When I first released White Silence, I wanted to experiment with a different approach. It was the only episode in the series that focused heavily on exploration and a slower pace. While some players enjoyed that direction, many felt it didn't capture what makes Tales Beyond The Tomb special.
After listening to your feedback and reflecting on the episode myself, I decided it deserved a complete overhaul.
This update is much more than bug fixes or small improvements. White Silence has been substantially reworked from beginning to end.
What's Changed?
Completely reworked story pacing.
New narrative elements and a stronger plot.
Several scenes have been redesigned, shortened, or removed to keep the tension high.
Storytelling has been clarified to make the narrative easier to follow.
Gameplay flow has been improved to reduce unnecessary walking and downtime.
Various visual, audio, and performance optimizations throughout the game.
My goal was not to change the identity of the episode, but to make it fit much better within the Tales Beyond The Tomb series.
I understand that some players may have preferred the original version, and I truly respect that. However, I believe this new edition delivers a much stronger experience and better represents the kind of horror I want this series to be known for.
Thank you to everyone who shared feedback, whether positive or critical. Your comments helped shape this update, and I hope you'll consider giving White Silence another chance.
See you in the mountains.
