Meet new animal friends with their own gameplay twists, including energetic goats, loving llamas, and magical unicorns.
Take on fresh challenges designed for players who already know Classic Mode well.
Unlock new Steam achievements tied to this mode.
Star Mode unlocks after the credits on any map you’ve already completed in Classic Mode.
6 new dog breeds inspired by your Discord requests: Rough Collie, Sheltie, Australian Shepherd, Samoyed, Borzoi, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
A new cat breed in the Supporter Pack DLC, automatically added if you already own it. Thanks <3
A new toggle run option so you can switch running on and off instead of holding the key or trigger.
Some challenges were not achievable at 150% difficulty.
Chicks mini-game lines sometimes flew off for no reason.
Chicks mini-game random spawn points were not varied enough.
Bark effect was not applied after a rewind in transhumance maps.
Various weird behaviors appeared when using the “Assign first gamepad to second player” option.
Online players (clients) were not seeing the end of transhumance maps when the host had a wider screen.
The loading screen didn’t display when clicking Play in the save management screen.
Challenges UI and info layer sometimes got stuck in transhumance maps.
Some maps had collision issues, visual imperfections, or empty areas on 21/9 screens.
Many settings are now available from the in-game hub in addition to the main menu screen.
In the rewards screen, challenges that were already completed show an animation if you also completed them this time.
On gamepads, you can now control your dog’s speed finely with the analog stick.

Our Winter Update is live now, bringing festive vibes and fresh content to Sheepherds! — just in time for the season.
In this update, you’ll find:
Two new winter levels: The Pond and Eerie journey
Two new winter costumes: Little Elf and Snow Battle
Three new black fur options (Labrador, German Shepherd, Poodle)
In an online game, display Steam usernames for each player when starting a level and in the lobby
Ability to (partially) rotate the dogs in the lobby🐶
Players in the lobby could end up in the same spot by mashing buttons
“Ready” button was sometimes not working when disconnecting gamepads
Wool fest photospot was hidden but active since the start
Various UI issues
Various collision issues (Frozen Canyon, Autumn Lake, Firefly Glade)
Various localization issues
The sheep entering the hub’s training shed now display like the other minigames
In the hub, you now respawn a bit closer in the direction of the next unlocked level
In the hub and transhumance maps, you can now use the respawn button only if you’re off screen (sorry, no more spamming!)

We’re a tiny team, so every story, funny screenshot, or picture of your dog goes straight to our heart and makes all the hard work worth it!
It’s a really special feeling for us to see our humble game in your hands and read about how it connected with you, your friends, your significant others, and your families.
In the spirit of the holiday and to show our gratitude to everyone that is supporting us at the start of this journey, we decide to keep offering the "Supporter Pack" DLC for one more week than anticipated.
You now have until December 1st to get 4 cute outfits and an even cuter piglet for free when you get the base game on Steam☺️
In addition to reading all your feedback, we have been hard at work improving the game’s quality and fixing bugs, so in today’s update you’ll find:
Some players on different continents not being able to find their friend’s lobbies.
Connected controllers adding new players automatically in couch mode (you now have to press any button to join), especially problematic for handheld devices used in docked mode.
Collision issues in Terraces / Wool Run / Reach the beach / Rising tide / The Creek,
Falling through the map when using the respawn button in \,
Teleporters sometimes sending dogs out of the map,
Missing punctuation in Chinese,
“Max” challenges failing if you got the exact number of sheep,
Some challenges no feasible at 150% difficulty,
Online players sometimes not regaining control after closing the customization screen,
Various localization errors,
15 other small bugs.
Added controller input to remove unwanted player(s) in couch mode (hold "Back" / "View" / equivalent),
Clearer challenge titles,
GPU performance in the hub when all levels are unlocked,
More environment at the edges of the maps for 21/9 screens,
Environment art for Hub / Crystal Corrie / Blooming fields / Terraces,
Costumes fit for the German Shepherd,
More tutorials.
Thanks for sticking with us while those bugs were getting fixed, we still have some more improvements on our plate…and even a little bit of new content that should be coming in a few weeks if all goes well! We’ll post more info soon.

Q3: Will demo progress carry over to the full game? A3: Unfortunately, no. The demo and full version are separate builds.

A4: Not natively. However, you may be able to run the game using third-party tools such as Whisky or CrossOver.
Q5: Can I play with keyboard and mouse? A5: Yes! Keyboard and mouse controls are supported, and key prompts are shown in-game.
Q6: Is the game playable on Steam Deck? A6: Yes, it works well on Steam Deck and has been officially verified by Steam.
Q7: Does it support Xbox and PS controllers? A7:
Xbox: Fully supported, with in-game button prompts.
PlayStation and other: Supported, but it may require setup via Steam input. Please go to Steam Settings - Controller, and:
Enable Steam Input for Xbox controllers
Enable PlayStation controller support
Enable Steam Input for Switch Pro controllers
Enable Steam Input for generic controllers
Q8: Is Steam Cloud supported? A8: Yes, your progress will be safely saved even if you switch between devices.
Q9: How does multiplayer work? A9:
🛋️Local / Couch Multiplayer:
Requires at least one controller. Up to four players can play locally, and if needed, one player can play with mouse + keyboard while the others play with controllers, by checking "Assign first gamepad to second player" in the settings.
🎮Online Multiplayer:
Each player will need to own a copy of the game to play together online.
After launching the game, select "Host Online Game" to create a room.
A 6-digit room code will be generated. Share it with your friend(s)!
They can then join by selecting "Join Online Game" and entering the code.
💡Tip: You can also try Steam Remote Play, which allows one player to host and others to join without owning the game. However, please note that this method may be less smooth than using the built-in online mode.
Q10: Is Steam Family Sharing supported? A10: Yes!
Q11: Will you support a Friend Pass?
A11: Not at the moment. As a small indie team, we can't currently offer a friend pass, but we might consider it in the future if this kind of opportunity arises.
Q12: Are Steam Achievements available at launch? A12: Yes!
Q13: Will there be modding or Steam Workshop support? A13: Not for now, but we're open to exploring this in the future :)
Q14: Can I customize my dog's name?
A14: Not at the moment. However, we might explore more ways to add personality and customization to the dogs in the future!🐶
Q15: Is there a colorblind mode? A15: Yes ! You can check "Colorblind assistance" in the settings to display easy-to-read icons wherever colors are on screen.
Q16: Can I adjust my controller's vibration in game?
A16: You can toggle it in the Settings, but you can't adjust its intensity for now.
Q17: What if I don't have anyone to play with?
A17:
We have a solo mode, and you can freely adjust the difficulty in the settings to suit your playstyle;
Or you can join our Discord and check out #find-players channel to team up with others!

Thanks for checking out our demo. We hope you enjoy our take on a relaxing co-op party game, and if you have any feedback about the demo, we would love to hear it!
Below is our FAQ for almost everything you need to know. We’ll keep updating it as development progresses.
Q1: How many players?
A1: The game supports 1–4 players, with 2–4 being the core intended experience.
Q2: Can I play on Mac?
A2: Not natively. But as a workaround, you can use third-party apps such as Whisky to have it run.
Q3: Is couch co-op supported?
A3: Yes, up to four players can play on the same computer!
Q4: Does it include online multiplayer?
A4: Yes. The demo now supports both local couch co‑op and built-in online multiplayer. Steam's Remote Play Together also works as an alternative.
Q5: How do I invite more players for local co-op?
A5: Simply connect additional controllers—they will be detected automatically, and your friends will be able to jump in.
Q6: Can one player use a controller, and another use a keyboard?
A6: Not yet. That’s something we’d love to support, but unfortunately, it’s quite complex to implement with our engine. For now, we can’t promise it’ll happen, sorry!
Q7: Do DualShock controllers work?
A7: Yes, via Steam Input without extra software. We now support both Xbox and PlayStation controller in the demo!
Q8: Can I play on Steam Deck?
A8: Yes, it works on Steam Deck. If you run into any bugs, please don't hesitate to let us know!
Q9: Is solo play available?
A9: Yes, and you can adjust the difficulty level in the Settings. Although we'd say the game is optimized for 2–4 players :)
Q10: What languages does the demo support?
A10: For the demo, the game now supports 10 languages in total: English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese.
Q11: Can demo save files carry over to the full game?
A11: No. Demo saves unfortunately won’t transfer.
Q12: What’s new since the last demo?
A12: Here are the release notes of the current demo:

Q13: Is the full release PC-only?
A13: Yes, for now. Porting to consoles isn’t confirmed, but it's something we’d like to do in the future!
Q14: When will the full game launch?
A14: We’re targeting a 2025 release, and we’ll be sure to let you know when you can play the full game!
Q15: How much will the game cost?
A15: The price hasn’t been finalized yet, but we'll announce it closer to launch.
Q16: This game seems to rely heavily on colors. Will I be able to play normally as a color-blind person?
A16: Thanks to the feedback from our playtesters, we’re aware of this concern and are planning to implement a color-blind mode. It's already on our roadmap!
Q17: How many maps will the game include at launch?
A17: We’re currently creating more maps, but the final number hasn’t been set yet. We’ll share updates as soon as we have more information.
Q18: Can I stream or share gameplay videos?
A18: Yes, please do! Shepherding is more fun together, and we may even promote your content on our social media.
Q19: How can I send feedback or report bugs?
A19: Post in the Steam Community, or hop into our Discord. Screenshots or video clips can help us immensely!

It's been a while. We’ve been busy behind the scenes adding new content to the demo — and it’s finally here!
Gearing up for Steam Next Fest, Sheepherds! is now with a brand new hub area, some exciting features and even more adorable puppy breeds to discover.
Jump into the demo now, solo or with friends, and get ready for the cozy fun!🎉
When you guys asked for more puppies, we heard you! The demo now includes 19 unlockable breeds, starting with 5 available from the start — including the lovable Husky and Teckel.
Explore a completely new 3D hub! First thing first, check your mailbox and discover a heartfelt letter from Grandma.
Don't forget to try out our new mini soccer game in the hub — whether you're looking to score goals or just cause trouble, it's the perfect warm-up between levels!

We hope you're enjoying the playtest so far! We're just adding some new content:
A new game mode: Transhumance This is a journey-based mode where you lead your flock across a longer path. Try to reach the goal without losing any sheep along the way!
Two brand new maps for the Transhumance game mode:

A new mechanic: Rewind This is a time-reversal tool to help you regroup the flock and retry if things go wrong.
To give everyone more time to explore the new game mode and new maps, we’ve decided to extend the playtest until August 24 (Pacific Time)!
One more week of barking, running, and fluffy chaos...🐶

The Sheepherds! Playtest is in full swing, and we’ve had over 3,000 players sign up for now. We’re beyond grateful for your incredible enthusiasm! 🎉
To better manage the test and ensure a smoother experience, we’ve changed the signup type from Open to Limited (manual approval).
From now on, we’ll monitor the number of active testers and manually approve new applications to keep the Playtest within our target size, while still welcoming more of you to join the flock!
We truly appreciate all your support — and yes, we’ve seen your warm messages and valuable feedback in Discord! ❤️
Don’t forget we’re also running a Discord community sharing event, where you can post your favorite Playtest moments for a chance to win a full game key after launch.
