Hey everyone!
Today I’d like to share a little more with you and reveal a few things about what’s coming. Since we’re getting closer to the biggest moments in the game, and we still plan to release the full version by the end of 2027, we’ll slowly start showing more of what’s ahead - of course, without major spoilers. But before that, let’s start with a quick progress update. We’re almost done with the scripts for the new Episode 5.2. There’s only one extra scene I still want to add, plus a few character dialogues that need some improvements. We’ve already completed nearly 40% of the renders for the new episode, including a huge new activity in the bar and almost three full scenes. From now on, every new episode will be bigger than the previous ones, so development time will naturally get longer - but more on that in a moment. As for coding and testing, there’s not much to say there right now.Now let’s talk about what’s next and our roadmap for future updates. At the moment, we plan to release 5 more updates. Episodes 5.2 and 6.0 should still come out this year, while Episodes 6.1, 6.2, and the final 7.0 are planned for next year.As I mentioned, these updates will be larger and include more scenes - especially the hotter ones that many of you are waiting for. Since we’re entering the final part of the story, most scenes now need to connect with each other. That’s why we decided to make bigger updates instead of leaving you with a cliffhanger after every scene. And speaking of endings… we’re planning 5 of them - or actually, maybe even 6.These will be the main story endings. They are somewhat connected to the characters in the game, but most importantly, they will reflect your past and future choices. Not all endings will be positive, not all will be happy, and not all will be bad either. Just like in real life, some decisions push us in certain directions, and sometimes it’s hard to tell if we truly ended up where we wanted to be :)Many people have asked about this, so I also want to reveal one thing: the new phone app called “Bonds” does not always lead to a specific ending, and the characters there are not tied to one particular ending either. However, they will definitely have some impact on where your story ends up.Does that explain much? Not really - and that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be. Until the very end, you won’t be fully sure how much your decisions really mattered.Besides the main story endings, there will also be smaller side outcomes. For example, your choice to compete with or cooperate with Madison will not affect the main ending, but it will definitely change some scenes along the way and your relationship with her. That’s all I’m revealing for now - you’ll have to wait a little longer for more.As always, I’m leaving you with a few renders from the new episode, and may Riley be with you.Have a great weekend!Hey everyone!
It’s been a while since the last big update. I posted two smaller summaries of our work recently, and I’ll try to keep doing those regularly now - smaller updates every Friday, and bigger ones like this about once a month. So, I’d like to share a few things with you. Let’s start with the overall progress. As you may notice, we are now halfway through writing the script for the new episode. Of course, the whole concept was planned a long time ago, and we already know exactly what we want to show in Episode 5.2. Right now, we are working on all the dialogues and the cheeky details. When it comes to coding and testing, we’ve probably fixed all reported bugs already (but if you still find something, feel free to let us know). As mentioned in the smaller Steam updates, we added information about the end of each storyline/episode, so everyone knows where the unlockable content ends. Some locations will now be available more often and at better times - like the bar and the gym. Honestly, I don’t even remember why we decided to close them during certain days or hours before, but we dropped that idea, and we probably should have done it much earlier. We also added information about when you can expect the next update. It will most likely be in August, but the date is not final yet - it could come later, or maybe even earlier.About graphics and animations - we already created around 600 new renders, which is a pretty good result for just 3 weeks of work, and we also prepared a few “interesting” animations. In this update, we are focusing a lot on side content connected to the main story. Most of it will continue scenes that started in Episode 5.1, and there will also be many new bar-related events that will appear both in Episode 5.2 and later in 6.0.I can’t spoil too much, but there will be a few guest characters from other games appearing as customers, so I’m sure that’s something many of you will enjoy :) Besides that, after the teasing from the previous update, we’ll finally move the main story forward. More and more of the choices you made earlier - and also the recent ones - will start to show visible impact on Riley’s life. That’s all for now. As always, I want to remind you that we are still actively looking for experienced artists. We work mainly in Daz3D, but experience with Blender, Marvelous Designer, ZBrush, or Photoshop is also very welcome.I’ll leave you with a few renders and wish you all a great weekend!Hi!
A few days have passed since the update, so it’s time for a short summary of all the messages I’ve read from you - here, on the forum, Discord, and everywhere else. I want you to know that even if I don’t always reply directly, I read all your feedback and take it into account. As you probably noticed, this was more of a bridge update, with a lot of teasing. It still included some sex scenes - during D&D, at the gym with the trainer, with Wyatt, and in the last VR episode. I know this is a love-it-or-hate-it topic, and not everyone enjoys the fantasy setting, so there will be only one more D&D scene. That said, it also has its fans. Empathy is one of my favorite traits - it helps us see things from different perspectives. Just because I don’t like something doesn’t mean others don’t enjoy it (the same goes for fetishes). There’s one thing that keeps coming up with every update: that it’s too short, that someone’s favorite character wasn’t included, or that updates should come faster. I’ve been hearing this for two years, and I always say the same thing - if we could, we would make more, faster, and better. I work over 250 hours every month, including weekends, because I truly enjoy what I do and want to spend all my free time on it But I simply can’t speed things up any further. We are actively trying to hire new people, but so far their artistic skills haven’t been good enough to keep the render quality at the level we want.So what surprises me is this: for the past two years, we’ve consistently released updates every 3–4 months, each with a similar amount of content (both renders count and script words), and after every update there’s feedback asking for bigger and less frequent releases. So I’ll repeat what I always say - if you don’t like shorter updates, wait for two updates to come out, or for the full release of the game at the end of 2027.I would really like to hire two or three more artists and make updates twice as big, but I’ve reviewed over 100 candidates and none met the quality standards. The quality of the game and renders is very important to me - I won’t lower it just to produce content faster. Most of the negative opinions about episode 5.1 come from people who expected more adult content. This is another thing I always point out - we are making an Adult Visual Novel, which combines multiple elements (Adult, Visual, Novel), and adult content is only one of them. Some updates will have more of it, some less. If that’s all you’re looking for, you might often feel disappointed (in that case, see point above - wait for the full release in 2027).One last thing I wrote on another forum that I’d like to share here: We live in times where people want everything fast, short, and immediate - a 40-minute vlog on YouTube can feel boring when you can watch a 10-second short instead. It’s similar with SoD - some people don’t follow the story if every scene doesn’t include nudity or sex, without realizing that it’s actually the mix of those scenes with everything else that makes the game interesting (at least in my opinion). You might not like me as a developer or the direction I sometimes take, but everyone who complains after each update still comes back to see what’s new - and that says a lot. That’s my main point - I agree this update focused on building tension, and people looking for quick, intense content might be disappointed. I’m aware of some imperfections, but I also know how to build tension in a way that keeps the story engaging. The game isn’t about a single update - it’s about the full experience. To finish on a positive note - I focus on criticism because I want to explain my thinking, but I always read and truly appreciate all the positive messages. Those people understand that this game (maybe not very important in terms of culture or art) is very important to me. I spend my whole days working on it, and even when I’m doing something else, I’m thinking about how we can improve SoD. I’m doing everything I can to make it complete, engaging, and as good as possible, as fast as possible. In the end, everyone who says the update was too short simply wants more content to continue Riley’s story - and to me, that shows players are truly engaged. That’s all for now - work on next episode 5.2 started 10 days ago. Talk to you soon!P.S. If this was a bridge/teasing update, I wonder what might come in the future. The fresh new episode 5.1 is now available and within your reach!
I want to thank you for your support. You’re amazing! Have fun and don't forget to share your feedback!I also invite you to leave the review - Steps of Debauchery on SteamEpisode 5.1 - Change LogChange log – no major spoilers. You can read more in the link above. In this update you get:7 new main scenes in the Quest Log (described a bit more in the link above),
a new and final VR scene with Irina and her husband,
a third optional scene with the trainer available at the gym,
a new pole dancing level,
an introduction to new optional sauna scenes,
a new phone app that will slowly guide you to the game’s endings,
we also changed the image format from WebP to AVIF — let us know if you notice any difference in quality, because thanks to this the update is about half the size it would normally be!

Hi! First, I want to thank you for all your kind words and support. No matter what, family will always be the most important thing to us. At the same time, we’re very grateful for what we can create together and share with you, so as soon as we could, we came back to work.
The update is almost ready. We’re adding the final touches, like sounds, and fixing unwanted bugs. As soon as it’s done, we’ll smoothly move on to working on the next update. That’s all I wanted to share with you.Talk to you next week! Below is a reminder of the release dates:April 10 – for Devoted+ tiers on Patreon

Hi!
As you probably know, we are working on the game in a very small team - basically 2–3 people. Because of that, private and family matters can strongly affect our work. Unfortunately, that’s what happened this time. I won’t go into details, but recent events in both my life and my programmer’s life mean that we need to focus on our families for a few days and put everything else aside.I want to say that the update is almost ready to release. However, we don’t have the right mindset now to finish the final details. Because of this, we decided to delay the update by two weeks. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and hope you understand.New release dates:April 10 – for Devoted+ tiers on Patreon

Hi!
There are about two weeks left until the release of Update 5.1. I can't say that everything is completely ready yet, because as usual many things break along the way. But as always, we will do our best to make sure everything is ready and polished by release day.Today’s post is a Change Log preview – a quick look at what you can expect and how big this update will be.Let’s start with the numbers. The script is around 24,000 words, which is quite a bit more than in the previous “smaller” updates. The number of new renders is also over 2,000. This is a number I would like to maintain because, as I mentioned a few posts ago, with our current capabilities we aim for around ~700 renders per month. Now a small spoiler about what you can expect in the new update (without too many details). We will continue the storyline with Jake, learn more about his past and his plans, and develop our artistic skills during art classes. We will also confront the mysterious Mr. X, and continue our D&D adventures. There will also be an additional VR scene, and it will finally be time to use the new gym outfit. As for extra content, we will further develop pole dancing skills. There will also be a few other things, but I won’t spoil everything.Expect many new animations, plenty of new sounds, and a few new possibilites that will be expanded even more in the next episode, 5.2.Here are the release dates for Episode 5.1:March 27 – for Devoted+ tiers on Patreon
March 29 – for Inquisitive+ tiers on Patreon and on Steam
April 5 – for Attentive+ tiers on Patreon
Hi!
This is the post most of you have been waiting for – a status update and the planned release date for the new update. As always, I’m sharing a preview graphic. As you can see, most of the update is already finished. We have also completed the biggest solo scene so far. It will be the fourth and second-to-last D&D scene. We are also focusing more on world activities around the main story. In episode 5.1 there will be a few of them, but the main focus on these activities will be in episode 5.2.We still have one more scene to create. It was originally planned for the next episode, but we decided to move it earlier because it connects everything nicely. Because of this, we need a little more time, but the update will also be a bit bigger. We also had a small delay with animations. As you know, we care a lot about their quality, so we don’t want to rush them. Luckily, the issue has been solved and everything is back on track.I will post a detailed changelog about a week before the update release. So when can you expect the new version?March 27 – for Devoted+ tiers on Patreon

Hi everyone!
It’s been one month since we came back to work after the holiday DLC and a short break, so it’s a good time to show you what’s happening behind the scenes and what we are working on for you.As you can see on the graphic, we are close to finishing the scripts, which means the written part of the game. The full structure of the story and scenes is already planned for the whole game. Right now we are adding dialogues, emotions, and small details – the “skin and muscles” on the skeleton. In about 7–10 days, the scripts for episode 5.1 should be ready. Within the next 6 months, we plan to finish scripts for the entire game. This will give us much more clarity and peace of mind about where we are going and how much work is left 🙂When it comes to images, we are getting close to the halfway point. In January, we created about 700 renders. Our goal is to keep an average of 20 renders per day. No matter if we are coding, writing, or it’s a holiday or special occasion – if we miss one day, we will make up for it the next day. I think this number is good for keeping the current quality. Animations are not included here. Renders are the main bottleneck for us (and for all AVNs), but we hope that this year we can hire at least one more artist. This would let us increase the pace to about 30 renders per day and around 1000 renders per month, which would be awesome.I can’t say exactly what you will see in the new update, but there will definitely be a lot of Riley 🙂 I’m still moving some scenes between episode 5.1 and episode 5.2. As mentioned before, we are also working on extra free-roam content outside the main story. We focused too much on main scenes before and neglected this a bit, which is a shame because free roam is important to many of you. Over the next 3 updates, we will expand it a lot: bar work, pole dancing, beach activities, gym workouts, and a few other optional activities that we want to slowly add to the game. The new update, episode 5.1, is planned for March. We will share the exact date closer to mid-February. If you have any questions, I’ll try to answer them today or tomorrow. I’m leaving you with a few renders to enjoy – there’s a lot to look forward to. As always, have a calm and nice weekend!Hi!
It’s finally time for a small update about what’s going on with us and what you can expect. There was a lot of information in recent posts, so some things may repeat.
Since the beginning of the year, we’ve been working on the new Episode 5.1. We decided to move away from the old system of releasing two small updates and then one big one. From now on, updates will be bigger, but they will come out less often. Number of scenes in each update will remain same, but each scene is much longer than before. Almost every scene now includes some sexual content and teasing, and building tension takes more time and images. At the start of the game, some scenes had 50–70 renders. Now, almost every scene has over 150 renders, and some very big ones even reach 500-600 renders. We want everyone to find something they enjoy, but this means we need more time.I mentioned before that we decided to add and change some things to extend the game. We expect about two more years of development, but the full story outline is already done. If we add anything new, it will be extra activities. We are currently about 65% done with the whole game. This means many of your past choices, and some future ones, will already affect the ending. There will be five endings. These main endings will also connect with other events to keep the story consistent. Some scenes will be shared between paths, and some will not move the story forward, but instead create fun, naughty moments.
As for recent news: I’ve decided to actively look for artists to work with us again. Unfortunately, we can’t train new people, so we’re only looking for experienced artists. This may slow me down a bit at first, but I’m hopeful I can bring in 1–2 people who will really speed up development. I believe this is a necessary step, as this is currently our biggest limitation. As always, I’m leaving you with a few renders. Have a great weekend, folks!Hi!
We are very close to the holidays and the end of the year, so it’s a good time to sum up the last DLC, the whole year, and share a small plan for next year. Let’s start with the most recent thing – the DLC.The reception was pretty much what we expected. It was mostly positive and many people liked it. The only exceptions were players who did not like the premise itself – the magical, holiday, wizard-like theme (probably the same people who don’t like the D&D arc). This was our idea from the very beginning, and I’m happy with how we delivered it. The story was simple and straightforward, with one main line, a small side plot, some funny twists, and a bit of naughtiness. As I mentioned before, there was no corruption theme in this DLC. Because of that, it was a bit separate from the main story. The world itself also has both fans and critics. That’s why this DLC was not directly connected to the main plot and was meant to be just a fever-like Christmas dream of Riley.I also want to respond to the criticism that this DLC was a cash grab and that we released it while the main game is not finished yet... Yes, you are right. We could have waited one or two more years until the main game was done. However, we do not want to increase the price of the main game, and we also don’t want to release it in episodes with extra costs like many other Adult Visual Novels. If you bought Steps of Debauchery, you will get access to the final game in the future with no hidden fees. The money from the DLC helps us continue working on the game and improving it, which I hope you can see in both renders and animations. I understand your frustration, but the DLC is optional. You don’t need it to fully enjoy the game. For me personally, it was a break from working on SoD. Even though we used the same characters, it felt fresh and helped me avoid burnout and monotony. I don’t regret this decision. You may disagree with me, but I would do it again. That said, we are not planning another DLC right now. All future updates will focus on the main SoD story. Now I’d like to briefly sum up our year 2025. For me, it was a very intense and interesting year, with many ups and downs. My emotions were all over the place. I couldn’t always fully focus on the project, but there wasn’t a single day when I didn’t work on it. A lot happened in my life, like my second job as a firefighter, which I eventually quit to focus on SoD, my wedding with the woman I love, and a few other happy or less happy events.Even so, I’m happy with what we created this year: 3 updates plus the DLC. My original goal was to make 12,000 renders in total, which we didn’t fully reach. Still, we made around 10,000 renders in 2025 alone, which I think is a good result. I also had some creative burnout and fell into a bit of routine. Working on the DLC helped me focus on something different, and now I feel motivated again to fully dive back into Riley’s story.I also hoped we would find an extra person to help with rendering, but that didn’t happen. I don’t want to lower quality just to release updates faster. On the bright side, Lorefen joined us and helped with basically everything: language mistakes and typos, easier script work, Q&A, and active developer relations. Thanks a lot, Oskar! Now let’s move smoothly to our plans for 2026. We slightly changed direction. At first, we planned two different endings with a few branches, but they didn’t fit well with the game’s overall light tone. We spent a lot of time improving this. With the new plan, the game will have 5 different endings with optional branches (I won’t explain exactly what that means yet).We want your choices, even earlier ones, to matter. However, this won’t be a simple choice of love interests - you won’t directly pick an ending with Elijah, Ivy, or someone else, because it doesn’t fit our vision of Riley. I’ll stop here so I don’t spoil too much. The endings will be fairly smooth and will share some scenes, so we don’t get lost during development and so new updates stay interesting for every route. What does this mean for you? More scenes and more Riley content than we originally planned. What does it mean for us? We definitely won’t finish the game by the end of 2026.The number of updates will stay the same. We plan to release 6 or 7 more updates, but they will be bigger and released with more time between them. We also don’t want to stretch the game forever. The final version will definitely be released in 2027. What happens after that? Who knows? 🙂That’s all for now. My team and I are taking a short holiday break, and then we’ll fully focus on Episode 5.1, which will be available around late February or early March. Finally, I want to wish you all calm, joyful, and happy Christmas holidays. I hope you feel that little spark of joy, enjoy the moment, appreciate small things, and let your inner child take control a bit more often. All the best, and see you in the new year!QoL:

Hi!
The holiday update is ready and now in your hands. I want to thank you for all your support and trust so far. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the DLC just as much as I did while creating it, and that it will bring a smile to your face at least once.
For now, I wish you lots of fun and a very merry Christmas — even though I’ll probably make one more post on the holiday itself.
That’s all for now — I just wanted to let you know that we’re not slacking off and we’re working hard so you can enjoy the new DLC without major issues! Talk to you in a few days!
Hi! I hope your Sunday is going really calm and relaxing and it is a perfect moment to share a few renders and some info about the new DLC coming on December 12!
This DLC is a standalone story, which means it isn’t directly connected to the main plot (though the same characters appear, so it’s still best to play at least some of the main game first to know what it is about). We’ve created a completely new world with free roam, featuring 10 new holiday-themed locations. All characters get new backgrounds, there are almost 3,000 new renders, around 30k words of script, lots of animations, and professional SFX recorded by real people (girls moaned especially for you).. There are also new achievements and 27 special holiday wallpapers to collect. So there are going to be plenty of things to do! We don’t have much time left, but we still have a lot of work to finish to make sure everything is perfect. I really hope we can be ready by December 12th and won’t have to change the deadline, but it all depends on how well things go this week. So without wasting time, I’m going back to work - Sunday is not a day for rest :DI also wanted to share some information about SoD:
We’ve known for a long time which direction the game will go and what choices you’ll be able to make. We decided to expand some storylines so everyone can enjoy more content with their favorite characters. We’re planning to release 6 or 7 more updates: 5.1, 5.2, 6.0, 6.1, 6.2, 7.0 (and possibly 8.0). These updates will be bigger than before, packed with as much content as possible, including things like continuing the bar dance scene and adding new activities. After releasing the new DLC and taking a short holiday break, we’ll return to work on episode 5.1, which will likely come out around late February or early March.
That’s all for now! I’m leaving you with a few renders and going back to work! The fresh new episode 5.0 is now available and within your reach!
I also to thank you for your support. You’re amazing! Have fun and don't forget to share your feedback! If you are curious about the changes that have been made, you can find them all in the link below.Episode 5.0 - Change LogHey everyone!
I don’t really have any big news to share - the update is almost ready. We’re just adding the final sounds and achievements, and still testing the new version to make sure there are no major bugs, so you can fully enjoy the update.
If you haven’t read the last post yet, you’ll find all the details there about what to expect. Here are a few new renders - let the countdown begin!
Hey everyone! Today’s post is a bit longer, but I’ve got a lot to share - both about what’s coming in the next few weeks and what we’ve been secretly working on over the past year. I’m not someone who likes keeping things hidden, so I’m really happy I can finally tell you more!

Recruitment: We tested many people, but it was more trouble than help. In the end, we hired one full-time artist (thanks, Alex!) who’s been a huge help. I hoped to hire 2–3 more, but so far no one matched our style. Recruitment is still open, but passively — I’m not spending more time searching right now, because instead of testing people I could create much more renders myself.
Future projects: We’re not planning a direct sequel to SoD. Maybe a DLC with a separate story, or maybe something new — but for now, SoD is the focus.
How I started: I first worked for other devs (can’t say much because of NDAs), but I learned a lot and then decided to make my own game. Comparing the early renders to now, I can say I’ve learned even more. I try to improve every day, fixing old mistakes and pushing quality forward.
Characters/assets: I can’t share assets or spoil content. About Riley — she isn’t based on anyone, I just created a character I personally liked.

Hi friends! It’s been a while, and we’ve made some new renders, so here’s a little update on how things are going. Everything is on track – see you again next month, hehe.
But seriously, let’s start with a progress update:
The scripts are written, the text part is 100% done, coding and testing are going smoothly, and the graphics - the most time-consuming part – are about halfway finished. As I mentioned before, we’re not only working on Episode 5.0, but also on a new DLC that will be released later this year.
It’s still a bit too early to share details about the DLC – what it’s about, how far we are, or when exactly it’s coming – but you’ll find out soon. I often get questions about why we’re focusing on DLC when the main game isn’t finished yet. The answer is simple: it’s not about “grabbing money” (though extra funds always help), but about wanting to work on something fresh. After spending so much time on Steps of Debauchery and Riley’s main story, I started feeling a bit burned out. I almost took a long break, but instead I decided to work on a different Riley story. This DLC is fun, lighthearted, and very naughty – making it has been a joy for me, and I think you’ll enjoy it just as much. So no more burnout – I’m more motivated than ever.
Back to Episode 5.0 – it could be ready earlier than November, but since we’re focusing on the DLC now, we want to keep everything stress-free and smooth. So the official release date for Episode 5.0 is early November (exact day to be announced next month). If things go well, we’ll move straight to creating Episode 5.1, which should make the next updates come out faster.
Honestly, I’ve looked at the new renders so much that I sometimes feel like the episode is already released – but nope, it’s just the upcoming update :D Before I go, please add Exploring the Big Apple to your wishlist – it’s coming next month!
And instead of the usual teasers, I’ve got a little game for you: here are 4 renders of Riley’s butt. One is from the new DLC, one is bonus content, and two are from the upcoming update. Can you guess which is which? Let me know in the comments!
Ain't that a great view?
Hey there!
It's been a few days, so it's the perfect time to share a quick update on what we've been working on. As usual, let's start with some visuals:
As you can see, the scripts, meaning the written content, dialogues, and all that, are almost done. All scenes are already planned out. We might still add a few extra things like achievements, but overall, this part should be fully finished by next week.
On the programming and testing side, we’ve added a few new features and, more importantly, fixed all previously reported bugs. Some of you have issues launching the game on Steam, that’s because of a recent Ren’Py update (which is the engine most AVNs are made with). Luckily, there’s already a solution posted on the forum, so check it out if you're having problems!
Now, for the biggest and most time-consuming part: renders. We’ve completed about 30% of the upcoming update, which will likely have the most animations we've ever done. At the same time, we're also working on the previously mentioned DLC, which should also come out this year. Things are going smoothly now. We’ve already created the biggest and most difficult scenes, so everything should move even faster from here.
Writing this made me realize how much we’ve actually accomplished - especially considering it’s only been a month since the last update! I’m not ready to give a release date for Episode 5.0 just yet /anything can happen/ but we’re aiming for October. Maybe sooner, maybe later. It’s still too early to say for sure. What I can say is that you’ll definitely enjoy what we have in store for you this year.
That’s all for now! If you haven’t already, please consider leaving a review on Steam and adding Exploring the Big Apple to your wishlist (you can find info about it in the last devlog).
I’m leaving a few renders as always - talk to you soon and have a great weekend!
