After over 2 years of staring into the Godot engine editor, months of closed and open playtests, and countless hours of polishing, fixing, balancing, and re-balancing our deck-building, slot-slinging roguelike RPG adventure is out on Steam and you can play it RIGHT NOW. That's right - you should grab Slot or Not right away, taking advantage of the special 10% release discount.
The game is 100% complete, but that doesn't mean we're stopping in our tracks. Why not give it 110%? 120%? Or more! We love our weird little game and we do hope you'll feel the same way about it - that's why we're planning on supporting it post-release with even more polish (please give us your thoughts, so we can focus our efforts where it matters most), more content and even extra play modes. Here's an overview of our immediate plans:
Please make sure to follow Slot or Not on Steam or via our social channels - or better yet - join our Discord server, so you can keep the tabs on all upcoming updates or even get your hands on beta-releases and help us test and balance new content.
We've prepared something special for those of you who'd like to offer even more support to our tiny team (2 person - Mark and Konstantine, MaKo, get it?). Our Slot or Not Supporter Pack ofers something extra on top of the base game. Getting it you'll receive:
Full Slot or Not OST (Mp3 + Lossless FLAC, also playable with the in-game widget)
Additional in-game playable character - Ribbetta the Frog
Digital Art Book (PDF)
Digital Lore Book (PDF)
Two extra Slottie skins: fancy Goth and old-school Slot MK1
If you already purchased the base game, don't fret - you can still get the DLC with special 10% discount, because the Supporter Pack Bundle is a "complete your collection" type bundle. Check it out!
We've already mentioned the special 10% release discount. But there's a good chance you can grab Slot or Not even a bit cheaper. We've made some friends in the genre, so if you play a lot of deck-builders, original roguelikes, or enjoy chance-game mechanics, you might be able to get another EXTRA 10% off via one of the bundles we've prepared. Here are the special bundle deal highlights:
Thank you to all Steam players buying the game and the DLC on the release day. We greatly appreciate your patronage and support, especially when you choose to review the game - because indie games live by their Steam reviews.
With over 100 players enjoying the game RIGHT NOW there's nothing left to do other than once again say: THANK YOU!!!
Slot or Not has been in development for a bit over 2 years. We've been waiting almost for all that time to say this: WE HAVE A RELEASE DATE! Mark your calendars - the game is coming out on May 25yh, 2026. Yes, that's only 3 weeks from now. Exciting!
But before that happens we want to take a moment to thank from the bottom of our heart the legion of Steam players who took part in our open playtest and gave us tons of valuable feedback. We've been able to track down lots of quirks and balancing issues thanks to you, which was essential in preparing the full release version of the game for launch. But there's more! We're a part of the Steam Deck Builders Fest, and there's a brand new demo available for a limited time to celebrate! Just use this widget above to return to the store page, and hit that juicy green "DOWNLOAD the Slot or Not Demo" button you'll find right under the screenshots. Please do remember to hit that "Wishlist" button, too, while you're there.
Care to share the thoughts about your experience with us? Please join the MaKo Team Discord (link below). Are you a contact creator, looking to grab an advance review copy of the full game? Head to KeyMailer to request access. You'll be able stream or share videos of the game as soon as this Wednesday!
We're proud to have joined the festivities at the 4th annual #TurnBasedThursday Steam event. This year, the line-up is full of heavy-hitters including such top tier tiles as Mewgenics and Slay the Spire 2. We hope in all this commotion you'll still get to discover Slot or Not! The fact you're reading these words says a lot - you're probably on the right track already, haha! So, since you're here (and presumably you like games like Slay the Spire), this is a great opportunity to wishlist Slot or Not using this here handy widget: But you don't have to wait until May to play it! You can get your first taste right away, by trying our our demo. Or... if you'd like to have a go at a larger, meatier, richer chunk of the game, why not sign up to our upcoming PLAYTEST? Just hit the "Request access" button located right under the "Download demo" button on the Steam page. You will join the playtest queue and we'll grant you access as soon as the beta starts (Monday, March 16th). You'll be getting two full chapters of the game (out of five), which should provide you with good 2 hours of playtime at least! With a game like Slot or Not there's a lot moving parts to fine-tune and balance. There's already a ton of deck items along with run-modifying trinkets, and all of the corresponding synergies at play here, so we need all the eyes we can get on the game. The playtest build will include a short (5-minute) survey which will help us to collect your precious feedback. Please sign up now!
