Full Steam announcements and update articles for this title.
Ability to log into the game using your Steam account.
Personal statistics for games played. You can see which question packs you have played, who you played with, and how many points you earned.
Statistics are stored on your device and are deleted when browser data is cleared. Once accounts are introduced, it will be possible to store statistics on the server.
"Undo" and "Redo" buttons in the editor.
A button to clear an answered question and return it to the game board.
Editor for the "Point on Image" answer type.
Fixed editor issues: missing media file; media file being displayed too quickly in the answer.
The main focus has been on bug fixing, so there aren’t that many new features. Hopefully, the connection is more stable now.
The question editor now supports adding multimedia content. You can now try creating full-featured packages in the online editor (just remember to save often — there’s still no “Undo” button).
In “Question for Everyone,” the host can now assign x0.5 and x2 during the preliminary answer review.
HTML files can now be used to create custom animations. With basic programming skills (or vibe-coding), you can program your own animation in an HTML file and include it in a question. The important part is reacting to the game pause event and stopping the animation, as well as reporting when it has finished.
Host comments (hidden from players) are now supported — they will become available after the editor update.
The room style has been slightly adjusted — unnecessary colors have been removed.
This version uses the server connection through the proxy more aggressively — we’ll see how the situation with connections changes.
For text questions, the answer options are now displayed at the bottom of the screen instead of on the right. Questions without text, containing only answer options, are now supported.
The style of the main menu, player cards, host messages, question libraries, and the answer verification window has been updated.
The answer type “Point on the image” is now supported (will become available after the editor update).
Support for game events in the chat, including adding and subtracting points for players (there used to be a frequent issue with restoring the correct score for a participant).
Ability to create new packages in SIQuester Online.
Ability to edit the package structure in SIQuester Online.
Added a setting that allows loading content from external sources (with a warning).
Hi!
Congratulations on the upcoming New Year!
This year has been a busy one: the game was released on Steam, the Workshop was added, and many small improvements were made.
We’ll keep going in the coming year as well. I hope you’re enjoying it! Let’s move forward!
A question about placing the dialog for the host to review answers. There are 4 possible options (they are shown as areas 1, 2, 3, and 4 on the screen). Currently, area #1 is used (on phones the information is always displayed in the center, but there are no other options there anyway — that’s not what this is about).
We’d like to discuss other placement options and hear your opinion.
1: The familiar option. But: you have to shift your gaze, it’s small, and it takes up space from the chat and other areas.
2: More logical (the information for the host is located under the host). It doesn’t interfere with other areas. But: you still have to shift your gaze, and there’s even less available space.
3: Very large and very noticeable for the host. But: it covers the question itself.
4: Also noticeable for the host and doesn’t cover the question. It most closely resembles the window from version 7 of the game. But: it covers the players.
Options 3 and 4 are not suitable for streamers, since they need to hide the answers on screen. However, only about 1% of all games are streamed, so a separate mode can simply be provided for them. What we care about is convenience for the majority of hosts.
We’d like to hear your thoughts.
Greetings!
SIGame version 8.9 released!
First version of SIQuester Online: now it's not "Question Viewer" but "Question Editor". An editing button has been added. Currently, only text editing is supported; package structure modification and media handling are not supported yet. A button for saving (downloading) the modified package has been added. IMPORTANT: this feature is experimental, so please use it with caution for now.
Multimedia file viewing for packages has been added to SIQuester Online.
Game statistics for packages have been added to SIQuester Online, loaded via a separate button. It shows how many games with the given package were started and completed; for each question, the percentage of answer attempts and the percentage of correct answers are displayed. IMPORTANT: this feature is experimental, so statistics may be recalculated at any time.
The game board style has been changed: unnecessary colors have been removed - now the board appearance is almost entirely determined by theme settings. More smoothness and animation have been added.
Along with the board, the style of the panel for accepting player answers for the host and during appeals has been changed.
An exclamation mark icon appears next to appealing players.
Numeric answers are now supported (will be available in the next version of SIQuester): participants can only enter digits in their answer; such answers are automatically verified by the server. For numeric answers, an acceptable deviation (±) of the player's answer from the correct answer can be set.
When announcing a theme, the theme's comment is also displayed.
A tab has been added to settings that allows changing the sounds built into the game.
When switching tabs in the browser, sound does not stop playing.
A signal sounds when a participant enters the room.
The sound control button has been moved to the upper right corner of the board and no longer obstructs content.
The host's name is displayed in room descriptions.
At the end of the game, in addition to the game rating button, a "Rate Package" button appears for packages from Steam, which opens the package page in the Workshop.
The process of rejoining a room after connection loss has been improved.
Work has continued on improving content preloading at the start of a round. Please share how it works now.
Client performance has been improved.
Logic screen restyled.
In recent days, you have left many positive reviews about the game. I don’t know what exactly caused this, but in any case, thank you very much!
It inspires me to keep developing the game further.
Ability to connect to the server via a proxy (in case of access issues).
New game types – quiz and turn-based game. In a quiz, questions are asked consecutively and by default played as questions for everyone. In a turn-based game, questions are by default played individually, and the turn passes after each question.
External media is now blocked and downloaded only upon user request.
The topic list is now displayed as a grid, making better use of free space and showing larger text.
Ability to move participants between slots via the slot’s context menu. The separate “Tables” tab has been removed.
Redesigned control buttons for game slots.
New interface for authors, sources, and comments of a package or round.
Question counter in a round – increases with each question. Makes it easier to find a specific question when a game recording is available.
The answer verification window for players during an appeal is now displayed in the center of the screen, not on the side like for the host.
Default game button is Space instead of Ctrl.
“Question for yourself without risk” has been renamed to “Question for yourself.”
You can enable or disable “no-risk” mode separately for “Question for yourself,” “Question with button,” and “Question for all.” The previous option “Deduct points for a wrong answer” has been removed. The no-risk mode is marked with a shield symbol in the top left corner of the scoreboard.
For “Question for yourself,” you can set a score factor (from 1 to 10). The question’s value will be multiplied by this factor. By default, the factor is 2, as before.
The button for changing the player type (to human or bot) has been moved from the “Tables” tab to the context menu of each table.
A “How to play” mode has been added to the main menu. It helps newcomers understand how to play; what the game button is; and what types of questions and answers exist. If you have ideas to expand this mode—feel free to share them.
A new interface for question sources, comments, and authors: comments are displayed on the main screen; authors and sources appear in the chat. Comments in the host’s messages often went unnoticed—this should now be improved. Authors and sources of a question must be displayed to comply with copyright. The old setting that allowed hiding sources has been removed.
Support for the Serbian language.
At the beginning of each round, the host sees the progress of media preloading for each player (in the bottom left corner of each player’s card). The host can estimate when all participants have downloaded the media and won’t have to wait for it to load during questions (for this feature to work, players must also have the new version).
The final game statistics view has been reworked: it is now displayed on the main screen instead of in the chat sidebar, where it was often overlooked.
Added the ability to download packs from “Trends.” You can immediately start playing top packs (if the server has a link to them).
Switched from daily to weekly “Trends” and now showing 9 top packs instead of 5.
Added the ability to add or subtract values when editing a player’s score. Often there is a need to add or subtract a given amount from a player’s score. Previously, the host had to calculate this mentally, which took time. The new controls make this task more convenient.
Added a donation button inside the room.
