It feels almost surreal to write those words. What began as a small game inspired by and dedicated to our beloved coonhound, Rockwell, has gradually grown into a cozy world filled with relaxing tiles, peaceful scenery, gentle humor, and—naturally—a very good dog who expects to be petted regularly.
In Rockwell’s Zen Tiles, you’ll solve handcrafted tile-matching boards while unlocking new locations, abilities, customization options, and pieces of Rockwell’s story. The game is designed to be peaceful and approachable: there are no timers forcing you to rush, and Rockwell is always nearby to offer encouragement, assistance, or a well-timed request for attention.
The Early Access release already includes a complete and polished foundation with plenty to play and discover—but Rockwell and his team aren’t finished yet.
During Early Access, we plan to add more puzzles, environments, customization options, progression features, quality-of-life improvements, and other surprises. We will also share a public development roadmap soon so you can see where the game is headed.
Your feedback will play an important part in shaping that journey. If you encounter a bug, have an idea, or simply want to tell us which part of the game you enjoy most, please join the conversation in the Steam Community Hub.
Rockwell’s Zen Tiles is a deeply personal project, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who has encouraged us, tested the game, shared feedback, or simply followed along while it is being built.
Thank you for helping Rockwell take this next big step.
Now, there are tiles to match—and a dog who has been waiting very patiently to be pet.

Hi RZT fans!
Rockwell has been busy digging up something shiny — and we think you're going to love it. Introducing the Golden Tiles system! This is available NOW as an update in the Demo! Here's how it works: as you play, mysterious Stone tiles will occasionally drop onto the board. These aren't just decorative — they're hiding something special. To break one open, you'll need to clear three lines adjacent to the stone. Each successful line break cracks it further, and when it finally breaks... boom — a Golden Tile appears!Once you've earned a Golden Tile, it flies over to your Golden Tiles Tray and gets saved for future in-game purchases. So, every stone you break is a small step toward unlocking bigger rewards later. What makes this cool? It's a simple risk/reward loop that changes how you look at the board. Stones get in your way, but they're also tiny treasure chests. Do you clear around them quickly, or plan your line breaks to crack them open at the perfect moment? Rockwell is definitely taking notes. We've also smoothed out the feel of the whole system — the stone spawn, the cracking animation, and the golden tile fly-out all have extra polish now. The game should feel snappier and more satisfying across the board. We can't wait for you to start collecting Golden Tiles! Thanks, Team Rock

Hi everybody — it’s Rockwell here.
I’ve got some cool news for you. My dev team has helped me create a brand-new Card System for Rockwell’s Zen Tiles. Now, while you’re relaxing and solving puzzles, you’ll be able to earn and use three special cards:
Undo – Oops! Take back your last move. Earn these by clearing multiple lines at once
Clear – Clear the board and open up new possibilities. You have unlimited uses, but you lose your progress on that level. Kinda a last ditch effort for when things get sticky.
Clean Clear – This card is precious. Give the whole board a fresh start and you DON'T LOSE YOUR PROGRESS! Hard to get, powerful to use.
I think they make the game even more fun and satisfying to play. Whether you’re trying the demo for the first time or coming back for another visit, I’d love for you to check out the update.
Thanks for spending time with me in Zen Tiles.
– Rockwell
P.S. Wishlisting the game really helps my treat budget. And a quick review will get me one step closer to a new stuffy toy! I'd be very grateful.
New Update: Piece Rotation, Fresh Tunes, and a Little More Rockwell
Hey everyone,
We just pushed a new update live with a handful of features we are really excited about:
Tile Rotation is here – You can now rotate tiles to better fit your strategy (and maybe save yourself from those “oh no…” moments)
Tutorial Improvements – Smoother, clearer, and a bit more helpful as you get rolling
More Rockwell Moments – You’ll now see new messages from Rockwell as you unlock features like:
Rotate
Clean Clear
Swap Spots
Daily Music Picks – Each in-game day now brings up to six new tracks… hand-selected by Rockwell himself for ultimate chill (he’s got surprisingly good taste).
This update is all about making the experience feel more relaxed, a little more personal, and just… nicer to spend time in.
And hey—quick ask:
If you’re enjoying the game, a review really helps more than you might think. It helps more folks discover it and keeps the whole thing moving forward.
And if you’re not enjoying it… well… what was it our moms used to say? “If you don’t have anything nice to say…” 😄
(Kidding—honest feedback is always welcome too.)
Really appreciate you all being here and spending time with Rockwell.

We’re getting ready to share the official Early Access release date for Rockwell’s Zen Tiles — and it won’t be long now.
In Early Access, Rockwell begins his first journey abroad… Japan. Expect serene garden scenes, peaceful tile-clearing moments, and stunning views inspired by quiet mornings, golden sunsets, and maybe even moonlit nights near Mt. Fuji.
This first chapter focuses on a small collection of carefully crafted locations designed to capture the feeling of simply being there — unhurried, reflective, and calm.
More details (and the official date) are coming very soon.
Until then… Take a breath. We’ll see you in Japan
