Road to Omaha 2.0 is the largest update in the game’s history.
The original Division 1 dynasty experience has expanded into a complete college baseball universe with more programs, deeper players and coaches, true pitch-by-pitch strategy, richer historical tracking, and a completely rebuilt interface.
Build Your Baseball World
Choose the universe that fits your preferred style:
- Classic Universe: The focused experience with approximately 300 Division 1 programs.
- Expanded Universe: 1,170 four-year programs across Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, and NIAA.
- Full Universe: 1,565 programs across every four-year level and three JUCO divisions.
Every competition has separate conferences, standings, polls, statistical leaders, finances, awards, schedules, and national championships. Players and coaches can move up, down, or laterally throughout one connected baseball world.
True Pitch-by-Pitch Baseball
Every game now runs through the same expanded pitch-by-pitch engine, whether you play, watch, instantly simulate, or advance the rest of the universe.
- Call individual pitch types and locations.
- Use pitcher repertoires, command, confidence, fatigue, catcher game calling, and matchup data.
- Choose offensive approaches, steals, hit-and-runs, sacrifice bunts, bunts for hits, and squeeze plays.
- Control shifts, infield depth, no-doubles defense, pitchouts, mound visits, substitutions, and bullpen usage.
- Track launch angle, exit velocity, hard contact, barrels, chase rate, whiffs, win probability, leverage, and run expectancy.
Strategy affects the odds without guaranteeing an outcome. Good pitches can still be hit, strong runners can get poor jumps, and even skilled bunters can fail.
Smarter Manager AI
CPU managers now use the same tools available to the player. They build matchup lineups, manage pitching staffs, set defensive assignments, use platoons, call steals and bunts, make substitutions, and adjust throughout games.
Managers also behave differently based on their coaching ability, philosophy, aggressiveness, patience, bullpen preferences, and use of analytics.
Expanded Players, Ratings, and Development
Players now have much deeper hitting, pitching, fielding, catching, baserunning, durability, and pitch-specific ratings.
- Universal underlying talent scale across every competition level.
- Recommended 20–80 scouting display, with optional precise 20–80, 1–100, and 1–1000 views.
- Scouting uncertainty, confidence levels, evaluation disagreement, and narrowing ranges.
- More varied development, including breakouts, late bloomers, stalls, declines, position changes, and two-way development.
- Expanded individual training, fall practice, mentorship, conditioning, defensive work, and pitch development.
Lower-level players can develop into high-level contributors, transfer upward, and become legitimate professional prospects.
Coaching and Staff Overhaul
Coaches now have detailed skills, philosophies, personalities, backgrounds, regional connections, career goals, and development potential.
Staff members directly influence development, recruiting, scouting, retention, game planning, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and in-game decisions. Coaches can climb through the college ranks, change roles, become head coaches, lose jobs, retire, or occasionally leave for professional baseball.
Recruiting, Transfers, and the Pro Draft
Recruiting now operates across one connected national player pool.
- Recruits consider playing time, coaching, development, geography, facilities, finances, relationships, and professional opportunities.
- CPU programs forecast roster needs, departures, draft losses, and transfer risk.
- Players can transfer between every competition level.
- JUCO players follow a true two-season path before transferring, entering the draft, or leaving baseball.
- The Pro Draft evaluates eligible players from every enabled competition.
Deeper Statistics and History
Expanded tracking now includes detailed pitch, swing, location, batted-ball, baserunning, catching, fielding, and decision data.
Fielders receive putouts, assists, errors, fielding percentage, range factor, Outs Above Average, and Defensive Runs Saved. Catchers receive framing, blocking, passed-ball, stolen-base, and caught-stealing statistics.
Season and career history remains available across batting, pitching, defense, baserunning, awards, transfers, injuries, coaching moves, finances, recruiting, and postseason results.
Completely Rebuilt Interface
The interface has been rebuilt across the main menu, dynasty setup, dashboard, roster, strategy, recruiting, staff, finances, standings, statistics, tournaments, offseason, game day, and settings.
- Full light and dark themes.
- Responsive layouts for phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, and ultrawide screens.
- Permanent live score ticker.
- Stable navigation and connected offseason and postseason flows.
- Division selectors throughout standings, polls, statistics, and tournaments.
- Improved tables, cards, brackets, modals, spacing, scrolling, and player information.
- Gamepad and Steam Input support.
Performance and Major Fixes
The save, simulation, navigation, and historical systems have been optimized for much larger universes and decades-long dynasties.
- Faster incremental autosaving and compressed portable saves.
- Improved long-term history storage without removing complete season or career statistics.
- Faster recruiting, transfers, lineup creation, defensive assignments, rendering, and background simulation.
- Teams can play whenever at least nine healthy players are available, including emergency out-of-position players and position-player pitchers.
- Fixed false tournament forfeits that could incorrectly create a 9–0 result during an active game.
- Fixed Auto Strategy, lineup validation, division-scoped rankings, tournament navigation, schedule creation, and numerous interface issues.
Road to Omaha 2.0 keeps the original data-driven dynasty experience while turning it into a deeper, more connected, and more personal college baseball world.
