narrative-driven experience, but we know side quests are important. On most of the days there are multiple quests in place to allow you to level up and unlock outfits, recipes, and special attacks.
However, we want to add EVEN MORE stuff to do every day! That means more side quests, more combat, more flexibility in how you approach each day, and especially more engaging content related to your love interests.
Each lady will have her own set of quests in the game that relates to whatever will earn her affection.
Sheela - Unique mob hunting quests featuring extra difficult, rare dinosaurs with special trophies that can be collected and displayed in your camp.
Galmine - Gathering and cooking quests where you make incredible food and unlock permanent buffs for your characters.
Trel - Outfit creation quests where you find rare materials and make some awesome and sexy things for the tribe to wear.
Kacerie - A combination of combat and gathering quests that allow you to find rare materials that allow for cosmetic creation for the tribe.
Crafting, Cooking, Gardening & Gifts
To improve engagement with the ladies of Tamer, we’re considering adding minigames for each of them that would again relate to their skills.
That means when you’re in the camp you can use Galmine to cook meals, customize weapons with Sheela, make dresses as Trel, and stir dyes and make soap with Kacerie.
These minigames would be fun and engaging and give you the opportunity to live through them and feel like you’re cultivating a survival culture within your tribe.
We’re also considering having a garden Galmine and the group can tend to, something very cozy and zen.
Along with this, Victor would be able to find special items out in the world and bring them back to the fort to create special gifts for his women. Giving them to the girls would earn extra experience points and also a nice reaction and eventually special rewards.
We’re also going to improve the appearance of weapons when you level them from 1-5 and give them each a more unique look. Customization is also being considered, such as adding feathers, paint or teeth/claws to them.
Additional Enemies
The thing that Tamer needs the most right now if we’re going to add more content is more enemy variety. While we do have a decent amount of primary enemies (with three levels of difficulty identified by color), minibosses and boss fights in the game at the moment, there’s room for a lot more.
Some of the enemy units we are looking to add include the following:
Pelagornis - the orange birds you currently fight in the chase module will become available to engage in the overworld as regular mobs.
Primal Boar - a super dangerous and fast, tanky enemy that requires special tactics to defeat, such as inflicting status effects like bleed.
Insects - cave dwelling, glowing, monstrous flesh-eaters of a special design, giant spiders, centipedes, etc. All sorts of creepy crawlies to fight.
Additional dinosaurs - small, human-sized and large dinos all requiring different engagement patterns and tools to handle compared to the usual cast to give the game more variety.
Grappling QTE enemy encounters - these would be like a minigame where dangerous mobs leap out at you from the foliage or water and require some special sequences to be cleared to escape unharmed but also reward XP.
Fort Building Expansion
At the moment we have limited fort building in the game, such as cutting down trees for lumber. Our initial philosophy when building the game with such a small team, already making such an ambitious project, was that there’s no way we could make something good enough to compete with the giants in this genre like Valheim, the Forest, ARK, and others that allow fully customizable shelter to be built step by step.
However, we think we can at least create a fun and engaging series of gathering tasks and minigames that would allow for some fun construction projects as you build your home. This would include log dragging with dinosaurs, setting the posts and wrapping them in cordage, etc.
This would probably be the biggest investment for us out of anything on the list, but we know it’s going to be one of the most requested features, so we are making it happen.
Fort Defense
Going along with fort building, we also want to make it so you have to defend your fort as it’s being built. That means melee combat along with a modified version of our chase system that would allow you to stand inside the partially constructed frame and shoot dinosaurs with a bow or stab them with a spear, whack-a-mole style.
We’ve got some solid ideas about how to make this work, so it’s something we think will make your playthrough a lot more engaging.
Difficulty Settings
We made Tamer: King of Dinosaurs so it’s more on the easy side for launch so players would definitely be able to clear all 10 days of content without major problems. However, the difficulty is definitely going to be too casual for seasoned veterans.
As a result, we want to add an additional setting where dinosaurs do more damage and the player is more reliant on food buffs, healing items, and weapon upgrades. Hardcore difficulty is also planned, which will make any player require optimal performance.
If you clear these higher difficulty levels, you’ll be rewarded with skins and other fun stuff!
Taming Minigame
Taming dinosaurs in our game is purely cinematic at the moment. We considered adding a simple ARK-like interface, but the dinosaurs in our game are all significant to the story. They have names, personalities, and we don’t want encountering and taming them to be something simple.
While we love the cutscenes we’ve made to introduce them, we feel there should be a gameplay component to this as well - something that would use the character’s Eye-Q system as a neural interface so Victor can complete a puzzle by joining minds.
We’re still at the concept phase with this, but in terms of the narrative it’s going to be one of the most impactful things we can add.
Expand the Race System
In addition to making dinosaur races replayable at any point in the game, we want to add a crafting angle where better saddles and reins provide customization and enable higher top speeds, handling, drifting, and so on. If you manage to get the S rank on different levels, you’ll unlock special race king/queen outfits for the tribe.
That is all the “general” game improvements we’d like to make. Below we will detail out the specific and granular changes we want to make to Block 1. This is the game included in the initial Early Release and ends when Victor brings Kacerie back to the fort. We think this will add 4-6 hours of gameplay to the first section of the game.
FULL CALENDAR REVIEW
The following section is a comprehensive plan for all the days of the Early Access game, including the ones not currently present in early access. That means it contains spoilers for block one (if you haven’t played it yet) and also blocks two and three.

Day 8:
Rework the europelta, making them tougher and expanding their moveset
Change the deer in the carnotaurus chase to pachycephalosaurus and turn them into charging hazardous obstacles
Day 9:
Expand day 9 so you need to construct the fort, clear the bird corpses and also defend the area from attacking dinosaurs
Brand New Additional Day before the Current Day 10!
More corpse cleanup and defending against attacking scavengers
Add a boss fight that requires fort defense
Construction tasks inside the fort, including the walls, making Hope’s pen, building the hut, work stations, etc.
Day 10:
Improve the deinonychus alpha fight and the fort raid sequence
Additional shots added to the Kacerie rescue sequence to give more context and action
Expand the chase sequence so they do more loops around the valley and there’s more action
And that’s a wrap for the planned improvements for block 1.
BLOCKS 2 & 3
If you REALLY don’t mind spoilers, you can read ahead and see what we have planned for blocks 2 and 3!
Block 2 of Tamer is where things really start to pick up in terms of the plot and action. Kacerie has joined the tribe and everyone begins to feel the atmosphere of the tribe change as they try to assimilate their new member.
With the raid on the fort defended, they realize they need walls even bigger and better to keep the dinosaurs out. This means more construction and pushing out farther into Dinosaurland to find the resources necessary to make a larger fort happen.
In addition to these construction quests, a new and deadly foe from the deep jungle emerges and threatens to hunt down Sheela, and she will need your help to survive! This proves to be your chance to demonstrate your worth and reach the culmination of the romance that has been building since the start of the game.
You’ll also experience additional romance quests with your two other women, Trel and Galmine.
This block has a new, crazy chase sequence featuring the previously mentioned menace and also three new dinosaurs for you to tame and race around the map!
There will also be two new boss fights and additional basic enemy types to fight, as well as access to the most dangerous part of the map, the deep jungle, where the truly vicious predators live.
Block 3 will be the conclusion of the game and have additional romance quests for all three of the original members of the tribe. But that’s not all - we’ve also included Kacerie’s full romance arc in the final act as well!
Expect to see chase sequences against entire packs of carnotauruses, more fort defense battles, more boss fights and a whole lot of dino racing. You’ll get to explore all of the remaining maps and also return to the deep jungle for the hardest boss battle in the game.
Once the final dino villains have fallen and all is well with the fort, you’ll get to have an awesome party!
We’re also looking into including one final full harem scene featuring the entire tribe that takes place here, so look forward to that as well.
THANK YOU!
Thanks again for playing Tamer: King of Dinosaurs. We have a lot of new content coming your way and a lot of improvements for the content already available.
We hope you’re as excited to play it as we are to make it, and we’ll deliver a roadmap explaining the deliverables soon.
In addition, we want to assure everyone that throughout Early Access we will maintain open contact with everyone about everything going on at the studio and the current plans for Tamer.
Your support means everything and we will absolutely make it worth your while!

Release Date: May 26, 2026
Hello everyone!
Unfortunately, we need to push back our Early Access release to the end of May.
In this post, we want to go over the reasons for the change of plans and also give some more details about the Deluxe Edition.
First off, the whole team here at Tamer: King of Dinosaurs wants to give a massive shout-out to our incredible community.
Our Nextfest demo was an absolute blast, and seeing that 80% positive review score, along with a massive surge in wish lists, has us absolutely hyped! It’s clear you guys are as ready for this prehistoric adventure as we are.
While we loved hearing your praise for the visuals, the cinematic cutscenes, and the BIG swing we are taking. We listened to your feedback on things we needed to fix:
-We're refining the combat mechanics and controls to ensure the moment-to-moment action feels as impactful as possible.
- We're adding additional language support for Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish.
- We're streamlining cinematic cutscenes to improve loading time.
All of the above list will be done by our originally planned launch date at the end of this month (April). However, that would leave us 0 days to do internal play testing with the build, and we don't want to launch Early Access without doing our best QA attempts. An additional 4 weeks will give us time to break the game a bunch, fix it, and then try to break it again before you guys get the chance to play it. As you all know, it's near impossible to put out a game with zero issues (especially with a team as small as ours), but we want to do our best to ensure you all have the best experience right from the get go.
The good news is that things are now progressing well! We've made a ton of improvements since the demo launched, and the differences will be clear in the final product. We just REALLY need the extra 4 weeks to make sure we go into Early Access with the least amount of bugs and the most features as possible. We appreciate you understanding and patience. We know you are all excited to play Tamer: King of Dinosaurs.
We also want to announce some details about the deluxe edition, as we've made time to make it even better!
This is all included in the Deluxe Edition of Tamer: King of Dinosaurs:
It contains over 120 pages of content, including some super spicy NSFW artwork for all of the main girls in the game! This turned out incredible, so we wanted to show you some previews:
Goth Mommy outfits for all four of the main girls, which was one of the most popular poll options for an outfit we've ever had:
Tamer: King of Dinosaurs books 1 and 2 in both ebook and audiobook format! This way you can read the books either before or after you've played the game and get the full narrative experience.
The Official Soundtrack in lossless quality. This also includes some unreleased and alternate versions of tracks, bringing the total to over 35.
Note to all Ride The Lion Studio Patreon supporters: if you have a lifetime donation total of $40 by launch, you will be sent a key for the standard edition. At $50 or more, you will receive the deluxe edition. All Patreons who have ever pledged to the legendary tier or have a supporting total of $70 or more will receive an exclusive in-game outfit, which you can see below:
Hello Everyone!
Steam Next Fest has come to a close recently, and the team at Ride the Lion Studios is floored by the response. What started as a small project fueled by a 6-person team and a "stretched penny" budget has turned into something thousands of you have now played.
We wanted to address the feedback we’ve gathered and lay out our launch roadmap.
Your feedback was incredibly consistent, which makes our job much easier. We are already hard at work on the following:
Chase Module & Camera: We hear you - the controls need more "weight," and the camera needs to stop fighting the player. We are tightening the responsiveness and smoothing out the tracking.
Audio & EQ: Some voices were boisterous, while others were whispers. We are doing a full pass on volume normalization and EQ to ensure a professional audio experience.
Environment Navigation: We’re smoothing out the "invisible snags" in the terrain to prevent players from getting stuck during walking sequences and falling through the floor.
Steam Deck Optimization: Our lead art engineer is officially on a mission. We are optimizing textures and controller mapping to ensure a "Great on Deck" experience for Early Access.
We intentionally gave players a "director’s toolkit" for the adult scenes, but we realize we threw you into the deep end without a lifejacket.
The Fix: We are implementing a clear, concise tutorial for the module to help you master the controls and get the most out of the experience. Additionally, we are considering adding a cinematic mode that will provide a “hands-off” approach so you can focus on, you know, taking care of other things while enjoying the adult content.
As many noted, combat was absent from the demo. We replaced our old system late in development with something much more engaging, but we refused to ship a "half-baked" version for Next Fest.
The Result: The new, polished combat system is fully integrated and will be playable starting on Day 1 of Early Access. We are also planning to update the demo before EA to gather feedback on combat and other features yet to be revealed.
Whether you loved the demo or gave us "tough love" feedback, you are helping a small indie studio realize a three-year dream. We are dedicated to making adult games that balance deep storytelling with genuine gameplay.
Have more thoughts? Drop them in the comments below. We’re reading EVERYTHING.
Sincerely,
The Ride the Lion Studios Team
Hey everyone, thank you very much to everyone who jumped into the demo and shared your feedback!
The demo is just a small portion of the full game, and we are hard at work on the upcoming release.
Meanwhile, we wanted to showcase some unlockable outfits that you can select in-game to change your favorite girl's appearance.
*Keep in mind that the upcoming images are not final and are all works in progress.
Galmine is a kind soul and a true optimist, holding the group together with her relentless positivity. The people of her world are best known for being master gardeners, even though their planet is hostile to life.
Since she's biologically limited due to her world's level of gravity and cannot run, even when in danger, she will always need someone to protect her, and that's where you come in!
Even though her culture has a laid-back nature and proclivity for mutual and collective love, she's ready to abandon those customs just to be yours, and yours only, forever. And you'll soon find out that she's very open to sharing you with the other girls, and maybe love them too.

In a pinch, she can channel raw energy into her hands, storing up to two devastating Lance Strikes at a time. Each blast unleashes a focused beam of destruction, precise and stylish. After firing them, she needs 14 full days to recharge, and that’s when she’ll need your help the most!

Lacey carries herself with an easy, natural sensuality that never feels forced. She doesn’t need to try. Hey everyone!
This update has some great additions, including a new girl! You have no idea how eager we were to share all of this with you!
Don't forget to wishlist it!
We're showing off the layout of the final chase of the game. The tribe has found some unwanted apex predators making a nest in their territory, so they hatch a plan to lure them into a trap and take them out one by one.
We're trying some new stuff here that we've never done before in order to make the end of the game special, and it's working well so far.
We're probably not going to show more of this one-off because it would spoil too much, so expect to play it in full once the entire game releases, but we may throw it into one of our upcoming early builds.
We got started on Trel's JAV OL (office lady) outfit as soon as it won our supporters' poll, and here's an almost finished preview.
We'll have the full thing ready by the next update, most likely.
Hot damn, that sneaky lace...
While everyone knows by now that the spear is the primary weapon in the game, we're also including two secondaries. The first is a pair of dual axes that function as a fast-paced and skill-based weapon.
You need to get closer to use them, but they inflict great damage and cause bleed easily, which means your enemies will not be able to stay in the fight long after you've carved them up with these bad boys.
We also wanted a very "UNGA" weapon in the game, so we decided to include a big-ass caveman club to dome dinos with when you need that extra oomph in your attacks.
Adding these additional weapons allows us to make Victor more effective against specific dino classes, like ones that have armor and can be flipped to damage their soft underbellies.
Think about delivering a Happy Gilmore to an armored turtle and then stabbing them in the gut once they're on their backs.
It's been a while since we gave the map some love, and we're now back at it. Here are some previews of the additional progress we've made in making mid-level detail passes.
When we started reading the Tamer novels, we came across the stampede sequence in the first novel that had hundreds of dinosaurs running through the valley being chased by Carnotaurus. During that scene, one of the runners smashes through the almost finished starting fort Victor's tribe built and completely demolishes it, sending logs and cordage flying all over the place.
Our first thought immediately after that chapter was a simple one:
"How the fuck are we going to put this in the game?!?"
After all, we're already trying to make a massively ambitious project with a group of six full-time employees and a handful of contractors, and this is just one scene of dozens of other cinematics we have in the game, not to mention the gameplay we also need to complete.
We kicked around the idea of cutting it, doing it off-screen, or just massively scaling the whole thing down, but no matter what we suggested, it just didn't make sense.
This scene, in many ways, is the key catalyst for everything that follows. Without seeing the visceral action on screen, the emotional core that develops as a result just sort of falls apart.
The team talked for a while and finally found a way we could pull it off. It certainly wasn't easy, but for such a small studio, we're proud of what we were able to accomplish - especially with such a short amount of time.
Here you can see the scene mostly complete, but some of the audio, VFX, and especially the lighting still need some work.
We hope you enjoy it!
Much like other modern action games, we've decided to include execution sequences in Tamer. We have three weapons in the game and a variety of enemy dinos, so it's going to take some time to get them done, but here are some snapshots of one of the initial concepts so you can get an idea about the level of violence we're going for, which is "start at Tarantino and then go harder if necessary."
See headline.
We're finishing some orgasm animations as we near release, and this was one of them. High chance it will be included in our early build soon.
We all had one - that popular, seemingly unobtainable girl in high school that every guy would've given his left nut to bang. Well, in Tamer: King of Dinosaurs, Victor Shelby will finally get to live that fantasy.
If you've read the Tamer books, you know that it starts on Earth, and Victor begins his journey of discovery concerning his taming powers at the pool party of Lacey Rogers.
There, he manages to capture a deadly rattlesnake and impress the hell out of everyone present, Lacey especially.
This is a big moment for Victor's character development, and it's unfortunately right after this that he gets abducted by aliens and dumped on a godforsaken dinosaur planet.
So what happened to Lacey? We don't know. She never appeared again in the Tamer books as the story moved away from Earth. Despite this, she became a fan-favorite, and readers asked about her for years.
If that's the case, why did we decide to increase the love interest roster from four to five and include her in the game's NSFW content?
The answer is simple - pacing and quality. The Tamer books are fantastic because they fully respect the female characters and give them true agency in line with their personalities. They don't just jump into bed with Victor. He has to earn their respect first.
Due to that, we didn't have any NSFW content in Tamer for a decent period of time. Including Lacey Rogers as a love interest at the very start of the game allows us to show off everything the game has to offer right off the bat.
The first day of Tamer is a hell of a ride. You'll see an awesome 2.5D intro animatic using parallax and VFX to show everything leading up to Victor's arrival on Dinosaurland, then you'll get chased by deinonychus in the action sequence we've already included in the early build.
After that, you'll meet Sheela and have a flashback of sorts during a fever dream where the NSFW scene with Lacey kicks off, and fulfill your high school fantasies.
Once Victor wakes up in the cave, he'll then meet his tribe (Sheela, Galmine, and Trel) in an extensive cutscene that lays the foundation of the world.
Finally, you'll go hunting and gathering with Sheela and learn combat and fight against those deinonychus you used to run from.
That will give us an excellent, well-rounded picture of what Tamer is all about as a game, and we hope to have the entire first day available on our build soon.
We also updated the lighting on Trel's first NSFW sequence. Here are a couple of rough screenshots to show you how it goes during your initiation into Spider Mommy's good graces:
Along with the day 1 chase in our early builds, we have two cutscenes at the start and end of the sequence. We're working on one of those scenes now where Hope finally has enough and throws Victor off her back.
Look forward to seeing that one added to our supporters' build early next year.
Meanwhile, here's a lovely shot of me in a performance capture suit doing some stunt work.
Don't worry! I'm ok, but my couch definitely wasn't after catching my fat ass upon impact.
Next, we're going to show our execution system's rough animation previews and talk more about some map updates.
We might also show some naked Lacey if you're lucky.
Finally, we'll go over the new build! There will be additional content added for our supporters this month.
Thanks for the support, everyone!
Thank you so much for your support. Don't forget to wishlist Tamer: King of Dinosaurs! See you next month!

Hey everyone!
This update will introduce you to some challenges we encountered while working on the Stampede Sequence and Sheela's Romance.
It's been very rewarding to see the world of Tamer: King of Dinosaurs come to life while listening to all the feedback you brought us.
Don't forget to wishlist it!
Creating this sequence has proven incredibly challenging because of the logistics of including three massive triceratops running behind Victor and Sheela. Keeping these giants moving smoothly within the confines of the environment is challenging, but we've done a good job of it so far, aside from a few minor sections of the track that require additional work.
Coming up with interactions that could utilize the trikes also took some creative brainstorming, but we ultimately found a few fun setups that are working well for us. Pulling off the part where the water extinguishes the fire in front of the player was something we really enjoyed.
This sequence will be made available for testing in the October build later this month.
We're finishing Sheela's Chinese outfit, and we've posted a short preview video of it in action on our public Discord.
We have completed the most complex animation sequence in the game, which is the stampede that happens on day 5.
We need to finish the sound design for this, but once that's done, we plan to post a preview here. For such a small team and budget, it's crazy how we pulled this off!
Look at how scary and badass this fucking Utahraptor is, you guys. Holy hell. This bro is about to chase you through the jungle and try to claw your goddamn face off and eat you and shit.
Are you a bad enough dude to shoot him in the face with a bunch of arrows to keep your harem safe?
We've talked about this character (One-Eye) several times before, but just to reiterate, he's a "Nemesis" style baddy that you encounter several times throughout the game as he tries to chomp Sheela as revenge for shooting him through the dome with an arrow that somehow didn't kill him and only made him more pissed off.
This chase sequence is going to be one of the most intense of the game. We expect to wrap production around the end of this month, so our next internal build will be loaded with TWO chase sequences for you to try!
We're still polishing his animation in particular, but the general direction and flow of the sequence is pretty set at this point. It's also missing the ending, which we don't want to spoil right this moment, but those who get to play our upcoming build will see it!
We'll also be adding more NSFW content, but we're still sorting out who the lucky girl is going to be, so we'll get back to you about that soon.
We recreated one of Tamer's original art pieces in 3D for promo purposes with Galmine, so have a look and let us know how we did:
If you've read book 1 of Tamer: King of Dinosaurs, then you know (MORE SPOILERS) that Trel has a scene where she saves Victor and Sheela from a swarm of orange birds by finally picking up a spear and solo destroying dozens of them.
This is by far the most complex animation sequence in the entire game in terms of character work, and it took a lot of work, but we're 95% done at this point. Now we just need to add lighting and VFX as well as sound, and then we'll have a preview available for you.
For now, you can enjoy some very rough screenshots:
Speaking of spider mommy, Trel's romance scenes are almost finished now as we're currently polishing the orgasm animations and importing them.
We're still in discussions about when to include her in our internal demo tests, but she may be the next girl, and if not, she will be available by the end of the year.
Here are a few previews below:
Have you ever seen a literal lighting bug? Here's Victor experiencing that while plowing Trel on a mountainside.
A small detail, but an important one - we're finishing up Sheela's romance scene with Victor now, which features a full strip sequence. This requires us to do all sorts of little tricks to make the removal of her clothes look realistic without having to do anything too difficult.
Part of this is creating a simulation so we can actually do it in the game's engine, like all our cutscenes, rather than do pre-recorded video files.
We're still working out the kinks in Sheela's big undressing sequence, and we're at the point where the boobies are properly popping, but the bikini and panty slide still needs work.
We also need to clean up the performance capture so her arms don't go through the previously mentioned boobies, and that will be a later step since we're still busy with a lot of other scenes now. But rest assured, this sequence is gonna be legendary.
We're wrapping up the animation for Sheela's first NSFW scene, and this thing is turning out so kino we can hardly contain our excitement. Here are some preview shots for you, but please note these are all rough with no lighting, and Sheela's gonna be buck naked in the final product after the first shot.
We recently completed this basic but crucial environment that's needed for a few cutscenes towards the end of the game. While the sequences that stem from the Carnotaurus nest map are indeed a significant deviation from the books, the action itself is pretty similar.
MILD SPOILERS AHEAD - The tribe will find a carnotaurus nest in the valley and need to do something about it before they are overrun with predators. How they handle it will be revealed once you get to the final day, and the chase sequence that initiates afterwards will be one of the most brutal we'll be including.
Four-legged enemies are tricky to integrate into action games, so we're currently giving some attention to the Kentrosaurus and getting it online. This guy is meant to serve as an early difficulty spike as the second enemy you encounter after the deinonychus.
Victor's old placeholder attacks are getting tossed out, and now we have some real spear-slinging going on. We'll have some previews of the combat system in action by the end of the year, so you can know what to expect from Tamer, which is a lot of dinosaurs getting brutally eviscerated by primitive weapons.
Next month, we'll be wrapping up the One-eye chase and will show you some pictures of that. Expect a new skin for Trel coming from our supporters' poll and, possibly, a Christmas skin!

Wishlist Tamer: King of Dinosaurs NOW!
Hey everyone!
We have so many updates for this one, hope you'll enjoy!
Our next build should be ready next week for our supporters. The world of Tamer: King of Dinosaurs is coming closer and closer to all of us! Don't forget to wishlist it!
Now that the demo has wrapped production, we're focusing on our NSFW objectives, so here's some information about the copious amounts of boning we're about to unleash.
Romancing Sheela in Tamer is one of the best parts of the narrative, and we wanted to make the experience truly unforgettable. This meant creating a special map with a special weather condition - Dinosaurland's very own version of an aurora borealis.
Our senior VFX artist worked hard with our game's code and plugins to pull it off, and the result is pretty damn good if we say so ourselves.
While we're mostly happy with the body moisture generator we have in place, there's always room for improvement. That's why we went for a second pass and identified the optimal conditions for titty condensation and came up with some prime figures.
When the next demo drops, we plan to include additional NSFW content. This will likely be new positions and could include new maps as well.
Here's a preview of some stuff you could see there or that is otherwise in the works below, like...
Spider lady hot yoga!
Cat girl carry!
Rock girl mommy milker trinketkinis!
Ice cream shopping!
Raise your hand if you want to bang a catgirl under the dark canopy of the most deadly depths of the jungle! What, just me?
Today, we're previewing the deep jungle environment in-game for the first time. This section will be used in our NSFW module for Sheela's third romance scene, which can only be unlocked by defeating a rather large and scary dinosaur.
HINT - Its name rhymes with Hairy Onyx.
This is the most dangerous part of Dinosaurland - the deep jungle.
After you rock his shit and cut his head off, Sheela's gonna be all about that bang life. After all, hunting big game with her partner is kind of her thing.
Along with showing off the map itself, we wanted to give you a variety of previews so you can see how the action currently looks on it:
The pelagornis have arrived in the valley, and it's up to you to cull their numbers before they become an unmanageable problem. This chase sequence is really different from the others in that it's focused on shooting way more than dino drifting.
These two chase sequences break up the standard walking and fighting you do in most semi-open world games and add some variety to the module itself with the combat focus.
The upcoming internal demo will also have new NSFW content! The current plan is to ship with Kacerie and five poses, but we might change up the characters depending on the progress.
Speaking of dirty stuff, here are some shots of Trel's upcoming poses before we begin the animation process:
In terms of cutscenes, we're now nearly finished with the animation for the most difficult scene in the game - the big stampede!
If you've read the book, you know that this is one of the biggest moments in the narrative of Tamer. Lots of dinos, lots of destruction, fighting, and all sorts of shit hitting the fan.
Expect bad things to happen, and Victor to save the day by leading the tribe to salvation immediately after and earning their respect in the process.
We've noticed a huge spike in traffic from Chinese fans lately, and we wanted to thank them for their support.
We're making a special outfit for Sheela, and although you saw Sheela with it in our Thank You! post, here are a few details that you might not have seen yet:
On Part 1, we've shown you the first of two chase sequences involving culling the pelagornis, aka asshole birds, aka orange birds that appear as the first major antagonists in the narrative, and now we have the second part to show you!
And the second chase proves why the culling of the first was so necessary, since there are now so many birds in the valley that even stepping out of the cave becomes a major danger.
Victor and Sheela know something must be done, so they ride out to take care of things, knowing it's their last chance to strike a balance in the valley.
This one is much more difficult and also longer than the first and involves some new alpha class assholes that will make your life miserable if you don't take them out now.
We worked hard on some cool environmental effects here that we think turned out pretty well to show how strong they are.
And here's the best part - you'll get to play both of these sequences in our updated demo! As long as you're a qualifying supporter, you'll get to sample the internal build.
More great news - we're not only adding two chase sequences next week, we're also adding Kacerie! It's a little strange because she's actually the last female character you romance in the game, but she's the second character you'll get to have fun with in our demo.
To give you something to look forward to, here's a lovely nude photo of her in high def:
Sheela's romance scene blocking is underway for the big moment, and we're getting some good shots out of it.
Here's a quick preview reel (lighting isn't done yet)
During these romance scenes, we have the good old post-action sequences, and we didn't think it was appropriate for Victor to be fully dressed, and sometimes the pants and boots look wasn't flattering, so we made him a pair of undies with an easter egg baked in.
Next month, we should already have the aforementioned updated demo to our supporters with lots of new content that we've discussed in this long devlog.
In short, we should have:
Asshole Birds Chase 1
Asshole Birds Chase 2
Kacerie NSFW Content
All The Previous Content (Galmine NSFW, Day 1 Chase, D3S3 Cutscene)
Thank you so much for your support. Don't forget to wishlist Tamer: King of Dinosaurs! See you next month!
Hello everyone!
Thank you to our new fans from China.
We are working to include Chinese localization and language support at launch or soon after.
Anyone who contributes a cumulative pledge of $40 or more to our Patreon can request a Steam key for the game when it is released.
Please note that we will be releasing a safe version of the game so it can be listed on the Steam store in China, so you can request a key for this version instead if you don't want to play the explicit version on an alternate account.
We appreciate your support! Please help us spread the word about the game.
Kacerie looks mostly human, except for her natural neon pink hair. Not fitting in at first, you will win her heart if you can show how well you can take care of her.
Pink-haired and sassy, she only really wants one thing: to not die on this dino-infested planet. And who can blame her?
Kacerie is skilled in hairdressing and cosmetics, and she’ll be in charge of making sure your fort truly feels like a home.
In a pinch, she can channel raw energy into her hands, storing up to two devastating Lance Strikes at a time. Each blast unleashes a focused beam of destruction with precision and style. After firing them, she needs 14 full days to recharge, and that’s when she’ll need your help the most!

Wishlist Tamer: King of Dinosaurs NOW!
Hey everyone!
It has been a long road, filled with hiccups and eureka moments, and we’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far. We can’t wait to show you what the future holds for Tamer: King of Dinosaurs!
Let’s start with the most important thing: our early demo is now available to our supporters! You can see how to get it on our Discord server!
The demo consists of three parts: Galmine’s romance scene with its sex module and outro animation, and the cutscene demo preview:
This is the very first gameplay section of Tamer, where Victor meets Hope and they work together to escape some hungry deinonychus. We've included a preview video with this post so you can see what you'll be playing soon!
We've overlayed audio from our non-combat theme for now, as the gameplay triggers for SFX are still being worked on. We also did a recent recording session with the voice of Victor himself to include some new lines!
This really helps to elevate the experience and make it feel natural.
In particular, this chase includes a lancing segment where Victor will use his spear to end some predators that try to dismount him. You can also experience the jump/duck system we use in our chases here.
We're looking for lots of feedback here, so let us know what you think when you get to play it!
This will essentially be an updated version of the original Galmine NSFW demo.
So what has changed? First off, the lighting is vastly improved, as well as the camera system. We've also added a new map, and the voice samples of the characters have been expanded.
You'll definitely see and feel a difference here.
We will be expanding this part of the demo more as development continues. Expect to see an additional character and map next month!
Finally, we have a cutscene preview. Lots of people have asked us if Tamer's cutscenes are in-engine or pre-rendered, and the answer is, of course, in-engine! There is not a single second of pre-rendered footage in Tamer, and we're very proud of that.
This is being included so people can see how it performs on their machine while it is not fully optimized. We'll be doing an optimization pass later, so we're checking to see how far to go with that.
We were happy to hear everyone was impressed by the demo! Positive feedback was directed towards the visuals, the energy and presentation of the chase sequence, the writing and character development of the cutscene, and the improvements in the NSFW content.
However, we did receive some excellent feedback that some features could use some improvements. Thankfully, these were all things we were already discussing, and we had potential solutions lined up.
The sections of the map where you lance deinonychus with your spear don't have clear visual indicators that allow you to understand how to properly time your attack. Additionally, the controls were unclear.
We have thrown out the old indicator and replaced it with a target that hovers on the dino like the old one, but is easier to see. In addition, two arrows on the left and right collapse inward at a consistent pace to show when to activate your weapon to score a successful hit.
While everyone expressed it jumping and ducking on the parasaur was smooth and simple to understand, it was noted that every obstacle has the same setup and can therefore feel repetitive.
We've adjusted this by making it so the "success" section of the indicator is on the top if you're jumping and on the bottom if you're ducking. This slightly changes the time and action and feels more natural.
This has been requested since our first demo dropped earlier this year, and it's something we still want to explore. With our combat system in full swing, along with finishing the NSFW animation itself, it will take some time, but we'll do our best to add more interactive elements to the love scenes as we get closer to launch, such as hand position, spanking, grabbing, etc.
This week's cutscene preview is from right after Victor and Sheela escape the carnotaurus. Note that, as usual, this is pre-alpha, so there are some animations and many other aspects like VFX that are still in progress.
Day 8 is when this narrative break occurs, right after the epic chase sequence. At this point, Victor has won over Trel, Galmine, and Sheela, and they're actively working to build the fort. Trel also starts to really help the group, although whether she's motivated by the goodness in her heart or the need for Victor's insemination remains up for debate.
Now that Kacerie's animations are wrapped, we're working on Trel's romance scenes. Since Victor is less experienced and Trel is more dominant, her early encounters have a different flavor from the later ones, as shown in the preview image below:
We're making some more promo content for the game and book series, so we've started posing the girls for a few lovely pinup shots of them enjoying some good literature.
An important part of achieving immersion with games like this is having functional look-at tech, which means the character's eyes appropriately engage with the environment and the characters around them.
We now have this up and running, and it makes things so much more alive. It's often subtle touches like these that bring games from A to AA level, and that's definitely what we want to strive for with this production - something that shows we actually care about every level detail.
Right now, we're working on adding subtitles to all the scenes. First, we need to add the text, and then we'll clean up the presentation so they're not so scrunched.
This process will also give us a shot at localization for several key regions, like China.
Our next major objective is two separate sequences where Victor and Sheela fight against the orange birds from Hope's back in an effort to cull their numbers before they can overrun the cave, while the fort isn't ready yet.
We already have a prototype up and running, and construction is underway!
It's likely that as soon as it's finished that we will add this to the demo build and release it for our Patreons to play.
We're also doing some LOD upgrades to the map to bring it up to more modern standards.
You can see some key areas we're focusing on in the image below:
See you next month with more good news!
Sheela is a stoic huntress, brave and beautiful, bound by her culture. The best hunter among her people, possibly of her world.
Versatile, strong, and gorgeous. Whether you want to hunt, train, or mate, she is the one.
Prove you're strong enough to free her from her loveless arranged marriage, and she'll be yours forever.
Bust: 102cm
Waist: 59cm
Hips: 100cm
With a slim and fit 40/23/39 body, used to hunting and fighting, Sheela will always be up to "help" you... Do you think you can handle this amount of stamina?

Wishlist Tamer: King of Dinosaurs NOW!
Hey everyone!
We have tons of exciting news to share with you! Now hold tight, because this will be a long one.
And before we get to it, don’t forget to wishlist Tamer: King of Dinosaurs!
As we mentioned a few times already, we are currently putting together material for a new demo build for our supporters. We're shooting for the end of August at this point, so you guys can see how far the development has come.
Here's what the demo will include:
Updated Galmine NSFW scene with new lighting and physics
Chase sequence (first time we've given access to gameplay!)
Additional preview cutscenes delivered in-engine
Once this demo is released, we plan to update it over time by adding additional NSFW content and polishing the gameplay based on your feedback.
Development on the cave chase is progressing well, but we've been working on this one for a month straight and need a break. As a result, we're going to focus more on cutscenes for now, but we'll be back with more news about it soon!
Recently, we started working on the opening cutscene of Trel's final romance quest.
This one involves a trip to the hot springs so she can take a bath. Here is a preview shot for you, but keep in mind these are censored since she has her dress on, and in the full game, she's gonna be in her birthday suit.
Also, the purple hair is a result of some lights not being properly set up yet. Maybe we can consider it as a cosmetic option in the future, “a happy accident”.
Speaking of Trel, her NSFW scenes are in the works, and these are particularly tricky because of all the extra anatomy we have to deal with to get her functional.
The results look great, though, especially in motion! We hope to include her in an upcoming demo build exclusive to our supporters once she's ready.
Mild spoiler here, but Sheela's first romance scene is a special one. It takes place after a rather monumental effort on Victor's part to keep her safe.
The weather on this day called for us to create a new VFX setup that was tricky because it takes place inside our cinematic version of the fort. This has an "artificial" sky, and replacing it with anything this heavy takes some doing.
Still, we pulled it off! Here's the result:
Soon, we should have a preview for you of a certain scene that happens at the lake between Victor and Sheela that sets the tone for their relationship in our devlog.
This sequence was particularly challenging because of the VFX work and the water particles needed to show Sheela taking a cat bath...a very sexy one at that.
We know you'll enjoy it, so give us another week to clean it up a bit, and we'll have it available for your viewing pleasure.
Our NSFW animator is finishing up Kacerie's sequences. Here's a particularly good-looking standing doggy sequence set up in the gemstone cave, and a few positions:
We also have some spicy Galmine previews for you!
Take a look at her in action during her third romance quest in the harvest grove below:
Along with completing NSFW animations, we're also working on getting all of the high heels working with our outfit system, which is proving to be trickier than expected, but the results speak for themselves.
So if you wanted to smash in massive stripper heels, don't worry - we've got you covered.
Great, glorious science has blessed us with micro bikinis and boobs that react realistically to them. Oh Lord...
Check out Sheela practicing her stretches below, and see Victor stretching Sheela below as well.
You'll be able to take full advantage of these outfits in our romance scenes.
We also wanted to assure everyone that these outfits will be available during gameplay as well, so you can have your favorite ladies wearing your favorite outfits at all times.
They will also carry over to cutscenes, which we're sure will result in some stepped-on dramatic moments when someone's pouring their heart out in a barely visible plastic string suit.
As we go through the cutscenes and get them ready for launch, we also apply VFX. In this case, we added an indicator to our characters whenever they access their Eye-Q.
You can see Sheela teaching Victor how to use his below:
Something else we've been doing recently is refactoring some of the scenes we prepared for trailers previously to fully function in the engine on the correct project settings, such as the shot below with shadowplay:
Not that it's too amazing to look at, but this effect with the curtain was something that took some doing:
An unfortunate part of recording a game this massive is the fact that sometimes, things just don't work. Characters are out of position, you have sync issues, and other things that can't be fixed with manual animation adjustments, etc.
That's why we need to "dub" some sequences with new animation from professionals to make sure the scenes hit the way they need to.
We've also added additional characters in the background in some shots that were originally intended only to have one male and one female, and this has proven an excellent method to elevate the scenes.
Luckily, this has proven to be relatively simple compared to how we thought it would go.
Finally, please enjoy these lovely pictures of Sheela and Kacerie being posed for promo images.
We'll be using this pose for posters and other items to show the game off online.
Expect to see these flying around the net soon.
Keep an eye out for the upcoming 'Meet the Girls' posts, which we should still have this upcoming month! We’ll keep working hard to bring you even more updates on our monthly development journey!
Hey everyone!
We got so many updates to share with you that we were having trouble not spoiling them.
And before we get to it, don’t forget to wishlist Tamer: King of Dinosaurs!
In this clip, we can take a look at the first segment of gameplay of the project overall: just like in the books, Victor runs for his life from a pack of deinonychus through the jungle. However, this time around, we've changed up the plot in a significant way so that he meets Hope, his first parasaur mount, right off the bat.
They work together to survive the situation and then go their separate ways as Victor has not mastered, nor is he even aware, of his power yet.
It's an interesting narrative change that opens the door for some great new scenes.
Keep in mind we are still in pre-alpha visualization at this point, and everything is incredibly rough, but this should give you an idea of the overall concept and the pacing we're aiming for.
This serves as a tutorial to teach you how to lance dinos with your spear and dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge.
One thing we've added to this map is obstacles on the ground that do damage if you run over them, such as the spiked brambles.
We've also added deinonychus lancing, where they will approach you from the front or side, and you must use your spear to attack them, and this must be manually aimed. This part is still a work in progress, but we should have it done within the next two weeks.
The empty section in the middle is where we plan to have a big "vista" moment where you can look out at the world and see some large dinosaurs, such as brachiosaurus, roaming in the background.
After that, inside the cave, we're going to have some beautiful crystals fall from the ceiling and work as impact obstacles.
You can see a preview of it in the following video:
Now that we have finished the first lighting pass of the cinematics, we've begun adding lighting to the NSFW scenes. Our technical artists took great care in upgrading the options available there and made it look much better.
We've still got some color grading and VFX work to do, but check out the progress below:
Since Victor gets into a lot of scraps during his first month in Dinosaurland and his work shirt gets wrecked, we needed a new outfit for him.
We designed something that he could wear underneath that would eventually replace his main outfit towards the middle of the game. Using a simple tank top base, we designed a logo for the LA County Dept of Animal Care and Control and applied that PNG to the 3D model.
We're continuing to work on the map as always, and recently made a pass over a key area you'll visit on day 10 prior to the deinonychus raid at the fort.
This is where you'll battle a deinonychus alpha for the first time.
We needed this area to have room for the battle while also looking good for cutscenes. We're going to tweak the colors more here so the grass isn't so yellow, but you get the idea.
As we continue designing combat, we looked at other melee-focused games in the genre and examined concepts we liked and ones we felt did not fit our project.
In particular, stamina meters are something the team as a whole did not find particularly fun. In games where they exist, combat is seen more as something hardcore and punishing, where players rely on heavy, calculated swings to take advantage of openings and do damage while constraining themselves from becoming too vulnerable.
While this works well for those projects, we want Tamer to be focused more on fun, arcade-style combat that can still be challenging without relying so heavily on pacing and windows of opportunity.
To that end, we've decided to reward players for playing well in the opposite way - when you land a solid hit, parry, counter, dodge properly, etc., you will earn adrenaline. This charges up like a super meter in a fighting game.
As you earn adrenaline, you can either maintain it for passive bonuses or expend it using special moves, like a mana bar that refills with solid gameplay decisions and execution.
We're still working out the details, but we're really enjoying this concept so far.
We'll explain more about combat and progression as time goes on and we begin implementing these ideas.
We've finally confirmed that the pacy will be a regular enemy in the game and have rigged and started animating it for a debut very soon.
These guys are going to be tough late-game enemies that attack in groups with some interesting patterns that need to be dodged and countered by the player.
Keep an eye out for the upcoming 'Meet the Girls' posts, which we should still have this month! We’ll keep working hard to bring you even more updates on our monthly development journey!
Trel is legitimate royalty and carries all the entitlement that comes with it. She demands to be treated with high regard at all times.
The females of her species are well-known for their building skills, although Trel considers this “peasant work.”
Trel is particularly spiteful toward males, so winning her over will be a serious challenge — and absolutely essential if you want her help building the ultimate fort.
If you earn her trust, you might discover another side of her — one that makes her a valued partner.
