We feel like we start all of these posts with a thank you, but one is absolutely justified on this one. Scritchy Scratchy has sold over 750k units on PC and mobile, which far exceeded our wildest expectations - we feel like we hit the super jackpot of launches. We’re very grateful for all your support.
We will be releasing a small and a large update for Scritchy Scratchy before throwing ourselves into the next game project. The small one is coming next month and will contain:
A lot of new cosmetics
Fan localization (Italian, Turkish, and Czech)
Some more settings
The larger one is scheduled for September, and will have:
Challenges
Cool challenge rewards
New ‘good’ ending
Special reward for getting all achievements
Q: Why do you need 5 months to make the Challenge update?
A: Multiple reasons:
We are a small team of two developers
We want it to be really good
We don’t want to work during a planned parental leave or during a summer holiday
Q: Why are you only releasing two updates before moving on?
A: Scritchy Scratchy was never meant to be a “live service” game. We have a ton of ideas for new games that we’d rather explore. If you want to see what we get up to next, join our Discord.
Q: Will Scritchy Scratchy launch on \
A: Maybe.
Q: How do I prestige on mobile?
A: Hold the button.
What started as a humble pile of scratch cards has grown into something much bigger, and we’re incredibly excited to welcome you to the full experience. You can get a small peak at what's in store from the launch trailer above. Happy scratching!
To celebrate the launch, Scritchy Scratchy is 20% off for two weeks.
Want to go the extra mile and support the game? We’ve added a Supporter Pack featuring shiny golden skins for the Trash Can, the Phone, the Scratch Bot, and the Fan.
These are purely cosmetic and do not affect gameplay or balance. They’re simply a way to show your support and add some extra sparkle to your setup.
You can grab the game + Supporter Pack in a bundle for a 10% discount (on top of the 20% launch discount - what a deal!)
We’re also launching with a couple of special bundles:
Scritchy Scratchy + Shelldiver
Scritchy Scratchy + Cloverpit
If you’ve been eyeing these games, this is a great way to expand your library.
Thank you so much to everyone who played the demo, gave feedback, and supported us along the way. This launch wouldn’t be possible without you.
Now go on… those scratch cards aren’t going to scratch themselves 🪙
First and foremost, a massive thank you to every single person who played the demo during the recent Next Fest. Your participation truly made the event a huge success for us. Thanks to your phenomenal support and enthusiasm, we have officially surpassed 70,000 wishlists!
But we have some more exciting news we've been itching to share!
Mark your calendars, set your alarms, and prepare your favorite scratching coin, because Scritchy Scratchy will officially launch on March 18th!
The game is almost ready! We're doing our final polish and bug-squashing to make sure everything is perfect for launch. Many of you have been asking about the price of Scritchy Scratchy. You will be able to get the full game on Steam for just $6.99/€5.99.

First of all, thank you for your patience. We’ve been heads-down tuning and adding new content, and today we are ready to reveal some of what’s been simmering.
The demo just got its biggest update yet. Here’s what’s new:
New Progression System Progression is now based on money earned instead of tickets leveling up
Super Jackpots After hitting a jackpot, there’s now a small chance to trigger a Super Jackpot for even more money and JP
Challenges Think the game is too easy? Unlock challenges from the Prestige Panel and see if you can beat them. There’ll be 2 challenges in the demo and more coming in the full game.
Achievements & Badge Collection Complete achievements to earn tokens, then claim them in the badge collection.
Night Market Spend your tokens at the Night Market to customize your gadgets.
Scratch Strength Upgrade Reworked You now use a coin to scratch tickets. Buy stronger coins and upgrade their size to scratch more efficiently.
Wrist Protection Modes This game contains a lot of scratching, so we’ve added multiple wrist protection modes, selectable at the start of the game or anytime from the settings menu.
Main menu added
Credits can be viewed from the main menu
Onboarding improvements
We’ve changed which prestige upgrades are available and added a few new ones
Your first prestige now grants a free permanent upgrade to speed up future runs
Fan dialogue now shows up correctly when you unlock it
Fixed crashes at game start or when first scratching the plate
Fixed an issue where the trash can sometimes wouldn’t appear after purchase
Scritchy Scratchy is now available in:
Simplified Chinese
German
Russian
Brazilian Portuguese
Japanese
French
Korean
Spanish
Polish
We’re super excited to announce that Scritchy Scratchy will be part of Steam Next Fest this February! That means more players scratching tickets, and more feedback to help us make the game even better before launch.
And finally… one more big announcement:
Scritchy Scratchy is launching on mobile at the same time as the Steam release!
You can already pre-register here:
Android: Pre-register on Google Play
Mobile and PC versions will be identical and priced similarly.
As always, thank you for playing, testing, and supporting Scritchy Scratchy. Your feedback genuinely shapes the game, and we’re excited for what’s coming next.
It’s been another great month for Scritchy Scratchy! We’ve reached over 30.000 wishlists thanks in large part to you guys spreading the word, and a bunch of amazing content creators covering the demo.
We’ve also partnered up with Funday Games, the developers of Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, who will help us publish the game. They’ve already done some great work enhancing the store page and will continue to support the game as we work towards getting it ready for Next Fest and launch next year.
We’ll soon start testing a new version of the Scritchy Scratchy demo - if you want to join the playtest of this, stay tuned for a sign-up link coming next week on our Discord server.
Last but not least, check out our new trailer:
Wow what an awesome month it's been after releasing the Scritchy Scratchy Demo!
We've reached more than 20.000 wishlists and we're still going!
We've also had more than 100.000 browser plays on itch.io!
The game is still in its early stages and we're working hard on the next big update and we'll keep the small updates coming along the way.
You can now export and import your save data to and from your clipboard. This change makes it possible to continue playing on different platforms and also creating a backup whenever you'd like!
Other things we have added/fixed:
Some changes to the bankrupt phone call
You can call the "mysterious phone person” to get a loan if you are in debt
If you already have a loan contract on the table you can’t get another one FOR REAL THIS TIME!
Speedrun timer doesn't resets by closing and re-opening game
Bug report button
We hope you like the small changes!
