If you're looking for a game that's deep, difficult, and delightful - look no further. Introducing... Roll the Bones, our action-roguelike where magic dice decide your fate in endlessly re-playable dungeons full of mighty monsters. Build your loudout, test wild synergies, and dominate the battlefield. It's harder than it sounds, but with high challenge comes real satisfaction.
We're taking the Early Access route for Roll the Bones, because this is a complex game, filled to the brim with diverse content, and we know we need YOUR help to take it from the "whoah, that's kinda fun" level to "gosh, I can't stop playing" level. We'll dedicate nine to twelve months (or so we think now) to expanding and polishing what already is a very solid release. Please join our Discord, or leave your feedback right here, on Steam in the dedicated thread in the Roll the Bones forums.
The game is available right now with a special 20% release discount. But that's not all! We've partnered with a whole lot of other devs and publishers of games that are in one way or another similar to Roll the Bones to bring you 20 fantastic bundle deals, that can bring that price even lower. You can find the FULL LIST OF BUNDLES under the link, but here are some highlights: That's it from us today. Please enjoy the game and make sure to give us your thoughts.
Go refresh your Steam library. Seriously, right now. The Roll The Bones playtest is live, and we're letting applicants in as I type this. You can still join if you haven't applied before, and your access will be granted instantaneously.
We’re at that weird dev tunnel-vision stage and desperately need fresh eyeballs. When you boot up, you'll see a downright radioactive BIG GREEN feedback button squatting on the main menu.
First - play. The playtest version of the game is more robust than the previously available demo version. Give it some time. Fiddle around. Then get back to the green button. Please click it. Pour your thoughts into that mercifully short form—tell us what feels deliciously overpowered, and what's just flat-out busted.
Two quick logistical things before you start slinging spell-dice:
The playtest time-limited. We honestly have no clue when we'll pull the plug yet. Don't panic, though; we’ll holler with a clear heads-up a few days before it actually ends.
Bring backup. You can invite up to 3 friends! It would mean the world to us if you used those invites to get more chaotic data flowing our way.
Figure out a wildly irresponsible loadout, and go roll some bones.
Yours,
PS. If you haven't yet - please click the "Wishlist now" button! This will be a great help for us to get Steam to love us more. Here' you can use this here handy widget to do so:

Hey!
I've decided to post some (hopefully regular) updates regarding the development process of Roll The Bones. (Features presented in these updates won't be available in current demo version)
So what am I currently working on?
Angel enemies
Angelic Temple map design
Wall spells
As for the first two - Angelic Temple is gonna be one of the main dungeon gates of the game, a more difficult one at that (S-Rank). Therefore it needs some high-difficulty enemies. I'm hoping to make Angels pretty tough to deal with with their precise & high power light beams.
As for the "Wall" spells... well, they're exactly what you think they are. Walls. That you cast. Currently I've got Fire, Ice and Thorn walls (each version has 5 levels). Let me know if you've got any ideas for more wall spells ^^

A minor demo update to fix some stuff. Version 1.0.0c changes the following:
Fix: challenge "Laser Run I" is now working - previously players could not start this challenge due to some missing content in demo
Tweak: reduced Infernal Skeleton Max HP from 100 to 75 - they can appear on first level and were a bit too difficult for new players
Content: added "Liquid Speed" Artifact to the content available in demo
Hey there, long time no see ^^
Today the official (and new) version of Roll The Bones demo is out! Try the game out before it's release in Q4 2025.
What's waiting for you?
F-Rank Training Gate to get you up to speed on spellcasting
Rat King's Lair - first full D-Rank gate featuring 6 floors and a boss battle
10 Challenge Gates differing in difficulty levels - from D-rank to A-rank
Handpicked selection of 21 unique Spell-Dice and 8 Artifacts
More content. Way more.
Full game will feature:
several, multi-floor dungeon gates, each with a unique boss and different selection of enemies
a ton of challenge gates requiring different skills to complete them
more Spell-Dice and Artifacts - demo is just a small selection of what's to come
different playable characters and character skins
Download the demo from Steam page, play a bit and join my Discord (https://discord.gg/rnuNPCnGDK) to leave some feedback! I'm always listening for suggestions :D
Also please drop a wishlist for the game on it's Steam page if you're interested in the full release - it helps a ton!
