We just released our first update after the launch of Super Meat Boy 3D! Thanks to all of you for following Meat Boy into a new dimension! 🫶🥩

We’ve been watching the Community Hub and comments closely and collected your feedback (a big thanks for that as well!) from launch onwards to make sure that your experience within Super Meat Boy 3D is as awesome as possible.

So, without further ado, here’s the Changelog for today's update for Super Meat Boy 3D:

• With “Always Sprint” enabled, pressing the sprint button now makes you walk

• Fixed a bug that reset the anti-aliasing method after restarting the game

• Various fixes for achievements not unlocking correctly

• Removed the Plumber Hills level goal skip

• Movement during the Plumber Hills cage opening sequence is no longer possible

• Level times are now shown in the Dark World on the world map

• Various collision fixes on the world map to prevent players from getting out of bounds

• Removed the Boss 3 ending exploit - it is no longer possible to run between the glowing blocks

• Tweaks to Boss 2 make exploiting the tentacle attacks much harder

• Collision fixes in Boss 5 arena

• Many small tweaks and fixes across various levels

TODAY IS THE DAY! The wait is finally over! Super Meat Boy 3D is here! 🥳

To get you started for your Super Meat Boy feast - in 3D! - we prepared a little appetizer: A new trailer, fresh and hot, to celebrate the launch. Enjoy:

And of course we want to be absolutely transparent with you regarding the ingredients used for this 5-star platformer meal. So without further ado, here is Super Meat Boy 3D in a nutshell:

• A tough-as-nails single-player 3D precision platformer. You play as an animated cube of meat, named Meat Boy, who is on a mission to rescue his girlfriend, Bandage Girl (who happens to be made of bandages), from an evil, yet elegantly dressed, fetus in a jar.

• Prepare for a brutal but fair and square gameplay experience, designed to put your patience and endurance to a real test.

• 5 worlds

• Each world comes with: 

  • 15 Regular levels 

  • 15 Dark World levels

  • 1 Boss level

  • 1 Secret level

• That brings us to a total of 160 levels for you to enjoy!

• 20 unlockable guest characters (yes, our episodes of “Who’s that Guest Character?!” were just the tip of the iceberg!)

• Full mouse + keyboard, keyboard only, and gamepad support. Using a gamepad is recommended, though. Please treat your input devices nicely while playing, thank you!

• 20 supported languages for all interfaces and subtitles in the game.

What does this mean? Well, you can enjoy Super Meat Boy 3D on your Steam Deck wherever you like: At home on your couch, at a wonderful public garden or park (to channel those calming vibes), or in the bathroom to make the “session” more enjoyable.

And always keep in mind: Although the Steam Deck is perfectly throwable when an unlucky saw incident happens, your Steam Deck loves you! ♥️

But what should I tell you? That our super awesome and freshly improved Super Meat Boy 3D demo is (still) available for you to check out? That we’ve got full levels from the first two worlds of the game for you to try out, that the camera, visibility and animations have been tweaked, following your feedback? That all of your coolest friends have already tried the demo and absolutely loved it?

I could, I suppose.

We've some good news for your for the new year: the demo of your three-dimensional favorite chunk of meat just got updated!

The update contains a bunch of improvements and optimizations and is also based on the feedback you shared with us over the last couple of weeks. Therefore, once again, a big THANK YOU!

But now, without further ado, we produly present the changelog for the demo:

• Camera speed changed

• Various level tweaks

• Improved visibility through objects

• Improved animations

• Improved position helper placement

• Position helper line option added
