Stars In The Trash news & patch notes

Hi everyone!

I remain committed to the quality of the game, and today’s patch fixes a small bug that slipped through. Since it’s story-related, I’ll mark it as a spoiler.

Patch Notes:

• During the confrontation with Ursus, if he catches you while you’re standing under the truck door and you press the interact button, the cutscene would freeze. This issue has now been fixed.

Hi everyone!

On Friday we found out that the engine our games are made with, Unity, had a major security vulnerability. Your safety is very important to me, and I want you to play with peace of mind , so I spent the weekend fixing this issue. While I was at it, I also took care of a few bugs I had already identified.

Patch Notes:

• Fixed Unity engine security issue.

• Fixed a bug in the tower level where Moka could sometimes respawn at an earlier checkpoint after falling into the void.

• Minor tweaks across several levels to make the experience smoother.

Patch Notes

• In the supermarket, if Moka released the apple from the ceiling pipes, it would go through the floor, blocking progress and making it necessary to repeat the scene.
• Some Russian characters did not display correctly.
• When Moka lies down on the bridge blanket, the UI button did not disappear.

Patch Notes

• Slightly extended attack range to make interaction with objects easier.
• Fixed a bug in the last checkpoint of the Waste Ground level that caused an incorrect rat count and a possible blockage.
• Now entering chapter selection does not reset the last checkpoint.
• When you reach the Bridge level, Waste Ground is unlocked from the level selector (previously you had to reach the Gothic Quarter).
• In the blanket section, once Ursus appears you can't go back.
• Minor graphic and audio corrections.

Patch Notes

• Starting a new game unnecessarily warned players about losing progress, even when no progress exists.
• From the chapter selection menu, a scene could be loaded several times in a row, causing a malfunction (Goodbye Flying Moka).
• Exiting to the main menu did not stop the vibration and some sounds continued to play.
• In the tower, Ursus now runs faster from one window to another. If Moka reached the last window before Ursus, the sprites were duplicated.
• Volume settings are saved between game sessions.
• In the dolmen area, if you ate the catnip looking to the right Moka went through a collider and went out of the map.
• Minor changes in colliders and sprites.

Patch Notes

• Flashing lights warning for photosensitive people. I'm really sorry, I didn't realize this could be a problem. Now You can disable the flashing lights from the accessibility menu.
• Fixed the bug that allowed to break the glass of the supermarket by dropping the apple near it.
• The truck can ram us when we are escaping from it.
• Moka can't meow when he is carrying an object in his mouth.
• Corrected the depth of some layers in the forest.
• Corrected the collider of the burrow, that allowed to go out of the map.
• In the tower level, removed a ledge that was between the clouds and shouldn't be there.

• When Moka jumps or rolls from a puddle to dry ground, he doesn't shake his hind leg to shake the water. This is something I would like to keep.
• During most scenes Moka can meow. This should not be allowed, but several people have asked me not to remove it. Since it is optional I have decided to keep it.
