Steam news
Full Steam announcements and update articles for this title.
The full release is just around the corner, and we are currently working on the final updates we'll be rolling out during this period. With the full release, we plan to complete the story and add much more content to the game. Until then, we have focused on increasing the variety of "cursed ships" something we felt was missing from the experience.
Here is what is new with this update:
Cursed ships have different dynamics compared to other ships; you cannot fix the issues on these vessels with just a hammer and a bucket. Their damage goes much deeper. You will need to use the Necronomicon to repair these ships. Additionally, brand-new captains have been added to the game alongside them.
Cursed ships are not just vehicles; they also serve as gateways to different realms. Each door will take you to a completely different world, and behind these doors, you will be able to find exactly what you need.
Cursed locations harbor their own unique items. You can unlock the powers of these items, which grant you different abilities, by placing them on the altar in your shop or you can choose to sell them to the right customers.
We plan to significantly increase the amount of this content with the full release. There will be a few more content updates before we make the final transition.
Along with the new content, we have fixed some bugs and made improvements based on your feedback:
Fish Encyclopedia Updated: It now shows which fish can be found where, as well as their required weather conditions.
New Fishing Signs: We have placed new signs around the environment. When you interact with one, it automatically opens the encyclopedia and highlights the fish native to that specific region.
Cursed Fish Quest Updated: For players who prefer not to complete the cursed fish quest, we have added a fishing NPC at Devil's Rock who directly sells these cursed fishes.
Starting Tutorial Improved: The game's starting tutorial now highlights everything about the game step by step and much more clearly.
Text Adjustments: The Act 2-1 header text has been rewritten for a smoother, better flow.
Send Back Cursed Ships: Cursed ships can now be sent back just like normal ships, but doing so will cost you "Madness".
Fax Table Relocated: The Fax Table is now at the front of the kitchen, making it much easier to reach.
Bazaar Bag Bug Fixed: We resolved an issue that occurred when trying to grab a fish at the bazaar while simultaneously attempting to place your bazaar bag on the counter.
We will be active on our Discord server and in the discussion boards to resolve any bugs you might encounter and to answer your questions during this process. Please do not hesitate to ask us questions or share your ideas with us at any time. Thank you for your support!

Greetings from the coasts of Blackreef!
We have been working on version 0.7 for a couple of weeks and we think it is complete now. What we worked on so far:
We tried to be sure that game is working on 60 FPS for most of the devices.
We also tried to make the stuttering go away, we know it is a very persistent problem even from the day 1.
Bug related to the cursed fishes not added to the Fish Encyclopedia is now fixed. It occured because of a save system bug, should be now saved correctly.
Couple of bugs related to the colliders across ships has been solved. This includes some boats that does not allow jumping when you get on.
We fixed the date in the Act 5 about the next story update. It will come in 0.9.0, not in 0.7.0, right before the full release.
As you can understand, we are closer to the full release, so your bug reports are important for us.
In the next update, before starting to work on the next story chapter, we first want to make the start of the game easier to digest for new players. So we are going to work on couple of quest based basic tutorials and similar additions first.
Eight months ago, we launched Sunken Engine into Early Access.
Today, we’ve reached 35,000+ copies sold and 72,000+ wishlists. 👏🏻
What we’ve achieved in just 8 months fills us with both pride and motivation.
We will be releasing an update in the coming weeks to fix all bugs and improve optimization. Afterward, we will continue working towards the full release. To reach us, you can use the Steam Discussions and our Discord server.
In the meantime, if you would like to support our new game as well, you can find it below;
Thanks for All.

We have fixed several issues and missing parts that appeared after the Underwater Update, along with some older problems that were still present. We will release a few more bugfix updates during this period. Once the game becomes stable, we will begin working on the full release.
With this update, we have made the following changes;
Fixed the Stretch issue in the tutorial section
Fixed boats overlapping during training when a new boat arrives while one is already present
Fixed a large collider appearing and not being removed when a boat arrives at a level 0 dock
Fixed boat animation stuttering
Updated fishing area construction visuals and text
Fixed fax notifications not appearing when the fax panel is left open. Faxes now display without requiring the panel to be closed and reopened
Made various performance optimizations
Fixed the license quest triggering at $750 instead of the correct $850
Fixed the 3rd tablet placement bug
Fixed certain letters reappearing at Hayri Reis’s location and the temple
Fixed items not being placeable in the sack after switching tools and switching back
Fixed the sack and fishing rod clipping into each other when Fishing Mode is activated while holding the sack
Fixed the issue that prevented players from progressing to the new chapter
If you previously encountered any of these issues, we would really appreciate it if you could try the game again and send us your feedback. This will help us fix the remaining problems as quickly as possible and start working on the full release.
Thank you for all your comments and feedback.

Following your feedback and bug reports after the latest update, we’ve prepared a new patch.
Fixed an issue where the emergency coded fax notification would not disappear when selecting another fax.
Adjusted the frequency of incoming emergency-coded faxes.
Fixed an issue where wind sounds could be heard inside the shop but not outside.
Fixed the issue where the rich customer notification would disappear.
Fixed an issue during fuse box repairs where cable ends would remain stuck in place.
Fixed the collider issue on the bed in the large ship captain’s cabin.
Fixed the character height distortion issue.
Performed collider optimizations.
Added an option to skip the Gülcemal section of the game. By speaking with the smuggler character at the beginning, you can pay "$50,000" to skip the Gülcemal section and continue the story.
Fixed an issue where some ships would still display a “missing tasks” error even after all checklist tasks were completed.
We believe we’ve resolved all of these issues with the latest update. If you continue experiencing similar problems after updating, please contact us through the Discussions section or our Discord server.

Our new update is now live! One of the biggest additions to the game, the underwater system, has arrived with this update. Alongside underwater exploration, many new pieces of content, new jobs, new areas, and the continuation of the story have also been added to Sunken Engine.
Here are the details:
As we step into the summer season, we thought you might want to cool off a little. You can now jump directly from the harbor into the cold waters of Blackreef Island.
There are new places to discover underwater, along with new jobs to complete. New mussel clusters waiting to be scraped can now be found beneath ships. You can see these jobs in the task list with a blue icon.
We are introducing a brand-new fishing mechanic. Fishing now has a completely different mode. By pressing F, you can enter Fishing Mode and enjoy fishing from wherever you want.
While in Fishing Mode, you can press Q to see a list of fish that can be caught in your current area. Each location now has its own unique fish variety. For example, the fish you can catch in the harbor are different from the ones you can catch around the Gülcemal.
The new fishing mechanic is now controlled entirely with the mouse. After casting your rod, you need to reel in your line to attract fish. Once a fish takes the bait, you must guide your rod with the mouse to tire it out. But be careful. If the line gets too tense, it may snap.
We have also turned the old fishing area into a place where you can hang and display the fish you catch. After catching your fish, you can place them there for display. Fish displayed in this area will not be requested by market customers.
Existing fish have been remodeled in more detail, and with the shader updates, they now look much more alive. New fish species have also been added to the game. You can find all fish in the Fish Encyclopedia section of the Journal panel. You can also read their stories there.
Fishing rods have also been updated with this release. You can visit the fisherman to buy higher tier rods.
The Forest Area, which is part of the fishing mechanic, has been added to the game. You can find different fish species in this area.
Since the underwater area is now accessible and explorable, we can also count it as a new location. In future updates, underwater fishing will be added to this area. You will need to use a harpoon for that.
A new area has also been added for the continuation of the story.
With this update, we have fixed many issues and made various improvements based on player feedback.
Emergency ships has been added and fixed the issues.
With all of these additions, we are slowly getting closer to the final version of the game. The next update will be another content update, bringing new ships, new characters, new items, and more. After that, we will begin focusing on preparing the game for its full release.
Once again, thank you for all the interest and support you have shown us throughout this process. We are here to fix and improve any issues you may encounter. You can reach us through Steam Discussions or our Discord server.

PS: Our programmer was in the middle of moving house during this process, so this hotfix was delayed a little. Sorry about that, and thank you for your patience.

We've been quiet since the Gulcemal Update and for good reason. This update focuses on rebuilding the game's foundations: visuals, mechanics, optimization, and the sea itself. Everything here is groundwork for what comes next.
Most of the game's assets dated back to the demo and early access period. We've reworked them from scratch: better optimized, more consistent with the game's tone, and significantly more polished. All ship entry points have been redesigned, which also eliminates most of the old movement restrictions around boarding. Two new vessels have been added alongside new customization options for the workshop and office.
The ocean has been completely rebuilt. It's more realistic, more optimized, and now includes underwater visuals. It's also connected to a new wind system and a Calendar System (find it in the shipyard, right of the fireplace). Wind speed and direction now visibly affect the waves in real time. This system is also the direct foundation for the upcoming Underwater Update.
The fax machine is gone. Jobs now come in through the Radiofax, a "Pick 3" style system where you're shown multiple jobs per hour and choose one, with the rest auto-rejected. You'll also hear short radio dialogues from captains describing the situation on their ship. Starts at 2 job choices, upgradeable to 3 and 4 in future updates.
Basic work materials like nails and lightbulbs no longer take up inventory space and are now carried in unlimited quantities. Market purchases go directly into your bag with no need to manually place items on shelves. Cursed items, sellable finds, and fish still occupy inventory space, and bag upgrades will expand capacity for those. The bazaar boxes have been replaced with straw sacks.

We’ve been quiet for a while following the Gülcemal update. The reason for this was that we wanted to focus on improving the game with a series of comprehensive changes. As we gradually move closer to the full release, we took the time to make the game more cohesive and easier to understand. During this process, we focused on visual improvements, mechanical adjustments, and optimization.
Here are the main updates we’ve made and are planning:
Many of the assets in the game were carried over from the demo and early access periods. We have reworked and updated most of them. This allowed us to achieve a look that better fits the game’s tone while also improving overall optimization.
Additionally, since all ship entry areas have been updated, movement restrictions have been largely eliminated.
New ships will also be added to the game with this update.
With the asset updates, we achieved significant optimization improvements. Alongside additional technical adjustments, we aimed to make the game more stable and maintain a more consistent FPS.
The water system has been completely reworked and made much more realistic. At the same time, it has been prepared for the upcoming Underwater Update.
The fax system has been completely removed. Jobs now come through the radio. This also allows you to hear short dialogues from captains describing what’s happening on their ships.
Job details are now presented more clearly. Additionally, tasks that previously overlapped on the desk and were easy to miss can now be viewed in a list format.
With the new inventory system, basic items used for jobs such as nails and light bulbs will no longer take up space and can be carried in unlimited quantities.
Items purchased from the market will now go directly into your inventory, removing the need to place them on shelves.
Cursed items, sellable items found on ships, and fish will still occupy inventory space. Bag upgrades will expand capacity specifically for these items.
We have also replaced the boxes used for selling with sacks to reduce visual clutter.
With the newly added calendar system, you will be able to see upcoming events such as carnivals and storms in advance.
We realized that the tutorial videos were not clear enough, so we replaced them with more understandable visual guides.
There is something we’ve had in mind for a while but couldn’t implement due to time constraints: updating the characters to 3D.
During this update process, we revisited this idea but are still undecided on whether to proceed. You can see the 3D character designs we prepared below. We will open a poll on our Discord server and make the final decision based on your feedback.
We will be bringing all these updates to you on March 30.
With this update, we aim to bring the game one step closer to its full release. After that, we will begin working on the Underwater Update.
Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us. Thank you for your continued support.

Our first major update, Gülcemal, is now live!
The Gülcemal ship holds an important place in Turkish maritime history. We did our best to reflect this significance while staying faithful to its real history, all while adapting it to fit the fictional universe we’ve created.
Gülcemal offers a gameplay experience that differs from the rest of the game. On this ship, you won’t be performing cleaning or repair tasks.
During their voyage, the Gülcemal and its crew encounter a series of unfortunate events that leave them stranded off the coast of the town of Blackreef. Unexplainable phenomena begin to occur aboard the ship. Rooms and cabins shift places. Doors become mixed and misleading. No one can find their way through Gülcemal anymore. As you try to navigate through these ever changing rooms, you must also avoid the creatures that have infested the ship.
Inside the Gülcemal, you’ll find various items essential for progressing forward: keys, Turkish Lira, and more. These can be discovered throughout the ship’s rooms. Some belongings left behind by passengers may be valuable. You can collect these items and either sell them in your shop or trade them with the right people in exchange for Turkish Lira.
You must find your way through the many different rooms aboard the Gülcemal. Some rooms may be cabins, while others are corridors. Each room has its own story, and each one offers something different to the player.
Gülcemal is a key component of the game’s main narrative. What you experience aboard this ship will influence the course of the main story and mark the beginning of a new story chapter.
With this update, we have also added Level 4 upgrades for the tools in the game. In addition, we fixed existing issues and addressed bugs reported by the community.
With the Gülcemal Update, our game is now 50% off.
This will be the last discount for a long time a great time to jump in.
Once again, thank you for all the support you’ve shown us so far. We’ll continue working to make Sunken Engine even better. We hope you enjoy the Gülcemal update. If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to reach out to us through the Discussions section or on Discord.
Have fun
Two Nomads Studio
Today, we are here to talk with you about Gülcemal. We are planning to release the Gülcemal update, which we have been mentioning for some time, toward the end of this month. The Gülcemal update will be slightly different from the game’s overall atmosphere, and we acknowledge that. We hope you enjoy what we have created and take pleasure in the story of this fantastical ship.
The Gülcemal holds an important place in Turkish maritime history. It was the first Turkish ship to sail to America. Gülcemal served in many different capacities and even hosted Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, for a period. Renowned Turkish writers composed poems about the ship, and it became the subject of folk songs. In this respect, it was a highly significant vessel for its era.
By adding this ship to our game, we aimed both to revive a piece of history and to expand the story of our game. Of course, we may not have been able to reflect everything exactly as it was; however, as a Turkish team, being able to include this ship and its story in our game, even to a small extent, is a great source of pride for us.
Gülcemal is on one of its voyages to United State. While on the return journey, its systems suddenly fail, the rudder locks, and the ship is dragged toward the Miskatonic River. During this time, strange events begin to occur aboard the vessel. The ship’s chief engineer, Kadri Bey, recounts the incident as follows:
“An extraordinary incident occurred aboard our ship. We were caught in the current and dragged toward the Miskatonic River. When we managed, with great difficulty, to restart the engines and return to our course, strange and inexplicable events began to manifest throughout the ship.”
Following these events, Kadri Bey travels to the island to seek help from the Gülcemal, which has anchored off the coast of the town of Blackreef.
As the events aboard the Gülcemal unfold, numerous strange occurrences begin to take place. All of the ship’s rooms have become disordered and intertwined. The crew claims that the locations of the rooms change every night, leaving them deeply unsettled. At times, the doors of these rooms open into dead ends. The ship’s captain, Süvari Lütfi, cannot be reached. The route leading to the captain’s bridge changes each night.
We must determine the positions of the rooms, reach the captain’s bridge, and rescue Captain Lütfi. Only then can we set right what is happening aboard the ship.
Early Gameplay
With this update, if time allows, we are also planning to add the following extras:
New ships
New customers
New items
Level 4 tool upgrades
More decoration options
Greater fish variety
If we are unable to complete these in time, we will prepare them shortly after the Gülcemal update and add them to the game in a follow-up update.
“The order and excellence we observed aboard the steamship Gülcemal are truly worthy of commendation. I extend my gratitude to the General Director, the ship’s master, and the entire crew.”
-Mustafa Kemal Atatürk
We hope you enjoy the new features we have introduced. We want to continue creating content that is both exciting and enjoyable for you. Thank you once again for the support you have shown us. We look forward to seeing you again with the update on January 30.
Two Nomads Studio
2025 has been a special year for us, as we released our very first game. In 2026, we will continue to develop Sunken Engine with much more new content and expand its universe even further.
With the uptade that will be released for the game as of December 25,2025;
With this update, we wanted to bring the New Year spirit into the game. For this, we hid small gifts for you in various parts of the map. Inside these gifts, you can find money, items, cursed fish, and new customization items. However, this is a temporary event and will end after the New Year.
Along with this, we added a new location. You can now visit the town square of Blackreef and socialize with new people there. This location will remain permanently in the game.
In addition, we cleaned up some existing bugs in the game. In the coming days, we will continue fixing issues based on your feedback through several updates.
Thank you all very much for 2025. With the support you have shown us, we will continue to develop Sunken Engine. We truly believe that in 2026 we will be able to offer you much more content and fun.
In the coming days, we will prepare a devlog about Gülcemal and share more detailed information.
We wish everyone a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas.
Two Nomads Studio
We’ve just released our first content update, and we hope you’re having fun with everything we’ve added. Since the day the update went live, we’ve also been rolling out a series of small hotfixes to address the issues you’ve reported and to keep the game’s balance in a healthy state.
Your feedback throughout this process has helped us refine the game significantly, and we’ll continue improving it with the same dedication. From here on, we’re slowly shifting our focus toward the development of Gülcemal.
With this update, we added display shelves in the basement alongside the new altar. These shelves allow you to store the items you’ve discovered if you don’t want to sell them, giving you a personal space to keep your finds safe.
Thank you once again for your interest, your support, and all the help you’ve given us.
The time has come to deliver the content we have been working on for a while and mentioned to you in our previous DevLog. You can consider this update as an intermediate content addition and bug fix pass before the Gülcemal Update. However, we have tried to bring a wide variety of new features into the game. Especially based on your comments and reports, we added several changes and improvements.
The carnival visiting Blackreef Island brings a set of new games waiting for you. By playing these games, you can earn tickets and exchange them for various rewards. Each reward comes with unique properties you can make use of. However, you may need to explore the basement to learn how to use them!
FIRE! An emergency coded ship is arriving at the dock, engulfed in flames! You must first extinguish the fire with your bucket, and only then begin the repair and cleaning process. You cannot proceed without putting out the flames. Remember that each bucket level can carry more water!
Some wealthy residents of Blackreef Island have discovered your shop. They may purchase more valuable items from you. However, these affluent individuals are known for their impatience and dislike being kept waiting. If you keep them happy, though, they won’t hesitate to leave you a generous tip.
As you uncover more of the Necronomicon, you begin to witness new aspects of its power. Strange blurs you have never seen before are appearing around the island. The light of the Necronomicon can dispel these distortions. Some of them may even open new doors for you!
You now have a place to store your cursed items. You can repair the altar in the basement and place the items you find there. Each item will grant you different abilities.
New clues and information about the continuation of the story are starting to appear. Who is placing these letters here? Is someone deliberately hiding them, or are those entities I’ve seen responsible? Anything is possible.
These are all brand new additions that were not previously in the game. With them, Blackreef Island now offers even more activities, mysteries, and discoveries.
– Repairing broken sections of the pier has been added
– Controller support issues have been fixed
– Various ship related bugs have been resolved
– Optimization issues have been addressed
– The bug occurring during fainting while swimming has been fixed
– Most of the issues reported by you have been resolved
We hope this update makes you happy and helps you have even more fun with the game. Our next update will be “Gülcemal,” which will be our first major update. Until then, we’ll continue to address bug fixes. We are very grateful for the support you’ve shown us. See you in the next update or DevLog.
Every day, we work, repair, explore, and face all sorts of oddities together along Blackreef’s coastline. Thank you for sharing this journey with us.
Community nominations for this year’s Steam Awards have begun. With its calm atmosphere, exploration-driven structure, and a world that gradually draws you in, we believe Sunken Engine is one of the games that best fits the “Sit Back and Relax” category. But of course, it’s not for us to say—it’s for you.
If you think our game deserves this award, you can nominate us on Steam under the “Sit Back and Relax” category.
How to nominate:
Go to our Steam store page,
Click the “Awards – Nominate this Game” option on the right,
Select the “Sit Back and Relax” category.
Your support means a great deal to us. Every nomination you send lights up the foggy docks of Blackreef, even if just for a moment, and warms our hearts.
Thank you in advance for all your support. Two Nomads Studio
We are getting ready for the first content update since the game’s release. This update will be a content patch positioned between our major planned updates. After this release, we will shift our full focus to the upcoming “Gülcemal Update.”
With this patch, we added several features we felt were missing from the game and also incorporated many of your bug reports and suggestions. We would like to share some of these additions and show what we have been working on so far.
The carnival has arrived in Blackreef. Many different games and surprise rewards await you. You can also chat with the townsfolk and enjoy the festive atmosphere. A glimpse of Blackreef Island’s good old days!
Ever since you obtained the Necronomicon, strange distortions have started appearing around town. The book reveals them. Symbols are emerging in certain parts of the island, but what do they mean?
Is there a hidden room beneath your shop? What lies inside, and why have you never seen it before? Whispers call you in from behind the door. When you enter, you are shocked by what you discover. Was your father not as innocent as you believed? Why did he do all this?
An urgent fax arrives at your desk. When you accept it, a burning ship docks at your yard. You must extinguish the flames and repair the vessel as quickly as possible. Time is limited; if you’re too slow, the ship will sink!
Based on your feedback and some enhancements we wanted to implement ourselves, we’ve made the following changes:
Repaired broken sections of the pier
Added a new customer type with time limited requests
Added new characters
Improved controller support
Fixed various issues related to several ship types
Improvements about day and night cycle
Bug fixing about fainting while swimmings
8 new achievements
New letters about the story
You will be able to experience all of this and much more, when the update goes live on November 30. We hope you enjoy the new content. Please continue to send us your feedback and suggestions. We will keep building Sunken Engine together with you.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who played the game, shared their thoughts, helped us find bugs, and gave feedback. Throughout this process, we made sure to respond to every comment and stay in touch with you and we will continue to do so. With the bug fixes and content updates we’ve made, we believe we’ve managed to keep you satisfied.
As of today, our game has reached 10,000 sales and 45,000 wishlists! We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who supported us on this journey.
Now that we’ve left the launch week behind, it’s time to talk a bit about the future:
Opening and closing the Marketplace area
Patience mechanic for customers
Emergency ships (fires, etc.)
Repairing broken dock areas (will require money and level)
Pressure Systems License
Safety License
Shelf system for cursed items
Tougher stains (require pouring water from a bucket to clean)
Carnival Area
Unveiling mysteries through the Necronomicon
We plan to release all of these features with the November 30 update. If there are things we cannot add with this update, the remaining will be added with the next update. During this time, we’ll also be fixing the bugs you’ve reported and working to make controller support as smooth as possible.
On January 30, with the “Gülcemal” Update, we’ll be adding Gülcemal, one of the most significant ships in Turkish maritime history, to the game. Unlike the others, this ship will feature its own story and unique mechanics , you can think of it as a kind of side quest.
Of course, this update will also bring more ships, customers, and new content to the game. For now, we can share a size comparison between the Gülcemal and one of the existing 3-star ships in the game.
We know you’re excited to see where the story goes next and so are we. These updates actually play a key role in strengthening and advancing the main narrative. We’ll have to wait a bit longer for Act 2, but the new content and side stories we’re adding will serve as a solid foundation for what’s to come.
Once again, thank you all for your incredible interest and support. Our next post will be a DevLog focusing on upcoming updates and new content.
See you soon!

This hotfix turned out to be a bit tricky. We are aware that some minor translation mistakes or small additional issues may still exist, but we believe most major problems have now been resolved. The main focus of this update was the issue with the Scraper Tool, and actually several other tools including the pipe, getting stuck or freezing. This problem has now been fixed. In addition, a few small optimizations were made to improve FPS performance.
With the seventh hotfix, we can say that we have now completed the first week since launch. This also means that there will no longer be frequent small hotfixes. Instead, we will move to a new period with larger updates that include both bug fixes and new mechanics or content additions.
As mentioned in the roadmap, the first major update we will begin working on will feature Gülcemal, new licenses, and a few small surprises.
We have made it through the first week with all its ups and downs, and I would like to express my sincere thanks to each and every one of you who has been with us through this process. From now on, you can expect less frequent but more substantial and content-rich updates.
Today, we listened to your valuable feedback and added a few small but meaningful features that should make your play experience more comfortable. We’re also continuing to fix bugs and improve stability.
A small digital clock has been added to the bottom right corner of the screen for those who want to keep track of time during the day. You can still check the analog clock on the shop wall if you prefer a more classic look.
At the end of each day, the game now displays not only the day number but also the current month.
The number of eyes appearing around the bar area when sanity increases has been reduced to make the atmosphere easier on the eyes.
Fixed an issue where multiple captains could appear overlapping each other.
Fixed a problem where the Level 2 radio license could appear when pressing Q even if it wasn’t unlocked.
Adjusted the Level 2 radio license, it is now easier to play and easier to solve.
Addressed a rare issue where clicking “New Game” would cause no response on some systems.
Updated input handling to prevent cases where controls could become locked after breaking oysters or closing the Journal Panel. Further investigation is ongoing.
Added two new characters: one captain and one market customer.
These are the things that we want to discuss inside our team and focus on.
Being able to adjust graphic settings
Weather Sound Settings in Settings Panel
The Captain door in the 3 Star ships (we know this issue but we will adress this in future updates)
Recently, we noticed some misconceptions about our character artwork being AI-generated. All of our characters are hand-drawn by our art team.
During the demo phase, we briefly used AI-assisted sketches due to the limited development time, but in Early Access, every illustration is a handmade.
We’re also sharing a small GIF showing the drawing stages as proof of the process.
Thank you for your continued support and enjoy the game!
Our most valuable tester, Köfte.
Even though we are far from finished, with the major bugs that deeply affected the game now largely under control, we’ve begun focusing more on smaller issues and gameplay improvements. We hope that by the end of this week, if we can reduce the number of bugs significantly and reach a clean slate, we’ll be ready to move on to larger mechanical updates, new areas, and much more. Therefore, the bug reports you send us this week are especially important.
• The headlight feature has been added. You can now improve your visibility while working or exploring at night. PC: L key Controller: Down button (D-Pad Down)
• Fixed an issue where the Tool Panel could fail to open and cause instability if the player quickly returned to the main menu and reopened the game. • Worked on a stuttering issue that affected several panels such as the kitchen and the gambler at the bar. We hope this has now been resolved. • Fixed a problem that caused a red error message to appear in the bug reporting system under certain conditions. • Identified a Steam Controller Input interference that caused some controller buttons not to work. Steam Controller Input support has been disabled to prevent this. • The newly added font appeared too thin in certain areas. We’ve made adjustments to improve legibility by slightly thickening the font where necessary.
• The skill that increases money earned from ships now works correctly. • Fixed an issue where accepting a fax at the exact moment the night begins and the cursed ship appears could cause overlapping ship instances. • Increased the speed of the resource machine based on player feedback. • Fixed a bug that prevented engine repairs on the one-star blue-cabin ship. • Fixed a problem where the engine block cover could obstruct repair actions on some ships. • Reduced the intensity of the head-bobbing effect, as some players reported discomfort and headaches caused by it.
Some of the issues we’ve been fixing have been quite stubborn and took a lot of time to resolve. However, we continue to work on improvements every day. You can reach us through the “Send Report” option in the game, the Steam Discussions section, or our Discord channel to report any remaining problems.
Hello everyone,
Thank you again to everyone who continues to share feedback and bug reports with us. Every message helps us move one step closer to a smoother, more stable experience. This update focuses primarily on fixing issues with the Cyrillic characters display, several mechanical improvements, and multiple quality-of-life adjustments across the game.
Fixed a major issue where Russian fonts were displayed incorrectly or appeared broken. Text readability has now been restored.
Improved character spacing and alignment for Cyrillic characters across all menus and UI panels.
Ongoing work continues for additional non-Latin languages that may still experience text overflow or misalignment.
Circle Menu background size standardized for consistent scaling across resolutions and aspect ratios.
Fixed an issue where drawers could prevent nearby doors from appearing correctly. Interaction logic has been updated.
Adjusted several interface panels to improve visibility and navigation clarity.
The welding machine speed has been slightly increased for smoother repair flow.
Fixed a problem where the Lockpick 2 tutorial video was replaced by the “Taking Pearls” clip. The correct video now plays.
Fixed an issue on large ships where the captain’s cabin door could occasionally disappear.
A column near the ship generator that blocked the player’s view during repairs has been adjusted for better visibility.
Improved interaction consistency when placing or taking items. Holding interactions now start slower and gradually accelerate for a more natural rhythm.
Fixed overly fast item transfer speed when taking or storing items from shelves or bags.
Reduced the volume of the loud sound effect at the start of each Act.
The oyster cracking section has been optimized to reduce the frequency of bugs and input issues.
Controller sensitivity has been rebalanced and now properly responds to in-game Settings adjustments.
General input handling improvements for smoother gameplay with controllers.
The “Send Report” function now correctly attaches Player.log files to help us identify issues faster.
If you get stuck in the environment or fall off the dock, you can use the “Respawn at Shipyard” option in the Pause Menu to teleport back to your workshop. We’ll continue improving collision and movement handling in future updates.
New lighting and brightness settings for better visibility in dark areas.
As always, thank you for your patience and support. We’re steadily working to make each update smoother and more comfortable for everyone.
With gratitude, Two Nomads Studio
After the issues we experienced with the Tool Menu, we quickly switched to a horizontal layout as a temporary fix. Now it’s time to bring back the Cycle Menu! We’ve reintroduced it with a smoother and more comfortable experience.
In future updates, we’ll also be adding the option to switch tools using the number keys. We’re eager to fix bugs quickly and move forward by adding more content to the game.
A huge thank you to everyone for your valuable feedback!
Two Nomads Studio
Hello everyone,
First of all, thank you to each and every one of you who reached out through various channels to share your feedback and issues. Your reports are incredibly valuable to us, as they help us make the game better step by step. In this update, we mainly focused on controller-related problems and several issues that were affecting the overall comfort of gameplay.
Fixed an issue where the game would revert to English after changing the language and restarting.
Navigating menus with a controller was difficult. Menu navigation has been improved for smoother control.
Controller sensitivity was too high. Adjusted and balanced the sensitivity.
The new Tool Menu sensitivity has been reduced for better precision.
You no longer need to click repeatedly when placing or taking pearls or oysters in the kitchen, interacting with sacks at the bazaar, or moving items in and out of the fishing bucket. You can now hold down the button instead of clicking multiple times.
Reduced visual flickering in the Level 2 Ship Radio mechanic.
Fixed an issue where the reel sound could get stuck while fishing.
Fixed a visibility issue on one of the large ships where the engine cover was blocking the view.
We’ve seen many players getting stuck in certain areas, behind doors, or falling off the dock. To help with this, we’ve added a “Respawn at Shipyard” button to the Pause Menu. It will instantly teleport you back to your workshop. We know this is a temporary fix, but we hope it helps while we continue to work on a more permanent solution.
We’re aware of a major issue with Russian fonts. This will take a bit of time to resolve, but it’s a high priority and will be fixed as soon as possible.
We know many of you prefer the old circular Tool Menu from the demo. The current line-shaped version is just a temporary solution for smoother usability. We plan to bring back a version closer to the demo soon.
Some players mentioned having trouble seeing in dark areas. We plan to add both a Brightness setting and a Headlamp feature.
We’ve noticed some players getting stuck or losing progress in the oyster cracking section. We’ve made some initial improvements, but a full rework will come in future updates.
We’ve received reports that the in-game day count resets after reloading the game. This issue will be fixed soon.
Once again, thank you all for your patience and support. Our main goal right now is to stabilize the experience and ensure everyone can play comfortably. After that, we’ll continue with new mechanics, updates, and story progress.
Thank you for staying with us, Two Nomads Studio
We noticed an issue related to the Chinese language. Due to an error in the font we were using, the game was crashing and causing optimization problems. We worked quickly to resolve this issue.
We sincerely apologize to all our players from China for encountering such an error.
