Super Bunny Man news & patch notes

Hello everyone! 🐰

It's been a while! Sorry for being so quiet for so long! We took a break after releasing Super Bunny Man, but we've recently been working on a much-needed update to the game.

We’re very aware that many players have experienced problems when playing online. Things like lag, de-sync, and low frame-rate made the game unplayable for a lot of players. We wanted to improve this for a long time, and we're sorry for taking so long 🙇. We’re so relieved to announce that we’ve released an update that should improve these issues for everyone playing SBM online together. The game should now be more stable and fun for everyone.

Also, we’re excited to let you know that Super Bunny Man now has Steam achievements! 🏆

We hope you enjoy collecting them!

What's new?

• Major online de-sync fixes - This means no more stretching/teleporting players, no more feeling like your player is stuck, and much smoother online gameplay, even on slow internet connections.

• Overhauled online multiplayer netcode - more reliable connections + lower ping for everyone!

• General frame-rate improvements - we've optimized many parts of the game to improve performance on all levels!

• Steam Achievements - 19 new achievements! We hope you enjoy completing them, especially the hidden ones! Experienced players may already have some unlocked!

  • 🥕 Carrot Coin achievements: if you already have enough carrots for these, they will unlock the next time you collect a carrot!

  • 🏆 'Jump Your Way Through World X' and 'Unlock All the Coins on World X' achievements: if you have already completed the requirements for these achievements, you will be awarded them the next time you complete a level on that World.

  • 🥇 And many more!

• Bug fixes! In particular, many players were getting a "black screen" crash. We discovered that this was caused by save files getting corrupted. We've improved the stability of the save system, so if your save file was corrupted, you should be able to play again now. Unfortunately, you will lose your save data. We are very sorry for this! Hopefully it won't happen again from now. If anyone has any more issues with black screens, or save data going missing unexpectedly, please email us immediately at [email protected], and include your "Catobyte/Super Bunny Man" folder (see instructions here).

• Added a ghost to race for the Time Attack coin on every level! When you have collected coins for completing a level and finding the carrot, a ghost will appear. • I spent a while progressing deathmatch items but I've decided to put them on the back burner for now so that I can focus on adding more levels. They were starting to take more time to develop than I anticipated, and so I will return to them later.
