We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your support! At the time of writing we've surpassed 4.5 Million sold units which is completely mindboggling to us. It's been crazy fun to watch everyone vibe with the same things we vibe with. We never planned to make this game and we just did it for the fun of it. Since we didn't think the game would be this big we never planned to do any bigger updates either, but here we are, an unplanned content update for an unplanned game.
We hope you enjoy it!
We'll be on Christmas break for a couple of weeks but the following updates will probably be more focused on stability and bug fixing. When it comes to any new major content updates - let's just say we have no plans.
// Nuggets Team
Thanks for the patience for this patch, it was a bit delayed due to work on new content. We have tried to balance fixing the worst issues that's live with creating new content.
The highlight of todays patch is the ability to ban those trolls. We will add more anti troll measures later on.
Bugs:
Fixed infinite spinner when trying to join a friends game that have a different game version, and added error message about it
Fixed crash on shutdown/exit game due to how we unregistered VOIP talkers
Fixed typo in messages about relay
Features:
Added ban button to ban those trolls.
The ban is in effect until you shut down the game.
Perma ban comes in a later version
Todays patch is mostly debug logs for more information so that we can try to narrow down why some of you can't play multiplayer, but some gameplay fixes too.
Bugs:
- Fix spelling errors in vehicle HUD - Fix bug where you couldn't drag a smoke on gamepad - Remove vehicle debug window from public builds
- Fix bug where item/player held by disconnecting player was stuck in the air.
- Potential bug fix for RV going haywire for one person when someone sits down in a seat
Tweaks: - Added debug logs to help us figure out why some people are getting infinite spinners during joining game

- Updated error message on why you can’t create game to better help people understand them
Features: - Added information in main menu about your connection status to the steam relay network
Patch: 1.0.14520 (06/11/2025)
The highlight of todays patch is keybindings for keyboard and mouse (gamepad is yet to come). We also fixed some issues with saves and focused abit on error messages and feedback.
Bugs:
- Fixed bug where VOIP was stuck in toggle when switching to Push To Talk until the button was pressed
- Fixed bug where a save file could be corrupted and stuck in infinite restarts by triggering a save when RV was destroyed
- Fixed bug where you could end up with a save file where all players online in the session are dead
- Fixed bug where welder can be stuck in hand and still welding when it hit max limit
Balancing:
- Nerfed bear spawning a bit. But bears are still bears so watch out
Tweaks: - Updated vehicle input hints to match the style and placement used throughout the rest of the game. - Added popup with errors when failing to create a game
- Added so that in coming versions, the game will tell you if it's outdated if your steam clients knows about another patch
- Updated how the .pak-file is generated, so in coming patches, the patches will be smaller, this one will be bigger though

- Fixed some gamepad button conflicts for winch controller
Features: - Add rebindable keys for keyboard and mouse
A softlock bug was introduced with the first patch today and we wanted to resolve that before the weekend. Bugs:
Fix softlock bug that occurred when the game was saved with the welder in hand, preventing the player from picking up any items.
Bugs:
Fix bug where welder was still active in hands when it’s force dropped
The highlight of todays patch is two crash fixes, but there is some general bug-fixes in there too
Bugs:

Today we have a smaller patch trying to solve some of the more glaring gameplay issues with the RV and a few small fixes with options.
Bugs:
- Fix invert look does not work when driving - Fix RV disassembles into pieces when driver disconnects
- Potential fix for RV going crazy and flying away or bugging out physics wise

- Add missing water volume

It's amazing to see everyone playing the game, and we are trying to sort through the issues as fast as we can. Here comes a patch for the weekend. For those that has suffered poor performance, try turning AA off, on a machine that we tested it on, we got FPS increase from 10fps to 45fps.
We have been investigating the crashes, and even if we haven't solved them yet, we have gotten some progress. We haven't forgotten those of you that are crashing.
Bugs:
- Fix interactable map offset issues
- Remove local delay when looking closer at or turning the interactable map. Most noticeable under poor network conditions. - Fix spelling error in vehicle UI
- Fix spelling error in loading screen
- Bears should not spawn inside vehicle - Ensure the map holder respawns a map on load if none is present, preventing missing map state after loading a game.
- Fixed so that VOIP isn’t deactivated when you apply settings
- Fixed the VOIP mode list that was really bugged out
Balancing:
- Increased radius of triggering first checkpoint since many people missed it and had to restart all from the start if dying. - Added revive gravestones at some parts in the end game - A few more oil placements in the swamp
Tweaks: - Reset winch is done with interact key instead of a separate key.
- Hand emotes should work on gamepad now. (Hold RB to use and trigger buttons to select hand to move)
- Added popups in the main menu when you get network errors, to better try to understand what’s going wrong. It’s very verbose right now, but we will tweak it over time to be less verbose
Features: - Added invert look option (Invert Y)
- Added AA method to options, and defaulted it to TSR, except on devices with integrated GPU’s, then it’s defaulted to Off
- Disabled Lumen by default on AMD graphics cards, as I have seen reports that some amd drivers has a bug can cause crashes with AMD cards
First of all, we want to thank everyone for the enormous support. Our 8 week game jam game exceeded all expectations. We are aware of connection issues and the crashes (and a few bugs). We are working as fast as we can to try to resolve these, please be patient with us.
This patch is small, and fixed a few issues:

Killbox doesn’t give frame damage to players anymore (Eating a cooked burger will heal this damage if you still have it in your save but it should be removed),
Fixed main menu music looping,
Filled out some holes in edges around the lake just before the town,
Potential fix for players becoming invisible,
Cleaned up among our textures to ensure they wasn't referencing nanite to see if that solves some crashes
Balancing:
Added some more motor oil cans and winch controllers to the world,
Tweaks:
Added display prompts when looking at items or attachment points you can’t interact with at the moment,
Added a little sign to motor hatch to help players find where it is,
Added water damage smoke vfx to engine when taking water damage
RV There Yet? Oh yes we are! We’ve launched the game!
We’re happy to invite all chain smoking RV enthusiasts to Mabutts Valley!
Some notes about the launch version:
RV There Yet? started out as a game jam this summer and turned into a full game in a short time. We debated doing an Early Access launch but ended up not to because we think the game is already really fun and could be considered done - short of a couple small things we’re definitely adding in the coming weeks.
However, we didn’t expect there to be this much hype around the game. Now that we’re launching with 300k+ wishlists for just being public for a little more than a week, it’s very clear that others are very excited too.
With that being said there are some things clearly missing that we want to add the following weeks like:
Keybindings
Full Controller Support
Steam Deck Verified
In-game localization
Auto-activation VOIP Mode
Achievements
Even with this stuff missing we thought it’s better to just get it out for you to play. We hope you enjoy the game as much as we do!
And potentially, maybe, who knows?... more content might be added as well.... stay tuned!
RV There Yet? is a co-op game where you drive your RV home with your friends. However, you're forced to take an alternate route through Mabutts Valley... Can you make it home?
Releasing October 21st on Steam!
