Ahoy Seaorama Captains! ⚓️ We’re excited to announce that Update 2.2.6 for Seaorama: World of Shipping is now live! This update includes essential fixes and enhancements to improve your gameplay experience. Here's what's new: Adjustable Morale: Crew members lose morale when they spend too many days on the ship. Eventually, they will need to go on a hiatus (reach 25%) to recuperate and be available again (after 75%). As for now, this only applies to new sessions of Hard Mode and the new season of Ranked Mode. Auto Rehire: You can set the Auto Rehire for crew members who are not only onboard, but off board, on hiatus, or in training. HR Overview filtering: Added filters in the HR window to better short the crew members you are looking for. Incremental Ship Names: A QoL update, so when purchasing a new ship of a type you already have, its name will be the type of ship plus an incremental number to know which one is newer without having to open the Operations window. Used Ships: When a used ship becomes available for sale (buyout), it will appear on the list with the available auctioned ones, at the bottom right of the screen. No need to go to the Purchase menu to look for them. Automatic Ship Upgrades: An option has been added to the Operations, QoL tab to set the Ship Upgrades to automatic. Now, when an upgrade needs to be renewed, the ship will travel to the nearest shipyard at the next possible time to reinstall it. Also, the Operations Managers will send the ships to the shipyard to do the same if needed. Ship type controls: Added a button to choose a color for each type of ship category separately and for each ship in the category. Also, a button to turn all trip lines on/off for this category. Bug fixes regarding the Operations Manager behavior in the late stages when the contracts are larger and when the manager retires. 🆕 New Features

• New log entry when a ship travels to a port for repairs.
• New Security insurance calculations. Now the cost is only for the trip leading to the port affected by piracy.
• New R&D window. Unlock upgrades through research to install on your ships and meet the requirements of the crew members. (R&D is available only when you start a new game session. Older saves will use the old format.)
• A new way of calculating the value of a share of a port, making it more affordable to invest.
• Added new column with Net Profit visible at Finance & Accounts.

🔧 Fixes and Improvements

• Improved Details at the Crew Members profile window. Know from before what upgrades to the ship each member will demand at each level and plan ahead with the new R&D department.
• Improved Details considering the percentage of event avoidance a crew member offers at the Crew Members profile window.
• Improved Port Investments window. See which ports sell shares, and know their ranking before investing. You can now also sell your shares from one port if you need money to invest elsewhere. AI companies can also buy shares, so be vigilant when new shares become available.
• Fix incomes/outcomes bugs.
• Fix Charter contract bug.
• Workshop packages hotfixes.
• Better breakdown for percentage and full amount of fuel at the Fuel window in Operations.
• Changes to Contract bonuses for the Game modes. Easy Mode now gets +60%, Medium Mode gets +30%, and Hard Mode (plus Ranked Mode) gets no bonuses from the contracts.

🏆 Ranked Mode Enhancements

• Season History: A new tab in the Leaderboard window displays your season history and past placements.
• Ranked Achievements: We’ve added 8 new achievements exclusive to Ranked mode.
• DISCLAIMER: The Ranked leaderboard is monitored for cheaters. Any cheating detected will result in a permanent ban from Ranked gameplay. You will still be able to play non-Ranked sessions.

⚙️ Gameplay Improvements

• Available Contracts Window: Hover over the Duration number to see a breakdown of trip time and loading/unloading time. Added reminders in the Ship Information section to show the total loading/unloading time for all acquired contracts. Duration recalculations ensure updated trip times.
• Readjusted Interest Rates: Country economy now affects interest rates. Loan interest rates will vary based on the loan amount, installments, and the country’s economy.
• Ship Events: When a ship event requires player action, you will now see details of the current contract next to the available choices for informed decision-making.
• Request CVs: Added a new option to request CVs every 15 days (requires the appropriate advisor).

🔧 Quality of Life (QoL) Updates

• Country of Base: The selected base country now displays above the Menu bar.
• Mass Dismiss Crew Members: A button allows you to dismiss all crew members at once when selling or scrapping a ship.
• New Icons: Fresh icons added for ships on the map for easier identification.
• Ship ECO Reminder: ECO calculation reminder text added in the Speed section of the Operations Overview.
• AI Tweak: Opponent AI has been made slightly more aggressive when purchasing ships.

• Crew Member Filters: Find the best possible crew member for your ship with our new filter options. You can now filter crew by Level, Salary, Nationality, and Age to better match your fleet’s needs.
• Ship Behavior in Storms: Passing through extreme weather can cause damage to your ship. You now have the option to select the ship’s speed when passing through a storm. Higher speed will save you time, but lower speed minimizes damage.
• Crew Member Training: Send crew members for training while they are not onboard a ship. Training lasts for 90 days and grants the crew member 45 experience points, helping them level up.
• Hide/Show World Notifications: You can now choose which world notifications to display on your screen, allowing for a more focused experience.

• Bank’s Interest Rate: The Bank’s interest rate is now displayed next to the installment cost, making financial planning easier.
• Readjusted Ship Event Randomness: We’ve adjusted the randomness of ship events to prevent the same event from occurring simultaneously at multiple ports.

• Country Benefits and Limitations: You can now select the base country for your company, impacting taxes, bank loan limits, and costs. Each country has a rank that influences these values, and ranks can shift based on in-game events affecting the country. This means your company’s conditions could improve or worsen based on global changes!
• Change Base Country: A new window allows you to change your company’s base country for a fee, which is calculated based on your company’s overall value.
• Region-Specific Manager Contracts: Managers can now have contracts limited to specific regions, making global analytics more impactful and region-focused.

🔧 Fixes & Optimizations

• Managers: Managers will now ensure ships are maintained at an overall condition of 90% or higher, up from the previous 50%, ensuring that your fleet remains in top shape.
• Ship Events: Adjustments have been made to balance the occurrence of ship events (looking at you, Windlasses!) even on fully upgraded ships with experienced crews.
• Crew Resigning: The resignation countdown will now only start when a ship is idle and will reset with every trip. Ships with low-morale crew members will be unable to take new contracts, but they can still use the "Add to Queue" option to move to a nearby shipyard for repairs or upgrades.

🌟 General Improvements

• Sell / Bid UI: We've added the ability to add/subtract 10M in the UI for faster input when adjusting amounts.
• Filters: A new "Hide Filtered Ships" option has been added to the main screen, allowing you to hide selected ships (such as Managed ships) from the map.
• Facilities: Just like the Ship Upgrades tab, there is now a single button to enable all facilities at once, streamlining the upgrade process.
• Contracts Flat Fee: By popular demand, we’ve added a filtering option for the Flat Fee. You can now view the Flat Fee of a contract as Total Fee, Per Day, or Per Mile, depending on your preference.
• New Ship Notification: When a new ship is ready to sail, a notification will now appear at the center of your screen, replacing the smaller notification that previously appeared on the right side for a more prominent alert.
